Jasmin Noir

This is a very evocative scent. When I first smelled it the opening immediately brought an image into my mind of a thick black fog slowly opening up to reveal a gorgeous white flower in its center. And the drydown continues with this story by grounding the flower on a bed of vanilla. The smoke and the spices also stay present. Incredibly mysterious scent, a work of art. My mom gifted this scent to me and I only use it about once or twice a year. I would use it way more if it wasn't discontinued. The day I run out of this beauty will be a sad one for sure.

There must be huge variations between the batches because I don't understand how many people here are calling this fragrance weak. I have both, the original version and the Splendida. In the original one, the licorice note (what many are calling tobacco) is more pronounced. It isn't as sweet as Splendida and it is a little bit drier, though smoothly blended. The Splendida one is good but much more gourmand. I love both, but prefer the OG. I bought two bottles of the OG just to make sure I don't run out if it. Sensual in a dignified manner, if that makes sense 😊.

Why are people saying this scent is a strictly feminine one? I'm pretty sure if I smelled this on someone I'd think: "Oh look, mx. melancholia over here...", but not about their gender at all! I mean, it does have my vibe too...

Очень люблю. Этот аромат у меня ассоциируется с грустью, слово "noir" в названии абсолютно оправдано! Аромат скорее женственный, но холодный. Возможно чуть строговатый, но скорее задумчивый, спокойный, с чувством собственного достоинства. Я чувствую больше всего дерево в сочетании с небольшим количеством зеленых нот, плюс по чуть-чуть жасмин, бобы тонка и пачули. Ноты хорошо слиты в один голос, вычленить ноты можно только если целенаправленно вслушиваться и смотреть на пирамиду. Надеваю их, когда у меня нуарное настроение, когда не хочется веселиться, а хочется уйти в себя, поразмышлять, отгородиться от всего мира. Вобщем, 100% аромат интровертов! Важно: эти духи НЕ ПОГРУЖАЮТ в грусть, а просто составляют фон, гармонирующий с тобой. Дают тебе побыть собой, не споря с настроением и не принуждая тебя быть кем-то другим (а-ля весельчаком) в моменте.

I initially stated that it is good for winter night, but today it feels appropiate for a day in cold weather. Possibly gorgeous for autumn or spring too. The start is near identical but sweeter than the Splendide version. I feel gardenia and green notes the most but soon many facets are revealed - musk, almonds, tonka beans, licorice. But the scent is subtle. The Splendide lasted near 12 hours on me. The Jasmin Noir is gone after 2 hours in this weather.

Luminous Jasmine bomb. She lures you into a dark alley you know you shouldn’t venture into but just can’t resist. The wafting gardenia hints at a bygone time. This shouldn’t be so addicting- she’s an old fashioned profile but reads like a young Elizabeth Taylor in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Mic drop. *** This is for the OG formulation only. The new formulation is sadness in a bottle. ***

I've had this for many years and it's a favorite. I don't like the newer reformulations. This one is moody and sensuous, perfect for a rainy Sunday sitting in a café when you're feeling introspective. Major love. Sad it's discontinued.

Beautiful jasmine and sandalwood duo. Very elegant although I wish it lasted longer. I personally purchased it twice already for myself and once for my mum as she loved the scent as well.

Is it me?? Is it the fragrance net travel tester? Near undetectable. I mean, it's really pretty what I do get. Skin scent for sure. Which I didn't expect from this brand.

at my aunties house for thanksgiving and she gave me a perfume tour of her humongous collection . she has mon jasmin which i really wanted but she said i could have this one because its simpler and doesnt last much (she was also shocked at how much it goes for now) . and shes right lol . but im really fond of it im getting a slight leathery accord coasting alongside the gardenia+tonka combo . slightly indolic but the almond halts it from going overboard . this is more gardenia to my nose than jasmine . ill probably just keep this as display and spritz on my hand every other month . ill have to compare to splendida version since this bottles already low-ish . i kinda wish there was a stronger note like birch styrax or chocolate to really set it off . edit: looking at the comparisons, this is a tad bit similar to M mariah carey, though that one has more patchouli and tiare . very similar vibe though

I hated this scent. The jasmine scent was overpowering and unpleasant. To make it worse, it just sits on your skin for hours. It's an annoying scent.

I swear this perfume is so sexy but it lasts like crap

Oh my God...I can't describe how that one smells but I can definitely say that this is one the most sophisticated, elegant, nostalgic perfumes out there. Sexy in a discreet way, clean, not very sweet, for every season or occasion. It's one of the very few perfumes that I constantly bring in mind when I am trying to figure out what perfume would be the best for this or that occasion. BUT... UNFORTUNATELY it has ZERO lasting power and this makes me furious, not only because this master piece goes away immediately but also because of the outrageous unjustified price.

Ok jasmine gardenia sandalwood but whola potent f k ing smokey incensy patchouli and when i say smokey i mean it pretty ambery incense floral fragrance this shlt is not light guys one of the most { not for everyone } fragrance I’ve smelled and not my thing there is a leathery undertone too much for me 2/10… 2 for the {at least it’s not Pure Leathery Animalic Smokey shlt}

Oh my god the way this doesn’t last is wild! It smells really nice very elegant but sophisticated elegant and it’s not a childish light scent so the fact that it lasts a maximum of like 30-40 minutes is absolutely crazy to me, idk how they even managed to do this.

This is NOSTALGIA in a bottle. This fragrance wraps you in a purple warm blanket filled with memories of yesteryear. It's not rainbows and glitter nostalgia.... It's a deep appreciation for both happy and sad life events kind of nostalgia. Definitely best worn in cooler weather. May lean soapy but in the best way possible. I do not like soapy but this one stands out!!

I can detect the gardenia and the jasmine so well blended. There is also a creamy and a little bitter almond and a very faintly licorice and tonka. This perfume is green and warm, a little soapy. Elegant and mature. They don't smell the same, but the profile of this one reminds me of Crystal Noir. Woody-creamy white florals, creamy, clean, and very well blended, not too sweet, not too woody, not too floral. Just elegance and silk.

OHHHHH :) ♡♡♡ Wow, how lovely <3 I just smelled this for the first time ever today. What a gentle, pretty baby princess scent. Slightly powdery, but still super creamy, so sweet and precious. It reminds me of a mother swan with her baby settled beneath her feathers, drifting through a pristine blue lake. Or a small white dove cleaning her feathers. Very clean, a bit milky, maybe there is intrigue brewing beneath the surface, but you're unsure. It is a fragrance that makes your eyes roll back. If this was a princess, it would be Aurora. Definitely makes me imagine old castles. I don't quite see anything noir or dark about it. For now, it's just fabulous and white. I need to spend more time with it. I feel like this scent would be gorgeous on a bride. It smells sort of vintage; timeless and incredibly classy.

Jasmin Noir has pure flowers mixed with green tones at the beginning, but then it turns to something sweet plus something that bothers me, can't identify what is that. However, the perfume dries down to a quite pleasant sweet woody scent towards the end, it smells expensively woody, but fresh and smooth. It's an elegant, adult feminine scent.

So, like most Bvlgari this is sophisticated and perfume-y. Which at this stage of my perfume game, I absolutely love. It’s very jasmine, licorice, & woody above all things. I’m not a fan of licorice but I love the Bvlgari DNA so much they could almost do anything and I’d love it. What they don’t tell you about getting into fragrances is that your nose & taste gets more and more sophisticated until eventually you smell like a 1000 year old vampire just going to the grocery store. I’m wearing stuff that I used to despise. But, honestly I’ve loved this house for a long, long time. Not that long for a vampire though, only 12 years or so. Speaking of this house why do they discontinue literally everything? Stop it. I like your perfumes! In the far, far dry down the licorice and wood gets very pronounced. It’s not my favorite stage of the fragrance.

This is what I wear on a cool, rainy Sunday when I go to the café to sip espresso and read a classic novel. It's a very "intellectual" fragrance, one that complements quiet reflection. It's a whole mood. The bottle is stunning.

The licorice and almond lend the florals a nutty, creamy, spicy profile on a soft base of woods and tonka. The jasmine is the dominant note throughout. It's a clean type of jasmine, no indolic/animalic facets to my nose at all. Which is expected given it's Bvlgari. Even the almonds here are more green than sweet. But their creamy, nutty facets are very much present. So is the faint sweetness from licorice that pulls the composition together. My favorite white floral to date. Just like Rose Essentielle is my favorite rose. Both discontinued, alas.

Fine, if you want to be nuked with patchouli. I don't.

This was the first perfume I fully panned. It is a perfect winter to spring transition scent and I think it is great day and night. The mix of white floral and almond is wonderful and I wish more perfumes had an almond note to it.

Creamily sweet jasmine and gardenia supported by a deeply warm and woody base, the anise gets stronger on my skin as it settles. It really reminds me of a floral skin cream mingling with a patchouli-forward woody perfume, reaching the right balance on the skin. Transitional weather for this one, spring and autumn, and maybe warmer than average winter days, can't be too cold for this.

Fiery, like jasmine liqueur. A fancy woman would use it. A feminine night scent.😋

This has lasted on me for 5 hours so far, and I have dry skin. No lotion on. The projection isn’t that great. It seems to stay fairly close to the skin. As for the scent, I’m surprised at how indolic this is, and there is no sweetness that I can detect. Just a woody, almost naughty smelling jasmine scent. To compare, I have a travel spray of the Splendida version, and this one is more palatable. Splendida is a dry, woody, mature jasmine scent that I quite enjoy. This one is good, just seems a little lackluster. Splendida version has better projection too.

Smell is ok, but longevity is like 30 mins

It’s a no for me. I don’t say this often, but it gave me the “old lady” vibe. I got the woods, jasmine & licorice … very woody. While I’ll say it’s a very well blended perfume, it’s just giving ‘old lady at church chewing candy.’ … for something woody, sweet & more youthful, I like Amyris Femme. I was not looking for woody but something more creamy, vanilla, powdery … my mistake. Good thing sampled. Also, discontinued. Yeah, doesn’t feel right for the times. And I’m almost 37, so I can wear mature perfumes & judge them.

It was the perfume I first encountered when my father bought it for my mother in 2010. When I had the opportunity to buy perfume this year, I bought it and wanted to buy a second one when it was finished, but unfortunately its production has stopped. I think it is suitable for all seasons, but it suits the winter season especially. Its scent is not heady or heavy, even at first, and becomes more pleasant as it spreads. As someone who loves jasmine scents, I say that although it is not as beautiful as Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, I think it is a perfume worth the money.
