I wish wish wish if the patchouli was much stronger this would be perfect The fatty waxy pollen lily note is taking over the whole scent and how the patchouli breaks and tone down the waxiness but sadly its only the initial spray I don’t like this scent so weird it has the same earthiness i get in dior addict 2014

For me, this is another unfortunate casualty of "a product category has adopted this scent architecture wholesale and it's all I can think of when I smell it". On the initial spray I am distinctly reminded of the scent Veet uses to try to mask the fact that you're about to be melting off your leg hair in a steamy bathroom. Then it mellows out, and that pretty clover note comes forward. The Calvin Klein house DNA also makes itself known, and it turns into "luxury spa/wellness product". If you told me this was a limited edition Rituals body spray, I would not be surprised and I would think it was charming.

Truth is probably my favorite CK perfume. It starts off uniquely green, in a dewy, chewy, mossy kind of way, almost veering into swampy, but diverted just in time by honeyed florals, barely-there blackberry, and slightly soapy musk. As it settles, there's the sensation of pollen being shaken from a heavily-laden bloom mixed with some dry vanilla and amber. Don't let the presence of patchouli scare you off...it's blended quietly into the background here. I find Truth unique and modern. It's definitely not your mama's bouquet-of-flowers-in-a-bottle. For me, I find it appropo of spring rain and summer heat. Longevity is amazing...9 hours later, after walking around in 90F heat half the day, it's still hanging around. Sillage is arm's length and no need to overspray. It's not beastly but def not a skin scent either. Worth a blind buy if you like green scents and honeyed, woody florals.

as Contradiction (1997), Truth (2000) ultimately wouldn't be a perfume for me. it was too Bamboo-ey and Green. yet it was a charming perfume and I was lured in by the fact that it was 'a Calvin Klein' and the beautifully formed Bottle with Cap. it totally belonged into the Calvin Klein Series Obsession 1985, Eternity 1988, Escape 1991, Contradiction 1997, Truth (2000). (Ck One totally not my cup of Tea !) of course predating Obsession you had the fragrance Calvin (1981) for men. but this Series from off Obsession had a kind of Uniqueness and Strong Identity. I didn't liked Escape. with Truth I had actually the same verdict as I have with Contradiction. and that verdict is done in 5 seconds. but also Truth I bought, even the perfume, which is arguably one of the most beautiful perfume bottles ever, more elongated as the Edp, and coming in a [Acryl] Sarcophagus. while Truth seemed even more watery and fresh and just with the whole Bamboo-thing (than Contradiction). nevertheless had the perfume more intensity. for Truth we have the same kind of Allure lying in its name, the perfume (revolutionary no matter what, certainly after her forebearers), and a priori the idiosyncratic bottle which was marvelous. the Perfume was fabulous and somehow possessed more denseness than the Edp. Clover, Vetiver, Patchouli, Lily, Peony, Sandelwood, Mimosa, Vanilla & Amber are all notes that rock my boat. then 'Silkwood Blossom & Bamboo' must have made this perfume more green than I would ever appreciate (xcept in the veritable perfume). but there was also this: 'Truth 2000 CK Set of 5 Perfume Oil [0.34oz10mL] Touchpoints: Sapling Lilac Vanilla Citrus Bamboo'. of which I do not only have images but which I actually acquired too. this is all due to the fabulous sexy marketing machine 'Calvin Klein' then was. they had lured me in to buy the Edp which in the end was too Bamboo & Green, but then the perfume: 'Truth Calvin Klein (2000) Parfum Extrait 0.5oz or 15mL'. and from this perfume I have actually kept the Flacon with [Acryl] Sarcophagus, something that I never have done. empty is empty. so in this Calvin Klein line-up I think the real outcast is the perfume which I love the most (along with Chanel Coco, Giorgio & Poison), Obsession. of which I also several times had the perfume.

Blind bought this because I really wanted a perfume that has a grass note in it. On receipt, when I opened it my first thought that it was a lot like Gucci Envy. Gucci Envy is one of my all-time favourites and unfortunately, discontinued. I went straight to Fragrantica to check if people think the same and they do! So happy with this purchase!

Finally found a bottle of this old love affair again. So nice. To me this is the love child of Gucci Envy and SJP Lovely Sheer.

This took a few times to get used to. This does have a vintage quality. However it is really enjoyable. This feels fresh but in a white linen dress going to a nice dinner kinda way. Or office appropriate as long as not overly sprayed. Feels slightly musky and fresh. Bamboo grass really comes out with a woodiness from Vetiver and Sandalwood.

Lovely atmospheric of a meadow. I'm really getting the clover blossom note. I am picturing a happy heeland coo in deep clover. Just what I was looking for. It fades so quickly though.

I am fed up with all perfumes nowdays -sweet,gourmand etc.I was searching for something unique and different,like the perfumes long ago.I remember for example in 2003 all perfumes were different from each other and was great Well Truth is different from nowadays perfumes.I love it It resembles very much Addict eau fraiche the light blue bottle which is long time gone and i miss dearly This is so so similar to it and i am very happy.Truth is fresh,but also,warm,long lasting,not at all retro,very sophisticated and easily can be a signature scent

Calming and elegant. Delicious now in spring but I can't wait to try it in summer. Wearing this is like laying on a clover lawn, pinned down by sunshine. Reminiscent of Guerlains Herba Fresca but with bamboo and clover instead of mint. This one passed me by until now, possibly because the bottle hints at young male rather than at all feminine. I'd say it's pretty gender neutral as it is but I'm tempted to try the version for men next. (More grass, eh? What's not to like.)

Oh nooooo... I get a lot of lily-of -the-valley, and not in a good way. In a dusty old lady way. This is floral, but it smells like the house of an old couple who overdo it a little with the bathroom spray. If you want a fresh nineties Calvin Klein vibe, I can wholeheartedly recommend you to try Calvin Klein women. This is not it.

Calvin Klein Truth is, by a huge margin, one of the most pleasant (literally) female floral fragrance I’ve ever smelled. It smells 1:1 like a bouquet of flowers. Minimally woody and minimally fruity—maximally floral, maximally pleasant. Just pleasent... There isn’t even the slightest hint of aggressiveness or any “in-your-face” attitude; instead, it’s very restrained and zen-like. It simply smells like a fresh bouquet—an authentically fresh bouquet, 1:1—natural. If you’re looking for the pure essence of florals and natural bouquet-type scents, you’re absolutely in the right place here. The nice thing about this fragrance is how extremely understated it is—it never feels heavy or overpowering in any way. It’s a women’s fragrance you can wear in even the most conservative and strict work environments. It won’t bother a soul, not even a little. A beautifully pleasant bouquet scent that couldn’t feel more European or classic. Sillage is subtle to moderate, and longevity is as well. It leans more 30+ and can absolutely be worn by a female CEO or a woman on a supervisory board—just as easily as by a secretary or a cleaner. It’s excellent for women who spend 100% of their day in customer-facing roles and want a fragrance that doesn’t stand out too much or disturb anyone. A great everyday scent, especially for the office. For evenings or date nights, though, it’s too “zen”—it doesn’t have enough power or seduction. It would be too much "office" or Yoga-studio.

This is one of the best green scents yet around. I loved it from launch and have it. Decades gone by, yet it remains relevant and unique. It's a burst of freshness, green of course, with a light woody backing. Citrus are muted, the floral more an air than a note. Absolutely beautiful. If you like green frags, try it.

Lovely fresh fragrance, like a juicy meadow emanating from my skin. Very bright, serene, sensual, simply beautiful. Sillage is ok, longevity could be better, but freshies are so nice to reapply I'm not even mad.

First thoughts. I think of Calvin Klein as a masculine brand so trying this is interesting. There are citrus notes but it is not just a citrus. There are floral notes but it not just a floral. The notes say it is an oriental woody fragrance. This is very different than anything I have in my floral heavy collection. Truth is clean, fresh and would be wearable even when Queensland’s humidity is at its worst.

Wow. This is the worst perfume I have ever smelled. In fact I'm 100% sure it is. It smells like every old lady Avon perfume put into one bottle. I have suffered the smell of this for an hour and it has not changed. I simply can't imagine anyone wanting to smell like this, it's not fresh, it's not woody, it smells like old dried flowers and musk. It smells like someone who shouldn't be buying green bananas anymore, and that's the nicest thing I can say about it. Ugh.

The perfect scent for a calming night or lounging. Although it wasn't the personality I'm after for a day perfume, this is very lovely. A true skin scent--there's no projection for me***. Clean. ***update: It does create a nice scent bubble when applied to warm skin (I have a roller) and I definitely prefer it for night. It's quiet and lulling. It makes me think of sleeping on a beach at night.

Gorgeous cheapie I decided to try based on a content creator on YouTube. I have to agree with her glowing review on this one. The only problem is, it has a pretty intimate sillage. I wish it was a bit better but since it’s so cheap, I’ll carry the bottle and reapply a few times and hope that helps! It may wear better on clothes so I will try that as well. I’d really like to smell this a bit more, it’s very pretty and elegant! Still worth the price for sure! I actually may pick up another one while it’s still available!

This is a secret favourite. When I'm - in autophagy - setting the scene for optimal health - the bergamot in this pairs with the cellular clean up of my body and - I'm in health mode. I sprayed once before teaching yoga even though that's not something I do. Scents are frowned upon generally. But this one - is like a spa in a bottle. This is what I reach for when I want to heal and relax and for all the benefits to go right to my mind and body. This is my secret magic potion. To me, this isn't really green. Maybe a little green but more than green, this is gold. That's what it smells like. Clean, nature, healing, spa, healthy gold. It smells - rich. It smells like green and gold. And the earth/water/trees/nature/sky/rain all mixed into one gorgeous scent. TRUTH!

This fragrance is not only a masterpiece and something quite different in this day and age, it's also become my signature scent, as a man, even though it's targeted at women. There is something so elegant, so transportative about this perfume. Warm seductive skin and the sound of trickling brooks through still verdant pastures come to mind whenever I wear it. Initially, I too also thought the longevity and sillage were garbage, but I was just plain wrong. In summer, 5 sprays have been lasting me all day and even as a skin scent when combined with my natural body odour it still emanates a kind of cleanliness you just can't shake off. I can't believe it's so cheap and statement making and available to all, yet men are wasting their paydays on the next AI churned out Rasasi Hawas Exotic Elixir Extreme Prive Absolu...etc etc.... Calvin Klein Truth will still be around for decades to come because this is no gimmick. This fragrance is pure art.

I simply don’f understand how I could overlook this perfume when it came out I bought it recently at the news of it being discontinued and I really think this is the only scent I need for summer. It’s a bit green, then a bit soapy, but definitly has its own character and it’s unique and original. Lov it, going to buy another 100ml bottle while I can

Upgrading my review of Truth from a Like to a Love after letting this sit for a while in a refrigerator drawer. Where once she was fleeting and slightly generic, now she is pure magic. It sounds odd to say about such a green perfume, but it reminds me of the general smell of Pier One in the early 1970s, that delicious smell of exotic woods, soaps, and spices. As a small child, I used to gravitate to the soap, essential oil, and incense aisles and inhale deeply; I also loved to huff the rosewood and sandalwood jewelry boxes and curio cabinets. I didn't have a wide fragrance vocabulary back then, but I loved all the Pier One smells, which gave me a sense of serenity and joy that eluded me during the TM classes in which my mom enrolled my foster sister and me. Ancient retail reveries notwithstanding, Truth seems to have benefited a lot from its mandatory time-out in cold storage. It's still far from what I would call strong, but the evanescent quality is part of its charm. Sometimes it reminds me ever so slightly of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, but without that rhubarb note that kind of bums me out. I have been trying to think of a good perfume to wear to a memorial service this weekend, a fragrance that isn't likely to sicken or offend or even register as a fragrance at all. Truth might qualify for that. It could easily be mistaken for a luxurious European lotion or soap. It also contains a distinct but discreet lily note, which will surely be in abundance. Earlier today I put on Calvin Klein Beauty, and now I'm amusing myself with "Beauty is truth, truth beauty" affirmations, wondering, not for the first time, if Keats was dead wrong about that equivalence. At any rate, Calvin Klein's Truth doesn't have much to do with his Beauty, although both come in elegantly austere bottles and have enjoyably pretentious names. Beauty isn't very slutty for such a jasmine-forward frag, but she's much more of a cishet girly-girl than Truth, which smells like clean spaciousness and quiet luxury, perhaps like that meditation-therapy room presided over by the beautiful ageless Indian staffer in the last season of The White Lotus, before the gunfire abruptly shifts the vibe. I also pick up on the mimosa, which is quite beautiful, though I wish it were stronger. Maybe it just can't compete with the lily and lemon. Or maybe it will come out more as the juice ages. I wasn't sure I knew what bamboo smelled like, but I definitely get the clover and a kind of milky, almost sandalwoody-figgy accord that I think is the bamboo. Bamboo is horrendously invasive where I live, but I wish I had taken the time to smell some before my neighbor got rid of his in favor of something more regionally appropriate. Update: Applied liberally, after a shower, it smells of lemon, freshly mown grass, and an amorphous haze of florals. Clean but also a little earthy. I hope I'm not noseblind to the musks because I don't think this is projecting much beyond the skin, but what if I'm wrong? Every so often, I think it has faded away, and I get a sharp chlorophyll blast, like green stems and young leaves. I wish I got more sandalwood, but perhaps it is a green sandalwood that blends in with the more herbaceous and milky bamboo accord.

Holy shit, this is weird and magical. When I first got it, I sprayed it in the air and thought it was just a generic perfume smell - I was devastated that I didnt detect any of the green notes I'd been hoping for. But I've put it on after a shower and it is something else entirely. On skin it IS clover - bruised leaves and open flowers - earthy, damp and perfectly executed. There is something powdery and musky in the background that I can't place, but that does make this deep and sensual. Those notes also keep this from being a freshie, however - it's strange that something so clover-y and grassy can be so far from what I would consider a green perfume. I've never encountered anything like this. 1,000 points for the trio of perfumers who cooked up this masterpiece.

this is interesting.. my first impression was that it smelled like laying face down on a clover lawn but now all i can smell is pesto sauce.

First of all, let’s talk about this sleek, modern but at the same time elegant bottle. I love the feeling when I hold it. The flat front, with the curved back, almost ergonomically made to fit your hand and your fingers around it. I had to have this perfume because I am a Morillas fan and what a gem this is! It is a zen, calming scent, a meditative scent that makes you feel at peace with the world (and yourself). It smells like flowers and flower stems, when you cut them, or when you open the plastic a bouquet comes wrapped in. If I didn’t know this was a Cavin Klein perfume, I would think it’s a scent from Issey Miyake. I’ve used the word “soapy” in many of my reviews bit this also, is a clean, fresh, out of the shower scent. Too bad that on my skin it doesn’t last as long as I would like to. Nevertheless, this is a somehow hidden gem that needs to be seen, touched and enjoyed.

OMG! This is such a modern yet stand-out fragrance. For me, this would be in the category of timeless because of its freshness and attention-grabbing properties. There is no powderyness--this is just a clean and fresh aroma. I detect the bamboo that adds to the fragrances intrigue. Nice, nice, and very nice as it sets on the skin! I love this green masterpiece!! Lifted my mood in three seconds and took me where I want to be forever. Yes, I'd definitely repurchase this. 01/10/2025 Gosh, I really love this in the evening. There's a gooey syrup quality to it that comes out in the evening. I don't mean sweet--I mean it lingers in the coolness of the evening air when I wear it. I think it's a magnificent potion.
