To me this is like a more mature version of Touch, whereas this starts out soapier Touch starts out like fresh laundry. They both have that aquatic note feel. Also this one is warmer while Touch is brighter

This is really good! People say this is for older people but I disagree, any age group can wear this. It's classic but still modern. Best cheap fragrance I have bought in decades.

Imo, all year fragrance. It is like (affordable) classic gentlemen scent. Barbershop vibe, soapy, musky, polite. Surely not the one if compliments is what you are looking for, which is never my intention to wear fragrance. Might feel dated for some. Opening kinda remind me of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme EDT, not identical but the vibe. Although I can say this Burberry feels more mature. Projection and longevity is decent. Not bad not great. I occasionally wear it to work, although I cant say it is my staple frag for office, as I have better option. For 35+ i tend to say blind buy safe, but not for younger guys.

I don’t typically assign fragrances to age brackets but this one is undeniably suited to the “mature” crowd. It’s not bad, with a heavy bergamot opening and strong woody, mossy presence for the duration, it’s just not a stand-out. There are better options at the price, with more character. Do you remember the principal from Ferris Buler’s Day Off? This is his fragrance. This is what the 60 year old recently divorced gentleman over applies on his first night at speed-dating. On the positive side, it is bland enough to work in literally any setting, any time of day or night. Again, not a bad scent with decent performance. 6/10

I blind bought a 50 ml of this for 20 something bucks at Ross, my guilty pleasure. This is an interesting one, as a 22 year old, I find this to be a unc scent, but I think it’s because it smells like this manly body wash my dad would always use, smells just like it in fact. Fresh but in like a woody minty way, almost has this cooling effect. I believe the body wash was dove men. I like it, it’s nostalgic, it makes me think of vacations where I would use my dad’s body wash in the shower and this smell would make me feel manly and fresh. Besides the nostalgic feelings, this one doesn’t really even come close to the others in my collection so this little bottle will collect dust. This scent is a 7/10 I’d say, definitely fitting more for a man 26 and up. It also kind of reminds me of polo cologne intense, it’s not super close but it has whatever woody profile this is, but polo cologne intense is WAY more unc-ish than this, like 45 years and up, it’s nice but I could never pull it off with my baby face, good thing the blind buy was only a little 20 ml or so, perfect for my mini bottle collection.

Burberry For Men: The Ancestor of Barbershop Scents Some fragrances, despite being old productions, shed light on the future and remain innovative. However, this perfume is like the ultimate ancestor of old-school barbershop scents. I am honestly baffled by those who wear this in the summer. Even though it has citrus notes, its spicy and woody side is so heavy that if I wore this on a summer day, I’d probably end up in the emergency room with a massive headache. It's also hard for me to tolerate even in the winter. Age and Vibe I might be exaggerating a bit, but the age range for this is definitely 40 and up. I have no idea what a young man would be doing with a fragrance like this. While I respect the many people who love it, this is a scent I simply cannot stand. It is also unnecessarily long-lasting. Final Verdict This is a fragrance that will never have a place on my shelf. It’s a "grandfather's gift"—perfect for making the elderly happy. I’ll give it another chance if I ever make it to 70.

if you cannot find this specific perfume, try Armaf's legesi, this'll get the same feeling of it, just a little greener.

Wanted a masculine scent that wasn't too heavy, this is now one of my go-to ones

First Pass - Aromatic. Hints of musk, citrus, and wood. A cool nosefeel, perhaps nuanced mint 2 Hours Later - Aromatic. Slightly sweeter. Touch more wood & musk, faint citrus 4 Hours Later - VERY aromatic. Strong thyme. Citrus is gone. Still sweet, and a slight creamy nosefeel. A little warmer as well, definitely amber Overall - As I mentioned in my review of Cartier Pasha (1992), this is Burberry’s take on that scent. Cartier leads with coriander, Burberry leads with thyme. Both are classic fougères Personally, I find these 2 fougère expressions over-emphasize the aromatic component, veering into gourmand territory ***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

The overall vintage profile is a lot deeper and woodier and as an example for different notes, I didn't really get any oakmoss in the recent formulation but it is prominent in the vintage. The current formulation comes off as a lot fresher. In the current it's primarily lavender and bergamot initially, with mint coming through with the thyme near end of open. Sandalwood, cedar with jasmine, and some difficult to discern floral notes in middle. Base is semi-sweet vanilla and musk with a touch of spicy leather. Those notes all exist in the vintage, but the dry down on the vintage is noticeably more powdery and a lot more complex; that oakmoss does a lot of heavy lifting that the current formulation can't really make up for. It's more mature and might be thought of as dated though (not a drawback for me as I like old school scents), whereas the most recent formulation was clearly re-tooled to be fresh and airy take on the fragrance. I paid $40 for a 100ml at Marshalls and rated it a solid 'like'; I don't know what the pre-reformulation goes for as it didn't come up immediately on a quick Mercari search, but I would rate it higher in quality so if it were under say $70 and I didn't have a bottle of either, I'd go with the vintage. Back to preference though, if you prefer more airy fresh takes that come off as a bit more modern you might end up liking the current more so it's a mileage may vary situation OR a use case since the fresher scent leans more warmer weather capable and more day time whereas the vintage would do better in cooler weather.

This gem will always remind me of christmas. My grandmother used to buy me a bottle of this for christmas back in the mid to late 90’s. Quite a mature smelling scent by todays standards but back in the 90’s it was this and the og le male that were the standout teen fragrances…maybe along with ckone and ckbe. Fond memories of this fougere, the basis of the scent is still there, only difference might be that it is weaker these days for longevity. As far as this type of scent profile goes it’s one of my favourites. Lavender, vanilla, spice…this one is boozier than le male which made it perfect for christmas week…even if i was 16 and no alcohol needed. Solid 8.5/10

I blind bought and it's not disappointing. Easy reach, affordable, signature scentable. Honestly the description on here is accurate, probably not going to offend anyone or get a ton of compliments either, not that it isn't good. Mild sillage, projection, and longevity. I've moved on in my fragrance journey, but if you're looking for cheap but classy, mass appealing, and probably blind buy safe, Burberry men fits that bill.

I'm a fan of this one. To me, it is a good choice for most occasions. It has a sophisticated vibe to it, but I can see younger women liking this smell on an older guy (it doesn't smell like an old man). This scent seems to remind me of a well put together guy walking on a crisp fall day in NYC with leaves falling in central park or something. That's the vibe it gives off. It also has above average longevity.

It’s a great DNA, and I’ve only owned the modern formulation, but unfortunately for me the quality level on the blend here is just too low. The opening is fine, but the drydown has a somewhat sour and stale quality to me. I’ll try platinum égoïste and hope that works better for me. Side note, smells like a cheap L’Immensite also.

smells vintage and definitely suited for older men. it isnt horrible, but definitely not blind buy friendly since it has a very minty/herb forward scent which not everyone may like.

Burberry Men is a classic and familiar scent that many will recognize from its smooth, timeless vibe. The opening is fresh and citrusy with a clean, relaxed feel that makes it easy to wear in everyday settings. As it settles, the blend stays understated and pleasant with soft woody and aromatic undertones; comfortable and unobtrusive. However, while it’s perfectly pleasant and has that traditional charm, it doesn’t stand out or excite me the way some other fragrances do. Overall, it’s okay and definitely classic in style, but not one of my personal favorites.

Classic, Masculine. This perfume is the real Niche perfume.

Timeless scent. Masculine, aromatic , spicy, woody fragrance (I also get a whiskey accord) Recent batches are a joke, I get 3h longevity max. If you have an old bottle keep it; new bottles aren't worth the buy.

Let me do a big mea culpa right here. My initial impression of this was lukewarm and downright dismissive. I very nearly got rid of my bottle, but wore it the other night and I was completely captivated. It’s creamy and fresh and masculine without being overly macho, not that that’s a bad thing. Timeless is a word you’ll see associated a lot with this one. And for good reason.

I am shocked that this fragrance isn't talked about more. Its super fresh, spicy, citrusy, woody - reminds me of a barbershop or what a "man would smell like". Is it the most modern smelling fragrance? I wouldn't say so, its a bit dated, but it still smells amazing IMO. Great projection, lasts about 6 hours on my skin, and is great value for the price. This is a fragrance that I will be restocking on for the rest of my life.

Signature-scent worthy, versatile, masculine, cheap. This is really a dumb reach scent that hardly fails for the 6 hours it lasts. Good on skin, very good on fabric. I liked it at first snif, but I've been falling in love with it the more I use it.

Timeless quality scent. It's hard for me to discern any single notes, but overall the blend is fantastic. Moderate longevity with fairly decent projection. This is a "dumb reach" scent for me, as I can use it for virtually any occasion. Fairly cheap (price wise, not the quality) too

Its a classic. Far superior to Coach. Multi-Seasonal. Good price from a good house. Very good smelling and sexy but not ostentatious. Appropriate for most occasions.

This is by far one of my favorite scents of all time. It’s classic and timeless and yet doesn’t smell like anything else. It’s sexy, classy, and not the least bit offensive. It may not grab you the way other scents may, but I think that’s why I love it. It’s just a great, classy, scent that can take you from work to an evening out with ease. It has a warmth and at the same time, some of the herbal and citrus top notes are a bit cold. At today’s price, this is a great blind buy for those who have never had it, in my opinion.

The lynx/Axe Jungle fresh is the perfect dupe of this scent. Haven't worn the Burberry in months but got a nice bathroom gift set of bits and bobs for fathers day and immediately thought of this when sprayed the lynx. Awesome deodorant that goes perfect along with this for casual daytime wear! The things that excite you when one gets into their 40's lol. Such a classic men's scent. Burberry have some crackers.

By my estimation, this is one of the most tastefully formulated masculine classics on the market, and I genuinely struggle to find any circumstance where this fragrance would not be appropriate. It is decidedly masculine — the lavender, mint, and vanilla notes put this squarely in classic barbershop territory — but not overwhelmingly so by any stretch. I am certainly not opposed to these sorts of fougeres, lavender bombs, and traditional superdude fragrances — I am a Drakkar Noir, Fahrenheit, and Polo Green defender as much as anybody else — but this fragrance is more a tweed sports coat than a leather biker jacket, if that makes sense. There really does seem to be a timelessness with this one that fascinates me to no end. It unquestionably presents like something you would have expected to smell thirty years ago, but by no means does it feel dated like some of its other designer peers (Obsession, I’m looking at you and shaking my head.) They aren’t on the note breakdown, but I feel like you do get a little bit of this tobacco/cinnamon/grapefruit trio that seemingly defined the 80s and 90s — but it is masterfully balanced with a sharp bite of bergamot and fresh florals that keeps it eminently wearable today. I genuinely think any man of any age can pull this off convincingly, and given how rare it is for a man to even wear a scent these days, I actually think it could have some surprising affect as a date night fragrance, too. It is as safe a reach as there has ever been, but without compromising in complexity, which is nice to see compared to the ever-increasing trend of shorter and shorter note breakdowns from newer releases these days. I find myself picking up different characteristics throughout the day if I smell my wrist — and at least for me, it does in fact perform well enough to do that — and if you’re one to care about such things, I’ve gotten a compliment or seven from wearing this at work, at family dinners, and even relatively serious formal functions. It is a truly legendary scent in the more moderate, temperate weather that you might see in the spring and fall, but the amber, vanilla, and sandalwood give this a surprising amount of punch as a cold weather performer, and at least for me, the bergamot, jasmine, and mint easily keep this from being overly sweet in all but the most oppressive of summer days; I might not reach for this on a July day in Arizona, all things equal. Anything under 90 degrees, though, and this fragrance stays very, very fresh on the nose. Performance is not beast mode by any stretch, but at least on my skin, I’ll still catch whiffs of it every now and again at the very end of a work shift (this is easily on my Mt. Rushmore of inoffensive work reaches), which is pretty good for an EDT at this price point. It never projects more than an arm’s length, but it doesn’t disappear all that quickly either, and it lasts about as long as you could expect a fragrance at this concentration and note makeup to last. I almost don’t want this to be a performance monster; I almost think it’s part of the charm of this fragrance, the fact that it truly holds fast to the timeless cliche that a fragrance should be discovered, not announced, and accomplishes this goal without being a total ghost, either. It might seem strange to wax this poetic about a fragrance that is, by my own admission, relatively average, but it is a representation of my philosophy on wearing fragrance condensed into liquid form — the most common male fragrance is body odour and you do not need to douse yourself in eight sprays of Ultra Male (love that fragrance, by the way, not slander) to bring attention to yourself when you walk into a room. It is vintage but holds up over thirty years later; it is masculine in a way that signals competence and intelligence more than flash and sex appeal; it is a dumb reach that does not come off like one whatsoever. I think any young person starting a collection should have a bottle of this, honestly. I think that highly of it. It is fresh and warm all at once, and for a novice fragrance enthusiast, maybe one who is hoping to be wallet-conscious and get year-round performance out of it, I can’t endorse it enough…and I’m not even sure it’s my favourite men’s release from Burberry! (I swear they’re not paying me for any of this, I just might be one of the world’s most vocal Burberry Touch truthers of all time. Review incoming for that when I have time to write a novel about it.) Classic, timeless, versatile, reliable. Love this one to death. 10/10.

Definitely fougere vibes. I get the hate from young people here, they're so passionate on hating that you can tell they're probably going back to this profile in 10 to 20 years. Id never wear this before my 35s or 40s. Some things are just not for you, and that's ok, you don't have to hate on them. I am not a fan of Burberry fragrances but I got this at a rack store for a ridiculous price and I am totally digging it. Elegant, well put, classic manly scent. Very uplifting after that morning shower. No, not groundbreaking or "banger" as the kids like to say.
