I really wanted to love this since I heard good things and love cinnamon, but I just couldn't. It doesn't smell anything like apple pie and I was shocked to see people comparing the two. On my skin it just smells like straight black licorice. Very linear, the only thing that changed was the cognac stops slapping you in the face after a few minutes. Very sad I couldn't convince myself to enjoy it since the notes sound so promising and I like the bottle. It's by no means an offense fragrance, though. I can see the appeal, I think my skin just hates me.
A delicious, warm, spiced apple pie. A very masterfully done blend; not so much that the notes lose their individual definition, but just enough for the smoothness to give way to something more whilst retaining its depth. I can also comfortably say that it is THE most addictive fragrance I've tried. On my skin, it smells so amazingly edible that I can't help but keep bringing my arm up to sniff it any chance I get. Honestly, I get the urge to do it so often that it starts to feel a little demeaning. One of those fragrances I would recommend everyone to try at least once. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 8/10
POV: you are a 48 year old hairdresser with a drinking problem. Your parents die and you inherit a bit of cash. Naturally, you schedule your breast enlargement for the week prior to the funeral. You quit your job and b-line it to the Rolex boutique to pick up your new datejust. In the mall, you ask the sales associate which perfume is the best. They hand you Angel’s share and you unload 10 sprays all over your body. The sickening syrup and liquor notes are perfect, you have found your new signature scent. Subjective score: 6.5/10
It smells like sitting by the fireplace at Christmas. I go feral over this perfume.
Fucking repulsive, God this was so gross
got told i smelt like a candle. how about fuck you this is peak and you just dont understand. im not the problem
I can always pick it out because of how disgustingly sweet and heavy it is. Smells like diner syrup and wine vomit. Repugnant.
This is a masterpiece. A true 10/10. One of the best scents ever created.
What the mom in Home Alone 2 (New York) must have worn. Angels' Share is an amazing Christmas scent of softly baked, perfectly brown dough sprinkled with cinnamon and something else that you cannot quite catch. It is the winter evening after you've had a few shots and are heading out of the bar, stepping through the crisp snow that is perfect for kids making snowmen, and you become a bit overwhelmed by the amount of compliments and warm hellos you're getting.
Why is this so hyped either smells like very loud cognac or very loud sharp apple pie with cinnamon
does NOT smell like lataffa khamrah. this is straight up cinnamon apples in a thick maple syrup. so overhyped. i think people are pretending to like this because it's different. it's a boring fragrance. buy it if you want to smell like my microwaved apple covered in cinnamon i suppose.
Not much to say that hasn't been said. My partners endlessly compliment the scent when I wear it, it sits on my skin perfectly, and the projection is exactly how I'd want it to be. I'll be getting another bottle just to have on hand years from now when my first inevitably runs out.
a cognac cinnamon vanilla. im obsessed. every sephora i walk into, i sniff it nd moan a little cuz she's so gorg. very strong, v sophisticated, and def not a daily. good for a nice evening out if you want ppl to smell you. it's been a compliment-getter or an insult magnet for me; there's no in between LMFAO
This was gifter to me for xmas , 3 years ago, so I inmediatly associate it with the season. I adore it. It's one of my most non linear scents, and I can clearly tell appart 3 different stages: Upon initial spray, and for the 30 first minutes, I mostly get the cognac, and there's almost something apple-y next to it, and a bit of cinnamon. After that fades, it's all cinnamon. To me, for the longest time (from 30 mins to 5 hours) it smells like the mix of cinnamon filling and buns baking in the oven. Spiced, sweet and hot. And upon the 6th hour, the cinnamon goes down and what's left is this gorgeous praline; to me it smells like smelling the insde of a very expensive chocolates box
I feel like I have a cinnabon in front of me with a boozy caramel glaze. As it dries, it's less gourmand and more woody. I have been waiting for Ambre Narguile to be in stock for what seems like forever, and will keep waiting because this isn't quite what I was looking for.
A quick update on my previous post: after two hours, this smelled identical to Lattafa Khamrah. On me, the notes I liked disappeared, and I ended up with a scent that was more or less identical to Lattafa Khamrah. It performed so poorly for me that I had to wash it off immediately, so this came as a negative surprise. Now I’m glad I ordered PDM Althaïr. As always, it’s important to let the perfume develop; you never quite know how it will work on each of us. Ultimately, this wasn't the perfume for me
Definitely pick up on that apple pie that others are mentioning. It’s like apple pie with a dash of cognac, the scent is definitely boozy gourmand. I don’t mind it but I would not buy another sample. It’s just very ok in my books. Boozy gourmand probably best suited for dates and nights out. Just not for me, it lacks an animalistic rawness I like to fragrances. 3/5 and on the mid shelf. T, out.
Smells like a cognac cellar. There is a tiny bit a sugar and cinnamon but the Tonka bean dominates it. Very unique fragrance and for evening or cold weather.
To me every Kilian perfume is like a piece of jewelry/clothing that elevates your style and aura when you wear it; angel's share belongs to the fine jewelry category
I finally got to test this one; I’m looking for a winter fragrance, and it came down to a choice between this and PDM Althaïr. This one was excellent—it smells like top-tier quality. I agree with those who say it smells like apple pie. A lovely fragrance. To my nose, however, it suits a more mature man. Since PDM Althaïr is sweeter and, in my opinion, a bit more youthful (my goodness, it’s good), I ended up ordering that one for the winter. Nothing bad to say about this fragrance; it is definitely worth trying out. Whilte writing this post i am sniffing my wrist its REALLY good. I give it a 9 out of 10. It’s almost perfect, though there is something about it that doesn't quite work for me or give med feelling that its not the right perfume for me. ( Could be the Cognac never testet a parfyme with cognac before) We’re all different and have our own opinions, and fragrances work differently on each of us—give it a try and see what you think. This could the best perfume you have smelled.
Boozy. Cinnamony. Sweet in an intoxicating way. Reminds me of a sophisticated woman. The dry down is very tonka bean forward, which is a note I dislike. It kinda smells like venturing down into a sweet cellar of cognac. Very deep dark, earthy smell. Not my thing, but I would never say it smells bad. Perhaps a bit cloying. Spray lightly.
I swear royal blend better than this
@Eos1977 Wow, just finished reading some of your other perfume "reviews". Your misogynistic and racist (derogatory remarks towards travelling/romany people) comments are vile. You should be banned from here
Jessica lucked into some cash from her late uncle. Total miracle. Before that, her life was just a sad cycle of running out of welfare money halfway through the month. But whatever—she scores the dead uncle's dough. And what’s her very first move? She bolts straight to the fragrance counter to blow it on this sweet piece of trash. Next up on her checklist: a boob job, a BBL, and kicking down the doors at Burberry to buy absolutely everything in plaid. Gotta look classy, darlings. That’s the exact vibe this scent gives off.
I don't really like this fragrance I think the apple pie smell is not that good but if you like the smell of apple pie you will really like this fragrance
Instantaneously nauseated upon smelling this. I don’t know why; I should love everything about it…Vanilla, Tonka bean, apple pie…instead I just sniffed and it went right to my tummy in a bad way. Clearly I am wrong since everyone else loves it but just know it’s a possibility…
It smells very similar to Khamrah Lattafa to me. However, this Angels' Share by Kilian perfume is blended better. On my skin, I smell lovely orange peel, with stronger cognac, apple and spice notes. The masterpiece of this perfume is the opening of sweet orange peel, with the boozy, spicy notes instantly blended perfectly. This perfume reminded me of the wonderful discontinued Fendi Theorema with Christmas orange, spicy & brandy notes. In contrast, Khamrah Lattafa is a softer, stronger baked apple pie smell, with date sweetness and vanilla. But Khamrah does not have the lovely orange peel in the Kilian notes. Khamrah lasts long on my skin and clothes. The projection of both perfumes is good. However, Angels' Share becomes a soft skin scent after 30 mins. I wish it projected more like an arm's length for the price. It only lasts 6 hrs on my skin and 24 hrs on clothes. Khamrah lasts over 12 hrs on my skin and 24 hrs on clothes. Khamrah Lattafa highlights the sweeter apple, spice, vanilla and boozy elements. Killian Angels Share is luxurious, more boozy and with the added orange peel notes (not listed) on my skin. While the quality ingredients are appreciated, what is disappointing is that Angels' Share becomes a skin scent quickly on me. This perfume is insanely expensive for me. I can get a good dupe with Khamrah Lattafa. I think a vintage Fendi Theorema is just as good, if not better. Both alternatives are reasonably priced compared to Angels' Share. I cannot justify this crazy cost. Also, Angels' Share has similar sweet, vanilla-spicy notes to YSL Black Opium Extreme/Le Parfum or YSL Black Opium EDP Intense (Blue) bottles without the coffee notes. While Angels' Share is an excellent perfume, there are also some amazing dupes to try as well.
Warm and boozy apple pie, with extra spice. How this scent dominates the Fragrantica search bar and Tiktok eludes me. Completely. I understand people say we are in a gourmand era, but why does this one get all the attention? From a personal standpoint, I'll never understand why you want to smell like this. I'd recommend this to servers at upscale comfort restaurants who want to be able to upsell their house-made desserts (A boozy, refined dessert smell is perfect for a server!), and nobody else.
The best winter date night fragrance of all time. This will have you craving apple pie for dessert, whilst your date will be craving you for dessert. 10/10 - Peak gourmand, it doesn't really get much better than this.
Lissshhhen... I ain't got a drinkin' problem. I got a livin' in the attic problem. Big difference. So one day my sister says we're havin' company over. "Rick," she says, "please... just stay upstairs." I told her I would. I meant to. But then I remembered I'd left my whiskey downstairs... an' a man can't be expected to survive in an attic on principle alone. So I come stumblin' down the stairs wearin' my nicest flannel an' two sprays o' Angels' Share, figurin' I'd smell sophisticated. Soon as I walked into the room, the whole house went quiet. One lady whispered, "Is... is he okay?" Then this kid, couldn't have been older'n ten, goes, "Why's he smell like whiskey... dusty insulation... an' pee?" Pee? Son, that's heritage. You can't bottle history without gettin' a little history in the bottle. I tried explainin' it's got cinnamon, vanilla, oak... all them fancy notes. Luxury! Costs more'n my monthly snack budget! Didn't matter. My sister started apologizin' to everybody, my brother cracked open every window in the house, an' somebody quietly moved the car keys outta my reach. I still think Angels' Share smells fantastic. My family just seems convinced it smells exactly like a drunk uncle who's been fermentin' in an attic fer fifteen years. Now if y'all'll excuse me... them raccoons found my poker chips again, an' I ain't lettin' 'em win three nights in a row.
