Essencial Oud

Absolutely no niche or Arab creation can beat this one! Created in 2017, when there wasn't such an all over fuss over woody fragrances, this one was timelessly crafted. It has the perfect balance between fruity, flowery, spicy, sweet, creamy, spicy and woody accords, just like a symphony. This is the quintessential woody, Arabian inspired fragrance. The best! Everyone out there should smell this, and then see if they can get a better smell. Seriously. It's lightyears ahead of most woody Arab and niche fragrances. I feel empowered and elegant wearing it, and I always get compliments. It radiates for meters, and even after it's settled, it leaves the best scent trail. It lasts over 12 hours on my skin, and forever on clothes. I cannot sing its praises enough. Beautifully crafted, and seriously underrated.

Envolvente, quente e misterioso. Extremamente Oud nos primeiros minutos, depois, em minha pele evolui para as diversificadas notas de madeira da base com um abaunilhado. Há quem diga que ele é compartilhavel. Eu não acho, na verdade o acho bem feminino, algo bem sensual, beirando o afrodisíaco. Sua projeção é de metros e sua fixação ultrapassa 10 horas.

I could be wearing YSL, Dior, Chanel...you name it and THIS ONE will receive the most compliments. People just love this perfume and it has an outstanding quality, possibly the best of Natura. It's perfectly balanced, long lasting...the sillage is properly strong and you can feel the oud and yet it's not overwhelming but sweet. It's also cheap so 10/10.

As a Natura lover, this is my favorite perfume of all times. I read some reviews that with the bottle redesign the fragrance had changed a little bit, I was lucky enough to find a bottle from previous design. Every time I wear this it’s my most complimented fragrance from both men and women, it pairs excellently with my skin. At first I get a lot of the apricot and fruits, balanced out by the pink pepper. Then the rose comes out, very balsamic and alluring, with just a hint of sweetness. The base is just marvelous, I’ve smelled several oud fragrances because it’s a note I love, and in this perfume the oud is perfectly achieved and balanced in the woody, soft base. It’s seductive yet elegant, it elevates you. I get incredible projection and silage, I can even smell it in clothes months after. Edit: I was recently chased by a girl in a bar to ask me what perfume I was wearing jaja in her words I smelled powerful

Very nice fragrance, probably the most "classic" smelling of all of the Essencial Oud female line. What I get is essential a fresh-dark, slightly fruity, slightly sweet, slightly woody scent, with an almost shampoo-like bright soapy jasmine+rose through line. It smells great, and is my girlfriend's personal favorite of the Ouds, and it does indeed smell delicious on her. However, it doesn't really have anything approximating oud in it. I would have liked a little bit of that medicinal, clean, chocolatey oud that's used in the male Oud and Oud Pimenta; I think it would have given even more depth and sexiness to the scent, and would have lived up to the name. Still, I can't say that I don't like the scent, it is lovely, but far less original than the other fragrances in this line. Could be an excellent signature daily driver as I think it has enough freshness to suit warmer weather. However, I think there are better female fragrances from Natura, particularly the amazing Ekos Alma. 7/10

I would say the sillage is between moderate and strong, as your body heats up it radiates more and more... you can definitely smell it when you pass by someone wearing it. It's quite long-lasting as well. I absolutely love this smell, it's woody, yet fruity but not overly sweet. an oriental daydream! Very seductive and keeps you wanting to smell more and more of it. Very balanced and inviting. Smells very high-quality and well-blended, the notes really complement each other creating an evolving, sensual fragrance.

This perfume is warm and cozy, delicious to smell! I've read other reviews where they mention that it smells familiar and that is also what I love about it. It brings comfort to me and is also elegant. The fruity notes with the woody notes are well blended, hence its "softness". Yet it is long lasting with good sillage. The rose and jasmine soften the pepper and woody notes, the vanilla gives it depth, the dried fruits lighten it, and the praline enhances the sweetness. This is so delicious! This is not a sharp, pungent Oud. Rather, it’s sweet and inviting. 10/10.

Admittedly I'm a root Oud guy, really worth it, because before there was Oud in fragrances around here, in Brazil, since I was a boy my family, because of our descent, used the raw material as an ointment to anoint, perfume, treat and even heal. I speak of Oud in its most raw form, in a medicinal and caustic way... From this narrative I arrive at the Essencial Oud in its female version, as seen, the Oud note here starts from a recombination which incites several olfactory variants such as spicy exotic fruits, dense and buttery flowers, soaked sticks, wood submerged in hot oils and all this in constant motion. It is very noticeable how the fragrance acquires 'versatility' at each moment in which time passes, that is, at one time it is hot, at another it becomes an exuberant floral that intensifies in a bed of Oud and then a rounder variation of the proposal appears. So far, at least for my nostrils, this new combination of this aspect of Oud still needs to be acceptable to my nostrils, I haven't been able to understand/familiarize such a note in this interlocution which has everything to work out, however... Let's wait! Without a doubt it is a sensational fragrance, for the mildest days, although I tested it on warmer days and it dialogued well, bringing notes of dried roses, like a luxury soap that envelops the body for several hours, in the form of a tender embrace that tightens in a subtle way, but without ceasing to be striking and representative. Fixation even after a shower, and the feminine DNA of the Essencial family, remains here, even in the middle of the intriguing Oud wood. Love this. Intense sillage and even more intense longevity. Dense, balsamic, very woody scent. Not an expert on oud, but this definetly has a very pronounced mettalic woody accord. A lot of dried apricots too, specially at the opening, which creates a juicy-almost-licorous scent.

Este perfume me volvió loca. es un re perfume a un precio super barato. no se si es lo dulce mezclado con el oud o lo amanerado mezclado con las especias. no lo siento floral y eso me encanta. tiene también algo como de la tierra. I got crazy with this perfume is super cheap and amazing. I bought it by reading here reviews end etc. blind purchase. and it s a hit for me. love the oud with wood, don t get any floral which I love. earthy but gourmand. its a GEM. great job Natura.

Super sweet, slightly balsamic.

This is gorgeous. The first hour you get a sweet, creamy plum with a hint of pepper; enough spice to break any excessive sugar. Second hour, the creaminess, sweetness goes to the background and you get soft and cozy freshly cut wood. The copaiba is very present now, when you get hints of camphor-like scent. Sweet. AND woody. Great sillage, amazing longevity. 8/10

I just bought this perfume. It's super nice. But it reminded me to other perfumes I already tried. It's doesn't show the originality. I've never tried the agarwood but I can tell in this perfume it doesn't showñ

The Essencial OUD fragrance duo reached the Brazilian market in April 2018, after a few spoilers in social media, which left the most curious for news with eyes wide opened. The visual identity was kept and the bottle came in midnight blue, which received some criticism for not referring immediately to the woody nuances of the main star: OUD. But it is good to emphasize that this color is not uncommon in Arabian perfumery, with bottles that can even bring engraved stones. Contrary to what I mentioned in the review of the men's version, this time the lid does not displease and complements the look, thanks to the traditional translucent plastic shape, besides the golden neck, with the same paint of the internal spray, resulting in sophistication and better finishing. Essencial OUD Feminino was also built to convey the concept of luxury - through an ingredient that is no longer novelty but still retains its nobility status - and above all, sensuality. The company claims that it is the first intense woody perfume within the area of feminine fragrances. Regarding the composition, it has notes of pink pepper, black pepper and dried fruit complex (plum and apricot) in the head. In the body, the Essencial line pattern was maintained, always built with some type of floral bouquet (violets, jasmine, magnolia, roses, etc.). This time, notes of rose, absolute of jasmine and priprioca were used. Finally, following the creative concept, the base is woody and brings notes of sandalwood, cedar, copaiba, vanilla, and OUD essential oil. Essencial OUD Feminino is well made and does not disappoint in terms of quality. The most demanding women about products of national origin will be surprised. However, unlike the masculine scent, which met my expectations (and of many other Brazilians) on the subject, the female version frustrated me. Although the fragrance has woody nuances, I think that Natura lost a golden opportunity (pun intended, since OUD is considered "liquid gold" in perfumery, because of its high cost) in presenting to Brazilian women the style of perfumery used by women of the Middle East, region responsible for spreading the use of this ingredient in the world perfumery. And what an opportunity! The use of pure essential oils (attars) is so strong in these cultures that Arabian women apply drops of sandalwood, amber, roses or musk oils on their groins on their wedding night. The OUD is more focused on men, and the stronger and concentrated they are, the higher is the social position of the user. But it is also present in women's fragrances. Assuming that both fragrances were created by Verônica Kato and Pierre Guéros, perfumer of Symrise (specialist in the use of OUD), the impression I have is that there was a lot of cutting about what should be done, thinking only in the Brazilian market and in the latest releases. And the result, in my opinion, is a fragrance turned to the Western market, full of gourmand nuances and fear of making mistakes. In particular, I do not understand such a discrepancy, since it is no secret to anyone that Natura takes out products from the market in the blink of an eye if the sales volume is not positive. In other words, it was better if they have risked more, combining some Saudi resins in a fragrance never seen before around here. On my skin, Essencial OUD Feminino shows a fruity and sweet scent, with some woody nuances and high projection. I feel a lot of the fruity content, especially the black plum. The sweet side of the jasmine was explored to the maximum and the rose ended up becoming insignificant. After an hour of application, denser nuances arise and you can feel a woodier content. Still, vanilla dominates everything and my nose keeps trying to track the OUD's presence. I have already seen a lot of praise for this perfume, even with regard to the issue of sharing by both genres. On my skin, Essencial OUD Feminino proved to be a scent capable of deceiving and what I was able to achieve, as a result, was a fruity scent with nuances similar to those of caramel. Shareable? I do not see it that way. But it is worth remembering that perfume has no gender, so if you are a man, you like fragrances of this type and you are reading this review now, go for it! Unfortunately, Brazilian women who have heard about brands such as Montale or Amouage and have never had the opportunity to try one of their fragrances will continue not knowing how they smell, because this perfume - although very good - did not bring me anything other than what already exists in the market. Essencial OUD Feminino convinces as another perfume for the Essencial line, but can not keep up with the brilliance of the masculine version.

I have been reading about this perfume for a while. I have never tried it myself but just the notes and the reviews I have read so far, I believe I can safely blind buy. I found it on a few different sites (femino version) going for as much as 250. I just found a full bottle on amazon (brand new) for 58.00! I could not resist. I will update as soon as it arrives.
