Saw a video in TikTok someone did three underrated perfumes, I happened to have already two of those perfumes , so decided to blind buy this one too. It does smell more expensive than it is, put it in PDM bottle and people would go crazy, saying that I do like this bottle too. Perfume itself is pleasant and not too heavy, reminds me of Hermes Barenia actually, has this expensive smell to it. For this price it’s a true gem.

The way people talk about this made me think it would be juicy, herby, unisex. And based on the notes, I imagined something like Ceremonia Perfume de la Tierra, summery, fruity, patchouli. I’m here to tell you it’s not that at all. My first thought was I’ve definitely smelled a grown woman wearing this at the theatre. It’s slightly dated in the way CK One feels like the 90s. It’s a sparkly, amber-forward scent, and a bit peppery, I’d say pink pepper and black pepper. Very effervescent and bubbly, but not fruity at all. It’s like a fizzy ambery musk. The patchouli is so well blended you really don’t smell it at all, I think maybe that note is what I’m reading as black pepper. Almost in the way Byredo Blanche Absolu reads peppery and a little spritzy. Definitely more feminine though I can see why people say men could wear it. Probably won’t wear this much but it’s very elegant for the price.

THIS IS SO GOOD???This was a blind buy, i like her music and then i saw she released a fruitchouli and i was sold. This smells like a rainforest, tropical, fresh,exotic & like a conditioner from Garnier. Longevity & Sillage are sadly Trash,and even if it is really cheap im not sure if I will rebuy coz i grew out of the phase of Spending Money on stuff that will not last. One thing is that the 100ML bottle is HUGE! someone could hit u in the back of ur Head with it & cut all ur lights off, u would think it packs 200ML in it.

I hated it for the longest time after a blind buy, and after letting it sit on my shelf for at least 3 years, I am starting to like it! The patchouli note was unbearable, but it now blends well when layered with fruity or berry scents, making the fruity smells way more mature with depth!

Was sceptical trying this from reviews, I feel bad for this fragrance its slept on i think it's gorgeous specially in summer weather this is a keeper no harsh patchouli it's blends well with the fruits.

Don’t buy this! I did a blind buy, I heard people saying it smelled fruity guava but mature. I get nothing but nasty patchouli and old lady. I couldn’t even give this away nobody wanted it. Even the nasty stinky cat lady behind my job didn’t want it. I ended up giving it to a flea market. Please don’t waste your money. This is Britney’s only perfume I hate.

This perfume is not what you would expect from a celebrity line. It's earthy with elements of sweet. It smells expensive and grown up. And it is perfect for days when you need a break from the pink scents.

Melon/Tropical fruit chewing gum at the bottom of your mom’s purse. Sweet and fruity in the opening, the guava really is juicy and bubblegum like, later turns a bit earthy, the patchouli in this is similar to one in LVEB, slightly reminiscent of pencil shavings, couldn’t say that it’s terribly medicinal or minty, but the drydown definitely is more patchouli centered. Bright and carefree, a bit shampoo like - just reminds me of good times.

An intriguing fragrance that stands out from the crowd. Believe is distinctive, and unlike anything I have ever smelled before. You can detect fruity notes, but presented in an unusual and unexpected way. The patchouli in the base notes develops beautifully, giving the scent a slightly edgy, almost masculine character. In the final stage, the praline notes listed in the composition emerge, adding a delicious touch of sweetness.

Blind buy. Vintage bottle with metal side. Absolutely hated it at first. The notes clashed in a horrible way. And i am a patchouli lover. But i tried it again the next day and i guess it needed a few sprays to clear the stale juice because now i find it interesting and remarkable. Powerful projection and longevity. Its like a neon version of coco mademoiselle or Jimmy Choo (grenade bottle). Both of those fragrances, btw, came out within a few years of each other, and were created by the same nose. They are all products of the same era, including Believe. This makes sense. I strongly suspect Believe was inspired by Coco Mademoiselle. Meant to be a younger, wilder, quirkier take on it. I think if you like either CM or JC there is a good chance you will appreciate Believe. I smell the guava (juicy verging on syrupy, really delicious) and patchouli, but i also smell the honeysuckle and lime blossom. From hate, to curiosity and appreciation. Might end up loving it someday. Not sure. But pleased to have it in my collection. Update: This is beautiful. I feel pretty smart for taking a risk on this vintage blind buy.

I think Believe is niche quality as it’s weird, unique, strong, long lasting and unisex but my boyfriend said that it’s “the worst fragrance” I’ve ever tried. It’s patchouli dominant (which is going to be polarising) but with a liquorice/aniseed/fennel/star anise note which I really like. It’s dark and witchy and would suit a dark purple bottle rather than this translucent green. Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion bottle would be perfect for this. I like to think that Believe reflect’s Britney’s darker times - it’s the smudged black eyeliner and dancing with knives era. I hope Britney still believes. Stay strong Britney.

If you didn’t like it from the jump, spray it out a few times and let it sit in your closet or a drawer. After about 3 weeks, this bloomed into a gorgeous, candy-like, lush beauty! It reminds me of those guava candies you get from Thai restaurants. I have a collection of Britney’s perfumes and this one stands out as a real gem. Don’t be afraid of the patchouli either, it simply grounds all the notes together. I’ll be getting a back up bottle soon!

Believe is a time machine in a bottle. I can't pinpoint a particular person or place or instance where I've smelled any particular note in this fragrance, but when I smell Believe, memories from the 80's and early 90s swirl in my brain and I'm taken back to a time when it was not considered offensive to wear a bold fragrance in public, scent-eating molecules and hand sanitizer weren't so ubiquitous, and cigarette smoke swirled freely in the air. I grew up in a lower-middle class suburb of a large city, not so far from a fairly bustling and historic downtown, and lived in a home where everything (from the shag carpet and the asbestos-laden linoleum sheet flooring to the baked fiberglass siding and fruit-motifed kitchen wallpaper) was original and imbued with the scents of those two decades. I used Rave hairspray, purple peel-off nail polish, and my mom wore Poison (when it had been gifted) and Jontue. My favorite aunt had a Big-Texas, football-helmet hairdo, a Louis Vuitton handbag, and always carried Juicy Fruit gum, a lip-stick-stained stryrofoam cup with iced tea and a slice of lemon in it, and a lit Virginia Slim. I'd wished I could be her Kaboodle-carrying daughters with their department store-derived trove of cosmetics, designer clothes, and their Farrah hair. Believe, (ironically) unbelievably, takes me to that era even though it was formulated in 2007! Believe nods to 80s frags like GBH, Coco, and Eternity and also to 90s perfumes like Angel, CKOne, and Tommy Girl....but smells like none of them. The bright and juicy top notes are so fresh and uplifting. I've not got a lot of experience with guava (neither the edible fruit itself nor as a scent note) so Believe is novel to me in this way. The tangerine is definitely rounded out and less sharp or citric bc of it. The linden blossom/honeysuckle combo is lovely....crisply green and florally honeyed at the same time. I smell hay and tea, but also jasmine, lemon, bitter ivy, and smoke. The patch here is earthy and smooth, sweetened and kept out of "hippie" territory (but just barely) by the praline note and warm amber. The drydown is deep, crisp patchouli, a whisper of green fruit, and bright pollen. If you're thinking you'll like Believe bc you adore Fantasy, that's not a safe assumption. Rather than sweet, polite, and fun (Like Fantasy), Believe is a bit sardonic and malcontented...from a similar background, but wiser and entertaining some fringe ideas. I love this kind of fragrance...novel (at least for me), hinting at vintage, harkening to an older profile, and adding some modern flair. I can't imagine it was very trendy at the time. So Believe is a total love for me for the reach back in time, the headtrip, and the way the notes seem chosen purposefully to disregard trends. Can't wait to see what else it unlocks in my memory as we become better acquainted.

Blind bought this perfume of vinted and I love this. makes me feel like I'm in a sexy temple fountain in the mountains. It's sweet but not overwhelming and very refreshing.

Put this on today because I was reminded of it when I tested Aura by Dedcool. They're similar but not exact. Like sisters or cousins. Seeing as how this is probably the most unique and elevated of the Britney Spears perfumes, I'm not surprised a major modern brand has something similar in their line up. I think Believe is ridiculously good for the price point and definitely worth picking up if you're into fruit-chouli fragrances.

I love this perfume; it is currently my everyday wear. It is sweet and fruity, but not in an overwhelming way. There is an earthy base to it that makes this feel calm. Initial spray has that cheaper perfume smell that can hit you a little sideways, but quickly, as it dries down it becomes approachable and refreshing. It's definitely unique but is a really pretty, blended scent.

It has nothing to do with the other Britney Spears perfumes!! I really liked it, despite i' m a patchouli hater. It's a pleasant earthy/ green fragrance. In my opinion it performs better when the weather is hotter. I love the shape of the bottle!!!

When it comes to celebrity perfumes, Britney Spears is known for being top of the line. Indeed, there are some real gems, very well-crafted, that have been pleasant surprises, few disappointments, and even flashes of genius. Believe is a bit of an anomaly. It appeared, I believe, in 2007, right around the time of our friend's memorable meltdown. A meltdown that I understand better and better as I get older, by the way. Plus, there was a controversy surrounding the promotional poster; supposedly it wasn't her, or at least it was heavily photoshoped. It was amidst this uproar that Believe arrived in its somewhat "precious stone" bottle, not always easy to handle, especially if you have small hands like me. The juice is a bright, acidic green, not very inviting, but it certainly piques your curiosity. When I received my package, it was very cold; it had been sitting in my mailbox all day. I only got it in the evening when I got home from work. Precisely because of the temperature, I could barely smell it. I had to wait several days, several tries, before I could fully appreciate it. A patchouli that isn't overpowering, even though it's very present, is softened by juicy guava—a happy marriage I haven't seen anywhere else. There's a discreet but definitely present praline. But there's also mandarin and honeysuckle! This fragrance has character and can be quite surprising! Could Believe have been categorized as a "catch-all" fragrance called fruit-chouli? As a reminder, this term was coined by detractors of La Vie est Belle to ridicule all the patchouli-praline-sticky fruit perfumes that have sprung from this iconic perfume house by trying to imitate it. But here's the thing. La vie est belle was released in 2012 (or so I think), Believe in 2007. So, was Believe ahead of its time? No, not for the accusation of the crime of fruit-chouli, in any case. Not guilty. It remains a special case. Extraordinary, in the sense that it defies the ordinary. Not just original for a celebrity fragrance. Simply original. Don't blind buy unless you're a daredevil like me. It's divisive. You either love it or hate it.

One of my favorite fragrances—truly unique and refined. I blind bought a 30ml bottle of the older version, the one with the metal cap, before it was reformulated into the current all-glass packaging. Compared to other Britney Spears fragrances, Believe by Britney Spears is less sweet, greener, and more unisex. It opens fresh and green, with guava taking center stage. As it develops, the patchouli comes through strongly, making the scent feel deeper and adding a earthy nuance. In warmer weather, the praline becomes more noticeable, adding a brown sugar-like sweetness. That core remains all the way through: prominent patchouli, a chocolatey praline, and guava. The guava softens after the opening, while the patchouli brings a distinct woody character that really stands out. On my skin, it lasted around 8 hours, with impressive projection. I wore it to a party, and it projected at about a 1-meter radius for nearly 3 hours. I really enjoy its mysterious vibe—it’s an excellent nighttime fragrance for summer/spring. Just note that this review refers to the original version, which is stronger, denser, and less fresh than the current reformulated one.

Believe is such a gem. It starts off with a heavy blast of patchouli, but it transforms on the skin. Within a few seconds of spraying it on the skin, I get the sweetness and juiciness from the guava, and tartness from the lime blossom. I get the slightest sweetness too from the praline, but it takes a backseat. I think this scent is best during the summer, projection is much better in the heat mixed in with your natural oils. I dont find it too cloying, just a refreshing sweetness. If anything, some people may find the patchouli a little headache inducing if oversprayed. I recommend 2 sprays at most. Overall, this is a wonderful scent that's so different from anything else in my collection. The only other perfume I can compare it to is Peace Love & Juicy Couture, it may not have the same scent profile, but it definitely gives off the same clean "hippie vibes".

this was love at first sniff. gorgeous guava at the top. just bright and sweet with the patchouli enveloping the lime blossom and praline notes to make it a unique slightly sweet but patchouli dominant fragrance. this leans unisex if u ask me

Very sharp and strong opening. It's a nice blend of fruity, herbal, spicy. Definitely not for everyone.

Gem among Britney’s scents. I’m surprised at how much I like it. Patchouli can smell nice is all I can say. I didn’t know it can be so delicate and well blended.

Got this to add to my fruitchouli collection of perfumes. This smells very much like Fantasy Intense but with guava and patchouli. It definitely still has that classic Britney Spears perfume DNA. You can never go wrong with her perfumes. They’re all good. The bottles are so cute too to showcase up on my perfume shelves. Update: it’s been a couple months and wow! The guava is juicy and so delicious! This now one of my favorite perfumes of all time!

It smells like sweet, fresh, and juicy guava. Such a delicious and refreshing fragrance. the sweetness is fruity and very natural. You can also detect patchouli alongside the freshness and sweetness. Truly a unique and beautiful scent. میکس پچولی و‌گواوای ابدار. خیلی عطر خوشمزه و خنکیه شیرینیش از نوع میوه ای و خیلی طبیعیه. واقعا عطر خاص و خوشبوییه

TLDR: Very good. 9/10. So, funny story about this one. I've actually had a bottle of this sitting around for literal years, totally untouched. I received it when I was probably just a kid, and I only remembered I had it when I refound it while moving. So this poor perfume has pretty much sat in a dark cabinet with a bunch of other old beauty products for about 10+ years... Oops? Anyway! I've been wearing this off and on for the past few months, and man, I really do love this fragrance. It has a very refreshing smell. Juicy, sweet, fresh fruit. It lasts quite a few hours and definitely catches compliments. The ONLY off-putting thing about it is the almost minty opening, but it dies off within minutes for me. Otherwise, it's timelessly great... literally. 😭

Only bought it for the nostalgia bc my year 2 teacher used to wear this, but it’s really strong, which is why I remembered it so vividly over a decade later. not good for migraine havers but the smell is unique and quite pleasant
