Millésime Impérial

Its okay, a scent DNA that in the 90s when this released would have warranted the appeal but now in 2026; this scent profile exist in thousands of other brands for much cheaper & vastly better performance. Versace & Armani both have the same scent done better. The only difference in Creeds is a very very faint powdery iris (but its so subtle & only in the dry down) Creed should have doubled or tripled the iris to make this stand out. Granted this scents pushing 30, i do wish they had tweaked it in 2020 [when Creed sold to Blackrock to then sell again in 2023] their entire line reformulated due to private equity & that's when performance was butchered even more. However for the modern price point & performance? Its a hate. Im sorry Creed!

Creed Millésime Impérial opens with a distinctly marine and metallic character, although the metallic quality feels cold, salty, and refined rather than sharp. Beneath it, there is an interesting fruity note that sits somewhere between sweet and tart, adding brightness and personality to the opening. After a few minutes, the fragrance settles into something calmer and more aquatic. It becomes increasingly musky and ozonic, creating an airy, almost weightless sensation that reminds me of the breeze along a luxurious coastline. As it develops, the fruity sweetness gradually fades, although faint traces of it remain in the background. What stays on the skin is a fresh, musky, marine accord with noticeable salty nuances. The drydown feels clean, relaxed, and elegant without becoming overly soapy or generic. In terms of performance, Millésime Impérial performs reasonably well during the first few hours, especially in warm weather, where the heat helps enhance its projection. It lasts noticeably longer on clothing, although performance is not the main strength of this fragrance. Considering its price, its longevity and projection can feel somewhat mediocre. However, with the right number of sprays, it becomes much more enjoyable and remains extremely easy to like. In my experience, around 6 to 10 sprays are necessary to achieve a satisfying presence. I see it as an excellent option for events in warm climates. Its fresh yet refined character makes it highly versatile, working equally well for casual or formal occasions, whether they take place indoors or outdoors.

2014 vintage (Batch 3314D01) The opening is not as bright as Club de Nuit Milestone for the fizzy salty watermelon, but it still comes off as plenty potent especially nose to skin on ambergris watermelon saltiness (the trade-off is that the vintage is far richer). Where this shines is more in early and late dry down as the ambergris comes on even stronger and it gets this powdery iris, salty warm ambery musk. It might upset people, but I want the best of both worlds, so next time I'll layer the vintage with the current formulated clone just for the extra pop in the open; it almost certainly won't take anything away from Millesime in this manner because after 30 minutes or so it'll completely take over as it's considerably more robust in structure.

All I smell from MI is harshness, like rock salt and chlorine attacking my sinuses. It smells terrible. I wouldn't even spray this on my asshole.

Probably the greatest men's cologne of all time.. for the 2-3 hours that you get to experience it for. Beautiful mineralic, marine DNA that blends perfectly into a bed of salty, slightly fruity musk. While both projection and longevity leave a lot to be desired, this particular Creed offering is the perfection of the quintessential man's daily marine go-to. While not everyone will appreciate this cologne for reasons articulated above, everyone should at least get the chance to smell it once in their life. You can go heavy on the sprays without issue- very non-offensive, as most Creed freshies tend to be. Creed does fresh scents like no other- Millesime Imperial, Wild Vetiver, SMW, and VIW are an impressive, impressive quartet.

A very light, delicate fragrance. The opening smells luxurious, fresh, mineral. Smells like a sea breeze on a warm summer day, but it's a different kind of mineral and sea fragrance compared to something like Acqua di Gio Profondo. Think less deep blue masculine, and mistier and muskier. The fragrance is unisex, suitable for men and women alike. The musk stands out a little too much for my preferences, but some people will like that. This is not a strong projection fragrance. It's also not a longevity fragrance. It's something you'd wear if you just want to feel fresh, clean, optimistic, without necessarily being noticed by people around you. It's more of a personal fragrance. From a craftsmanship standpoint, this is a good fragrance, but I personally don't consider this worth the money. Moreover, I wouldn't get satisfaction wearing it even if it were gifted to me. Some people will really like this. That's understandable, but try this on yourself before you buy it.

I work a typical corporate office job and this is one of my go-to scents for work. It's a unique salty and minerallic citrus that's full of texture. It doesn't drown everyone out and sits fairly close. This is a perfect situational example of how not every fragrance needs to be loud and eternal. Another huge plus is that this fragrance on me drives my other half wild so that's another reason I like to wear this haha!

Fruity cleaning detergent

Not a bad fragrance, but not the best either. I only bought it because I was given a very good discount while purchasing silver mountain water (which I like a lot more), otherwise I’d never go out of my way to buy it, yet alone pay full price for it. This fragrance has the potential to be a good performing scent, assuming you’re standing out in the heat all day. If you’re wearing it to the office like I tried doing, it’s a skin scent after 1.5-2 hours, and gone by 3-4. As for the actual scent itself, I don’t pick up on any of the fruitiness until the dry down, which isn’t an issue as I honestly really like the opening. The best way to describe the opening is that it smells like being hit in the face with the sea breeze, and since I’m a huge fan of aquatic scent profiles I didn’t mind this at all, it’s just unfortunate that it doesn’t last. Scent alone is an 8 or 8.5/10, but when factoring in performance it’s a 6/10, just mid.

Fresh opening but the dry down is too salty with too many mineral notes. I'd like it if it was more aquatic with fruity notes added.

A deliberately light and intimate scent that's a really smooth and well crafted balance of salt and dark(ish) citrus. It gets something of a bad rap because it's not a beast mode projection bomb that radiates across a room but sometimes that's a feature, not a bug. This is for someone who justs want to smell good without your scent needing to announce your presence to everyone in a 50yrd radius. For this, I think MI is hard to beat - it's elegant and interesting without being bombastic. The skin scent drydown is also really pleasant - a salty musk that kind of tickles your nostrils if you get close. Unlike Silver Mountain Water I actually think this has quite good longevity, it's just very easy to go noseblind to it really quickly. I find with a few sprays of this I'll still catch whiffs of it radiating away from my skin many hours later, suggesting it's still projecting, and the musky drydown is still there the next day until I shower. I think peoples' issue with performance is mostly because they go in expecting an Aventus-style projection powerhouse, and this isn't that. The price tag - as with all Creed fragrances - is absurdly high, it's not worth the price but that doesn't detract from the quality of it. A note on Milestone: some people have said that Milestone is borderline identical to this and to those people I question their olfactory capacities. They may have some superficial elements but Milestone is like a loud EDM show and Milliseme Imperial is a soft jazz concert. In other words - they're nothing alike. The softness and lightness of MI is the point, whereas Milestone is not bad for the price, but it's a synthetic bomb and the musks used are clearly of lower quality - the drydown is nowhere near as pleasant as it is with MI.

A timeless, masculine fresh summer scent. One of those scents that instantly puts you in a better mood as soon as you spray it on. Performance could be better, but the scent is amazing and easy to like, especially in the summer.

Had a sample from Scent Split. Smelled incredible. Unfortunately, it contains alpha-isomethyl-ionone which my cat and I are allergic to. It gave me a rash and gave her stomach problems. Soooo I can't recommend.

smells like expensive deodorant

Nice lil smell! Got this as a decant, and elegent, the perfect mix of salty, aquatic clean accords. Weak however, and nothing to jump at. I feel like i'd love this when I'm 40, but too refined for me tbh. 7.6/10

Smells really elegant and expensive, like a powdery take on a traditional marine cologne. It lasts only 4 hours, and is absurdly expensive for what it is. Very nice on its own, but not worth it in context. 50$ marine fragrances do this same DNA with better performance. 7.5/10 alone, 5/10 considering price

Millesime Imperial might be the best-smelling warm weather fragrance from Creed, and also one of the best smelling freshie niches as well. It smells like a citrus juicy watermelon with hints of leather, which is welcome. I like this scent over Virgin Island Water, which influencers hail as the best warm-weather Creed. Whether anyone can actually smell the scent because the sillage seems to be weak, is a question for the fragrance experts. I will still wear this regardless because it makes me feel a certain way. Edit: Well, I wore my 1 year old bottle out today. smashed it on my skin around noon and the whole scent is basically non-existant by evening, without even a subtle skin-scent. gorgeous scent, but i'm not sure if i can recommend this if you need you fragrance to last for more than just a few hours.

I really wanna love it, but this is totally trash. The scent is gone immediately. No sillage or scent trail at all. Pure waste of money.

I used up a couple of sprays on my arm and a few on a tester strip at the mall a few days ago. Unfortunately, I could barely smell anything after taking some deep whiffs. I'm not trying to exaggerate. I get some super faint salt and fruit notes, but that's about it. In my opinion, it does not justify the $250+ MSRP, I would go out and test stuff like Torino 21, 40 Knots, and Nio. I like Creed, but they just don't really last.

Very weak. Poor longevity and essentially no sillage. Not recommended at any price let alone the premium the Creed name commands.

8.5/10. Love the scent it's very safe and sophisticated. To me it literally smells like dollar bills in an slight aquatic tone. Just poor silage and longevity on my skin Maybe 2-3 hours top.

This was my first niche fragrance back in 2010. I adored it and it was my favorite fragrance ever. MI has changed over the past 15 years. It used to be more of a fruity, citrusy, fresh, aquatic fragrance. Nowadays it leans more into the iris and cedar notes. But that's not the reason why I fell in love with MI. I fell in love with the super fresh salty melony aquatic scent. The iris is overbearing and dominates the fragrance. It was a nice accent in small amounts, but I feel like it clashes with the fragrance now. And let's be real; what companies call cedar and musk is largely just Iso E Super. Which is a totally fine ingredient, and part of many fragrances. But I'm going to need more than just that be impressed with a fragrance, especially at this price point. I've switched to Armaf's Milestone, which is not perfect; I don't want to oversell it. But it's closer to that super fresh melony aquatic scent that I fell in love with, than current-day MI.

this is very nice yes but you can save a fortune by just buying Armaf Club de nuit milestone, it’s like 80-90% similar and better longevity and projection, and only 30-40$, this lasts maybe like 4 hours if you’re lucky on skin. old batches are amazing tho ifykyk
