Definitely signature style of Cécile Zarokian. It reminds me strongly of sheiduna by puredistance, both are quite nice and remind me of big red gum

I do not own this perfume for now but I have tried it .it's beautiful beautiful scent if you like this type of scents you'll love it performance is top notch if you smell this on someone else then you'll know the hype around it. Definitely worth a try

DO NOT GO IN FOR A SNIFF AS SOON AS YOU SPRAY THIS ONE! It opens like someone has smeared piping-hot bag balm on you. The opening is similar to Ani from Nishane, and the nose is the same. Ani, to me, opens like hot carmex, so the overheated medicinal facets are kind of shared. As this dries down, it reminds of one of the Sauvage versions- lots of spices rounded out with bright citrus and resins. The performance is great, a few sprays on my shirt lasted well through the 8 hours I was looking for. On my skin, it stayed for a good 5+ hours, which is pretty rarre for me. The neroli accord gives a super light powder note that appears just a few times to signal "clean" while the spices, at times, reminded of a Hot Tamale candy. The warmth of the spices gave me an impression of cinnamon without it being listed. I could do with a touch more vanilla in this, but layering it over something like Club Black EDT by Mercedes Benz could easily solve that. Very warm, very comforting, very masculine without needing to threaten bloodshed. If you can make it past the opening, this is a good option for warm (not hot!!) days or cool nights.

I can see why people like this fragrance so much but it’s definitely not for me. I think it’s very interesting unique and I can definitely appreciate it for what it is but to my nose it’s just a bit too spicy and peppery I’m also not an oud fan and I absolutely despise patchouli. Unfortunately these notes are prominent the entire time and the fragrance just doesn’t evolve enough over the span of its longevity which I wouldn’t mind if I thought it smelled good in the first place. I think I would like this better on someone else.

Anyone with JHI batch can tell me about their performance? i am def not getting this beast mode performance i’ve been hearing about.

Outlands has one of the most interesting concepts in the collection. Bright citrus paired with honeyed, vanillic woods, sitting on a foundation of oud and warm spices. On paper, it sounds like it should constantly evolve, but in practice the honeyed woods dominate almost everything else. They're incredibly rich and syrupy, to the point where wearing the fragrance can sometimes feel like a challenge. I wish the citrus, oud, and spices had more room to breathe. Still, judged purely by its smell rather than its wearability, it's a beautiful composition with a distinctive character that's hard to forget.

Outlands is outstanding, i do really see the resemblance with Layton from parfums de marley but its not the same . It does hint on Layton but this much deeper and denser and i do really enjoy the scent. Performance is how would you expect it from Amouage its well above average. Only issue is the price . I do however got it with a 25% discount on Christmas when i was in Germany. But the retail price is not really justified here. 9/10!

I don't think I've ever been more disappointed by an Amouage. Given the hype and the perfumer, I was expecting a nuclear, clean, synthetic spicy incense. I'm working from a 1ml sample from scentplit.com, so it's possible that I have a bad batch. That said, I get nothing but a clean, citrusy, slightly spiced incense that fades within two hours.

One thing that intrigues me about this style of modern perfumery is its ability to blur textures. Outlands feels fresh, spicy and creamy all at once, which sounds contradictory but somehow works. I suspect the benzoin, vanilla and olibanum are doing much of the heavy lifting, smoothing the sharpness of the citrus and spice. It’s a clever trick in these modern ambers, though not one I remember seeing much years ago, and I’m still undecided as to whether I enjoy it or just admire it. There’s so much going on that it’s difficult to isolate individual notes. I get plenty of frankincense, along with a big dose of pepper and orange blossom, but beyond those it’s hard to tell where it starts and finishes. It does feel very polished, and there’s no questioning the quality of materials. Dare I say, perhaps a bit too much for me. But that’s an individual preference rather than a criticism. If you enjoy big, projecting and ultra long lasting perfumes in that signature Amouage style, you’ll absolutely dig this.

Reading notes and reviews about this fragrance did not help me understand what Outlands smells like. Neither did testing on paper. Only wearing on skin reveals the full experience. It does not smell *like* anything else - it's a journey. Some parts of the journey I found enjoyable, some parts not so much. But now that I have experienced the journey for myself, I don't think I will go again. Whatever trouble it takes to obtain a sample is well worth it.

@Heyy_briana Calling people who disagree with your olfactory opinion uncultured because they don't share your taste is pretty pointless. Fragrance is subjective. You can praise a perfume without pretending everyone who prefers Bleu de Chanel or Sauvage has inferior taste. That's just crass gatekeeping. And while we're on the subject of "class," being crass isn't just about insulting other people's preferences. It's also writing a review that leans on profanity like "this is a fucking masterpiece" as if swearing somehow strengthens the argument. If a fragrance is truly exceptional, it should be able to stand on its own merits without putting other people down or trying to shout louder than everyone else. Mmmmmm okay?

The initial few minutes are quite strange and kind of medicinal smelling. When I tested it and smelled the opening, my reaction was "hell no". I think I mostly pick up the resins and pepper, not much citrus. Luckily, I didn't throw away the test strip and smelled it around 15min later. The dry down is smooth and creamy with spicy resins in the background. I enjoy the dry down quite a lot. For some reason reminds me a bit of Boundless from the same house. Also, Boss Bottled Absolu late drydown (like several hours after spraying) kinda smells similar. It's obviously best suited for fall and winter, not really office friendly either. Trust me, if you wear this in high heat, no one around you will appreciate it. Longevity and projection are off the charts. I would also say it's a masculine fragrance, can't really see a woman wearing this. I did get a full bottle but there a couple of problems with it. First of all, it is waaay overhyped on social media for some reason. It does smell really good and I appreciate the craft, but it's far too expensive for what it offers and how rarely I can see myself wearing it. I think I kinda fell victim to the hype as normally I wouldn't even bother with such an expensive fragrance. Secondly, when you do wear it, some people will tell you that you smell like an arabian prince - and I'm not sure if that's a compliment...so yeah, definitely not blind buy safe.

I received a 5 ml decant to see what all the hype was about. It’s really good. The opening is BAM; STRONG a lot like Royal Tobacco. I really like the woody spicy Amouage DNA. Reminds me of Layton or Bottled Boss Absolu on steroids! It’s a beast for a good 4-5 hrs but then it settles down more than I was expecting, at least on my skin. I was expecting it to project strong for a solid 10-12 hrs but it really doesn’t. I’m glad I sampled! With all the hype and being a big fan of Amouage I was considering getting a full bottle. That’s a lot of $$$. Might need to get my nose on Rayhaan Terra.

I will wear this all year round, but I can see it not being a summer scent for many. Its spicy amber goodness, a masterpiece, a work of art. If it cost $100 a bottle, it would be a best seller. But at its price, not so much. No fragrance $350+ is going to be a huge seller, because of the price. It really does not matter how good it is. Will I buy it again when my bottle runs out? Absolutely. But many will never buy at all at this price point. For those I recommend trying Ramad Oriental, its a very reasonable dupe. Do I prefer Outlands? Yes! But I do wear Ramad Oriental too. Rayhaan Terra is good too, but it has less of the spiciness and presence Outlands has.

this is a fucking masterpiece, anyone that says otherwise is used to bullshit like bdc or sauvage. This is high class perfumery you won’t smell everyday. Amazing thought from initial to fry down

Just a beautiful fragrance. Something I'd only ever wear for the winter and evening. Struggle to see where else it would work, as it can be overpowering for those around you. It fills up and stays in every room you enter. Not blind buy safe at all, and given the price, you'd be mad to not try a sample first.

Insanely beautiful, but the price is unfortunately insane too. The dupe from rayhaan and this are a beautiful blend of spices and resins with a hint of vanilla at the bottom that really softens it and mellows out the spices a ton. Unless youve got 400 euros spare, just buy the dupe, its pretty much the same thing as this, I tried both.

Smells like voilin rosin. I don't know why this is hyped up so much. I think I just dislike amber fragrances. 6/10

Luxurious spicebomb with more sweet-boozy smoky vibe to it with mild frutyness instead of citrusyness

Tried it in the UK a couple of months ago and ended up buying a 10ml decant. I like it a lot, it reminds me to the orthodox church we used to go when kids in a good way. I like to use it behind clothes and the smell it creates through fabric. Its mint citrus and resinous perfectly blended. Not a compliment getter but great conversation starter. Edit : this is undeniably addictive. I will get a full bottle 😍

Smells incredible but WAY too strong. No fragrance should ever be this potent. Instant migraine. Had to return it due to strength. I’ve been collecting since 2012 and have smelled thousands of fragrance. This is BY FAR the strongest and most unwearable fragrance I’ve ever come across and it’s not close.

A true niche masterpiece that restored my faith in vanilla as a note. I thought I didn't like vanillas, but this fragrance let me see that I didn't lie fragrances that use sweet, gourmand vanillas as a mass-appealing crutch - this fragrances uses it to guide a journey. The fragrance starts complex and dense, a mix of light resins and citrus that in time introduce spices like cardamom and saffron. Over the next few the spices mellow out into anise and coriander and the citruses become airy florals like orange blossom and geranium. In the dry-down the resins get a second wind and frankincense, amber and labdanum remain to complete the 16 or so hours of wear I get on skin. Throughout the whole wear vanilla acts like a regulator keeping the spices, resins or any other note from becoming overwhelming. Perfect projection and longevity. The fragrance can fill a room, but not in a Purpose 50 kind of way, but in a more gentle candle sort of way. Longevity is insane, I get 16 hours, 10 of which it is at its high projection level. If you haven't tried the original I suggest a 2ml sample at least, as you need a couple real spray to get all the notes and the full journey.
