The best aventus! The DNA is a little boring to me however you can't not like this fragrance.

the top notes are a little basic though with some edge but the drydown 30 min later of this thing genuinely smells like if my skin was in a spicy yet soft musky coating, lasts a really good while. Can definetly smell the price too, seriously lmao 9/10

Creed Absolu Aventus: The Prodigal Son Returns, Smelling of Cinnamon Absolu Aventus is what happens when the most successful fragrance in modern history takes a gap year. Regular Aventus is the guy who peaked in a good way smoky pineapple, boardroom energy, worn by roughly one in four men at any given wedding. Absolu is that same guy after twelve months somewhere cold, where he grew a beard, developed strong opinions about spice markets, and came back convinced he's a different person now. He isn't. But he does smell very good, and he's charging you three hundred and fifty dollars to hear about it. Presentation Jet black. Completely, unrepentantly jet black Creed's classic squat flacon rendered in a colour that says "I have a driver." The original Aventus bottle is grey and speckled like polished granite; Absolu ditches the marbling entirely and goes full obsidian, which is the visual equivalent of a man switching to an all-black wardrobe and expecting you not to comment. It's beautiful. It's also the kind of object that gets photographed on a hotel bathroom shelf next to a watch, and both of you know it. Scent Profile The opening is a citrus flashbang. Grapefruit and bergamot arrive first with lemon in support, and there's a lift here that regular Aventus simply doesn't have. Brighter, more polished, like someone opened a window in a room you'd got used to. Blackcurrant sits just underneath doing the tart, slightly sticky work. It smells expensive within four seconds, which is exactly the trick you paid for. Then the pineapple shows up, because of course it does. This is Aventus DNA and it was never going anywhere. But it's been ambushed on arrival by pink pepper, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, the entire spice aisle staging an intervention. The fruit is still there, it's just now attending a dinner party where everyone is talking over it. This is the section that makes Absolu feel like autumn while the original feels like a Tuesday in June. The dry-down is smoky Haitian vetiver, patchouli, oakmoss, ambroxan, tonka and musk, and it goes warm. Where classic Aventus lands on that crisp birch-smoke plateau, Absolu settles into something creamier and rounder, sweetened just enough to keep everyone at the table happy. It's a bonfire on a beach, three hours in, when the fruit has caramelised and everyone's stopped pretending they're leaving early. The Batch Question We have to. It's Creed. Absolu launched in 2023 as a limited edition, was brought back in 2024 as a recurring "crop," and got another go in 2025, and enthusiasts will tell you at length which year was the real one. Some are right. All are unbearable. Sample before you commit and let the forums fight it out without you. Longevity and Sillage Strong genuinely 8 to 10 hours, which for Creed is practically a personality transplant given the house's historical talent for vanishing at lunchtime. Sillage is a two-hour firework followed by a long, close-to-the-skin simmer. It announces itself, then leans in and gets quiet, which is arguably more effective than shouting. Versatility Very high, with one caveat. It's a cool-weather machine, autumn evenings, dinners, dates, the office if your office has a decent HVAC system. In genuine heat the spice-and-sweetness stack gets a bit much. Also worth knowing: it lives in the same postcode as Sauvage Elixir. If you already own that one, you are about to spend a great deal of money on a very sophisticated echo. Overall Impressions Absolu Aventus is superb, and it is not new. It's the finest possible version of a thing you have already smelled, richer, spicier, better behaved, wrapped in a black bottle and priced like a small appliance. If you love Aventus and have always wished it were warmer, this is a genuine upgrade and you'll be delighted. If you were hoping Creed had invented something, this is your polite reminder that the prodigal son came home with a beard, not a new personality. Worth it? If money is a concept you engage with loosely, absolutely. If not, sample it, love it, and go buy something no one else at the wedding is wearing. There is a reason why Absolu Aventus is as hyped up as it is. I have a 75ml bottle of this version and it is absolutely amazing. You can where this anytime, anywhere, and you will feel absolutely confident that you smell better than anyone. This fragrance is a total compliment machine and in my experience one that women absolutely love. I've worn it to the office and quite literally walked through a hall and had 3 different people compliment me back to back to back. Anyone who has an issue with its longevity or performance is 100% just going noseblind. I wore this to work with only 3 sprays and a good 4 hours after applying my boss walked into my office and immediately from across the room said "It smells sexy in here, is that you?". I was happy for the compliment but honestly a little self conscious afterwards about how much i must be filling the room. I've now toned it down to 2 sprays for the office which really is a great thing to know how well it performs. Is it the most complex? No. Is it something so unique you've never smelled anything close to it? No. What it is, is a well crafted, masculine, expensive smelling, fragrance that does exactly what its supposed to do and it does a damn good job at it.

i don't personally care for this. i sampled aventus absolu a few years back, but it was the limited edition version, and that smelled amazing to my nose, spices especially from the cinnamon and pineapple, were apparent. it smelled dark sweet and just alluring, like a real nighttime and cold weather banger. this permanent version, just smells like a huge patchouli bomb, no depth not much spiciness, just patchouli and some pineapple. and for whatever reason, influencers are hyping this to the high heavens, perhaps they are being paid? i don't really know. i'll also be honest in saying that the dry-down is a lot better than the 1st hour or so, but it is still not as god as people make this out to be. i have a full bottle of this, but i definitely will not be purchasing another bottle of this.

First wear: Is this what all the hype is about? I'm barely getting any pineapple, and the spice isn't doing it for me. Second wear: Still searching for the pineapple. The spice isn't so bad this time, but I expected it to be sweeter. Third wear: Not bad at all, actually. Fourth wear: I really like this now. If you think you can judge this one after a single sniff or one wear, I'd say give it a real chance. Grab at least a 5ml decant before writing it off or committing to a full bottle.

Popped into my local Creed store and had a great conversation with the rep there while getting my nose on a bunch of their fragrances. I initially went in because I previously (years ago) thoroughly enjoyed Aventus Cologne and was considering picking it up but of course I had to smell the other options since I never had the chance And wow, this one just captivated me - much more so than anything else in there. That was a big surprise as honestly, this wasn't really on my radar. It's dark and rich - the pineapple at the opening is beautiful and yet the scent just screams masculinity. The dry down also has a good amount of sweetness to keep it crowd-pleasing enough. Fair warning, I have no previous reference point with Absolu as I know some folks compare this to prior iterations of the frag, and I hear Creed suffers from batch inconsistency - but man, my experience with this one was awesome. I even sprayed it on a few times and while the performance was a bit underwhelming over the long term (4+ hours), I was still able to catch whiffs here and there and was captivated each time all the same. Truthfully I didn't have the budget to buy something, but the rep and I seemed to hit it off well enough that she gave me a sample of this and regular Aventus as I told her "I'm on the hunt for my first niche purchase." Truthfully, I know I will buy one of them some day soon as I have made a pact to not buy any more frags unless I absolutely love them, and I can say that about this one. Added to my to-buy list. 9.1/10.

Okay so hear me out, kinda unpopular opinion, but the blending quality seems somewhat disappointing. To be clear, I really think this is a good fragrance and clearly fits a masculine leaning mass appealing fragrance. The very reason we enthusiasts buy Creeds, despite them being relatively simple smelling and most even lasting as long as a fart(not absolu though, this one lasts a decent while, 8-10 hours on me), is simply the fact that we admire how well they’re blended. At least me personally, I admire Creed for largely this reason. And I was hearing a lot of hype around this and trust me it does smell nice and lasts better than most creeds but each note fights each other, there’s no effortless smoothness other creeds have, even in comparison to Aventus, the Absolu seems poorly blended as if all the notes were forced together. Tested the 2023 and 2025 batches they’re only negligibly different and my opinion about either variations stays the same.

Over hyped its just rough citrus and dry down sweet incense only no anything else

Although Absolu Aventus is quite a lovely fragrance with nice overtones of smoky woods, I definitely prefer the original Aventus. The Absolu version has lost all the lovely pineapple from its heart, and now comes across as a stepchild of Tom Ford's Vanilla and Creed's Royal Oud, neither of which I would ever purchase. It's nice, but not on par with the original. Too much vanilla has replaced the pineapple entirely. I like this version for what it is, but I won't be purchasing another bottle.

Its a very versatile dark, masculine and clean scent. It starts with pineapple then dryes down to this clean musk. Honestly this is something bruce wayne would wear. Its the goat of signature scents and the supremacy collectors edition is a good option if your on a budget.

If this smells like literal shit chances are you probably wipe your ass with leaves and/also litter. If the jeets (or whatever) find this repulsive im buying this ASAP. Imagine using ai to make a post saying how this smells like shit from an ass (absurdly frequent double hyphens gave it away in your Kilian review)…. Who would do that lol? But seriously I smelt the 75ml and the OG and I really wanted to shit on both, but this juice in particular talked some sense into me. Will be getting 100ml tho

This is my current favorite fragrance. I enjoy everything about it. The pineapple is bright and juicy. I love how it is fresh and dark at the same time. This is my go to fragrance. I have made a huge dent in the bottle. Definitely will purchase this again and again. The 75ml is alleged to be more smokey and less fruity. I am not 100% sure of that it may be the power of suggestion lol. It is great. Edit: I did repurchase. This time a 75ml. I also got in on a split for super cheap and got a 50ml bottle. It is that good in my opinion. Scent: 9.9 Projections: 7.5 Sillage: 7.5 Value: 8 Overall: 9.5 (scent is the most important to me) Occasions: Gym, office/school, date, special occasion, whenever.

Creed Aventus smells like ass. Not just any ass—an ass that belonged to someone who had SHIT for dinner the worst SHIT of his life the night before. He wakes up at 6 a.m. with an explosive case of diarrhea so violent it sounds like a machine gun firing into a swimming pool. He barely makes it to the toilet before completely emptying his soul. Then comes the real horror… No toilet paper. Still cramping, sweating, and fighting for his life, he desperately searches the bathroom for anything he can use. Nothing. Then he spots a fresh, innocent pineapple sitting on the kitchen counter. The poor bastard cuts it in half and, with absolutely no dignity left, wipes his ass with it. Two hours later, after the blood, sweat, tears, and regret have finally settled, he catches a whiff of himself… “Holy shit.” His ass smells exactly like Creed Aventus. That’s the fragrance. Fruity, musky, and unmistakably reminiscent of pineapple-rubbed diarrhea ass. As for Creed Aventus Absolu, it’s exactly the same story… the only difference is that the pineapple was rotten. #justice for pineapple

Its like a jacked up version of Aventus but with more grapefruit and blackcurrant notes going on that dominates. Really nice when going to the beach. It feels more formal when worn at night. Very nice fragrance but a bit overpriced.

This is like Sauvage elixir if you sprayed elixir 12 hours ago. I find these very similar with the best option being Sauvage elixir for me.

Creed Aventus Absolu has become my signature fragrance and, without doubt, my favourite scent in my collection. I'm not a fragrance expert, just someone who enjoys wearing fragrances that make me feel good, and this one does exactly that. From the moment I first smelled it, I knew there was something special about it. The opening is fresh, fruity and powerful, but what really stands out to me is how smooth and refined it feels throughout the entire wear. As it develops, it keeps the unmistakable Aventus DNA while adding a darker, richer twist that feels more mature and luxurious. It's one of those fragrances that constantly makes you want to smell your wrist throughout the day. The price is certainly a consideration, and there are inspired alternatives available that come surprisingly close. However, having owned both, there's still something about Creed Aventus Absolu that feels a little more polished and complete. For me, this isn't just another fragrance in the collection—it's the one I reach for most often and the scent I'd choose if I could only own one bottle. An easy 9.5/10 from me.

Edit- Current 100ml absolu aventus is good 8/10. 2023 absolu aventus the 75 ml bottles are a masterpiece. The difference is slight but noticeable to my experienced nose. The 75 ml bottle is spicier, darker, richer. Powerful and unforgettable. I tried a 75 ml bottle years ago and loved it. Immediately bought a 10 ml decant online from a 100ml bottle and immediately smelled a difference. I didn’t like it as much and only wore it 10 or so times. I got another decant from a 75 ml bottle which I never forgot that smell and was reminded of the absolu aventus I loved. 9.5 out of 10 masterpiece (the 75 ml bottle that is now discontinued)

I’ll forever prefer the 2023 batch to the new one, it’s much more complex and has an almost Christmas feel to it. I understand the new batches are meant to be closer in line with Aventus for consistency’s sake, but this is too good of a batch to just throw out. It lasts forever, it’s deep and woodsy but soft and charismatic. I’ve gotten way too many compliments wearing this and I really want to rock it as a signature scent, but the price and rarity of this batch is what’s stopping me. The 2025 batch is too safe and boring to my taste. Overall a 10/10, a signature worthy masterpiece.

Good perfume but waaay overpriced

Ok so sampling this finally, I can say it seems like a fruiter, light spice and slightly denser version of aventus. Really a slight tweak. I can see why many are in love with the profile, it's hard not to like, but for me it's just like not a love. Out of all the aventus (official from creed not dupes) that I've tried I would rank this second behind aventus cologne, but ahead of the original. The cologne just suits my style more, but I can see absolute being used for cool months and evenings moreso than any other in the aventus line. Can't rate longevity yet, but I can say for certain that it's popping off my skin more than the original. Because aventus and the cologne are more geared towards spring summer (maybe fall with the original) I think that absolute might be the most well rounded since it can be used anytime (aside from maybe hot summer days), in almost any season, day or night.

Got my nose on this today for the first time. And it’s an absolute banger. Obviously the Creed line is way overpriced, I don’t think any fragrance should cost that much. But… if you can get this at a good discount it’s by far my favorite from the line, and there is some great stuff in the line, but this is my personal favorite.

@Stinkvent - Listing "some" fragrance ingredients with their trademark names is relatively a recent trend, perhaps from late 00s onwards. Evernyl has been in use, like you pointed out, since many decades, even when oakmoss was not restricted. A&F - Fierce for example, is an Evernyl bomb but due to the regular fragrance marketing trends, ingredient trademarks or actual chemical names have almost never made into notes, which are nothing but marketing info. A fragrance with 100 individual ingredients may be marketed with 3 notes, and Fragrantica will naturally show those as presented by the brand. If a company decides to use Evernyl instead of oakmoss in their marketing, then most likely you'll see it on sites like Fragrantica. Your finding of Evernyl going only back to 2019 on this site simply means there probably were no brands who decided to use Evernyl as a note in their official marketing as far as known.

I got a sample of this, and I LOVE it, My favorite fragrance ever. A little reluctant to pay retail, but it smells amazing and last long.

This is an ultra masculine Dior Sauvage Elixir, I don’t get much, take this off my hands 330$ MaisonParfum805 on EBay.

This fragrance is absolutely stunning. Smooth, confident, and addictive without trying too hard. The kind of scent that turns heads when you walk by and leaves people asking what you’re wearing. Clean, masculine, and sexy all at once. Women will go crazy over this one.

Strong fruit scent with an almost equally strong warm spicy base --- it's excellent. I'm a big fan of spices, so this to my nose is just an improved version of Aventus, which I already rate quite highly. 9.5/10
