عطر هي وود من ديسكوارد هو عطر زهريات خشبي رجالي ما كان يفترض أن يكون على خط عظماء الأخشاب الزهرية الرجالية مثل غرين ايريش تويد و فهرنهايت، جاء حقيقة ممل جدا و يفتقد للهوية الواضحة العطر باختصار هو البنفسج مع الأخشاب، عطر خطي بدون تدرج، يثير الاهتمام في أول 10 دقائق بعد رشه ثم تنساه و يتحول لرائحة صناعية، يذكرني قليلا بعطر بوس بوتلد نايت و الذي أفضله كثيرا عن هذا العطر عطر يصلح لمعظم الأوقات خصوصا نهار الربيع و الخريف مع اعتدال الجو الأداء مقبول بثبات يصل ل 5 ساعات و فوحان في أول ساعة التقييم 3.65/5

Gotta say, the name of this one is wildly misleading. I have a sample of this which I've had for ages (at least since before it was discontinued), and I always assumed it would smell like wood, wood and some more wood - potentially some dark wood in the base notes. But boy, was I wrong. The opening is all violets, and that goes on for a while (I'll add to this that I lowkey despise violet, so I'm clearly not qualified to objectively assess whether this opening is acceptible). Once that is over, you'd expect the cedar to really enter the chat, right? But nope. All vetiver and no wood (makes Jack a dull boy). Give it about an hour, and there's a wee bit of amber, but it's mostly just earthy I'd say. And without rating this poorly because of my own personal bias towards violet, I think it's objectively obscene to name a fragrance "he WOOD" and only have 1-2 out of SEVEN notes be wooden. Especially when said wooden notes are so weak. That's a false promise, alright. I get it that violets tend to grow in the woods, that the rooty scent of vetiver and the foresty smell of fir (which, btw, was nowhere to be found when I wore this) would make this a foresty scent. But then call it "he FOREST" or "he WOODLANDS" or something. "he WOOD" is misleading. I'll die on that hill.

My absolute preferred scent. Very sofisticated. I really miss it since discontinued. Original wood is a resemblance.

When they discountinued and reformulated this, I was frankly destroyed as I went through at least 20 bottles of it :-( memorable woody masculine scent, RIP

Performance isn't terrible, it does lack a bit of diversity points, can't really see a good time to wear this honestly, maybe a wedding, if your NOT part of the grooms/bride lineup? It's nothing special, has OK performance, and is shadowed by alot of others. 6/10, good attempt at a floral woody scent, just seems like a selfish scent more then anything.

TL;DR: Not a photorealistic woody fragrance at all, actually a "freshie" with a twist, must like violet, a well-mannered, office-broken Canadian conceptual cousin to Dior Fahrenheit. I was procrastinating the other day and decided to dive into my sample reservoir, as one does. I came across He Wood and remembered my initial disappointment in this one. I was a newbie to fragrance, on a single minded journey to find a true to life, woody/forest fragrance. I was not interested in the nuances at the time...did it smell like a forest or not? That was basically my only question. Revisiting this now....the answer to that question is still no, not really. What it does, and does well in my opinion, is capture an idea of freshness and oxygenated clean air, through it's use of violet and violet leaves. He Wood opens strongly with violets and they are carried through with a lightness until the final base note stages. As the violet recedes in the mid, you can pick up some static-y/prickly "wood" aromachemicals which add some crunch, but never in the life of He Wood, do photorealistic woods actually dominate or stand out. Hence my initial disappointment. The base leaves a faint ghost whisper of the violet, and has a wonderfully smooth skin scent of musk (not an offensive or strong laundry musk) with a very faint sweetness, presumably the amber listed. The overall vibe of this one is actually way more freshie than foresty, but I actually don't mind at all. They achieve this freshness in a way that is unique compared to standard approach of mass-appealing designer freshies, and for that I think this one is a success. It smells fresh and clean, but not like shower get, aquatics, shaving cream, or department store perfume counter. It takes a bit of imagination, but one can conjure up images of standing along a winding forest road, or base of a mountain, with violets littering the forest floor. Taking a deep breath. I'm also reminded of Dior Fahrenheit (although that is leagues above imo) as they are structured somewhat similar with strong violet notes, on top of warm and smooth bases. Fahrenheit packs a bigger punch, is dirtier and rougher with the leather and gasoline, but they strike me as conceptual cousins. Fahrenheit is the rough and tumble American to He Wood's polite, clean, and office friendly Canadian. This is the day to Fahrenheit's night. Fahrenheit beats you up while He Wood asks if you are ok and can I get you some aspirin or something? While this one is discontinued and not worth scalper prices, they did release an updated version which is apparently the same formula in Dsquared2 Original Wood, which I ordered for around $40 USD. If it smells the same (Will update this review upon arrival), I will consider that a bargain and be happy to have in my collection for days I want to smell clean and non-intrusive while maintaining a (if only conceptual) grounding in nature.

I love this fragrance so much. It's the best.

Wow, I really hate this. It smells like an old lady's perfume. It's 100% powdery and feminine, and I feel embarrassed walking around with it on. There's a tiny hint of wood in the background, but the violet overwhelms everything else and makes you smell like a grandmother.

Purchased a sample vial from FragranceNet. Not at all what I expected. Judging by the name of the cologne you would think that this is a wood-forward fragrance with hints of other notes, but I don’t smell any wood at all…. If I do it’s very faint. Absolute violet bomb. Not exactly a bad thing as the leafy notes are very green and refreshing; the violet flower paired with the amber and musk round the scent out very nicely. Sillage is standard, nothing to ride home about and longevity is good. Stayed on me fairly strong for the duration of a work day plus an hour or so, give it 9 hours. Overall a pleasant experience even though it’s not at all what I thought it “wood” be (ok you can downvote me now) 8.3/10

Note of Davidoff cool water

Starts off really good but disappears quickly. No sillage at all. Gave my old bottle to one of my teenage nephews. Let them rock it into the future.

I'm a bit conflicted about this one. When I first put it on you're welcomed by a whole arrange of amazing fresh natural flowery smells. Unfortunately that smell doesn't stay and after a while it turns into a darker more woody smell and it gives me weird vibes (either very relaxed vibes or headaches, both of which I can't really deal with on a daily basis). Might just be me, however. That being said, I do think it's very good quality, it will last you more than the entire day. If you're looking for a natural woody flowery and relaxing smell then this is the one. It just wasn't the one for me probably.

Absolutely love this! Got my partner a bottle 4 years ago. He repurchased it 3 times in a 100ml. Used to be such good value, lasts super long. To me it smells like a summer meadow, surrounded by magical woods, mountains, rivers... its my favourite masculine daytime fragrance ever! Why would they discontinue it? :(

So sorry they discontinued this. And a genuine unisex fragrance that some women could pull off, though it's not feminine to my nose. Until now it's my all time favorite woody fragrance. It really smells to me like wood, but in a tuxedo. Or rather, what wood should smell like. Refined, pure, pristine. My first encounter with ISO super and I enjoyed it so much! Unfortunately it goes for 100-200 USD if you can find a genuine bottle being scalped on E-bay.

A bit sharp, but it's a nice woody fragrance

I love He Wood. I am a woman but I love to put it on. It reminds me of Balenciaga Paris, but with a sporty side. Where Balenciaga Paris makes me feel meditative and puts me in a mood for contemplation He Wood gives me a burst of energy and makes me want to do a lot of things one after the other. I love the violet note which prevails all along from the moment I put it on to the point in which it fades away. I love He Wood for its green and slightly bitter background. A very unusual fragrance, especially on a woman.

Comfort in a bottle. Something about the He Wood DNA just satisfies me in a fundamental way. A floral, woody everyday reach. Not the sweetest, not the loudest, but maybe one of the most fascinating. Such a shame this line was discontinued. Very grateful to have recently found an affordable 100ml of this.

The brief top notes of He Wood are a powdery musky floral with a vanillic nuance which bring to mind a lighter, masculine version of Apres l’Ondee without the iris. The vanillic nuance drops away and the musk recedes and now we have the star of He Wood: watery violets and violet leaf on a woody (Iso-E-Super - and lots of it), subtly salty (vetiver) background. The terpenes here are sharp and synthetic, so don’t expect a natural-smelling conifer forest. He Wood thrums along for much of the day with little projection. Sillage, however, is excellent and this would make a great room or clothes spray, with the scent lingering much longer than expected. Whether you like He Wood will turn on what you think of the violet note in perfumery: if you’re a man and can’t shake the association of a violet-centric fragrance being for older ladies, it may not be for you, and if you’re looking for something with the woody notes front and centre in the DSquared2 line try Rocky Mountain Wood, which is faithful to the smell of wet sawdust. As it stands, I really enjoy He Wood and actually prefer it to the more popular Rocky Mountain Wood, which has a pepperiness that stings the nostrils: it’s a cool, light and refreshing daytime fragrance and a great alternative to the more ubiquitous summer citrus fragrances for men.

I like this fragrance to me it is semi sweet and woody and warm with violet leaves being the most dominant note but there is a big mistake that they added citrusy Vetiver it killed the composition. Although the Vetiver note settles down but to me the fragrance could be executed in a better way. Scent 9/10 Longevity 10/10

A aromatic that hails back to vintage fragrances with lavender and violet. Overall this is understated and masculine with 5 hours longevity and fair projection, but poor sillage I have trussardi my land , which performs better and has more of and edge Rocky mountain wood has more of a base and better performance than the original here not bad, but not great in my opinion could be a great casual fragrance for a 30 plus man at discounted prices

sheer brilliance, original, refreshing, outdoorsy..mix of pure wood smell in forest and saw dust with violets up top...clean and masculine.for outdoor activities like logging, camping,hiking, work, trekking...this is an ideal scent.in the summers day it lasts 4/5 hours...but in cooler spring days i got up to 7 hours...projection isnt bad also...this sits right behind rocky mountain wood for me...so good to smell....not synthetic or cheap...niche quality juice. 8.5/10 for me.a must try

I hated what I smelt initially but as it sat on my skin it turnd into something beautiful. it's absolutely fresh and calming. I wouldn't recommend it for closed settings though, I find it to be more suitable for outdoors. but it's really nice anyway, something unusual, you should give it a try, especially if you enjoy violets.

Fragrance -He Wood DSQUARED² Bottle from - 2016 This is a spiritually elevating,calming,peaceful,woody and a bit green take on violet.Each time I smell He Wood,I'm instantly transported to a violet fields.I kinda like this one. Longevity - 6/10(6+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 1-2 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -For more or less any time of year.Best in early autumn,spring and summer.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really cold winter days. Age - 18+ Compliments - 7/10 Scent - 7,5/10 Main notes according to me - violet,violet leaf,cedar,fir,musk. The drydown is woody,musky,powdery and a bit green and I get some -cedar,green notes,vetiver and musk. Emotions - violet fields,calming,peaceful,spiritually elevating. Occasion -perfect for casual activities,college and office. He Wood is a safe choice for everyday wear.

I thought it reminded me of the sorely-missed Kenzo Air when I sampled it at the department store. After some wears, I noted something was off until someone pointed out that it smells like Magic Marker - It is artificial and extremely sweet. I would avoid.

Expectations are always coupled with disappointments when they are not met! That's why I always allow fragrances to surprise me,as a result,I love and like everything in my collection. This scent is great,violets and wet or green wood similar to what you would get pruning a lush green tree branch. The wood is there,just not as dry as we're accustomed to in perfumery. Wonderful performance, very uplifting scent. This is aromatherapy, isn't this the reason why we are fragrance junkies?

Smells old. The powdery notes makes it feel almost like a dusty grandma-perfume. I have a hard time with violet notes in general, it gives some kind of powdery-meets-liqoricue smell that I can't stand. I hate when my boyfriends wears this.

Lame. Smells like flowers and distinctly NOT wood. I was excited but my faith in the reviews here was unfounded
