Very nice. Has that animalic Chanel DNA, as well as beautiful white blossoms.

Purchased because I thought it was elegant. But with each successive wear, I liked it less and less until I finally made peace that this was not my Chanel. Decluttered and moved on.

I think it's pretty, and a nice blend, it has that fresh elegance to it, but it smells SO MUCH like a clearer or dish soap I can't imagine wearing it.

This is definitely what they spray around in Macys.

So I tried this one at Sephora a couple months ago after the lady working there recommended it for me based on my preferences. This one honestly reminded me a lot of Estee Lauder's Pleasures for some reason. Pleasures is a fragrance that I used to wear a lot 20 years ago so I'm very familiar with it. Gabrielle seems to have more depth and be slightly more heavy. It also has some notes that I'm just not quite sure about. By the time I finished wearing my sample of Gabrielle at the end of the day, I honestly just found myself wanting to wear Pleasures again... and I can find a bottle of that for significantly less than what this costs so, yeah.

Got this on a whim a few years ago and didn’t care for it much then. But now it’s just gorgeous. This is one of the ,out beautiful bright floral perfumes ever. For the untrained nose it might seem boring and generic because sure. There’s like a million clean florals out there. But there is something really high end and refreshing about this while also being deep and potent. It really is beautiful. Unique too, in its way. Loveeeee

This is a classy, grown up fragrance. Polished, easy to wear, and very feminine without being overly sweet. It feels especially suited to spring, light, sunny, and softly luminous. It sits in a similar space to J'adore, with that same refined, bouquet style femininity, but a bit more restrained. My feelings are mixed. Some days I love it, other days something does not quite click. There is a certain intensity to it, likely from the yellow florals. I suspect I would love it if they sat more in the background, though I do appreciate the sunny, radiant quality they bring. It is a like, not a true love. I do prefer it over Gabrielle Essence, which feels heavier to me. This one is more balanced and easier to wear. Overall: Elegant, feminine, and luminous, but not quite a full love.

To me, the smell is kind of Christmasy in an odd way it reminds me of poinsettias without really smelling like that, I do agree that it is pretty in offensive and very cute. However, I don’t really see this being a young girl’s perfume. I was gifted this because it smelled too old for the person who owned it despite them being years ahead of me, it’s classy upon further smelling. It’s a little bit boring and less festive than I originally remember, especially on dry down. It’s not really something I reached for because I just don’t think I would smell like this upon looking at me. You wouldn’t really assume I would smell this way. I don’t really remember the user who said this, but it does require a sort of setting to be worn and I wouldn’t really wear this on the regular on the daily during dinner during lunch unless I was dressed a specific way, this might be a good thing for some people, but this perfume wears you not the other way around and not in a strong way rather that it feels like if you could sniff a stereotype

This is a review for Gabrielle edp. Wonderful Chanel choice for winter/spring season. We'll blended white floral with emphasis on ylang ylang, citrus and soft musk notes. Like another reviewer mentioned trying this before and not giving much of thought, it was same experience in my case, where I did not find this impressionable before, then all of a sudden one day, just randomly became a great like and a must have. Edp version is more floral and musky. Silage is moderate, comfortable wear, when you want to feel flowery and happy :)

I worked a temporary gig at Chanel's New York PR office and my desk mate kept this on her desk and wore it. Similar to the glamorous tweed boy bags and matching coats and boots, it was a bit intoxicating. I consciously understood this deskmate to be a basic-midwestern type with simple style at best, but if you are seduced by Chanel against your better judgement, you get it. I like this perfume the way I like a Chanel flap bag. You can't deny it, but of course, it is typical CEO girlboss vibes, as others have pointed out. I like it, but I agree with everyone who says something feels off about wearing this to the grocery store. I don't mind wearing it to work because it's classy, but wearing it to a date can even feel too formal. While I understand this is lighter compared to other Chanel fragrances, calling this 'girlish' is a bit baffling to me. This is a classy, if boring, corporate woman's perfume.

I was surprised when I realised that I liked this scent. It was more similar to the perfumes I already own or want to purchase. I can smell the flowers and the fruits at the same time. Cute.

˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Gabrielle by Chanel has quickly turned from a fragrance I disconsidered to one I couldn't love more. The difference consisted in the way I tested it. The first time, on a blotter: soapy, screechy, uninteresting. The second time, on skin... It's safe to say that the first impression was not the correct one... If there's one thing I know about Chanel fragrances, is that you should never judge them based on the first minute upon spraying them. In this day and age, when we are so acquainted with modern syrupy-sweet fruity-florals (which, don't get me wrong, I love as well), we tend to categorize gems such as Chanel perfumes in the "old-lady" segment, which is not only an offensive way to disregard a fragrance and to mock a certain age group, but it's also ignorant to the diversity in which fragrance presents itself. There is a reason why this brand has so many perfumes that have not been discontinued over the years, so many perfumes that have kept their commercial success as well as their relevance in the fragrance community. It's because they are timeless. They don't follow a certain trend, but they are the ones which remain iconic as time goes by. Anyways... what I wanted to say when starting that paragraph was that you have to let the fragrance sit on your skin for just a bit before forming an opinion. It shines through only as it mixes with your skin chemistry and warms up with your body heat. That was the case with Gabrielle, which you have to understand, is not a fragrance meant to "blow you away". It's a fragrance meant to envelop you as the first day of spring does, with its relaxed elegance and effortless composure. The combination of citrus and florals is done to a T, and the signature Chanel DNA in the background shines through in possibly the most youthful and, dare I say, most modern way compared to other fragrances from the house. Gabrielle follows you throughout the day: shy and respectful, but not hesitating to brighten your mood when you least expect it. She LASTS, on clothes, and on skin. She makes her presence known, but doesn't beg for your attention. She's likeable, but not a people pleaser. And she is incredibly elegant, not in the way money screams, but in the way wealth whispers. Gabrielle is, in my opinion, a great way to start your Chanel journey. It surely has been for me. It's signature scent worthy, it's great for everyday, and it even receives compliments (talking from personal experience). You can't really go wrong with her, you just have to give her a chance. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀

has that signature 'chanel' undertone that all their perfumes have. i enjoy this because my dad got it for me for my birthday, and i wear it when i see him, which unfortunately isn't as often as i'd like. inoffensive and fresh, great for work or for a day out. brings back good memories

To my nose, the yellow floral is quite prominent, after about 3 hours or so it mellowed down into soft woody smell. I have to agree with a lot of these comments, it is a crowd pleaser, not offensive, and can be an everyday wear. I imagine this perfume to be the embodiment of a young adult who has her shit together, girl bossing her way through the corporate ladder. I wear this on the days where I need to feel a little confident but not in a bitchy in-your-face kinda way, just enough to get my ways without stepping on anyone's toes. Unfortunately it doesn't stay long on my skin, but I live in a hot and humid tropical climate so that could be a factor. 7.5/10 from me, not my favourite but I still enjoy it every now and then.

I've received this as a gift and I'm not sure why I haven't parted ways with it yet. It's an inoffensive, well-blended, fresh and pleasant perfume. It evokes spring for me, striking a balance between citrusy freshness and a fruity and flowery accord that isn't too sweet or cloying nor, well, overly interesting to be honest. Doesn't cause any fireworks or intrigue. Many people mentioned it belonging to a well put together woman, kinda CEO vibes, but to me it's more of a girly scent, something that maybe a teen would get as her first "grown up" perfume. The teen in my imagination does really well in school, has a pearl necklace for special occasions and doesn't swear. All that being said, I think we might judge Gabrielle a bit too harshly here: what she does, she does well. She's fresh, pleasant, inoffensive and pretty universal. She performs well, is office-friendly and really does evoke that put-together feel. Nobody will accuse you of choking up a room when wearing Gabrielle and I'm sure there are lots of people who genuinely love her. I may not be one of them and yet I seem to cling to my old bottle for some reason, despite it not fitting into my perfume tastes nor suiting my looks/overall vibe as a fragrance in general. Performance-wise it offers ca 4h longevity and intimate to moderate sillage on my skin.

I can wear this anytime and I feel sophisticated, classy, and confident. Sometimes I don’t want to punch people in the face with my perfume. I reach for this. Because I LOVE Chanel. And I want that hint of Chanel DNA without being loud about it. This is a daily for me.

Gabrielle; the most un Chanel like Chanel I've ever tried. Its not intrusive, it's polite, corporate even. I am getting yellow flowers and nice soap (someone else said expensive soap) and not much else after the first application (evening, cold day, under a jumper). My bottle came from an online auction so it's used; I don't detect any sandalwood or grapefruit; just yellow flowers. I'll see how it shapes up. At the moment, I'd say this is quite forgettable and ideal for not offending people at work. I feel like I've met someone who was well presented, classically pretty, but we didn't have any chemistry! When I met Chanel 19 I was transfixed by her green warmth; likewise with amber fruit and herby patchouli Mademoiselle and the lavender and citrus of Pour Monsieur. (also have love for Boy and Beige but can't afford them...). Gabrielle feels a bit 2 dimensional.

Probably my favourite Chanel perfume. I wear it for work-related events, and I love its sophistication.

This is soft and beautiful. All the notes I love like jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley, and orange blossom. Like literally I told the Chanel SA my favorite notes and he recommended this and hit a home run. It is pretty citrusy at initial spray but dries down into all the lovely sweet, white florals I love. My only complaint is that after a few hours it becomes more of a skin scent on me. I just doesnt last more than a few hours. But those first few hours are pure heaven. This is your rich aunty who is always dressed elegantly, its quiet luxury, its a crisp white button up with a pencil skirt and a structured handbag. I would consider this one of my signature scents but I just dont wear it often enough because it doesnt last very long. I love to layer this one with a vanilla scent to add some creaminess and extend the life of it.

Luxuary soap. Clean and classy, pleasant but a bit boring. For all occasions and any age :)

As someone who has worn and loved many Chanel fragrances over the years, I approached Gabrielle with high expectations. Chanel has a gift for creating perfumes that feel like complete worlds. They're deeply personal and impossible to replicate. Think No.19, Coco Mademoiselle, these fragrances don't play around. Gabrielle, in comparison, is pretty, a white floral with a soft radiance and the Chanel finesse. The blend is smooth, the transitions are graceful, and it has an elegant aura the house is known for, but something’s missing. It never quite reaches that level of distinctiveness that makes a Chanel fragrance what it is. It’s elegant, feminine, and absolutely wearable, but I found it didn’t leave an imprint on me. You won’t regret owning it, and there’s nothing technically “wrong” with it. Yet, next to Chanel’s strongest works, Gabrielle leans more toward the pleasant and less toward the unforgettable. I’m glad I spent time with it, but it’s not one I’ll come back to. It's the Chanel's crowd pleaser.

I disagree wholeheartedly with all the reviews saying this is a granny/mature scent. Gabrielle smells like your friend's older sister who just came back from a year abroad in France. It's certainly grown-up but in a classy, elegant way. I can understand why this is boring to some - it's a crowd-pleasing white floral but I think the sparkly Chanel DNA shines through and really elevates it. Gabrielle is a lovely work/uni-friendly fragrance for girls who wear a camel coat and ballet flats every day. Like a really pretty but kinda basic girl in the library lol x

A very pleasant, extremely elegant, almost squeaky-clean floral. Has that same classic Chanel DNA, but a little less sharp and more “palatable” for those who dislike no. 5 or Coco Mademoiselle. Sunny, poised, feminine. Reminds me of sipping a cappuccino on a sunny morning in the Port of Civitavecchia, hair kept out of face with brown-framed sunglasses. Would be great to wear to any elegant daytime occasion. Not a going-to-the-supermarket, casual fragrance at all. Chance Eau Fraiche or Eau Tendre would be better suited for casual moments.

Inoffensive grown up lady floral fragrance. Perfect for those days I wanna feel like a classy adult woman. A little girlier and more feminine than its contemporaries. I feel like the bottle is more special than the actual fragrance, gorgeous square of paper thin glass, couldn’t survive a tall drop but the juice makes wonderful sloshing sounds.
