I wanted to love this (hello pretty bottle!) but there is a note in this perfume that is seriously off-putting to me. Smells like rusty iron on cereal. The nuzzle of my bottle arrived broken so I will happily return this.

I'm coming from angel mugler as I've heard this was giving the same vibe and has patchouli, absolutely not in any way, in what world is this a gourmand, I smell citrus, heavy florals and a shit ton of amber, milk or vanilla where???? smells like a laundry detergent and wax

🖤 A Darkly Elegant Enigma 🖤 The First Impression: I grabbed the last bottle on the shelf as a blind buy, fully expecting a sweet, Scandal-esque gourmand bomb. My skin usually magnetizes and amplifies sugar notes, so I thought I knew exactly what I was getting. Instead, it gave me a complete plot twist. Given the rumors of a reformulation, Fragrantica couldn't have prepared me for this, there is zero obvious sweetness here. The Opening: It starts incredibly strong with a potent, hour-long wave of zesty citrus, faint florals, and a rich, creamy lactonic note. The Twist: Laced throughout is a fascinating metallic edge that gives it a timeless, vintage soul, reminiscent of a sophisticated perfume made way before 1980, in the best way possible. The Dry Down: As that intense opening finally subsides, it transforms into a powdery, carmine-hued, elegant coverage. It’s a beautiful paradox: strong yet subtle, quiet but completely nose-catching. The Performance & Vibe: For the price, the projection and strength are incredible, it easily passes for a much more expensive, high-end fragrance. While it shines as a nighttime scent, it makes a gorgeous daily signature if you lean into a darker, more mysterious, yet fiercely feminine aesthetic. The Verdict: Housed in an adorable bottle, this is absolutely a statement scent. It is not for lovers of soft, light, or airy perfumes. It is sophisticated, passionate, and subtly Gothic. Only a select few will truly understand how to wear a fragrance with a soul this dark and sharp, but on them, it’s unforgettable.

I got told to try this perfume out because I love Angel by Mugler. Safe to say this is nothing like Angel at all! I’m not sure if it’s just my skin or not but after wearing it for about 2-3 hours all I’m getting is a patchouli which I usually love but it smells like it’s coated in a really thick chalk. Smells like it’s trying really hard to be powdery and is just giving chalk dust… Kinda just a very meh perfume unfortunately 🫤

I have had this perfume for years, the liquid inside the bottle has changed the colour to green haha still the smell is somewhat the same: very opulent, strong, demands presence, spicy, gourmand, mysterious, for night out when you want to stand out, for mature ladies.it is not sweet to me but just dark and gourmand. Difficult to describe, better to try it out. For a price point worth having it.

What a big disappointment… smells like chaos

I found this perfume full and still in its box after rummaging my mother's bathroom closet. I showed it to her but she told me to keep it. This batch is from 2015, so it is no longer a beautiful pale blue color, but an amber-y tea like many pics posted on this website. Still pretty, and what a bottle! I actually dropped it on the hard bathroom floor but it is totally fine! Chopard's Wish opens up really confusing for me. If I was my child self, I would have absolutely hated this perfume. A vague sweet "fruity" flowery bomb, like the scent of acetone without the alcoholic sharpness. I can't tell what fruits are in here- sometimes something like synthetic strawberry pops up, or a fleeting "coconut," maybe a juicy pear? But it is also flowery and powdery. Like another comment on here, it reminds me of a vintage powder room or makeup from the past. What I enjoy is the middle notes- and wow, how I love the lactonic honey in this one. It is sooo cozy and warm, I could not stop sniffing my wrists. Some notes like the jasmine and osmanthus adds a tea-like vibe which reminds me of honey milk tea. Surprisingly, the patchouli isn't such a big deal to me here. It adds a slight grassiness but its not overpowering at all. I wish (get it? haha) I could skip right to the middle and base notes cause it would have been perfect for a sleep fragrance. I don't view myself wearing this in public very much but I appreciate having Wish in my collection.

I bought a mini of this perfume mainly for the bottle(5ml). Looks cheap and smells cheap as well.

I agree with some people, it does have some acetone smell when first sprayed but it disappears after 5 minutes and turns into something warm ,sweet (not in a childish way) and feminine. Haven't tested the longevity, gonna update here soon !

A satin ribbon of milk accord loosens itself into the air, lightly honeyed and faintly luminous. Soon it unfurls into a cloud of golden‑green and glittering mauve moths, as though the berries themselves had taken flight as jewel‑winged creatures. They flutter above an exuberant parterre of flowers: majestic orchids and coaxing honeysuckle, black locust and shy violets scattered among crystalline lily‑of‑the‑valley, powdery heliotrope and osmanthus, noble magnolias and insinuating jasmine. This riot of blooms is astonishing: sweet, airy, exotic, captivating, yet never cloying, never a burden on the senses. Their opulence is exquisitely synchronised, blended with an almost mischievous precision. It truly is a “Wish” worthy of a perfumer: to marshal so unorthodox an orchestra and have its music rise as an unquestioned little masterpiece. The toffee caramel is a particular delight, rendered so faithfully I almost taste it melt on my tongue. Vanilla drifts in as a powder-fine light, none of the heavy spiced syrup that has drenched so many perfumes of late; instead it is like gold flakes tossed idly into the air for the sheer pleasure of watching them fall. Yuzu darts through the composition like quicksilver demoiselles, scattering citrus glints, while pear lends fresh juiciness, laced with the faint tart blush of strawberry. This gourmand is unlike the others: delicious, rich, layered, yet never tipping to one extreme; it lays out all its flavours at once, bright and delightful, like a dessert trolley in miniature. Patchouli and incense spin a gauze-like veil, a trembling curtain of air, the perfect backdrop to all that frenzied fluttering above and among the blooms. Nothing grows heavy or overbearing; everything is ornate, playful, a little whimsical. “Wish” would sit perfectly at home in Madame de Pompadour’s boudoir, glimmering among frivolous bows and cushions, garlands of flowers and intricate lace. It is hard to believe that all this was so carefully conceived, a woman’s genius and patience arranging each puzzle piece into a seamless, flowing expression of her life, her pleasures, her passions and obligations. One can only “Wish” that such beguiling magic will never quite fade, never slip away without a trace.

This is a somewhat complex perfume; it has lactonic scent, but also smells like acetone. It's a bit heavy and unusual. Not bad, just weird.

This smelled quite nice, though I did end up gifting it because of the coconut and citrus elements. The perfume’s quality is good, and so is its performance.

Wish feels like stepping into an opulent, golden-lit ballroom, rich, indulgent, and quietly enchanting. It opens with a luminous sweetness: sun-ripened peach and soft citrus, touched by a hint of anise. There’s an immediate sense of anticipation - bright, slightly playful, yet already wrapped in elegance. As the scent unfolds, it deepens into something far more decadent. Notes of chocolate, amber, and vanilla emerge like a lavish dessert; warm, velvety, and gently spiced. Hints of caramel and almond add a gourmand richness, creating a texture that feels both indulgent and comforting, with a subtle smoky edge that lingers on the skin. In the dry-down, the fragrance softens into a warm, enveloping embrace. Vanilla blends with patchouli and amber, shifting the mood from opulence to intimacy, like moving from a grand ballroom to a quiet room lit by a crackling fire. Overall, Wish is a journey from sparkling sweetness to deep, sensual warmth. It’s rich without being overwhelming, nostalgic yet sophisticated - an indulgent, memorable scent that lingers long after it settles.

I love this one so much!! I’ve been obsessed with it for years 💖

Perfumes smells best when the scents marry each other and bring out the best of each other, and that the scents are proportionate. Looking at the notes chart of this one I just feel like they just throw in a bunch of whatever they like and the result is an obnoxious headache-inducing scent. If you ever wondered what's the opposite of aromatherapy, this is the one. This is what maximalism smells like. Besides from that, this perfume performed terribly on me. Half of the time I use it, it somehow manages to smell like a pungent piss-like spicy smell. It was truly one of the few perfumes I used that turned stinky when blend with my natural skin chemistry. I even got my family asking "What's that smell?" with disgust because of how stinky it was. I was so embarrassed.

Just got this one. Opened and sprayed on paper. After the initial wetness dissipated but not totally dry, to my nose it conjures a 1950s powder room. I can just see a light pink powder puff and drawing it close to adore the scent. At least on paper, it does not have any real projection. It takes picking it up and waving in my direction or just getting super close to get that powdery goodness. I will have to give this one some time and a few wears, but it's got me intrigued. I will update my findings and experience then. Update: I applied this to my skin a about 3 and 1/2 hours ago and it has a vastly different experience from what it was like on paper. It opened sort of charged with that power as with paper, but then it became a blur that I can't say was pleasant or displeasing, just an almost leather that didn't have any femininity to it at all. I have to get really close to the skin to pick up that powder, otherwise it comes off very masculine leathery/musky vibe with sweet hints. It reminds me of a more masculine version of Hypnotic Poison. This may be one I end up wearing on clothing only as it may just be reacting to my skin in a not so favorable way. Will update again after more experience with it.

In the words of Mr Harry Styles: You know it’s not the same as it was… Since the reformulation, the scent lacks the qualities of the thick creamy caramel and inscense. It’s what made this perfume so mysterious. Now all that remains is candied strawberry. Light candy caramel. I am being left uninspired. Why oh why, Chopard?

Based on the staggering 28 notes I could not quite figure out what the fragrance would smell like. Then I read it smelled similar to angel, I never smelled that one so I went on trying it out. I was not impressed, too much of a patchouli bomb for my taste. But this beauty is such a stunning gem. The patchouli is so well blendend and balanced out by the caramel, milk and strawberry combo... ever so slightly smokey, woodsy and powdery....just stunning and misterious as well.

It definitely has a DNA of Angel. At first, when I saw the pyramid, I was overwhelmed and couldn’t even guess how it would smell, but it’s very chic, simple, and classy, with a definite milky vibe. It’s sweet, warm, milky, and fruity. The only thing is that its color changes over time, which I found interesting. Its longevity is good, but it doesn’t have much projection.

Like a very expensive high-class hairspray. Spray it on your hair for that effect! Other than that it smells weak and vanishes in couple of hours. The notes mentiomed here I cannot decipher. Edit: Comparing it to Angel is odd as there is no similarity to Angel here

In the 1990s, (women's) fragrances were first allowed to be overwhelmingly sweet, but full acceptance and mass popularity of such scent profiles were still many years away, ...and so, like the oft-compared Angel, the marketing of Chopard's Wish keeps its gourmand affinities elegantly vague. Instead of wishing upon an already claimed star, ...the wearer can wish upon a gleaming gemstone. Why not? Anything, just so long as the imagery isn't too on-the-nose about candy, cookies, and cake. Regardless, Wish is a full-on sugar bomb. I'll admit, the first time I smelled Wish, I found it a perfect dupe for the syrup put in cotton candy machines. But now, I will admit there are some softly varied nuances to be found within Wish's spun-sugar cloud, ...but most of that variation is also very sweet as well. Yes, the opening of Wish does smell like candied strawberries, with various other fruity, floral, and vanillic bon-bons adding some further complexity, ....but only within a narrow range. In Wish, the closest thing to an unsweet note is that the caramelized sugar drydown does eventually begin to smell very slightly burnt, ...but even that intrusion can be largely dismissed as just a more browned aspect of amber and santal. Yes, lightly and occasionally sampling such a super-sweet scent as Wish can summon a sense of delicious cheer, ...but it is usually best to refrain from gorging on such confections with full, all-day wear. One must know when to step away from the candy bowl. Also, for those wondering about the variably tinted 'juice'. The presence of vanillin in any perfume will cause it to slowly darken. The pale blue dye may also fade away. Keeping the bottle in a cool, dark place will slow, but not stop these reactions. However, such color change should not affect the scent profile.

I had two bottles but managed to inadvertently give away both. At first I thought ah well ... But then I began to miss this sweet, cheerful, unpretentious little number and today bought another. It helps that where I live, 30mls of Wish can be had for about the price of a sandwich and a coffee. Anyway, my point is that these three bottles were all bought within the space of about a year, two new and one off ebay (age unknown). All smelled the same and in all of them the juice was brown. So I don't quite believe that brown juice indicates that the perfume is 'off', as some people below me seem to think. It seems too much of a co-incidence that I should get brown juice three times. Also, there are many Fragram images showing brown juice. So don't be put off! You could think of it as 'cognac'. 🙂

There's no way it's similar to Angel, had to declutter it..

Bought a mini after seeing it compared to Angel but this is nowhere near. What Wish is is a weird, jack-of-all-trades, chameleon...spicy, fruity-floral with a powdery-honey undercurrent, and hints of soap and smoke. There's a LOT going on here, all at once, and I find it a bit overwhelming. But it's Natalie Lorson so I'm going to give it a few wears before I decide if I like it or will pass it along. I'm finding it interesting, at the very least.

Like the last comment mentioned, not as beastly as Angel but after a few months the sweet coconut evolves to be more complex and delightful to smell. I sniff my clothes all evening and it stays on for over a week, so soft sweet and powdery on fabric. Once you’re able to get past the screechy opening, you enter into the world of pure powdery sweetness! Currently on my 3rd bottle since it was gifted to me by my dad. Definitely a signature for work since it’s so classic and inoffensive. No plans of ever stopping… No notice of a bad batch with green liquid yet, thankfully!

I bought this for my mum for her birthday as she loves Angel and I heard this was a good affordable alternative. She really liked it and sprayed a bit on me too. It is reminiscent of Angel but not as heavy or cloyingly sweet. It's really pretty. Not as beastly longlasting as Angel, but is nice if you want something lighter for everyday. My mum's very happy with it 😊

My husband used to LOOOVE this perfume. I just couldn’t… I used to wear it for work (to finish it faster) and I had a lot of people complimenting it - mostly men. I suspect it’s because it was one of the first very gourmand fragrances after Angel came out/

I adore this! It smells sparkly, and is unlike anything I've ever smelled.
