Pomelo Paradis

Such a realistic citrus smell. It's like some tore apart a pomelo in front of me and the aroma from the juice and peel has spread throughout the air around me. It is not too sweet, which is perfect, just right amount of sweetness. The sillage is weak and longevity could be better, but to me it's so worth it. I have heard that Atelier Cologne are known for their photorealistic citrusy scents and I can confirm. This is stunning, can't wait to wear it everywhere!

I love the citrus + vetiver combo...cheerful but complex. If someone could point me to a good dupe available in the US, I would be eternally grateful! It's true the sillage and longevity are pitiful, but I love carrying a mini in my bag and reapplying for the zesty pick-me-up throughout the day.

Initial spray is SO photorealistic it’s like eating the most juicy cold fresh sweet little mandarines dripping everywhere and stinging your palette, then it starts drying down to an orange citrus candy, kinda like those sugar coated jelly orange slices. So fun and nostalgic. Spraying on hair and clothes extends that unbelievably realistic opening a little more which is my favorite part of this scent.

What a great smell for summer , but gone in 15 minutes… no one will notice this if you wear it… what a shame!

I get pomelo first, all grapefruit peel, sharp, citrusy, almost resinous, like zest left to dry in the sun. Slightly dusty too, more sun-warmed than fresh. I also pick up a green, minty edge that stops it from going flat or too linear, along with a slightly soapy orange blossom and this tart-sweet orange caramel, sharp and sugary at the same time. I like it a lot. It’s bright, refreshing, and just easy to wear.

This is fruity floral citrus with a warm, fuzzy base. Has an oily quality.

Gone in sixty seconds. Literally. The scent is wonderful grapefruit and punchy citrus but it’s gone so fast it’s just not worth it to me. I sprayed on skin with lotion, clothes, and hair and I just can’t get it to last longer than an hour. Spraying on bare skin it will vanish in about a minute. If you reapplied constantly it could be great but that’s not something I’m interested in. Lovely scent though. It smells like fresh squeezed juice and zest and it brightens the room when sprayed.

this fragrance holds a special place in my heart due to it's role as the first perfume which has led me down this path of discovery. it was not what i had expected, as i had imagined it's notes for so long- it was much more utilitarian. there is soap, like the foam of a shampoo, and a suggestion of sweetness. it is like the image of a fresh pink grapefruit conjectured in a beauty product. at times, the sour and pith-like note becomes astringent- in fact, i would argue against the use of the fragrance in the summertime. it suits the spring and humid july-months well. like many have concluded, it does not last long. i suppose it to last around 30 minutes at most, and that is the time when you may crane down your neck to smell what is left. it is most usual that most people prefer a perfume with a stronger power and sense of permanence, considering the price. but unusually, for me, i don't mind much at all. in my view, it is preferable a smell to be fleeting, rather than persist past its stay. edit: so it has been a month, and strangely, i've just put this on two hours ago and it's strength in wear time astounds me! how peculiar but welcome edit 2: i'm not sure if it is that my skin has changed or my nose, but this has become delightful and juicy, i have no concerning thoughts about the smell at all.. there is no soap, only pomelo, and the summer becomes a fine time to wear

Pure juicy grapefruit, stripped of any bitterness and smoothed into something almost sugary. Less sharp green pomelo, more fresh-squeezed sweet pulp. It’s linear, sure, but that’s the appeal—it’s a no-nonsense citrus that doesn’t try to be anything more than refreshing. I appreciate the powdery drydown that keeps it from being even a tad sharp, leaving behind a subtle sweetness like the memory of a fresh summer treat.

This smells like I just peeled a citrus fruit! It’s incredibly photorealistic. Unfortunately, the performance doesn’t hold up, it just doesn’t project or last. It’s almost like they squeezed fresh mandarin and grapefruit juice into a bottle, let some flower petals soak for a while, and then took them out, that’s exactly how it smells and performs. This is a beautifully crafted, unique perfume in my opinion, just not great when it comes to lasting power on the skin. However, for layering or mixing with other scents, this would be fantastic! It has great potential as a layering fragrance or even for casual home wear. But honestly, it’s not worth the price, the cost just isn’t justifiable, even if, hypothetically, the photorealistic longevity was an intentional/artistic choice.

I mean. When life gives you lemons. You've basically got Pomélo Paradis. Lemons. 🍋 Mid.

I haven't tried the perfume yet, but the hand lotion is DIVINE. The best word to describe the scent is JUICY! I'm dying to try everything from this company.

If you ever wondered were you can find photorealistic citrus fragrances that are one of a kind and very hard to imitate or copy look no further than atelier cologne They made the best impression of oranges with orange sanguine And here the best representation of pomelo ever made The great Ralf schweger is definitely the greatest perfumer of citrus based scents I don’t think any other perfumer has the talent that Mr Ralf has Although longevity is very bad and projection is bad after the first hour still the perfumers talent makes me personally ignore the performance which if you have any idea of what kind of fraghead im it is definitely a big deal for me If you have any experience regarding citruses and you like smelling them on yourself then it’s a must have for you

Photorealistic citrus that doesn't smell too sweet; feels like peeling open an orange with your hands. It has abysmal sillage and longevity on me but I do enjoy the moment after spraying because it smells so fresh and delicious.

I love the smell of citrus but it turns into BO on me. Not this one. It smells exactly like fresh squeezed Pomelo that does not morph into underarm alarm stench on me. Like all citrus scents it does not last very long and I am so hesitant to keep respraying because of the hefty price tag. Really love this for summer and get a ton of compliments within the first 20 minutes of spraying

#639 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a nice freshie cologne. Projects very well initially, but has the same problem with staying power that all colognes share. Strong grapefruit and mandarin notes. Good for a Summer day. Casual wear. Completely inoffensive. Pricey for cologne strength, like the whole Atelier line. If you like this and want something like it that's EDP in strength, as I always prefer, 19-69's "Miami Blue" is $85 for the 30ml bottle.

Evoked Pomelo with Lime Lifesavers & Sparkling Tangerine... This is quite a realistic pomelo scent evoked by a blend of other notes. The blend of citrus & fruit in the opening reads like pomelo, with green & citrus tones of sweetened lime (like lime Lifesavers) & sparkling tangerine. All the notes are there, but they're supporting the illusion of perfectly ripe pomelo: Grapefruit is there with its zest but it's lacking it's musky pith; faint mint is there supporting the green aromatic tones (and I agree with other reviewers that the mint doesn't smell like toothpaste as can sometimes be the case with mint - particularly in some vintage scents I've noticed). Gorgeous sweet green citrus scent, but performance is average to below average for projection, and average for longevity for a citrus scent. I just have a sample of this and probably an aged bottle would perform better, or performance would be appropriate for warm weather. For what it is, it's a love for me. Enjoy!

Pomelo Paradis indeed starts with a very realistic pomelo scent, but unfortunately after 15 minutes it transforms into something very soapy, which is why I don’t reach for it very often.

My high school principle loudly announced something smelled so good when I walked past him. I think about this moment often.

It's a potent bitter grapefruit, with some tiny rose and black current... the mandarine is there as well. I was surprised by this cologne, I was not expecting the projection and the sillage to be that strong and sweet! I sometimes spray it on my pillows and the scent lasts for days. It's fresh yet has a gourmand feel to it that I'm really enjoying. A classy summery scent to that simply fits anybody's taste.

Atelier Cologne - Pomelo Paradis Ouuu this is a yummy soft pink citrus. There's some soft sweetness that I think is from a floral. Smells like something from Lush or a bubble bath. I picture the pomelo and grapefruit. This might be a new favorite from their line. Would be best for daytime spring and summer. Much more femme. Arms length sillage. I find it fades kind of fast. I wouldn't buy it, but I might keep a small bottle if gifted. They would make a very nice bath product.

I get the same tingly feeling in my nose when i stick my nose into my effervescent tablets of vitamin c, lemon flavoured. I like the scent tho, pricey but it smells nice and natural.

Atelier are so good at creating very photorealistic citrus fragrances and this one is no exeption. The mandarin and the grapefruit are truly the main stars here, then after a while a refreshing mint appears (that doesn't smell like tooth paste). In the drydown it becomes a little powdery due to the iris note, but still with the grapefruit and mandarin being the most prominent ones. I love it so much! I wish they made had an edP version of it. Or at least an edT, because the longevity isn't very good. But the other hand it's a cologne after all.

Beautiful fresh fragrance, leaves lots of sweetness after a fresh citrus opening. Intimate, good for people who want their perfume to be discovered rather than announced, disappeared completely in a few hours. The price doesn’t match the longevity at all. P.S Boyfriend described it as grapefruit Shweppes tonic fragrance edition - makes sense 😀

Pomelo Paradis is my easiest scent to wear, and one of my top 5 favorites. It's perfect for a hot day when you just want a light, fresh scent, and it's also perfect for a not-so-hot day when you want a little pick-me-up. It citrusy like the peel of citrus more than the juice, though there's a sparkling grapefruit juice quality in there too. Slightly sweet, slightly tart. It's like the perfect ice cold glass of lemonade on a hot day - it just hits the spot.

I get a very generic artificial citrus from this, like citrus scented dish soap, vitamin drinks and the like. To me this doesnt smell like pomelos or any other citrus for that matter, its not bad per se but very flat and forgettable.

A photorealistic sweet pomelo! I would say pomelo with sugar on top it is quite sweet but very natural smelling. The fresh zing doesn´t last though more than 20 seconds, then it is just sweet pomelo juice. Absolutely zero sillage AND longevity. Such a shame. Yes i know citrus scents are not meant to last but with this price range I would hope SOME sillage for the first 1h so I can enjoy this overpriced perfume on myself?? I have to literally shove my nose to my skin to smell it after 5min even if I douse myself in this stuff. Not bad but waaayyy overpriced.
