This is a salty, musky iris masterpiece. I can't imagine why it was discontinued. It's a cold fragrance, but still intimate and elegant. I realize that there's no shortage of similar perfume profiles on the market and we can probably find substitutes. But not among the typical salty-sweet compositions. I see that some people find vanilla and gourmand notes in Reveal, but I find none. The iris is refined and not at all powdery.

Delicious. I generally have issue with salt and pepper in fragrances. This is comforting and very easy to wear. (I have a rollerball so it may be a different experience from spraying this all over.) An addictive sniff! On me, this plays along the same lines as Casmir in terms of the salt/spice/sweet/creaminess, but it's more airy and modern. This is very gourmand to me, and exactly what I prefer a gourmand to smell like: a hint of edible but retaining the purpose of smelling like a real perfume. Dries to a pillowy iris cashmeran musk scent. Nothing is aggressive in this composition, start to finish. Preferred for hot weather, but look forward to testing in cooler. Could be a real love. Of course this has been discontinued...

This is quite a sophisticated perfume. I find it unisex, a peppery musk. It's not my favorite profile, but I can appreciate the artistry and I would say it is signature-worthy. It goes through some evolutions, sometimes a skin musk, sometimes more beachy sunscreeny.

Initially, for the first minute after applying this, I don't care for the opening. It's extremely salty, peppery and very sharp. Once, quite literally, only a few mere minutes pass, this scent is absolutely gorgeous. The salt and pepper mixes with my own skin chemistry which normally brings out darker notes, and thus the inevitable wood and musk blooms, creating a seductive, mysterious scent. The iris and cashmere are also very prominent on my skin. I find Reveal very elegant, and almost standoffish, aloof even. It's as though a beautiful woman enters a room. Everyone is enraptured by her presence, desiring to know more about her, and yet no one can read the emotion hidden behind her eyes. Is she self-possessed? Unhappy? She keeps her distance from everyone, despite the apparent interest that seeps the room. She seems to be a puzzle no one can solve, a stranger nobody knows. However, once you get to know her, she's one of the loveliest people you will ever meet. That's Reveal's very essence. It's elegant, enigmatic, intriguing, and despite the mystery and aloofness of its initial notes, you will keep wanting to know more about them and constantly smell yourself, trying to figure out what it is that makes this scent so phenomenal. At first smell (or glance), don't be put off. And yes, it is an absolute loss to the perfumery world that this is discontinued.

Wow! I really like this! I have to admit, I really enjoy almost every Calvin Klein fragrance I’ve put my nose on! In my 20s, CK scents were probably the most popular on the market. I’m surprised that they haven’t retained their popularity. They really do a phenomenal job. This is sadly discontinued, but you can find it on reseller websites and I was lucky to get my hands on a bottle. I knew instantly I liked it! I don’t find the top notes overly peppery, even though there are three different pepper notes! I get a little bit of the salt but I love it and reminds me of the smell of the ocean where I lived for many years. I don’t get a strong iris, it’s nice and subtle and well blended. Then the vetiver, cashmeran, and sandalwood come in. It’s so beautiful! It smells like pure class and elegance but in a very casual relaxed way. I’m so glad I purchased this. I wasn’t sure about picking it up after a heard a review on YouTube, and the content creator didn’t care for it. I took a chance, being aware I often like fragrances that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Just goes to show you how everyone has different tastes and chemistry and sometimes you have to take a chance!

this is what i call my 'sexy french fry' perfume, because the sweet-salty skin scent reminds me of freshly salted crispy fries right out of the fryer. not to say that this smells like actual potatoes and oil, but it's so warm and soft and SALTY it really does feel like you're a sexy french fry when you put it on. i thought it was too sweet smelling when i first got it, but it grew on me, the musk makes it smell like skin but better. definitely a warm weather scent. i got this in a 10ml rollerball so it unfortunately doesn't project much, but i love to put it on my wrist and sniff my skin throughout the day

This is truly one of those colossi of the perfumestry world, with its truly hefty musk & salt ... but very stark & rather unusual (or 'distinguished', it might be more appropriate to say (ImO it definitely is more appropriate)): I do understand why some report a very adverse reaction to it ... but I'm certainly not one of'em, though!

This makes me sick to my stomach. I smell incense though it's not listed. Never works for me. I fell for the reviews. And I do like the top notes. But now scrubbing it off. Bought it cheap. I'm learning to avoid ambergris and cashmeran.

Yet another masterpiece from Calvin Klein’s archives lost to discontinuation. This isn't your typical sugary gourmand; it's a refined blend of salty, woody, and vanillic notes. With its impressive longevity and rich profile, it was easily signature-scent material. A genuine loss for the fragrance world.

Seawater dried on warm sun-kissed skin with a sweetness to it

delicious, a seaside cliff walk near the woods on a sunny day. comforting and a bit sexy, but mostly cozy

I bought a bottle of REVEAL the year of release and hardly used it, though I am a fan of the scent. It's very salty and woody, very vanillic. Easily unisex. Lasts all day, though doesn't project all that much. It's rich, dense and close to the skin.

Анонім

So beautiful. It's a more elegant, sweet version of CK2. It smells exactly like Mixa gel-cream hyalurogel. A fresh, sweet, floral, gentle, Spring scent. Nothing can beat Calvin Kleins freshness in perfume. I do think that if you have CK2, there is no reason to buy Reveal, and vice versa. Truly universal, very blind buy safe, unisex. Something you'd wear on a sunny, flowery morning and sit on your front porch sipping a cold drink.

I found it on some outlet site. It smells like.. nothing.

Got 100ml bottle on offer off eBay and I couldn’t refuse. This is a gorgeous fragrance and have to say it’s a favourite from Calvin Klein. Would wear all year round.

It's honestly a tragedy how this was discontinued, this is such a hidden gem! Very salty and peppery, but quickly morphs into a salty & marine floral wrapped in soft cashmeran. By far my favorite beachy floral, quite similar to Salty Flower by V&R(also unfortunately discontinued 😔)

No resellers in Europe. A shame!

The magic of the night air by the sea in a summer evening. Beautiful scent, original, sadly discontinued. "Ode to dullness" seems similar but I would love it if they would just bring "Reveal" back...

It’s now available on FragranceNet.com 🥳

I was given this and wasn’t expecting much but it is delicious! It’s peppery, warm, salty…not my typical scent choice but I’ve really enjoyed wearing it. I’m sad it’s been discontinued, as I think it would have been great to layer with some of my other fragrances.

Love of my life…. If anyone is selling lotion and perfume or just the perfume, anything, contact me on IG @reves_de_bleu as I’m not here often.

Got this for my sister cause she was a massive fan of Bvlgari Aqva Divina and I saw that this is somewhat similar to that on the "reminds me" but this and that don't smell alike at all atleast to me anyway. This is salty, oceanic, peppery and musky. Definitely not your usually suspect of scent profile. Performance is on the lower side for both projection and longevity. Overall, I think this would be a good beach day scent.

Aaaah, hello again, My Love. I have adored this fragrance since it's launch. I remember testing it in the store back then, and later that day folding laundry, I kept getting whiffs of beautiful hot salty skin...I realized it was this and I went back and got a bottle the next day. I used it all up back then and never got any more, it has been sadly discontinued. Last week I was missing this scent so much so I found an authentic old bottle from the release time and it just came in the mail this week. My eyes rolled back...in sweet memories of this perfume. It really was created before it's time. It has the same spicy complexity of Nishane Ani, just without the vanilla. It's so complex and delicious. Salt and pepper on the beach. I'd say it's unisex. I am over the moooooooooon I have this in my collection again 10 years after my first love affair with it lol. There's still some bottles floating around out there. Get one close to the original production year and thank me later. ❤️

This starts off super unique and complex but disappointingly dries or may i say dies down to a simpler acceptable scent. I totally get the “hot and fresh french fries” claim on the initial spray but in a good perfume-y way. This starts pleasantly peppery and not spicy which makes it less punchy compared to some peppers in other frags. It’s also really briny (not fishy) and has a balmy, pasty, waxy, and candle-like qualities. After which, it develops to something more feminine and sensual. The iris is super lipstick-y, sweet, creamy, and quite dry bc of the vetiver. Annnddd there goes the usual aquatic-floral dry down that reminds me of BBW Pink Cashmere, Mugler Womanity, and D&G Light Blue… well, I don’t think it’s THAT bad but it’s kind of a bummer that it has to end that way. I wish it stayed complex from start to finish because it’s super anticlimactic. Please, do remember that our noses work differently bc people are gonna assess ur scent differently compared to ur own perception. My friend told me I smelled like a dom top when I was wearing this and my other friend told me I smelled sexy and reminded him of how pheromones work. I was hella confused because this smelled like a light summery fragrance to me ??? 😭 but ok that’s the magic of fragrances 🤷 I love how this fragrance doesn’t smell ultimately basic (well, except for the drydown), performs reallllyyy good, and has a niche-like quality which is impressive for an affordable fragrance; however, it’s sadly discontinued :(

****EDIT: Sadly, I must sell/trade as I have developed some new sensitivities to some of the compounds used in the fragrance. I've messaged a few who may be interested. Feel free to connect with me here if you're interested in acquiring. BTW, I'm in Canada so shipping of course is easily done but would be at buyers expense**** Some perfumes are about the fragrance and others about the mood/vibe - IMO Reveal is most def of the later. For example I can wear a perfume with good longevity and sillage and throughout the day I'll be reminded, "oooh, that yummy LOTV is me". On a grey day with a cool, breezy start with little promise of sunshine despite it being mid-July - I'll can pull on an extra sweater, along with several spritz of Reveal and comfort myself with cozy until the sun decides to show. With only the merest hint of iris behind all that salty wood this perfume is all about the cozy vibes. Fortunately for this Pisces woman, my skin loves a dry salt and most especially ambergris so within a few hours it does really settle into smelling very much like my natural body fragrance. Most def a like for me.

I’ve reviewed this before but I love it so much and now that I’m deeper into my fragrance journey I have more to say. I really think Reveal was ahead of its time and if some niche fragrance house started selling it today it would be beloved (and not discontinued). In fact it came out just a few years before another peppery, woody iris fragrance skyrocketed to cult status, Glossier You. Reveal is the OG skin scent for me. But if You is the ultimate Clean Girl- youthful, polished, fresh out of the shower- Reveal is her decidedly pre-shower older sister. Her hair is tousled, her makeup might be smudged, her skin warm and a little salty from a night of dancing or a day at the beach or maybe even a roll in the hay. She’s Holly Golightly, effortlessly beautiful but not too neat. Reveal is a messy French twist and an oversized sweater snagged from an ex-boyfriend, an apartment full of thrifted art, stacks of books, empty coffee cops left around. Reveal is sexy, warm, and I swear there’s some vanilla here, even though it’s not listed. It’s unique but still so easy to wear and super versatile in terms of when and where it can be worn. I’ve stocked up but if Calvin Klein is listening, please start remaking this. I promise this time around we’ll appreciate Reveal the way it should have been all along.

Grabbed a 15ml of this and immediately went searching for a 100ml - a size I know I’ll never run out of. It’s a sad shame this has been discontinued. For me, someone who hates coconut and solar notes, this is a perfect perfume for summer. In true CK fashion, the otherwise scary notes listed above are done in such a way that nothing overtakes the scent. A dry, warm and soft sandalwood is the star, lovingly enveloped in sunshine consisting of the perfect amounts of all the other notes here. They captured the vision for this scent perfectly… sun warmed skin on a yacht at sea. No traces of sunscreen. I adore this.

I was given a bottle of Reveal EDP from someone who didn't like it. That worked out well for me. If salt and peppered fresh hot French fries could be a perfume, Reveal is that. I mean that in a very good way. I love it. Although discontinued, I was able to get a backup bottle from eBay.
