It's a sweet, floral perfume

A fragrance that truly lives up to its name… Rosendo Mateu created a fragrance that feels timeless; something that won’t feel outdated years from now, works well in almost any setting, is versatile, and carries his own signature style. Looking at his work, it’s hard not to wonder what else he might have created for his own brand. The opening greets you with a vibrant pink pepper. The citrus notes also give a nice support to this lightly spicy and lively opening. As it develops, a luminous rose and geranium start to appear over a powdery yet airy musk base. Don’t let the cotton candy note make you think this fragrance is overly sweet or sticky. It doesn’t feel sugary; it feels more like the soft side of cotton rather than cotton candy itself. It smooths out the sharper, slightly masculine cologne-like side of geranium and starts wrapping around it. This gives the fragrance a clean yet softly sweet appeal. As it moves into the dry down, it doesn’t lose its character and continues to maintain the balance it has shown from the beginning. While musk and sandalwood create a clean skin-like scent, patchouli and vanilla prevent it from becoming too clean, leaving behind a signature that stays in your mind even after it fades from your skin. Longevity on my skin was around 9 hours and the projection was quite strong. It works well in every season, but there is something especially beautiful about wearing it during spring. If you’re looking for a fragrance that works everywhere, feels like a signature scent, and stands out without becoming overwhelming, this is definitely one to try. I used to think there wasn’t a fragrance that could meet all my expectations… until this one.

This is a nostalgic fragrance for me. It reminds me of weddings and fancy nights out I attended with my mother as a child. It was her signature perfume, and she represented a mature kind of elegance and femininity to me. I find it a bit strong at first, with an obvious peppery note that fades after a while, leaving a musky, powdery, and mature scent that is only lightly sweet, but perfectly balanced for a fragrance of this kind. It feels confident and sexy, and is ideal for special occasions, but not for daily wear in my opinion.

I wore it as my signature for a loooong time, and recently I found a bottle tucked away in my closet (that’s what happens when you keep buying backups lol). For me—and on my skin—it’s really versatile. You can wear it anywhere, whether it’s a party or work, and it suits my city’s weather well—usually dry and mild. On me, I mostly get the pepper in the opening and musk in the drydown. There’s also a soft powdery feel throughout the whole wear. I don’t find it sweet or heavy. If I had to rank the accords based on how they perform on my skin, I’d put “sweet” in fourth place, right after “soft spicy.” I’m not sure if it’s just my bottle (it’s been stored sealed for a few years), but the performance feels light. It quickly turns into a more subtle scent—or maybe my nose just gets used to it, who knows. Anyway, I have a special fondness for it and will keep wearing it as long as my bottle lasts. Definitely worth trying!

I have the Maison Alhambra dupe of this and just purchased the OG. The MA one sat extremely lightly on me and was barely detectable so I’ve put it away to mature hoping that helps. In the meantime I purchased this. This one is also pretty undetectable, as in, it seems like I sprayed myself with water, and maybe put some baby powder on. I sprayed some more, and the results were the same. Perhaps I’m just anosmic but this is giving me almost nothing. It has a fairly complex note structure yet I can barely pick up any of them. Over time, I get a very faint rose. That’s it. I can’t recommend this scent for this reason. Even if you like a lighter fragrance, based on my experience, I would say this isn’t worth the price. Try it out if you like and see if your chemistry does something different. In my experience, I wouldn’t call this sexy in the least. More prudish in fact. It’s incredibly soft and reserved. It’s leaving me disappointed and wanting so much more.

Анонім★★★★★

I get soft powdery and light. After the dry down, I get more of the woody/musk. It’s just alright.

Very heavy on bergamot. Smells kind of green, and I certainly enjoy the dry down wayyy more than the initial spray. The initial spray is parfumey, strong and too crisp, but it changes completely and the dry down is smooth, cute, feminine and pink. Must be the cotton candy showing through. Mother and a daughter can both rock this fragrance. It's freshie that's like a chameleon- it can be mature and classy, yet it can also be young and free, depending on who wears it!

Oh my gosh this is insane Im not believing my nose Too unique wtf Weirdly addictive I do think it does smell better on 30+ cus it smells like weddings in the Middle East The special occasions version of 212 NYC Soo powdery but not the baby powder type In the opening i get a strong blast of CARDAMOM and PINK PEPPER with hints of cituses After 10 minutes it gets sweeter along with the floral bouquet of freesia gardenia lily and rose i do actually get a lot of freesia just like 212NYC with hues of cotton candy absolutely no vanilla or caramel its not a gourmand scent With softly noticeable clean soapy white musk and a powdery sandalwood in the base this is absolutely stunning When it dries down i start to get similarities to my beloved 212 NYC but this is a spicy sweeter version of the soapy bomb 212 NYC Pretty good projection honestly the 212 NYC one projects more but all of them projects just perfect A Super unique scent a huge ( not for everyone ) type of scents that i adore Im hypnotized by the uniqueness The scent:10/10 The projection:10/8 The price:10/9 Overall:10/9,5

I like the dry down but I have to give it an hour for the gasoline patchouli/woody smell to disappear, and only then do I get the powdery, sweet, sophisticated cotton candy which to me feels like an oxymoron, but it is not! 6/10.

So, I've been following the Microperfumes.com flash sales. And if you don't know, this is where they will offer a travel size on sale for a few hours, anywhere from $3.25-$9. I've been taking advantage of it to grow my collection. I've gotten to try some expensive ones that I never normally could have afforded, from Parfums de Marly, LV, Kilian, etc. I've also gotten to sample some classic, tried-and-true fragrances. This being one of them. And I have no idea how I feel about it. Reading the description is confusing: caramel & cotton candy with gardenia and sandalwood? Excuse me? How is that supposed to work? Initial smell...it truly is one of the most unique fragrances I've ever smelled. There's nothing else out there that it reminds me of. You do smell all those elements, and it has this old-school muskiness about it that reminds me of fragrances popular in the late 80s and 90s. It smells reminiscent of something my mother once wore when I was a little girl. I want to hate it, but I literally cannot. And it very much suits the colder weather.

Анонім★★★★★

This opens with sweet, floral pink pepper and citrus. Then, rosy, sweet florals, but not quite literal rose. Very sweet. The drydown is sweet, musky, woody, caramel. It's not very memorable. A bit synthetic smelling, but overall pleasant and, I guess, possibly sexy. I actually like it more than I did at first due to the drydown.

smells like a clean, rich teacher. it's ok, it's just not a *me* scent.

many reviews hate the bottle but i find the bottle design very clever and practical. i adore the scent on the other side, it is both soft and relaxing. nicely surrounds you when applied and that nice bubble stays with you at least 2 hours without a change. the phase of 212 sexy which i love most is the one right after the puff. after a few hours it becomes plain and dull to be honest but the first two hours it is very lovely and comforting. the scent itself is both caramely and vanillic and reminds me of a fluffy cake without icing. a cool but sympathic woman with a plain but chic dress. no extra ornaments, simply beautiful, effortlessly. maybe this is what makes this scent so adorable ...

Анонім★★★★★

That is also really Good beautiful flanker obviously not better than the original 212 NYC EDT but this one also pretty the opening is a pink Pepper nuke but i start to get similarity to the NYC one in the drydown with the littlest sweet scent i mean if 212 NYC is a everyday scent 212 Se$y is wonderful on special occasions 8.5/10

Smells identical to Johnson’s baby shampoo in my opinion and u am saying that in the best way possible! I smelled it on my friend and was looking for it for a while! Amazing, very feminine and soft

Анонім★★★★★

As a 212 nyc signature person… this has the littlest similarity to the nyc version but wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy more peppery like think of 212 nyc married elle ysl this is it pink pepper bomb with patchouli

Анонім★★★★★

A client of mine gifted me a sample of this and I think I'm in love. For a simple as it is, it's well executed. I'm really enjoying the sweetness balanced with the musks. On my skin, the florals are being pushed far and wide. The pink pepper and violet seem to be most prominent on my skin. I don't smell cotton candy which is a plus for me. I usual find that note to be juvenile and overdone in modern perfumery. As it begins to dry down there is a comforting element brought on by the woods. They have a calming affect on me. The base musks are a huge component of this fragrance. I also get slight hints of vanilla, but sandalwood sticks out the most. It's crisp, clean, edgy, and seductive, if not a bit dated, but I don't mind that at all. I think I will be purchasing this as I know it would be a dumb reach when I can't decide on what to wear. I feel like this would work for all seasons. This was a surprising find for me. Thanks Olivia! 👌✨️

Анонім★★★★★

Very woody, lots of patchouli. I wish this was slightly more sweet cause it smells a bit masculine on me and there's no sweetness behind to contrast the heavy woods. Sexy but heavy

Анонім★★★★★

I am sooooo disappointed! NEVER EVER blind buy this. Caramel? Vanilla? A sweet perfume? This is just a spicy perfume so masculine, I tried a spicy perfume from my bf with a cheap flowery scent and it smells exactly the same.. the worse part is even if I dont over spray it, it gives me a headache. MASCULINE MASCULINE

Анонім★★★★★

This smells like white diamonds to me except it has an amazing note when you first spray it that I love but can’t identify. Possibly cotton candy. I love the patchouli, it kind of reminds me of the patchouli in Coco mademoiselle. I think I had a friend wear this. I remember whenever we went out I would always think to myself “why is she wearing white diamonds to a bar? It smells like a grandma” but she was probably just wearing this because the dry down smells so similar to me.

Horrendous bottle

Анонім★★★★★

For the past 3 years, I have had a client come in for her annual appointment and each time, I asked her what she was wearing. FINALLY I wrote it down and bought some. It smells EXACTLY as the title would suggest. Everyone compliments me, telling me I smell luxurious. My mom complimented me from across the table, so it has decent throw. Also, her compliment came the day AFTER i wore it (it lingered on my cardigan). So longlasting, which means a little goes a long way and justifies the price.

Анонім★★★★★

complimented a girl wearing this today

Анонім★★★★★

Wtf is that bottle

Анонім★★★★★

Strongly dislike this one. Candy floss where?! Vanilla? Caramel?! All I got was peppery powder and musky florals. No sweetness, and if anything it leans masculine on me.

Back in the 2000's when I first smelled 212 Sexy I was thrilled. As a teenager my hobby was mostly to smell than buying. The market had withrawn this perfume for many years and suddenly in 2024 I found it and uploaded 1gb of all my memories and younger energy in my body. Perhaps this version is reminiscent of fragrances for men and that's what this is all about: It's sexy and unique, dfferent from many other fragrances claimed to be sexy or feminine. It's expressing exactly a creature in all facets, the ones in the past, the present and what's ahead. Powerfull, energetic, but also serious in a sexy way. These kind of scents are NOT only for men and femininity is not expressed only by flowers, fruits and powder. This creature has been there and done that, is beloved and all words are closed within this bottle! inspiration in words: "Your charm increases adrenaline. You are constantly on the move, on land, at sea, in the air. While there is alertness, with you everything flows more slowly, with quality and tortuous passion. There is a sparkle in your eyes that comes from all you've seen and experienced. You know what will happen before it even comes up. You don't open up much, because your expressions are screaming".

Ah 212 Sexy. I smelled it years ago on my friend, must have been 2005. It was very noticeable. I didn’t get my bottle till like 7/8 years ago. I still have it. It’s very 2000s, the sweetness is harsh, there is something a bit masculine about but it’s fun to wear! I do like it a lot and it gets compliments like no other, maybe it works well with my skin. I wouldn’t call it elegant but it is sexy, more suitable for colder weather, I’d be a bit much in hot weather I think

Анонім★★★★★

I used to love this and bought it on a whim as a nostalgia purchase… Turns out I don’t love it so much now. It’s a strong floral, powdery musk which is relatively sweet. There’s a lot of gardenia and pink pepper in there, which I don’t enjoy so much any more, but it’s definitely something a lot of people would love. It’s pretty well balanced and lasts a solid couple of hours on me. I’m sure this used to be stronger; I remember it screeching away for hours on end. Watch out for overspraying though: this is a definite headache generator in the wrong circumstances. Overall for me, I’m glad I bought my small bottle but it’s not something I’d rush to repurchase.
