Pure Poison

Don't know who's the culprit but I was deceived by the notes for this one. It has the things I like but the smell is... old cologne. It's too sharp. Not too bad but it's there to make my day ruined every time I get a whiff of it.

I WISH I loved this because I adore the whole marketing around the fragrance but to me it smells too sharp/cleanex ish. It does last extremely long and my boyfriend does love it more than the usual florals/mossy fragrances I wear

Wearing this, I feel like a teenager with fluffy white leg warmers, walking in the heavy snow to a ballet class. Or a princess in a snowy ice castle in the sky. I did not like it at first spray, it is a bit sharp and "perfumey", but the dry down is a creamy, light white floral. Very etheral.

I recently tried a purple capped, 2017 formulation and was struck by how metallic the musk smelled in comparison to my white capped, 2009 bottle. The white capped versions smell more modern imo.

I was meeting my mother for our usual mother/son lunch at one of her overbearingly hoity toity establishments, and as we performed our version of a hug (a maneuver requiring the illusion of affection while maintaining a two inch barrier of personal space), her eyes lit up. That's usually the prelude to a comment about how I look tired and need better eye cream. But instead, "Oh my, that's nice! It smells like nothing else you wear. It smells very...classy." Thanks, old woman. Anyway, she wasn't wrong. Pure Poison is, against all odds, the exact scent of having your s*** together. It's one of the classiest perfumes you can buy. It's a gorgeous waterfall of white florals. But the jasmine, gardenia, and orange blossom are completely scrubbed clean. Clean, as in surgically clean. It's very standoffish, but somehow still very delicate and wearable. It's perfectly soft and just so elegant. It opens with icy citrus and dries down into a creamy sandalwood. If a perfume were a cashmere sweater, this'd be the one. And the projection is downright perfection. It doesn’t scream for attention like some desperate club hopping fragrance (See: Scandal, Juicy Couture, etc). It has just enough sillage to leave an impression without suffocating the people around you and radiates a sort of unbothered superiority. Perfect for occasions like job interviews, first dates, weddings or putting your passive aggressive mother in a home. I need to be baptized in this stuff.

Poison DNA'sının vintage karakteri bozulmamış, bazı kişilerin bu kokuyu olgun yaşlar için uygun diye yorumlamasının sebebi bu olsa gerek. Fakat Poison serisindeki en modern olan koku bence bu. Aslında bu parfüme elim çok gitmiyor favorim değil ama nedense bir yandan da kendimle özdeşleştiriyorum. Karlı havada buz tutmuş beyaz çiçekleri kokladığınızı düşünün. Sanki gerçekten soğuk ve mesafeli bir havası var. Rüzgarlı ve soğuk havalara çok yakıştırıyorum. Kokuları hiç benzemiyor ama vibe olarak Valaya ile benzetiyorum (Valaya'nın küçük kız kardeşi gibi). Parfümlerde şişe tasarımı kokuyla alakalı çok fikir verir. Pure Poison lila-mor rengiyle kokunun soğuk ve temiz karakterini yansıtırken bir yandan da zehir şişesi tasarımıyla isminin hakkını veriyor. Bu koku bence erkeklerin kadınlarda çok bayılacağı bir koku değil yani erkek burnuna göre tasarlanmamış. Buna önem verip vermemek elbette kullanan kişiye kalmış. Riskli bir koku değil ama migreni olanlar kesinlikle uzak durmalı. Muadili Avon Rare Pearls'ü de denedim, kokuları biraz benziyor ama o daha az keskin ve daha kremsi bir koku diye hatırlıyorum.

The actually mysterious version of Crystal Noir (less pomegranate and less dipper-like). Like an ethereal, elegant witch did laundry. It genuinely so beautiful, one of my absolute favourites.

It doesn't feel like a perfume but an angel sprinkle powder dust on you almost ethereal,my favorite from Dior

The reformulation.... sad

I came across this in 2008, when I bought my first bottle. My first and always reaction to this perfume: ✨ I wanted to rip off my clothes and swing from the chandelier 🤤 ✨I have been through 2 bottles, both were made when they were made right. And...the elixer, that was a disaster, made wrong and those sweet little pump sprayers cause the alcohol to disappear like a ghost. ✨At the time I owned this I also had Jesus Del Pozo In White , in my opinion that was better because it lasted and projected even better. I sadly gave it away, in a frightful moment of decluttering....why have 2 of the same scents? 🤦🏼 Never again shall I be so dumb. ✨Keiko Mecheri ISLES LOINTAINES, a bit weak but lovely.... ✨I saw Bujairami has a dupe which seems to be no where to be found and Fragrance World, which seems questionable. Perfect for summer and winter, it is a stable favorite of mine and I can use it in every occasion. Fresh and clean smell, feminine too! People are always asks about it!

Versatile and elegant

gorgeous! smells like soapy lilacs to me

Straight from the bottle, and for the first few moments on skin, it smells exactly how I'd imagine based on the bottle. It's very elegant, regal even, white flower notes with something dangerous underneath. If it would stay that way on me, I'd love it. However really soon it turns into a harsh generic perfume, where I can't smell any of the notes anymore. Something older women wear, that doesn't really get past the basic tangyness.

I got my hands on an older bottle of this (the one with a white cap) for pretty cheap. It was a partially used 1.7 oz bottle. I was surprised at how similar the reformulation is to this, so I am glad it's not too different. It's a beautiful creamy white floral. I do think the old one is very similar to the new one like I said, there are differences though. The old one has some more depth to it which might make it a bit more polarizing. It also smells more animalic, the new one did not smell as animalic as the old one. The opening is also more fruity and sweeter.

In the beginning it smelled like male cologne on my skin, but couple of hours later it started smelling sweet and soft. I feel like it would suit an elegant lady. I think it wouldn't fit for a party or a chill date with friends. I think it'd fit the sophisticated and classy occasions, like going to museum or watching a ballet concert. I think this perfume is a perfect description of many shades of purple as it opens up. The bottle is a perfect description of how it smells - like a royal queen in purple (the opening notes) and then it turns into a young princess with cute appearance and in lavender dress.

ure 6 and playing with your plushies in ur old cradle that u still want in your room bc u daydream abt it being a castle but then u get bored so you go to your mothers room and borrow it and your brain somehow identifies the bottle as an apple but hey it's the first perfume you have ever smelled so it changes your brain chemistry

I find this so interesting. It’s a chilly white floral, smooth, clean and elegant. I can’t decide whether to buy it or not. There’s something very cold about it, which I’m not sure I love.

I really like this perfume. I mean, I do love white florals, but only when it's really center stage (like it is here). I was honestly expecting something much more like alien. It does have very similar notes after all! It is actually a much more soapy, sharp white floral, with some kind of nice bitterness added to it. I wonder what the original formula smells like. I can only imagine it smelling better than this. So sad I probably will never smell it!
