White Rice

Rice and orris. I like in theory, but I wish it would last more than 30 minutes.

i liked this at first, it reminded me of growing up in singapore somehow, but then the more i wore it the more nauseating it became and it started to smell kind of basic and chemical forward.. doesn't smell like rice at all.

Kind of smells like rice, but not quite. Musky, ambroxan-type smell. Completely gone in 20 minutes. Poorest longevity I’ve ever encountered in a perfume

I was looking so forward to this, but I am not a fan. The opening is harsh and has a highly synthetic aerosol-like quality. The dry down improves and the rice and pandan starts to come through and I like these notes, but —to my nose—the overall composition of this fragrance is not good. So far it’s 0/2 with this brand’s fragrances. The matcha one also disappointed me. Edit: Ok, so this is nice an hour in! The opening is horrible. Still won’t purchase.

Smells like a creamy hairspray on me, which is not a bad thing as I LOVE the smell of hairspray. It reminds me of childhood dance recitals--so comforting, clean, and sweet while also not doing too much. Similar to Glossier You but without the pencil shaving smell. This is much much softer IMO & I can see this being someone's signature scent year-round. This is similar to Diptyque L'eau Papier as well, but less sweet and musky and lasts a bit longer on me. Will likely purchase a bottle sometime in the future :)

White rice does not have a smell (to me). I think this fragrance more implies the feeling of white rice. This scent is hard to describe due to its simplicity, however it is a pillowy, soft and clean musk, with a hint of a skin smell too. The projection and longevity is poor, little to no projection. Someone really nearby you could pick up on the scent. Overall, a really enjoyable scent., and perfect for when you do not want to smell like a traditional fragrance. 7.6/10

Unisex, leaning slightly masculine. Smells very fresh, clean, and earthy/comforting.

I imagine this being nice for winter, or an environment that's a bit wet and grey. Honestly a nice "popping into the office" scent, but I live in California, and this feels out of place in the good weather (lol ❤️) Really nice though, completely unisex (isn't everything but you know what I mean) and generally good. I would say this is a safe blind buy, there's nothing about it that's off putting at all - just a nice, clean, cozy, scent. I agree with other comments I wish the rice was stronger! I want to smell the steam when you open the rice cooker!!!

I wanted to love this but I think that on the opener it smells like dousing myself with a bottle of sake. It makes sense that a white rice scent combined with the alcohol of the perfume when opening would smell like sake, but for some reason it just never occurred to me that it would. I like the drydown better but not enough to wear it. I think this just doesn’t like my skin.

I absolutely adore this one. it’s pillowy soft, fluffy, cozy rice/pandan top. the orris kind of sits in the corner of the fragrance, i get more jasmine heart notes. it’s very raw and the ideal skin/layering scent. Delicious!

Yeah I love this. The orris is very prominent and makes it very comforting, and it's like you have a bowl of fresh flufiy white rice in front of you. Everytime I smell orris I think of Glossier You. This is cozy and musky and smells like a hug on a cold day. 8.5/10

Could just be on my skin, but for me the drydown has this acidic/sour smelling stage mid-way through? The opening does smell a bit synthetic as well. Had better success spraying this on fabric than on skin, and it pairs well with Lavande Blanche.

I came back to this after dismissing it for a couple of years and am enjoying it immensely. It’s a powdery soft and cozy bedtime scent for me. I can pick up all the notes listed, and the addition of pandan brings me back to my time in Thailand, which I love. I struggle with musks going detergent on me, so when I find a nice and clean musky scent that doesn’t go screechy Tide on me, I celebrate.

This smells so cozy, though I wish the rice scent was a little stronger. The scent almost reminds me of a hotel lobby.

I honestly thought White Rice was overrated. After hearing so much hype, I expected it to be just another fragrance people were exaggerating about. I couldn't have been more wrong. What stands out immediately is how effortlessly it captures the scent of clean skin. This isn't a loud fragrance that demands attention. Instead, it draws people in. It has a refined, understated elegance that feels both clean and quietly seductive. The longer it sits on my skin, the better it gets, becoming warmer and even more addictive. I completely understand the hype now. White Rice proves that a fragrance doesn't need to be complex or overpowering to leave a lasting impression. If you appreciate soft musks, clean skin scents, and the comforting creaminess of rice, this is absolutely worth experiencing. 8/10

This is airy, buttery, creamy with a bit of rice notes. It's not cloying or sweet. I find the scent smooth, calm, soft and comforting. When I sprayed this on skin, I immediately got 22 Orris by Ledda vibes. I think this is unisex and can be used any time of the year. I just think having this and 22 Orris is kinda redundant.

it smells more like a powdery and dry uncooked rice than a steamy, soft, and ready-to-devour rice. i had higher expectations for this..

The opening smells like toasted, uncooked rice. Dry and nutty. When I sample a rice fragrance I'm expecting - or at least hoping for - a steamed, cooked, fragrant white rice, soft and gentle. Or even rice milk. This is NOT it. Then the drydown is just sharp white musk. It's inoffensive and minimal but it's not for me.

i genuinely could not smell it very much on strip or skin 😭 im sure its nice but i couldn't get anything!

This is my Empty-Bottle Follow up Review: Okay, okay, she evokes a particular memory for me of my older sister in the 90's. Mind you, she's 10 years older than me and GORGEOUS. I was reminded of the way I thought growing up would feel. Like growing up, falling in love, becoming a woman; all of that is wrapped up in this memory. Definitely NOT a gourmand. Don't come around here looking for something sweet and savory. She smells musky and milky smooth in that way that reminds me of cocoa butter. Highly recommend for those who like clean (not laundry) and musky (like skin).

So good so yummy. Really reads like buttery popcorn in a soft way. Dries down to a soft rice smell❤️ like over mushy rice or 누룽기❤️❤️❤️

It's giving less white rice and more like laundry, leather, and a man's clean skin.

To me this evokes Missing Person, and adds whatever milky sparkle they put in Delina Exclusif to set it apart from OG Delina. No, I don’t mean this smells like rose and lychee. It just has a jaminess to it. Not sure if it’s a love yet. The dry down is starting to bore me. But I can confidently say I like it. It’s a comforting clean jammy scent.

The initial spray remind me of Glossier You and the dry down kinda reminds of Desert Dawn by Byredo.

Sharp chemical opening that is not unpleasant, followed by a very nice dry down of soft powder. The scent does not last however and I do not think it really gives rice

decent, does its job but nothing more. Just smells like hot or cold porridge.

God this is SO good. If it wasn't so expensive I would have bought it months ago. Ultimate comfort ricy sweet soft scent
