Coach Platinum

It's a nice scent, but the age demographic is young in my opinion. It's for a teenager/young person's scent. Probably like 14-25 years old.

Smells almost the exact same as VR Spicebomb. The OG one. Just a tad more fresh or green

One of my favorites by Coach, and to me, it's a woody fragrance done to perfection. I would say this leans closer to a winter fragrance more than anything, but I wear it year round as it just works in most settings. It's warm, and it smells super smooth. It's a really good everyday fragrance, and works great in work settings. Warm and comforting. I will be buying this one again.

Good everyday cologne

Black pepper, sage & juniper. A bit like dior suavage opening-wise and different dry down, good sillage & longitivity. Edit: it dries down to something plastic and synthetic scent, unsure where that is coming from.

Strong blue fragrance that does surprisingly well in humid weather as well. I won't buy it again but it's got a cozy feel and smells 'comforting.'

I don‘t know about this one… It‘s synthetic and kind of headache-inducing. At least it doesn‘t project very far

Very powdery. Like others I do get some Sauvage from this, specifically the parfum. Makes sense with the sandalwood and vanilla notes. If you like that profile you can’t go wrong with this for the price. Been seeing big bottles of this for $80 at retail discounters like Ross. Apparently it’s been discontinued so if you like the scent grab a big bottle while you still can. If you don’t like scents that veer into baby powder territory avoid it.

Didn't know what this was when I first found it. I am a fan of sweet fragrances and this may be the masculine equivalent for me at the moment. Long lasting and sticks to your clothes (this may be a negative but I love it). Fruity and maybe floral in my opinion

A smoother, slightly fruitier and muskier take on Sauvage with a lot less pepper, so it comes across a bit softer and not as in-your-face as this DNA can be. It's a great buy if you can find it cheap -- even though the bottle is tacky. Also, the atomizer and sprayer are totally awful. However, this doesn't take away from the scents value at all. For fans of the Sauvage-style scent profile, 'Platinum' is great.

This perfume has a good scent profile i really like, performance is moderate last for 5-6 hours on skin and good project for an hour. I’ll rate this 7.5/10 fresh and mass appealing.

Marly Pegasus! It took me a while to figure it out. This is a fantastic heathery vanilla scent. I kept telling myself, this smells like another that you have. (and I have a lot). Sure enough it hit me so I went with Platinum on the right wrist and Pegasus on the left and I am going to say 75% the same! Love both of them and for the cost of Pegasus I will start wearing Platinum more when I want the DNA. Looking forward to getting the brand new Platinum by the way.

Very underrated. Its has a beautiful pineapple note and some nice vanillic sweetness to it. Very smooth, well rounded, and versatile. Definitely not a love but its a fragrance I enjoy.

Metallic blackcurrant and pineapple fragrance, one of the best things coach has put out.sadly also couch have rapidly phased it out and deleted it from the back catalogue as of the start of this year. I wonder why the price of this went silly and sky rocketed recently. Get it while you can.

Honestly this is just a beautiful fragrance. Fruity up top, herbal middle, with a creamy woody patchouli dry down. I'm tempted to use it more than I already do. Update: I'm a fan of Coach, but this is my clear favorite; it's just so smooth and awesome. I get a silky suede pineapple gin and pepper martini to kick things off in the open, sliding into softly floral cashmere and sage. The base is my favorite part and lasts a good 6-8 hours on my skin; the creamy sandalwood and patchouli suede to me is just so good. Curses on the executive that made the decision to discontinue this beautiful fragrance.

Fizzy, sweet opening. Plenty of ambroxan after drydown, with light woods and citrus still prominent. This is suitable for office/gym/dinner/night out in my opinion. Bentley silverlake is very similar in my opinion. Much more than sauvage edt or luna rossa.

It is a versatile scent. You can actually turn it into your signature scent! It is a common standout.

I got a full bottle as a gift. Smooth sweet powdery vanilla with soft depth and character as you might expect from the additional notes listed above. I think its unisex, though it does seem to sway with my mood and it's not masculine in a traditional manly way but, maybe a retired gentleman's masculine idk, but also not too old person smell like(though the powder does kinda push it in that direction). Kinda light and fuzzy in a way, super awesome just out the shower, very pleasant. I love to layer it 2:1 on top of oud for glory. Unless you have an a strong aversion to the powdery smell/texture this is a safe blind buy and its easy to wear. Though I'm happy I have it, I'm glad it was a gift. I personally wouldn't have purchased it. My 70yo mom loves it when I wear it to her house.

Coach Platinum is another middling fragrance for someone who has a large collection like myself. There is nothing inherently wrong with the product, it just has a hard time standing out in more complex collections. It's not a bad daily driver, but something I may eventually get bored of and may swap out for something else in a year or two. Platinum feels quite soft on my skin, but the longevity is there (I get a good 6-8 hours). The projection goes about 2ft for the first hour or so, then it fades to a soft 6in-1ft bubble for the rest of the ride, and sillage is pretty soft as well, but the scent itself is quite nice if you like the sweeter stuff. It’s kind of a fruity vanilla that I get, with a soft hint of ambroxan. I will say that if I paid the full $90+ retail for this, I’d be quite upset, but at the $35 price from online retailers (2 oz bottle), it’s a worthy grab. It’s a great option to wear at the office or as an up close, snuggle & cuddle type of frag, but don’t expect it to Bomb through at a bar or club. You can easily wear this in the fall, winter, and early spring. In the summertime it may just feel a bit out of place when you want something brighter and fresher. Some people compare it to Sauvage and Aventus, but I don’t get anything remotely close to those. It’s much sweeter and softer than both.

This one is one of my favorites ever, and I just ran out of my bottle unfortunately. It doesn't smell like Sauvage to me at all. It's a soft but masculine vanilla with a super smooth leather. I get a bit of pineapple in the opening but not an overwhelming amount. I don't get much pepper, but I do get a bit of lavender which isn't listed. 9.5/10 due to a slight synthetic feel but that's most fragrances.

Uniqueness: 6.5/10 – Familiar modern designer territory, but competently executed with the aforementioned slightly weird, metallic juniper that's something different. SCORE: 73/100 Full bottle buy? NO, enjoyable, but not distinctive enough to earn a permanent spot. Blind buy? YES, relatively safe if you like sweet, woody, modern designers, and enjoy juniper. Recommend? YES, especially as a cozy, mass-appealing option. Date night? YES, warm, sweet, and inviting without being overpowering. Office safe? YES, if applied lightly, I find the juniper overwhelming in this particular case. Pros: Warm and sweet, mass appealing, reasonable performance, solid value Cons: Slightly synthetic edge, not very original, limited evolution, designer-safe Coach Platinum feels like a very calculated modern designer release. It leans into sweet vanilla woods with a clean, slightly metallic sheen that gives it a polished, contemporary feel. Nothing here is challenging or experimental, as it's designed to be an entirely unobjectionable bottle. The sweetness is, although synthetic, smooth rather than syrupy, and the woods keep it grounded enough to avoid going full gourmand. That balance makes it easy to wear and easy to recommend, especially if you enjoy cozy, modern scents that don’t demand attention, don't take any avant garde or difficult to follow routes, and stay smelling consistently... slightly above average. While it doesn’t bring anything new to the table, it does what it sets out to do quite well. Coach Platinum is comfortable, likable, and reliable. It's a reasonable semi-budget bottle (sub $40 on discounters) for beginners, or anyone who wants something that's, well, fine. Also, I feel particularly motivated to say this, anyone comparing this to Sauvage is kind of off crazy. Yes, they both maintain a fresh spicy profile, mostly from the peppery geranium/patchouli blend, but they're entirely different fragrances. After abandoning Platinum for a couple years, I came back today. There is that Carbon/ Sauvage dna present in the opening and mid, but here it is tucked away within a cloud of powdery musk, cashmere, nilla, sandalwood & sage that on my skin ultimately ventures into Fougère like territory.. I love it. Cooler weather only. Chefs kiss to the juicy pineapple opening. LR Carbon Noîr or I could even see this being a Chanel flanker.

I've been wanting this one forever and finally got it. Truly a masterpiece.

Pepper, woods, and vanilla is what I get. Opening is very peppery. Smells classy and inviting. I would only wear this in the fall and winter. Smells a bit like savage, but savage is a lot more blue smelling, and not as dark. Never smelled the parfum or elixir, it’s probably more similar to those.

Fragrance Journal Entry #95 This one is nice and i prefer it to the original coach for men. With that said this fragrance doesn't really stand out to me, it's one of those ones that other people love to smell on you but for the wearer it gets boring rather quickly. The vanilla and pineapple is a nice change up but it doesn't push any boundaries, further more it's one of those ones that is geared to cooler weather but it doesn't push through the cold so the times to wear this feel somewhat limited in that sense. If Sauvage was a talcum powder in a best way possible. Tbh, I would have loved it if Dior Sauvage Parfum version would have smelled like this. Replacing zingy citrus with Sweet Pinapple, Ambroxan with Cashmere and stingy spiciness with leather, vanilla and Sandalwood. Maintains the DNA and works quite well but quality is quite mid in my opinion.

Coach Platinum is a fabulous fragrance for any collection. The pineapple and vanilla really stand out. It works for all seasons. Just five sprays for the winter and fall, and three in the spring and summer, and you're good. Don't purchase the fragrance at full price. Either Jomashop or other discount websites will save you money.

It's just ok. It's kind of teetering the border between something generic and special. It had the potential to be great, but Coach decided to cheap out on it i guess, bc it shows. I got this from for dirt cheap so i'm not kicking myself over it. If you have some cash left over and want something maybe from Coach for the cold weather, I might consider this but I'm probably not going to wear this again, I might just give it away.

I personally like this, to me its about a 6.5/10. But when i was wearing it tdy smb behind me said “something smells bad, like cheap cologne” I will be taking this as directed to me😔

Nothing great, very generic, not strong, weak sillage.
