FACT: I first asked a celebrity what he was wearing to find out what it initially this was! & Now I may still have more bottles & aftershave & tubes of body lotion of this than maybe possibly anyone!! I could never be sure of that, But was a signature scent maybe 6 & 7 years ago for a reason & was at the time of its discontinuation, I revisited it yesterday Wore it for the first time in along time & got compliments almost everywhere I went! Friends! Fast food ordering & at the gas station!! ⛽️I had been thinking I had outgrown it & was too old for this one just before applying that morning, But the fact is that Blue Sugar still is & will always be the shit!! Just that much more unique now!!!
I have a 3.4 oz and a 1.7 oz available. Message me if interested.
Ultra-licorice, candyfloss bomb of a fragrance. I wore this throughout my teens, and it’s what got me into gourmand scents. It’s a crime that it’s no longer available, and the prices it’s going for now are ridiculous—I used to pick up 100ml for £20. I have about 80ml left, which I’ll treasure and use sparingly. It’s very sweet with burnt sugar and true licorice notes, and it’s literally the blue/man version of Pink Sugar. Please come back.
I need this to come back.
I sell a bottle with roughly 50ml in, contact me for info if interested! (I'm not selling it for 250+, it's a human price)
This was sooo good. Shame on the people trying to sell this for 250+ I hope you get the shingles.
I miss my bottle
This I decided for a little over a year was gonna be my signature scent! How wise that was? Still not sure! This I’m sure must have mixed reviews..Many years ago I got to know a bad ass public figure whom I asked what fragrance he was wearing & he said he couldn’t tell me, lol But back in maybe 2017 as it was being discontinued I figured out what it was & so happened was in the nick of time! And was able to find multiple bottles & tubes of shower gel & body lotions & aftershaves etc BARELY before this sky rocketed in price!! & Now,These days still off and on every since, People who I’m sure both love and hate it ask me, What it is I’m wearing & for the hell of it I’ll say I don’t remember lol..I have some vintage Lolita lempickas & By Kilian L’Huere Verte & Xerjoff Lira & with the exception of maybe Kerosenes “Black Vines” This is still my favorite gourmand Licorice fragrance that I own! Another example of a cheap, But really good fragrance people are still paying almost four times the price for, BECAUSE THEY KNOW!!!
If anyone has a bottle that's not over priced please let me know! Thank you
I am from Italy so this fragrance can still be found sometimes at fleamarkets for a very decent price. I bought my 100ml bottle years ago and used 35ml of it, I hate this scent, I really do. It smells like burnt sugar and licorice, it's sickeningly sweet, I am open to sell it to anyone who wants it.
God I miss this stuff, I still have a little sample vial from about 10 years ago. Such an amazing gourmand.
I love this fragrance, it smells so unique and I used to get many, many compliments while wearing it. Perfect for a night out as long as you don’t get too trigger happy. If anyone has a reliable source for getting this, or even a dupe that smells close to this, please, please PLEASE let a brother know.
This might sound weird to say, it smells like burnt candy. I mean that in the best way possible. It smells awesome and I can’t stop smelling it every time I spray it!
I must say this is as unique as they come for a mens fragrance. Never smelled anything like it.
Spicy Cotton Candy. It has beast mode sillage, projection, and longevity. For the price, this beats many more expensive fragrances in performance.
Anybody looking for this, Fragrancebuy.ca has a 300ml for $27.
I just got a 3.4oz for 30$ from a seller on eBay. Great fragrance,I tend not to like licorice fragrances but there is something special about this one.
If any Canadians are looking for this one it still pops up at Winners and Marshalls stores for $29.99. Saw a few bottles just last week.
This is sweet, but not cloyingly so, and a bit spicy and aromatic. I love anise, and so I'm really enjoying this. It reminds me of a cross between A*men and El Born by Carner Barcelona (but not as lactonic as that one), with a little Lolita Lempicka thrown in. I got the big 300 ml refill and am decanting it into smaller atomizers.
I have a few tester vials if this and the initial application is spicy. Straight anise. I didnt even know the notes when i tried it. But the drydown is the smoothest cotton candy with hints of spicy. Its not as sharp as pink sugar and I dont get the citrus with BS that i get with PS. Wish it wasnt discontinued. I think i prefer this to PS which I've owned 4 times in 100ml
Wow, this smells better than it has any business doing. The nose behind this has a gift for “once cheapie gems” and then having those discontinued??? What the heck? Sweet, cotton candy, BUT has enough anise, spice and citrus to counter it being out of a mans reach. It’s a Gourmand 100% and childish even, but damn it makes my imagination run wild on what I could layer with this for a unique swamp water fix? Natural mint? Leather? Booze? This is too fun, oh and I would never spend the crazy dollars this goes for, I found a large decant by fluke on my favourite site, and at the asking price I said why not? If you enjoy fragrance as art, this is that drawing your kid brought home that you just might convert to a tattoo, and never regret that choice. Cheers all.
I’ve owned this fragrance 5 times, both 50 and 100ml. This is a genuine licorice perfume, so if that’s what’s you’re looking for here you have it. I consider this one of my top fragrances but due to discontinuation the bottle has sky rocketed in price. I once bought a 100ml for 33 euros new and now they go for around 150 euros. Way overpriced these days but a truly unique fragrance.
I just got this, I managed to find an ebay seller from Italy that sold this for 66 Euros. And the product is still sealed and I think mine is legit. This is for me a totally licorice-ish perfume, and I can detect the anise and coriander as well, but the most prominent note for me is licorice. To be honest this phase doesn't impress me that much, because this is the smell of a candy that my late-grandfather used to give me when he was still around (Black Hacks Candy, anyone could relate?). And this phase stays very long, like 3-4 hours or so. And then the cotton candy blooms, with tonka beans and cedar, this is my favorite part, a candy gourmand, sweet and warm, the licorice is now only serves as a backdrop for the whole composition. And thank God, it stays this way for the next 4 hours or so. I don't think this is the dupe of Bond No. 9 New Haarlem. New Haarlem smells like maple syrup, and this is licorice-cotton candy.
This is a Bond New Haarlem Dupe! At a much cheaper cost..but I would think the Bond prices have gone down over time...this is stronger than Bond but you get the same coffee and lavender with the cotton candy actually making this smell like the dupable note of the vanilla in Bond...since this is stronger than the Bond and the Bond is quite polarizing please spray once with caution and adjust to both first then as you adjust you will be able to take in these strong fragrances and appreciate them..this is easily unisex if you love lavender like i do but tends to be sold for men..but gourmands usually have no boundaries to gender as everyone loves foody scents..this is a gourmand that can be appreciated...all the good ones are discontinued but you can still find it..
This is a great, potent, playful gourmand, but not for 220-250 dollars for a 100ml bottle. Don't blind buy it. You are NOT missing that much. And I LOVE gourmands. Sorry e bay inflators...
Wow,this fragrance is extreme!Extremely sweet,extremely performant,and extremely sexy for hitting on girls....Licorice,cotton candy,vanille,maybe a bit of caramel....What a treat!
DISCONTINUED. Do not over-rate it and trick peeps into paying $100.00 for it as a "blind buy". Not a nice thing to do. I'm sure there's a fake cotton candy for Men out there. At worst, there MUST be a Mugler that is unisex. And smells like candy.
N8vDoll I guess the Pink is saccharin and the blue is aspartame?
I bought a 1.7 blue sugar for me and pink sugar for my wife back in 2013 when I first started watching Youtubers like Robes 08 and Drac Doc. There was no Jeremy back then and I remember that the OG Youtubers highly recommended this gourmand. Fast forward to 2018 and I still can’t find the courage to wear this outside my house, I have sprayed it on me a couple of times just to try it, but I didn’t go out. I’m just scared with all my US Marines tattoo showing deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and the names of friends lost in combat tattooed on my arm (no disrespect to my brothers and may they Rest In Peace.) that people would give me a weird look, because I smell like a cotton candy. Now it’s just sitting in the back of my collection as a nice souvenir of my fragrance journey. I give props to men that has no trouble on rocking with this unique fragrance. My name for this fragrance is “Beauty and the Beast”, beauty for its uniqueness and beast for the longevity. I feel bad for people that loves this for getting discontinued.
WHY? Why do frags that everyone loves get discontinued? I’m not paying £200 for a bottle of this! All that happens when well loved scents are discontinued is that prices go up to ridiculous levels. Blue Sugar was a triumph as a unisex fragrance, it made people happy! It makes people ask what the beautiful smell is not decipher arcane notes of questionable substances. Who really wants to smell of blood? Or metal? Or smoke? Ok Blue Sugar and Pink sugar fill a room. They provide a cocoon of well being for the person who wears them. Bring it back! And why has YSL’s ‘Cinema’ suddenly gone? That was another of my happy feel good scents I could go on mourning the disappearance of favourites but it appears that the market only wants novelty and new products which have become increasingly bland and uninspiring.
