Everything @karlovonamesti said!😅 A friend sprayed Valaya on at Nordstroms and it smelled like soap in a public lavatory. She had to get that washed off by hour 2. Skin chemistry I guess. Fast forward lalaing through Burlington....I find Mystique Bouquet, a "dupe". No problem I can return. First hour....this is Valaya. From that point on the fragrance evolves and gains a crystal quality...a refreshing green....with harmonious florals. Each floral note is the best part of peony of lilly of the valley of orange blossom. No one will be offended by this beauty easy spring/summer reach. Sillage and longevity are controlled by the sprays. Well dressed put together woman.
My most complimented frag by complete strangers…by far! People stop me (both men and women) and look at me completely perplexed, as though I completely and unexpectedly flipped their world up side down (in a good way), and ask…..”OMG, is that you??? What are you wearing??? It smells like amazing!!!!!” This will be the safest blind buy you’ll ever make!!! If you haven’t tried it, seriously…what the hell are you waiting for? I’m not going to mention projection and longevity because at 35 a bottle, why does it matter? Spray however much or as little as you need to achieve them both.
Its a decent smelling fregrance but its super weak
She's lovely femenim and sophisticated. But the thing is.. i find it boring. She's beautiful and all and I do like it but it's not special or one of a kind, it's floral and that's all, i can't smell the rest of the notes. 7/10, a crowd pleaser.
I see the resemblance to Valaya only the first two seconds, afterwards it is like a better version of Prada Paradoxe. Overall a fine crowd pleasing scent, and you get decent quality for the price.
Just got a decant of this. The opening is great and really does remind me of Valaya. Unfortunately the musk that dominates minutes later smells EXTREMELY synthetic and cheap. This is a pass for me, but will be letting this one sit in case it improves. I have a decant of Valaya on the way and will compare/update this when both decants have time to settle.
Personally, I don't like this scent profile enough to buy the much more expensive versions like Valaya or Fleur Narcotique. This fragrance sits somewhere in the middle of both, and it a very pretty laundry detergent floral. I get almost no citrus/fruit from this, and it stays faithful to the opening for the life of the fragrance. Lovely airy florals with the tiniest bit of an almost peppery backbone that makes the sillage 'sharp' in the way that allows it to stand up to even very cold or muggy days. Smells like freshly washed clothes with a an airier ambroxan undertone that helps it project and stick to you for a decent amount of time. Overall, happy to have it in my collection as an easy, uncontroversial wear.
It’s very faint. I can only pick up the citrus scent. My husband says it smells like diesel fuel. Asked my 17 year old daughter and she said it smells like a gas station. Like what?
smells like a less sweeter prada paradoxe
I cannot find words how this makes me feel! Forever repurchasing even tho I have valaya, this is more feminine I would say, more delicate
Let me preface this by saying I've only smelled Valaya on a test strip, so my comparison is limited! This is a difficult perfume to describe, I've gotta admit. After 4 months of maturation, everything has blended together so seamlessly that few individual notes stand out. The opening is bright and airy, with a fresh burst of citrus. It's not a cleaning product scent, thankfully! I get a hint of mandarin most, and maybe bergamot, while the peach isn't juicy or syrupy. It's very subtle. After the first few mins, it quickly settles into a soft floral bouquet. Orange blossom is usually a note I hate (it turns soapy on my skin!), but here it's blended so well that I barely notice it. If anything, the peony stands out most, adding an airy sweetness. The citrus takes a backseat and melds into the florals. This perfume is very musky, but uses a clean musk rather than an animalic musk. It keeps the citrus and florals grounded. You'll definitely need to enjoy musks to appreciate this one! There's also a subtle earthy quality in the background, perhaps from the vetiver or oakmoss? It's not damp or overly green, so don't be afraid! I don't get any vanilla, it must be hiding from my nose. This smells fresh, but not in a clean laundry way. It reminds me more of stepping outside into crisp, new air! Like the breeze on a spring morning. I think this works year round both day and night, it's so versatile. I can imagine it as a beautiful wedding day fragrance, honestly. It lasts well on my skin and projects nicely, without overwhelming anyone nearby! Comparing it to Valaya, I found Valaya a little more sparkling, perhaps due to the aldehydes... while Mystique Bouquet is definitely more fruity floral. I also prefer it to another dupe, Delilah Blanc. DB feels slightly closer to Valaya BUT it's quite flat to me, like a drink that has lost it's fizz... whereas MB has way more sparkle and floral lift to keep the musks tamed and balanced.
If you like valaya, you’ll love this. Less sharp and definitely more enjoyable for my nose. It’s not my favorite DNA so I didn’t keep it but I’ll say it’s pretty spot on and overall a pretty girl perfume that smells unique.
This is my baby girl. I can confidently say this is the first fragrance I've bought in this scent profile. I haven't smelled Valaya yet, but I love blind buying and being surprised, and wow... this did not disappoint. Mystique Bouquet is THAT GIRL! It smells like you just got out of the shower in a luxury hotel. It's beautiful, effortless, clean, feminine, with little touches of florals here and there that make it feel so elegant without trying too hard. The longevity is amazing. I get around 8 hours on my skin, and even longer on my clothes. I've also been complimented multiple times while wearing it, which doesn't happen often with my other fragrances.
Mystique Bouquet is feminine, elegant, and clean without smelling soapy or overly powdery. The opening is bright and fresh with juicy peach, citrus, and lychee and transitions quickly into a beautiful blend of soft florals and airy musk. Nothing feels too sweet, too floral, or too heavy. Performance is excellent on my skin with impressive longevity and a noticeable scent trail that earns compliments without being overpowering. As the fragrance settles, it becomes even smoother and more addictive, making me want to keep smelling it throughout the day. If you enjoy soft, clean, feminine fragrances with a modern musky floral character, this is a great choice. It has become one of my absolute favorites.
screechy synthetic floral on opening, but once it dries down i get juicy mandarin and litchi mixed with clean air. almost like you’ve just washed your sheets and have put them on your bed on a warm sunny spring morning, opened the windows to let the breeze blow through your long curtains, and took a big whiff of the orange trees outside. beautiful honestly, just hate having to put my nose through war in the beginning to get there.
I got my hands on the discovery sets of the afnan bouquets because everybody talks so well about them. This is the second fragrance that I try from that box. I won’t go on listing notes of what I smell because I am no expert or anything, I just like perfumes for myself. I don’t like this one nor the other one. It’s scratchy, on your face strong and it dries my nose. It’s plasticky and worse than anything, I cannot pick any flower in it. It’s a no…
This is long lasting fragrance and for me it's more unisex than feminine. It's good scent with some slight screechy masculine notes but musk and floral are so good at first hour. I wish I can point out which note here ruin this for me so I can avoid that in other perfume. This was perfect scent if not for that one note.
This love affair started in bbw. Was there to pick up hand soaps and I randomly sampled some body sprays. Infinite radiance is bbw dupe for valaya. It smelled wonderful, not like the usual cotton candy sweet sprays of bbw. Purchased then went looking for a perfume dupe and found this little bundle of joy. Y'all...she smells great. Adult floral...not preteen not elderly. Just smells like a woman that has her sh!t together. I layer her with the infinite radiance lotion. Back up bottle ordered.
The akigalawood note is missing, but it's still a very good dupe of valya (Have a valya sample). Slightly less fruity, less sharp and a bit more peony heavy but identical nonetheless.
I feel this to be more a dupe of Freedom Musk Santal than Valaya. Anyway, it is gorgeous! 100/10.
Not sure how anyone would say this is a good dupe for Valaya. It is so rough and synthetic that it makes me sick. You can immediately tell the difference.
Gorgeous floral fragrance with a hint of vanilla ❤️
I think it is fair to say that this perfume is a great take on Valaya; maybe more flowerish. But overall it smells great for a reasonable price. I guess Valaya’s sillage is a bit better but both are very long lasting.
The comparisons to Valaya are apt, if you stop smelling Mystique Bouquet in the first 2 minutes and can walk away clean, not experiencing what follows. Hang in there a few hours and let Afnan's fragrance fully unfold, and there's a starker truth here. First, to clarify, the perfumer for this fragrance is unknown. It is attributable to Imran Fazlani in that he is the only name attached to it, as the founder of Afnan, so I guess we can figure he's the man to talk to about Mystique Bouquet in the absence of anyone else. The first 2 minutes do smell a lot like Valaya, and it's my least favorite part of the fragrance. But get beyond that, and the notes lose the Parfums de Marly chemical blare and coalesce into three main accords that play out across 8 hours: bergamot and iridescent peach in the first 3, with trimmings of neroli, jasmine, orange blossom, rose, peony, and a hint of tuberose. The heart is green and grassy, lily of the valley, the texturally woody-green sweetness of mahonia, and cistus labdanum. The base is Ambroxan and Ambrettolide. The connecting tissue to these accords, right from the top through to the base, is regular 1960s Mitsouko-style oakmoss. Not hypoallergenic reconstituted oakmoss. Regular oakmoss that you can feel in your lungs. Unlikely it is IFRA compliant. It isn't even mentioned in the materials list on the box. Clearly Afnan is pulling a stealth mode here, and I'm down with it. Powdery, green, cold, the moss smells amazing, and it becomes clear that Afnan took the Valaya idea and reinterpreted it as a classical French chypre, disguised as some "new" 2020s floral. It lacks Valaya's Petalia and Akigalawood, yet it outdoes Valaya by using real oakmoss and a clear cistus labdanum note in a way that reveals the perfumer's superior skill in both finesse and blending. This one is a hidden treasure, folks. Classic, yet modern.
A slightly less musky, more floral version of Valaya. Very nice
The perfume's box and overall presentation are gorgeous. I adore the bottle, it's so pretty! And Afnan "Mystique Bouquet" positively resonates with me. I am truly starting to love the fragrance, I am! There's a caveat...I LOVE this perfume WHEN I get wafts of its bright citrus, gorgeous florals (mostly peony) and mossy amber. My complaint is that on my skin, the florals are extremely muted & weak. In fairness, the entire perfume is anemic and muted on skin. Most social media reviews cite this perfume's performance as stellar. Sadly that is not my experience with Mystique Bouquet. Within minutes of application, I cannot smell this perfume and no one around me can smell it either. The white florals are somewhat more evident with time (several weeks). And the base notes are gorgeous, as they perfectly balance and anchor the fragrance. But for me, I struggle to detect this fragrance within 10-15 minutes after application. I love this perfume's notes and fragrance. Hopefully with the passage of time, the perfume's performance will improve.
Very similar DNA to La Fleur Bouquet, which I also own, so it's a bit redundant for me... I also like La Fleur Bouquet much more. Mystique Bouquet is a lot sweeter to my nose, and it's a synthetic sweetness that I am not sure I enjoy. Also I recently determined that I do not enjoy peach notes, which is probably another reason this scent bugs me.
Absolutely delicious upon spraying, but after a couple minutes I get this note that I don’t like and cannot put my finger on it… maybe peach. But if I smelled someone wearing this in the street, I would think they smell good. Nice scent, just not for me
I have about every Valaya dupe I love it so much and it'd definitely worth picking up if you LOVE the DNA (not 1 to 1) It's a bit more juicier then other dupes. Glad I picked it up.
This smells a lot like Valaya, especially on the dry down. However, the opening smells much more fruity to me. Like someone added orange juice concentrate to Valaya. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but it does differ from Valaya in that regard. It's a lovely floral musky scent with a lot of fruitiness in the opening. Very easy to wear and has great longevity. Far longer for me than Valaya. It also has a stronger sillage for me then Valaya. Until I can afford Valaya, this is a wonderful alternative. Not an exact match but definitely the same vibe.
