A scent for loverboys! I blind bought this baby purely because of the guayaba note, and while it delivers less on that than I'd like, it's still really pleasant. It's clean and vaguely soapy, but not just generic soap. It smells like an expensive bubble bath with floral oils in it. Which sounds like it shouldn't be in a masculine fragrance but it works so well. It's brightened up by the fruitiness (which lacks any sweetness I can detect), and rounded out with spicy, musky aromatics. Somebody down below said this smells like a Spanish guitarist and I can definitely see it. It's classy and clean but spicy and interesting, and has a watery freshness to it that makes it perfect for hot weather. Pretty decent longevity for an EDT, but surprisingly good projection. Gonna be wearing the living daylights out of this thing.

A very clean soapy safe scent. All I feel is a strong citrus and mandarine opening, accompanied with a faint amber that’s gives a nice balance, but isn’t robust, is rather used as a backbone to hold all the sparkling citruses. I see this as a nice bathroom clean scent that could be great as a room scent. Too safe for me, but this is surely a hit for the masses, perfect for who wants to smell like a shower gel.

So many ingredients, and I can smell almost all of them. It is well composed. Soft and pleasant. I appreciate it more and more.

I have the original wide bottle that I bought in '21. This is one of the most unique citrus creations ever. Doesn't really smell like anything else. What makes this cologne a 10 for me is that guava note. It's very realistic. Super airy and fresh. Smells nothing like Terre D Hermes or Channel Egoiste (not platinum), but if you like those, you'll like this. Although this is darker. This smells like it should be on some Spanish guitarist who plays for a small group of people under a moonlight sky. I find myself wearing this in the fall mostly, listening to stuff like type o negative, which that band is all about melancholy riffs, falling leaves in orange forests, this fragrance definitely captures this mood. This is classy but also edgy. You can smell how masterfully blended this is. So many notes going on. But it's all about the guava

Versatile and well-balanced, Solo blends fresh citrus, aromatic spices, and warm woody notes resulting in effortless elegance. Smooth and refined, it strikes a pleasing harmony between freshness and depth, making it an easy to wear scent that feels both distinctive and timeless. I have about 2 ml left of a 10 ml travel size, but I've already ordered a full bottle. 👍👍👍👍

I blind bought this since it is not easily accesible nowadays in person and I am a fan of the brand having really like Loewe 7 Cobalt. I made the most educated blind buy purchase I could having read these Fragrantica comments, watched 3 YouTube videos, read some Reddit threads and made the purchase for $80. I really enjoy this scent! Such an herbal fresh semi barbershop type scent. I have a decent collection and nothing I have smells anything like this. To my nose, I can’t pinpoint which note stands out to me the most. It’s a nice balance of everything. This reminds me of sophistication. 9/10 scent profile for me.

This is how a Sugar Daddy should smell, lol.

god this is such an underrated gem, dont let the notes above scare you, its blended beautifully. a nice spring/summer fragrance, office or partying. smells old money but modern? if that makes any sense. 9/10

What a shame, I started getting interested in perfumes and reading reviews in Sack's comments about 15 years ago, and only yesterday did I try this gem. The guava note brings a different sensation. Leaf? Fruit? Peel? I don't think I'd ever smelled a perfume with that note before. The important thing is that I really liked it and should have discovered it sooner. After a few minutes, the spices and seasonings come into play, making the fragrance more pungent and aromatic. Over time, it becomes more woody and also with a slight touch of soap, old-fashioned, but not in a bad way. In short, it was made to be different from the ordinary.

Disclaimer: I'm a proud Loewe fanboy and Solo IS my favorite perfume so far. I remember the warm sunny day i decided to spend some time checking out scents at Sephora looking for my first "quality" fragrance. I liked a few and asked for samples. At home, i just sat there and adored Solo on my wrist and the blotter as well. It was so warm, sunny, sparkly and smooth smelling. I loved it so much i ordered myself a near full bottle online for a good price. I used it all the time, buying and trying different scents simultaneously. When my experience and taste developed, i started to appreciate Solo's uniqueness even more. Personally, i like complicated and "blended" scents as long as they feel textured, spatial and not cloying. Loewe does that perfectly, and here are a few standouts in this composition: At the top it has beautiful, juicy tangerine, few other citruses, and a touch of lavender and other spices. They are not like Terre d'Hermes sour citrus, but have more polished, a tad sweet-ish vibe. The top is then perfectly balanced by smooth, oriental, warm and woody mix of many notes, which im not even going to try and name. The important thing is the whole scent has perfect harmony and nothing stands out annoyingly. The base is delicate, with mainly amber notes, as well as resinous, "incense minus the smoke" foundation. I fell like this fragrance is really "compressed" and occupies the mid-spectrum, which works well for its character and projection. Its not a beast in any terms, but blends really well with my skin and clothes. For me, its the perfect signature scent and i can wear it all year round, day or night. In the summer its not cloying or heavy and wears perfecty at warm nighttime, in the winter its an amazing light daytime scent. It shines even more in spring or autumn. It's classy, office or school safe but definitely not boring. It's not outdated at all. It's suitable for every age in my opinion. I imagine a suited man driving wood trim E-Class from his neo-eclectic house to 2000s teal-glass office wearing this, as well as an official, smart casual or even holiday scent today. To this day, i can't find anything even remotely similiar. And because its so underrated, nobody tries to dupe Loewe scents, except the 7. If anyone knows something similiar to Solo, tell me right away.

I did a review a while ago, but I wanted to comment on the new version vs. old version thing. I bought a new bottle while I was in Spain, and I loved it. Then I read some reviews that, predictably, said "it has been reformulated, it's a shadow of its former self, etc." so I got a bottle of the vintage on Ebay. I have two comments. First, the new and the vintage very similar. Second, I like the new one better. That is because this has a certain delicacy to it that makes it perfect for the office, a lunch date, a summer wedding. It has many lovely notes that intricately balance each other. A light citrus, lovely aromatics, a light sweet smoothness from tonka, mandarin and musk, a perfectly applied mint, just enough fruity and spicy notes to balance it. But, to my nose, the vintage one has lost several of the top notes, to its detriment. True, the vintage has a bit more oakmoss, and is richer, sort of like an EDP version of an EDT, so some may prefer that. I often do with other fragrances. But not for this one. To each his own, right? If you are interested in a swap for the vintage, drop me a line.

My dad used to love this back in 2008, of I remember right it had similar vibes to Azzaro Wanted EDT (the yellow and silver one) but more citrusy, almost like AMW but with a twist of mandarin and less spicy, overall sweet, fresh and citrusy but not too informal, making it a great fragrance for all throughout the year for both day and night.

Анонім

Aromatic, fresh, clean, woody and a bit fruty, but with a retro twisted smell. It´s a little bit generic but with quality. Decent longevity and projection. Sometimes this remind me Aqva Amara By Bulgari, not the same scent but similar on the green and woody side.

Reminds me of John Varvatos Artisan

When I wear a very modern take on men's classic fragrances like this, I just wish I'd put on a vintage instead. This could never even come close, as it has all the elements required except the most important, namely real oakmoss.

Анонім

It smells like. . . sweet and woody Loewe. I own seven Loewe fragrances and, even if they are different flankers and scents, they all have certain softness, kind of an oily feeling. Solo would fit very well in a professional setting, at office, at a meeting

Анонім

This is a very well blended and refined old style fragrance that is made modern. The main thing that you need to know is that this is a dry woody aromatic fragrance. The citrus gives it a more modern edge. Unfortunately, it has a slightly sour almost vinaigrette opening, but for the most part this is bearable and seems to dissipate fairly quickly and well. It is not a beast or anything mind-blowing. It is basically an office-safe and mildly appealing normal fragrance. If you are looking for something “normal” for the average kind of day then this is a refined and well blended option. That said, I am usually looking for something more ultimate and interesting, so while this fragrance was a pleasant experiment, I would not buy a bottle.

Анонім

Surprisingly modern style here. Sweet citrus and aromatics + anise and caraway makes things interesting a couple hours in. This could sneak its way into my collection and rotation. 6.5 out of 10

Анонім

Beautifully blended, optimistic scent full of positivity and sunlight.

Анонім

Fantastic, very citrusy in the opening and with a spectacular drydown, with very high quality wood and nutmeg. Good performance and projection. It's a little more expensive than the average here in Brazil, but it's worth it. Perfume as perfume should be, with a very good smell.

Анонім

I get almost no notes off this. Mild sweet scent. Projects weakly to half a metre. Reminds me of Burberry touch without the performance and without that distinct thing that makes touch touch.

This is very a very interesting fragrance, even though It might seem a Little generic and dedicated to the era of its release, 2004. For those of us who were using fragrances back then, this could be very familiar. So, the scent...a very warm waxy and tea like fragrance, with a Little sweetness sprinkled in it. It seems a complex fragrance, that has a lot of notes in it, but very well blendend, It does not have any edgy notes that stand out. Similar to Solo Platinum. Performance is quite good, both longevity and projection. Beautifull bottle. If You can find this at a decent price, by any means go for It, just cannot go wrong with Solo.

Анонім

A unique scent. It definitely has an Oriental feel, leaning Arabic/Middle Eastern. Opens with a blast of citrus, maybe some petitgrain. It's aromatic, sparkling, fresh. Has a waxy aroma on the skin. Becomes very spicy and musky. Smells clean. There's a generous amount of amber, alongside an orange-citrus note (tangerine.) It's slightly floral. Becomes warm, with notes of sweet cinnamon and sandalwood. The base is a balsamic, musky skin scent. I believe this a "niche-quality" fragrance. Suits all weather, day or night. Is more masculine leaning, ages 25+. Performance is good. Decent projection, and longevity as a skin scent is 10hrs+ (on my skin.)

Tangerina, goiaba, canela?

I'm a female and I really am enjoying this fragrance so far. This is a very first impressions though** but I have been loving some of the offerings from Loewe. 001 Woman & 001 Man are both amazing - I am going through my 1 fl oz bottles of both of those way too quick though! I will need to buy larger bottles next time. This is another really nice fragrance! It's not like it is anything mind-blowing but it is very enjoyable nonetheless and something I would reach for. There are a lot of notes in this one. I get the citrus opening, but it isn't too sharp or anything... I also do get some spices, again nothing too sharp... the lavender & nutmeg are apparent to my nose. And then the base notes balance this out and come in quite quickly. Nicely balanced fragrance. Unisex. Can be worn to work. Will come back with better review after trying for longer.

Анонім

I will just say that I would buy a bottle just to keep it in hand for whenever God sends me my soulmate (I have been divorced for many years...). Hoping it will be put to use very soon!!! 😊😉

Анонім

I love this fragrance. I respect the comments saying it's not interesting but I don't understand them. I feel like it's a very complex fragrance and love both the fresher mandarin-aldehyde opening as well as the ambery woodsy dry down. My favourite part about this fragrance, though, is the graphite you smell a few hours in. It´s so unique. It's like a spicy pencil; I know that's not a very appealing description but it's so unique it amazes me every time I wear it.

Анонім

It's different from generic fresh all year around scene and it last about 5 to 8 hours on my skin and its little sharp but doesn't bother me like lots of other cologne I have so I'd rate this 4.5/5. I hope they make EDP in future.

This is a nice scent but I don’t find it an especially memorable one. I get mostly citrus lavender pepper and musk. Anyone could wear it though.
