Fève Délicieuse

Fève Délicieuse is too powdery. Somehow it also reminds me of a swiming pool, but not in a good way. Maybe like the locker room that's kind of gross and musty?

One of the less appealing entries in the Dior Privée line for me personally. Its strengths are easy to recognize. The blending is very smooth, the sweetness is handled cleanly, and nothing feels rough or unfinished. On skin, the opening shows a dark vanilla accord with traces of smoke and liquor, layered with a touch of herbal greenery and a faint coolness reminiscent of anise or licorice. That detail separates it somewhat from standard vanilla gourmands, though at the same time it makes the structure feel slightly unfocused. The main issue is that, despite being refined, it never becomes truly memorable. To put it directly, there is almost no lasting identity. Longevity and projection are also relatively restrained, with very little scent trail. The drydown is probably the most pleasant stage. The fragrance softens into a creamy amber sweetness built from vanilla, caramel, tonka bean, and a faint powdery nuance. It smells good, but still remains difficult to remember. The overall impression feels strangely familiar, as though similar variations already exist everywhere. For someone who owns more than a thousand fragrances, this kind of scent ends up feeling too ordinary. Pleasant but unremarkable. After this release, I stopped buying from the Privée collection altogether.

While is could be a nice powdery perfume why did they needed to go into the baby powder baby wipes, direction? I do not understand this perfume and is hard to wear since you can feel the diaper smell I to this one and not even a clean one. I pass. Waste of my money. No wonder is discontinued. I would not purchase again.

So sad this is discontinued. One of the best fragrances that I’ve owned. My art teacher once said it reminds him of his father’s cherry tobacco he used to smoke in a pipe. It’s that. Sweet enough, boozy enough. Everything is so well balanced. I hate cherry scents and yet I love this one so much 10/10

One of the best tonka and gourmand perfumes ever!

It's a crime that this was ever discontinued...

I really don’t understand the hype around this one. The opening is aggressively old-fashioned.. a powdery, leathery cherry that feels chaotic rather than edible. The drydown is much nicer but I can’t imagine sitting through that opening long enough to enjoy it. Labeling this as one of the best gourmands ever is honestly baffling to me.

I have to say this is the best Gourmand scent I have ever tried. It is absolutely amazing, it has all the notes I like. Sweet, powdery, bozzy, attractive and always impresses people. I always get asked: “What scent do you wear that is so amazing?”

I love this perfume. It opens up with dark cherry and amber, and some leather ..then warms up to a spicy balsamic vanilla. It lasts beautifully, sometimes in the warm months i feel it projects more and more as the day progresses. For me this is an all season, all occasion perfume thats signature scent worthy. Perfectly unisex.

Modern day Habanita - this is what comes to mind when I wear Feve in the summer. Beautiful, cozy signature scent.

Still can't shake my head around that this masterpiece got discontinued! A shame!

When comparing to a similar tonka scent, this one is maybe feeling less tonka-ish and more powdery amber with a little bit of fruitiness (and be more caramel/praline dominant in behind the scent on my skin) popped in and out. First few months and a year through I was so addicted to this scent and carried out a sample everywhere. However, it made me feel too much appealing or overpowering some, such as never wear before eating food (desert or coffee time is exceptional though). I can feel sick if I would wear this before eating any proper food because of this particular sweetness was leaning pretty much artificial to my nose and not that simple gourmand scent as mixed accords, maybe that’s why. It might turn more classical scent as well so it gets non-easy grabs on a daily basis but I still adore this particular scent it’s empowering me to recall a bit of femininity!

One of my favourites that I keep coming back to as the smell is memorable and a gourmand with being too sweet. Tonka is the star, but it is rounded by the other notes. I like this more than the on tonka extract. I think it’s more wearable. The cherry is more prominent WGS the drydown more wearable. Has a nice powdery texture to it.

Man this opens pretty harsh. Drydown is much much better, turns into a warm spicy caramelly scent. 4/10

Smells like Crayons!

My Christmas in New York scent. Not cozy fireside at home but glittering lights, skyscrapers, snowy sidewalks, and a little black dress layered under a wool or fur coat. A decadent Tonka-forward fragrance with soft hints of cherry, cocoa, and spice, wrapped in a uniquely powdery haze. While some get heavy baby powder from this, my bottle has stayed balanced… sweet, rich, and just the right amount of fluff. It’s like a warm, spiced Tonka cloud with a gourmand touch that never feels cloying when floating in cold air. Not something I would recommend for warmer weather or over-spraying. Discontinued now, so I use it sparingly… but it remains one of my most delicious, beloved cold-weather scents.

So I cannot find Frenetic Deliciouse by Paris Corner here, which is a dupe for this older formula Dior one. And omg it’s fantastic!! All the notes are there and they take you through a beautiful journey… I just have to let it sit a bit more to have longer performance, but it’s a 10/10!!

I have a pre-release 2014 batch and this is a bit different from the last formulations.

I absolutely hated this for a few weeks… but then realised after some time it smelled like solinotes tonka and Bianco latte- Bianco latte being the more gourmand sister. It’s also got a strange new car smell that reminds me of F-in fabulous

This perfume smells sickening unfortunately, it smells so old-fashioned and musty and overpowering and makes me nauseous, it smells like an out-of-date pot-pourri basket of dried flowers that's been left on a windowsill for twenty years and stinks to high heaven, making me think of mothballs and cobwebs.

Love this!!! Lavander up front turning into the most gorgeous tonka. Lasts all day and projects wonderfully. I bought three 250 ml bottles lol

Sorry to be annoying but since Fragrantica doesn’t have Emir Frenetic Delicieuse I will leave my review here for the time being: Ok I’m head over heels for this fragrance. I will say, it smells just like Nail Enamel Dryer in those aerosol cans from the late 90s/early 2000s. I know that sounds kind of strange and off-putting, but it’s truly such a nostalgic scent. It reminds me of being a kid and going to get my nails done with my mom. I definitely get the sour cherry, but it’s very well blended with the other notes. I own Cherry Ambition by the 7 Virtues which has a more photorealistic cherry note, but Frenetic smells entirely different. Perhaps it’s a bit more synthetic and unusual, but there is not even a tinge of cough syrup. Instead, it’s light and airy and honestly something that can probably be worn all year round. I only have a 5ml sample of this, but it is 100% full bottle worthy. If you have a similar childhood experience to me, then I highly recommend getting this to experience that wave of nostalgia and the feeling of blissful ignorance <3

Picked up a 2023 bottle of Emir Frenetic Delicieuse. Not sure how close to the OG but such a lovey and unique scent! Well blended with no harshness at all.

I really don't get the hype. I own this bottle as I collect Dior Privee line. But this smells like a cherry cough syrup to me. It's somewhat boozy, but not the booziness that you get from Lost Cherry by TF. Rather it smells like a nyquil version of that booziness which gets you sleepy. Also I find this quite similar to Gucci EDP which has been discontinued for many years. The powderiness is quite similar and comparable. Drydown is very similar.

I have the Paris Corner Emir, inspired by, version of this, and although I've never tried this one for comparison, I must say I really enjoyed the (PCE) fragrance. It's a beautifully blended gourmond and I felt unique wearing the cozy scent. Definitely NOT an Angel Share or 540 dupe (thank God) which seems to now days be the blueprints for Niche gourmond fragrances. It can be dressed up or down or like me enjoyed in the comforts of your home.
