I’m not sure if i got a bad batch or not but this fragrance has always smelled like a glass of milk that’s been sitting on the counter for too long.

I think this can be quite polarizing, as my friend described it as an "old lady" scent, but I like it. It is strong. It dries down to a nice spicy scent after a while. At first, I smell the coffee the most. Good for fall/winter, nighttime.

I did a review on this a few years ago but I don't know where it went. I might have even deleted it, idk. Anyway, I'll try to keep this short. For me Bond No 9 is a pro a doing '2 sides of a coin' type scents. Meaning they somehow manage to make them smell like 2 things at the same time. Most sides are usually pleasant to my nose but this one had a bad side for me. On one hand I loved the banana bread side (and I'm not a banana lover in scents at all) but the flip side to my nose came across like literal nail polish remover. One wear you might get the banana bread more, then another time the nail polish comes out. Plus I do feel like this one leans a little too heavily masculine for me (and I generally like unisex scents). I ended up giving to a male in the family for a special occasion. Maybe some won't get these associations but this is one to try first (and maybe a few times even) before buying imo.

It's ok I like it. I don't think at this time I'd buy a full bottle but maybe a decant or two. I only have a small sample so I cannot tell the sillage or longevity but it's nice.

yep the dupe is 97% accurate

Smells like bananas. Too sweet for me, but I’m someone who doesn’t often care for sweet, gourmand scents.

This is probably one of the first fragrances I smelled that I had to keep wearing to wrap my head around early in my fragrance journey. First wear it was a no for me. Then the more wears I had, the more I started to enjoy it. The coffee and caramel notes caught my eye. Don't really get the coffee note as much as the caramel. But the mix of the florals with with the sweetness of the caramel go perfect together. Yes it is sweet, but not overpowering the florals make it more airy rather than cloying. I've heard people mention it smells like bananas, but I dont think its a photorealistic banana. More like a Banana Laffy Taffy where it is an impression of banana.

I really wanted to like this one - it has such a luxurious, caramelised scent. However, at least on my skin, it didn’t last very well. It smelled lovely on my clothes, but faded after just a couple of hours. At this price point, I expected much more. In my experience, Greenwich Village offers better longevity and more value for your money.

It's amazing how different scents can read to different people. I see some comments saying its masculine leaning, some saying it's feminine leaning. For me, it is pure masculine. A cologne through and through. Now, this could be because it reminds me so much of the cologne my grandpa used to wear. It was SPICY like his generation liked to wear (greatest gen, not boomers) which is why I totally get the comment about the 70s house party. If my grandpa was hoisting a party, it would smell like a mix of this and my grandma's azuree. On my skin, the sandalwood and ocean notes really pop and it doesn't smell remotely gourmand. Warm, spicy cozy slightly powdery patchouli sandalwood with a cool fresh "after sniff." Not my cup of tea but it still smells really nice. I think if I had no personal reference to these sorts of fragrances, I would find it very unique and interesting.

will be gatekeeping this one. its special. when no ones around i give myself a spritz and let out a moan judging this based on the luxe dupe called nightlife but it really had me by the balls on first whiff. to me it smells just like this nail varnish i used when i was 17, nostalgic, but my friend i was with didnt get that at all. probably Benzyl Acetate. we had a spray on our arm and spent the whole rest of the day sniffing it almost uncontrollably. he had no interest in fragrence before today. i think its just that i tend to like gourmands and florals but ive never come across a frag that does both well until now... it doesn't really explicitly come across as either, it has an uncategorizable quality that's alluring.. truly an enby icon. and you can be sure its not just you b∵c even my mum who hates perfume likes this. will be looking out for the original so i get to smell it with that marine note the dupe is missing

It is just so nice. This is a thick fragrance to my nose, and for that reason I think it’s unisex leaning masculine. There’s not enough fruit or florals to really punch this as feminine. Do not hesitate to try this as a guy. Performance is great, it lasts well enough on skin and lingers on clothes for days. This is a very night time oriented fragrance, and probably lacks the versatility to be worn in summer during the night or day. You kind of need a cool air around you to contrast the deepness of this scent. I do get the banana pudding comparison, but I don’t mind it at all. Though I wouldn’t even call it a gourmand either, it’s just the really refined deep sweetness that you notice. This is a very nice fun fragrance to wear on a cold night out in a city or the center of town. I would have to rate this as a 9.5/10. I start to crave the scent when I haven’t smelled it in a while.

So in love with this frag the moment I smelled the sample 2 years ago. My mom loves it as well! I just now purchased a full bottle, just gorgeous.

#F1 Nothing like I’d ever smelled before. Before this, I didn’t realize how unisex a fragrance could really be. This doesn’t lean masculine or feminine; it just works. The scent itself is fun and welcoming, which makes it a very safe blind buy. If you’re trying to step into niche fragrances, this is a perfect place to start your collection. Would I buy it again? Yes. I don’t use it everyday. To me, it leans more winter than year-round. And the notes? You absolutely get everything listed. The flowers, the caramel, and yes, the banana bread. Somehow it all comes together in perfect harmony without smelling weird or overdone. Rating: 9.8/10

This is lovely. It puts me in the mind of a great 70's house party. Don't know why or how, but it just has a scent that makes me reminisce.

A contemporary heir to Mugler's 'Angel'. New York Nights is in the same vain as Angel to me. Ambiguously gourmand but highly wearable. Reviewing new nuances with ever wear. I say 'ambiguously' because it smell like many things at once. The opening is either banana pudding, banana laffy taffy or unchewed pink bubblegum usually all three. There's a waxy quality from the gardenia and florals that causes this to me. Mugler was every sweet at the county fair .New York Nights is a Carmel latte dropped at a pier and goes into this abstract marine but not area. The coffee note takes a few wearings to detect but it's there. Not freshly ground or brewing coffee but more so latte stain.

I just got this as a sample. It's not the type I usually wear. My favorite is Young Rose by Byredo, Wild Bluebells by jo Malone, or Shiseido's Rose, Leather and Artemesia, also by Jo Malone. As for this one, I find it is starting to grow on me. The only of the Bond 9 NY i ever really liked was Bryant Park. But it's been discontinued

luxe nightlife by maison alhambra is a very good dupe of this for only around 20 bucks

Fragrance Journal Entry #93 So alot of people call this the "banana bread" fragrance but to me i don't get much of the bread part and the banana smell itself isn't like a natural banana smell, more of a banana puree like in a banana cream pie, so a bit synthetic syrupy sweet but very nice. The caramel in this is excellent and i would say it's actually the star of the show, the coffee note gives a bit of "rounded" feel to the sweetness. I don't pick up on much florals until maybe the dry down with a little powderyness. Overall this is a great date night intimate fragrance or one you just wear for yourself to enjoy, quite addicting actually. Performance is mid but worth owning. Rating: 8.5/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO

Tonight, we leave behind the smoky intimacy of late-night rituals and step into a fragrance world shaped by bright lights, bustling avenues, and the electric pulse of a city that never sleeps. Bond No. 9’s New York Nights has long carried a reputation for being one of the house’s most opulent, attention-grabbing creations—but reputation alone is never enough. Based on the notes, this fragrance promises a vibrant tableau of florals, caramel, and marine-amber nuances, aiming to capture the duality of New York itself: dazzling and glamorous on the surface, yet complex and layered beneath. The journey ahead is to discover whether New York Nights truly embodies that balance of radiance and sophistication or leans fully into its indulgent, larger-than-life personality. Let’s hit the streets, follow the neon glow, and begin. Opening: The opening is sweet, floral, and earthy. The primary notes I pick up are caramel, gardenia, carnation, and patchouli, with the caramel and gardenia taking the lead. The caramel comes forward first in a dense wave of sticky sweetness—thick, chewy, candy-like, almost nostalgic in how unmistakably gourmand it feels. Close behind is the gardenia, delivering a creamy white-floral lift that melds seamlessly with the caramel, preventing the sweetness from feeling one-dimensional. Supporting these two are the carnation and patchouli. The carnation adds a sharper floral counterpoint with its distinct clove-like spiciness, easily discernible from the smoother gardenia. Meanwhile, the patchouli lays down an earthy, slightly damp foundation—an effect I suspect is amplified by the marine notes—anchoring the opening in a deeper, almost shadowed texture. It's worth mentioning that, though residing at the base of the composition, the patchouli was immediately noticeable from the first spray. Dry Down: The dry down evolves into a sweet, warm, and gently spicy experience. The primary notes I get are caramel, carnation, coffee, and sandalwood, with the caramel and carnation retaining their dominance. The caramel persists with the same rich, sticky sweetness, refusing to fade into the background and instead maintaining its full presence from start to finish. The carnation shifts in character here, leaning further into its spicy, clove-styled edge while still echoing the floral impression from the opening. Beneath them, the coffee appears softly, offering a warm, roasted nuance that adds depth without ever interrupting the main accords. The sandalwood emerges as well, contributing a powdery woodiness—more powder than wood, really—that smooths the composition as it settles. I do catch the “banana” facet others mention, but it strikes me less as an independent note and more as the byproduct of how the caramel and florals intermingle. Performance: The initial projection within the first hour is very strong, easily extending beyond six feet, with a matching sillage that forms a thick, sweet, and heavy trail. After about 3–4 hours, projection softens to roughly 3–5 feet while still maintaining a noticeable presence. By the 8-hour mark, projection sits around 3 feet, and the scent trail remains detectable. The fragrance finally becomes a skin scent at around the 10-hour mark. Overall, performance is solid and among the more reliable offerings from the house. When to Wear: New York Nights is a fall/winter fragrance best suited for evening wear, aligned perfectly with the mood its name evokes. Its sweet, warm tones make it an excellent choice for date nights and special occasions, especially once it settles into its richer dry down. Thanks to the bright florals interwoven throughout, it can also work casually. I wouldn’t, however, reach for it in formal settings or the office, as its boldness skews too expressive for those environments. Blind Buy: I wouldn’t call New York Nights a safe blind buy due to its prominent floral components. Not everyone will appreciate how the gardenia and carnation play against the caramel. However, if you enjoy sweet, heavy notes and don’t mind a healthy dose of florals woven through your gourmand compositions, this is absolutely worth sampling. Final Verdict: I’ve reviewed several Bond No. 9 fragrances, and if I’m being honest, very few have genuinely impressed me. Some have been passable, while others veered into territory I found outright unpleasant. New York Nights sits in a class above the others I’ve tried from the house, offering a more cohesive, more polished composition—but it still didn’t fully win me over. The performance was commendable, reaching roughly 10 hours, and the scent profile was enjoyable, yet it lacked that “wow” factor I look for when considering a fragrance for my personal collection, especially at the premium Bond No. 9 demands. It’s a well-crafted gourmand-floral with a rich personality, and one that fans of sweet, bold compositions may very well love. For me, though, it stops just short of being full-bottle worthy. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 Versatility: Average Mass Appeal: High Gender: Unisex Value: Overpriced

Opening of sweet caramel coffee that's smooth and rich right from the jump. There’s a banana Laffy Taffy undertone adding a small extra dose of sweetness fruitiness stopping the coffee from getting too bitter. I get soft white florals sitting behind everything giving off a faint powdery vibe and a little headiness but still very smooth overall and kind of out the way. There’s also this touch of saltiness that makes it feel more like salted caramel rather than the usual thick, syrupy kind. I start to notice a bit of chocolate blending in with the coffee creating this warm, slightly milky, and creamy mix that keeps things interesting. The coffee slowly takes a backseat in the drydown as a creamy, comforting base starts to pop. This is a very unique gourmand coffee scent. The coffee is front and center but there’s so much else happening that it doesn’t make you smell like a walking coffee shop. It’s sweet, creamy, and balanced with that smooth floral and salty edge. Overall a very sexy, unique, and alluring fragrance. Totally worth the hype. I remember trying to get this for the longest time but it was always sold out on discounters so when it came back, I grabbed it instantly. Another great Bond9 fragrance and an amazing addition to my coffee fragrance lineup.

I have nothing nice to say about this it smells like nail polish remover trying to turn into burnt cake halfway through. It’s as if they tossed every note they could find into one bottle and hoped for the best. I was expecting something bold and unique, but… ugh, never mind. Total letdown. Thumbs down :(

Update: Sold I have a full bottle up on eBay purchased in 2023 at Bloomingdales if anyone is interested. Wasn't my style and because I opened it and sprayed it I couldn't return!

Like a mass produced banana flavored smoothie drink you would buy from a grocery store. Also has a hairspray like quality. A unisex (leaning feminine) floral fruity with a gourmand base. I think it is appropriate year round. Something about it is a little bit addicting. 8.0/10

#1465 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant. This scent is floral and sweet, but not excessively sweet. Definitely has a caramel latte vibe, more for women than men. For me, this is more a "New York Morning" scent. My then employer had an office just off 42nd in Midtown with a half-dozen bakery/coffee shops in walking distance. I think this "New York Nights", has a more New York coffee shop and bakery vibe than a night club vibe (the little cupcakes at "Baked by Melissa" 109 East 42nd. You'll thank me.) Emper has just released a $30 dupe of this, and pretty much every Bond No 9 scent, that dupe called called "Nights of New York." Haven't tried them out yet, so I can't speak to their quality, but like all Bond No. 9 scents I think this one is overpriced, as do most people it seems, hence Emper targeting their market segment with dupes. Like every Bond No 9 scent this is a nice scent, moderate quality, but it comes in a really artsy, cool-looking, almost outrageous bottle. So Emper's bottles are twice as outrageous. I personally don't buy for the containers, though I know girls do like an eye-catching bottle. I gave a scent to a 20 yr old friend the other day and the first words out of her mouth were, "I like the bottle." Anyway, nice scent. moderate longevity, arm's length sillage, yummy and inoffensive. It's not worth $280 for 100ml to me. But I will be giving the Emper dupe a shot.

Update: Sold Beautiful scent but it just wasn't for me. I feel like it leans more masculine. It smells like spiced banana nut bread to my nose. Also, the staying power was insane! I couldn't get it off of me if I tried! I have a full bottle practically if anyone is interested.

I get a strong bubblegum in the first hour and there is no notes that say bubblegum.

Анонім★★★★★

**UPDATE: The dry down is EVERYTHING. It's warm, but not heavy if that makes sense at all. It's addictively invigorating. You still get a little bit of those powerful top notes later in the day, but I have changed my mind about this being too heavy for hotter weather--wear this year round! Layer on top of Riifs Noor for an absolute POWERHOUSE! _____________________________________________________ First things first, I have BOTH fragrances I am mentioning so don't get it twisted. I just think we all should have the opportunity to smell like $450. Night Party by Metropolis is an inspiration of New York Nights by Bond No 9. But if I could only buy one again, it would be Night Party. I got it for under $20 and get a VERY, VERY close profile (about 90-95% similar). It's a sweet, sophisticated scent that gives CEO vibes. The sandalwood is the star here, and it's covered in patchouli infused caramel. The caramel tones down the patchouli so it smells less hippy, more...woodsy. The sea notes are there and supply the salt needed to make the fragrance not as sweet. I do not pick up the coffee note at all. This scent might get a little too heavy to wear in hotter weather, but would absolutely SHINE in the Fall/Winter or on date night. It's unisex, but leans SLIGHTLY feminine.
