My daughter bought me this some time ago and due to the stupid spray top, it always leaked and drove me mad. I finally removed all of the plastic around the neck and just replaced the faucet-top sprayer and now use it daily after my morning shower. It's a bit sweeter than I'd like it to be, but a quick squirt cheers me up and is quite long lasting.
Sintetic wood ... Bit of a head ake
Opening Is Sweet, Hints Of Fruity Peach And Flowers, Some Whiffs Of Spice..Drydown Is Subtle Yet Intimate..Perfect For The Cold Cozy Weather.Longevity Quite Decent, Some Complexity Going On. Definitely Unisex..Good All Around..More Pleasant And Complex Than Benneton COLD 6.5/10
I just bought this out of nostalgia to remeber my high-school days and it smells nothing like I remember. I had Hot and Cold and seem to remember thinking Hot was extremely girly and floral as a kid and mostly using it in my bedroom as an airfreshner. But today it smells like a mature fruity freshie, unisexbut ever so slighly masculine leaning. Whilst it's pleasant and I'll certainly wear it, I only bought it for the nostalgia and it doesn't just smell like it has only been reformulated, it smells like a totally different fragrance. Is it just me? Have I confused it with cold? Please reply or drop me an inbox if you think so because I'm really confused. Usually fragrance I used as a child immediately invoke strong memories that I'd previously forgotten and this just doesn't even smell familiar.
This is ok for me. I can use up the bottle but I don’t love it. I like to use it as a base to layer with other scents, specially my Zara ones. For the price tho, it doesn’t smell cheap, it has the best atomizer I own.
Hot by Benetton The lemon in the citrus opening burns says for awhile, ...adding a tang to the accord of apricot, amber, and orris at Hot's heart. The sweet powderiness of this is quite noticeable, ...though the fruit and floral notes keep this fairly light and bright. A bittersweet woodiness, perhaps with oakmoss, comes in later. I suppose that adds some gravitas, ...but I don't really want it here. This is very intriguing to sample, ...though perhaps troublesome to wear. ...and that faucet handle nozzle is just annoying.
I like this quite a lot. It’s grown up, classy, elegant. Definitely not at all the sweet vanilla sugary candy scents that all the girls on TikTok are pushing right now. This one has a sophistication to it. When I first spray it I get a tiny hint of suntan lotion, and hot summer vibes. Not coconutty, but actual tanning lotion. I was wearing this once and my sister-in-law hugged me and said that I smelled heavenly and divine. I can’t smell it on myself a whole lot after spraying, but she definitely could so I know it has some sticking Power. I think I will try making this my signature for this summer, I like a signature to be not too extreme, not to head turning, just a nice beautiful glow. It is quite sandalwoody, and that’s not really my thing, but i’m really hoping that the lemon or vanilla vibe that everyone talks about starts to show up for me
This is a pretty and complex scent for the price! I definitely like the citrus in the top and mid and I love the warm earthy dry down. I feel like this would be a beautiful scent for any occasion. It has good projection without being too loud. I’m not sure if it’s entirely my personal vibe but it is a good fragrance!
Close to Chanel Allure, but overall softer, and with a stronger jasmine note. Inara by Swiss Arabian is similarly priced, but stronger and lasts longer.
I blind bought this when I was a teen. Back then to my young nose this was overwhelming at first, but eventually grew on me. I bought a bottle off Fragrance net for $14 or something recently. Hello old friend! Just like I remember, but maybe a little weaker. It’s a spicy orange, vanilla, sandalwood, amber hug. I adore it. Signature worthy. When I was a teen I thought the name Hot fit it, but now 25+ years later, I think cozy, chai spice or warm hug is a better description. I have other perfumes that belong in the same family I would say, L by Lolita L., Curve Crush, Cuir de Nuit, and Betsy Johnson. To me they’re all gourmand. I had a friend who wore Allure, makes sense that I like that too. Hot is an affordable gem!
Shares a lot of notes with Versus Uomo (which preceded Allure by five years) and wears similarly, but it lacks the lime and lavender that makes Versus more traditionally masculine. The rosewood, which is present from start to finish, might be the best I've experienced. There's a hint of coconut and cinnamon in the top notes. Hot is especially cheerful in cold weather. It's well-balanced, well-crafted, and one of the better value for money purchases. (It smells much more sophisticated on skin than paper.)
For the price, it's delivering crazy value. Doesn't smell cheap at all, has the right strength, and hitting all the right spots for a good perfume in my book. Quick transition from citrus to powder, an amazing powder accord, not too much violet, not too much jasmine, not cloying, all in balance. And the best comes last, that amazing lush sandalwood with slight touch of vanilla and florals, again in balance. Very much unisex in the drydown but has a phase of a classy, demure feminine phase in the heart. It's just good and again, for 10 euros (sometimes less), this is unbelievable value.
Oh my god!!!!! I literally hate this fragrance so much… it’s my moms most dented bottle and reminds me of my childhood but I actually can not stomach it.. she loves it to this day, but it’s a nauseating combination of heavy citrus/wood with a powdery dry down. I might be overreacting, but I just rlly wish I could wear it. It’s so bad ;?
I've just got this and sprayed it on my arm and it makes me feel... happy? Maybe it's because it reminds me of the happy times when I was sniffing Allure in Douglas one year ago with my best friend lol. I think they are very similar but I've never had Allure since it's way too expensive for me, at least for now, so not 100% sure... Either way, I love it! Very woody.
This is an interesting one so far! I bought a pre-reform bottle. Their batch codes repeat every 7 years I think? I can’t remember, but I’ve been able to pinpoint my bottle to around 2000/2001. It is very similar to Allure by Chanel. In fact, that’s why I got it. I like to buy dupes of my favs, and I use them as a base and layer the real thing over it. It helps me save my more expensive bottles, while still being able to use and enjoy them but for longer. I will say, my bottle just arrived in the mail a few days ago and it literally has never been sprayed before I got it. Still was in that old plastic box, if you know! So I can’t judge the performance of it just yet. It lasted for many hours but only had sillage for maybe an hour. But the juice is dark and ambery colored, it looks like my older bottle of Allure from the late 90s. And honestly, both that older bottle of Allure and this older bottle of Hot, they smell the same when I first spray them. And by that, I think both of them have lost their top notes. I have a newer bottle of Allure that actually performs well and I get every stage of it, so that’s my frame of reference as to what makes me think that this and my older bottle of Allure have lost those top notes. Will come back to let you know how this evolves. 🥀
This really is a 90's scent. I reach for this when I want a hit of nostalgia for my teenage years. This has notes I strongly associate with Exclamation (my ultimate 90's flashback scent) and Tresor but more gentle. When I first got it I thought it didn't have much going on to differentiate it, but upon wearing a few times I find it much more cuddlesome and easier to wear than my other 90's nostalgia accents. This one gets worn if not frequently, regularly. One morning it hit me that there's something mildly and pleasantly animalic about this, at least on me. Cheap and surprising wearable.
I blind bought this scent and it's quintessentially '90s, omg. It's so familiar but I do not recall ever wearing it nor knowing someone who wore it. For a cheapie, it is pretty well blended. The amber, sandalwood dry down is delicious under the fruity white floral bouquet. My only complaint, its longevity is non-existent. When it dries down the only notes I can decipher are amber and musk but there's another note that adds a weird off-putting twang to it. All in all a decent-smelling fragrance.
This is such a beauty, but the longetivity is not good, very affordable scent will definately repurchase again, I have no idea how Chanel Allure smells like but I find this so similar to Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue Nights which is one of my favourites.. My Rating 7/10
It's pleasant everyday scent. No note stands out for me.
I can't attest to the state of Benneton's Hot these days. I have a mini that's at least a decade old which I've been hanging on to for a long time, along with a mini of Cold. They're cute as hell, for one -- the tap-shaped caps are adorable in miniature -- and Hot is so incredible and feels classy beyond its price tag (whatever that was for such a teeny tiny bottle so long ago). Once the alcohol dies down, Hot has a smooth, creamy apricot opening with a bit of a woody bite from that rosewood note. The apricot persists for hours and for me really makes Hot what it is, rounding out a base of gentle vanilla, sandalwood, and musk. I don't get much jasmine from the experience -- probably due to the age of the sample, which either was formulated differently or has aged in a certain way. Overall, it's warming while straddling several common types of warm perfumes -- woody, vanilla, spicy -- without falling solidly into any of them. Not super strong -- perhaps also due to age -- but lasts a good six hours on me. Though you might assume from the name that Hot is a cold weather fragrance, it's honestly quite versatile -- I have fond memories of wearing it on rainy late-spring-early-summer kind of days, when it rises beguilingly from the skin into the humid air. As it is, seeing how people review newer editions of this perfume, I'll be savoring my ancient little sample for all it's worth!
This has a vintage magic about it, but man my skin pulls out that jasmine and brings it to the forefront! Jasmine gives me a headache so no chance of actually wearing this, but I think it’s really pretty none the less! Edit! The drydown is so good that I was willing to get through the screechy jasmine to reach the soft vanilla woods. Love the smell but it gave me a headache sadly :( Not much projection but this would be lovely and cosy in cold weather if it works for you!
I remember buying this perfume in 1997 when it came out because it was in a quirky bottle and cheap and got it for work to save my more expensive perfumes.Last week I repurchased this purely for nostalgic reasons and it smelling slightly similar to Chanel allure edt.I received the newer bottle which is completely different in every way to the bottle on fragrantica for one it doesn’t last anywhere near as long as it used to.I do smell the apricot, mandarin, vanilla sandlewood and a faint floral then whooosht it disappears in less than an hour and has literally no projection it’s a shadow of what it used to be.Would I buy it again No not that it doesn’t smell nice because it does and does have the Chanel allure edt feeling but a perfume that lasts less than an hour is pointless even if it was £7 for 100ml I’ll use it up but won’t repurchase again I think I’d rather save my money and get Chanel allure instead. It’s a pity because it does smell nice but it’s longevity is an issue for me and I have a big perfume collection anyway so I don’t need this.
Very Soft Sexy Fragrance. I could Drown in this scent it’s so pretty❤️ Just Sweet and Sexy is all I can say about this scent, a little reminiscent of Tigress by Faberge from the 70’s. Most people do not remember that fragrance but to me this is what it reminds me of. Just ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ❤️
Batch code: 07094804 Production date: April 2018 Perfume Holding Made in Italy Ingredients: Alcohol Denat.; Aqua (Water); Parfum (Fragrance); Limonene; Linalool; Benzyl Salicylate; Hexyl Cinnamal; Citronellol; Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde; Coumarin; Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone; Butylphenyl Methylpropional; Geraniol; Citral; Benzyl Benzoate; Farnesol; Benzyl Alcohol
It starts off powdery. Starts of soapy even. Then it warms up and the complexity begins - it's warm and it starts to change. Amber pokes through, it's unisex and sweet but you get whiffs of flowers and it's the prefect scent to spray into your hoodie on a Saturday romp though the mall - as you look like a supermodel with black hair and light jeans and a leather bag and a swoosh of velvet deep red lipstick. Casual but extremely gorgeous - isn't that just like Benetton? It's hot and it's simple but there are complex layers - flowers, warmth, powder, always changing - special. I loved this perfume 30 years ago when it first came out. I remember talking to the Benetton sales lady once when I was buying clothes - as I did - wear a lot of Benetton clothes - and she told me that as it heats up it changes and gets warm and amazing - and she was so right. This is amazing. I'm so happy I have this smell in my collection. I cherish it. Oh and no wonder I love Chanel Allure - which came out years later - because it smells like this!
I enjoy this fragrance so much. I find something quite comforting about it. I think it may be the sandalwood and vanilla. I wasn't expecting this fragrance to be what it is from the notes. But I had heard it was very good, that it was a dupe of Allure, and that it was very affordable, so I decided to blind buy. It's good value for the price: 3.4 oz for around 10 dollars. The performance is not great, but at that price I don't mind reapplying. I read in the comments it may have been reformulated, but I'm not sure which formulation I got. I think it's likely the most recent one, since the bottle is different in design. Either way, a really good, enjoyable fragrance for a very low price!
This was something I wanted when I was like 10 I still love the smell for nostalgia reasons but I couldn't wear this out.
Its far from what I remembered So disappointed!
Doh! I have a new version of Benetton Hot and it's a bit of a disappointment. It sure starts out SO pretty, with sweet orange and apricot on the top that dries down to a pretty woods and light jasmine. But then it becomes a barely-there skin scent only 45 minutes in. I wish it had more legs because it's lovely but it's just not good enough to keep due to its poor longevity. I don't know if earlier versions have this issue but I just can't recommend this latest version unless you don't mind your pretty perfume doing a disappearing act. : /
