Its totally gorgeous. It has always reminded me of a lemony (instead of peachy) version of My Burberry Black (MBB is my top favorite perfume in a collection of hundreds) Someone once said its very similar to the elusive snd pricey MBB Elixir, a parfum i regretfully never got my hands on. Ive had my bottle for several years and its getting low. I will definitely be buying another bottle of both this and Nuit Noor. (They are similar but nowhere near the same.) Maceration only made it better. I need very little of it and it lasts and projects. I get raving compliments every time i wear it. When i first got my bottle it did not last at all. Now, years later, its incredibly concentrated and long lasting.

Similarly to Le Parfum In White, one-year maturation pulls out a disturbing patchouli note from it, which was previously perfectly blended in and not disruptive to the composition. I loved it and now I’m worried in which direction it is going.

Hermes Barenia is a more luxurious version of this perfume

It's too woodsy

I sprayed this on during lunch and returned to the office, a polished, professional space where suits are the norm. My usual work fragrances are Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, Chanel Beige and Hermès Merveilles — understated, elegant... The reaction was immediate. Heads turned, and someone bluntly asked what had happened to me, saying I smelled cheap. I sheepishly scampered off straight away to wash it off. Subtlety is not part of this fragrance’s vocabulary. It feels as if it was formulated with a megaphone, projecting its most garish notes at full volume. I do not believe in wasting perfume, so I now use it to scent the garbage room in my building.

Heavy, woody, with a sharp citrus opening that really cuts. This is what I would picture a distinguished elder woman would wear at a black-tie event.

Too much finger nail polish remover patchouli. No thanks. You can smell it top to bottom.

I don't know what makes designer perfumes have that distinct smell (By designer smells I mean like Jimmy Choo's I Want Choo Forever & Gucci's Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense) but this has that same quality. Not a bad smell, but I've smelled better perfumes in my time. I'm not even sure to do with that designer smell by the way if it's a note or a lack of quality smell but once you start sniffing niche perfumes, you'll go back to these scents and know exactly what I mean

Is this a softer version of Elie Saab Nuit Noor? I have that one and it was a blind but and while I like it i think it’s a tad too strong. Too much. Not for me bc i like it but it’s one of those I’m afraid others around me will find repulsive. I love Chanel coco mademoiselle and i have Elie Saab le parfum. I don’t have this one and i wish i had gotten this one instead of Nuit Noor. Nuit Noor is on my Mercari if someone wants me. I may have taken it down and put it up and taken down again bc I’m so undecided as to weather i should keep it or not. I like the scent but i feel like I’m never going to wear it. But can anyone say if this is similar to that one but less intense?

the name checks out!

Honestly I’m really not sold on this one. My mum bought it for me for Christmas after she couldn’t find Girl of Now and I was all set to try it as I LOVE Girl of Now but it is just such a jarring smell. I can see why people like it because I’m not opposed to citrus or earthy, musky scents but this one bypasses all of that and becomes chemically for me. It smells like very nice hand sanitiser. I’m probably just too much of a sweet vanilla girly at heart but this one wasn’t for me. It is long lasting and I’m sure it could be loved by the right person but just not my favourite scent!

Reaching in the back of my armoire I pulled this gem out! As a reviewer below stated sweet creamy rose and that it is! I love this for the winter season as it projects beautifully in the cold! Once dry down happens I can see where some get it can morphe into PR Fame. At first I did not like it but after waiting for cooler weather it has now become a fave. Recommended 8/10. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

I don't know if it's just me, but the notes of this fragrance kinda don't represent it at all (Maybe just the roses). This smells very similar to Rabbane Fame while it dries down. I really liked this one it doesn't smell like anything mainstream in terms of female fragrances.

Blind buy as it was on a discount, my best blind buy so far! 😍 At first spray the citrus notes are very outstanding, but the rose note is also noticeable. It dries down to a more dominant smell of roses mixed with woody, warm notes, and in my opinion slightly spicy. In the end there is a wonderful mix of wood, roses and a hint of vanilla that gives it a light, powdery scent, not to sweet. The wooden notes makes it more elegant. The sillage is not to heavy but stay on your skin for a loong time... This is a scent for a lady, at least I feel like a woman with style and class who takes most things with a raised calm and a cool smile. Daytime, nighttime, or at work doesn't matter. I just love this scent, it makes you feel just - royal

Creamy, sweet rose on a woody base with a slight tang. it reads as an expensive hair conditioner and I LOVE IT. It's clean girl vibes with a bubbly personality. this works the best in cold weather as everything blends into a lovely balance of fresh, floral and vanilla. I spray it on my arms and not on my neck because of its potency. I get whiffs of this beauty for hours. A total hit for me <3

Although there is almost zero overlap of notes, this reminds me strongly of Decadence by Marc Jacobs. I love them both.

Анонім★★★★★

No one said this to me but it smells so powdery. Smell is so nice, elegant and fresh but it is also for older ages, I think. I may think about buying this after my 40's, also may be a nice gift for moms-aunties

I have tested it in perfume store, I was heard that this perfume inspired by "Princess Haya bint Al Hussein" , so I was curious to know this fragrance. This Perfume very suitable for a special occation, or needs a diffrent specific mode to wear it or needs woman love the heavy strong perfumes. This perfume not sharp but it has unique, rare, majestic and very strong mature dry down. Patchouli here is not noisy, but well mixed with Amber and other ingrediants, you will get intensive luxury fragrance. This perfume deserve it's name "Royal". Sure it's lasts long. I like to own this perfume one day.

The color of the packaging and the name gave me the vibe of irritating conservative royal protocols , I thought this would smell like depressing classyness, yet to my surprise this represents a young princess. She’s beautiful, youthful , happy “royal” girl who is ready for her role to rule. This smells like happy orange colored fruits mixed with roses , vanilla and patchouli to add depth, maturity and class.

This is a safe for work scent. Nothing outrageous or bombing on other people's senses. Just safe. Having said that, I don't enjoy this fragrance. Its patchouli note is too earthy and prominent for me. That strong patchouli note doesn't last long thankfully after the initial sprays (maybe 5 or 10 mins?) depending on how much you sprayed. Its still just too long for me though. Yuck. It becomes a citrus and floral mix with slight tones of the patchouli in the background. It evolves into a smell that's reminiscent of fragranced laundry washing powder. It's just mehhhh. I gave my big bottle away a few years ago and kept a 10ml decant as a reminder in moments like now. Nothing has altered in my opinion. Elie Saab has way better scents than this one.

I haven’t checked Elie Saab fragrances for a hot second - could anyone tell me when did it all go wrong? This one is just flat and rather unexciting. Fruitiness that turns into a washing powder. Yet, it’s so sweet and headache-inducing that I’ll think twice before wearing it out. Mandarine orange gives it a bit of a punch, but more fruity-juicy-Escada-esque punch, rather than a citric note of delight. A commenter below was spot on comparing it to dried apricots. Pass for me.

Анонім★★★★★

I smell only stewed fruit, orange juice concentrate, and patchouli. I can't smell any rose or neroli. I think this belongs to the fruitchouli category, which never works for me. If you love that perfume genre, you might enjoy this. It's softer and better blended than other fruitchoulis I've tried.

A sophisticated, elegant scent. Politely lingering close to the skin, not to breach the rules of savoir-vivre and overwhelm those around. It carries a note that can be described as "royal." The scent is balanced, subdued, and smooth. It goes beyond purely floral tones. Mature.

Has this fragrance been discontinued because I no longer see it in the high street retailers? In any case, I have just sprung for another large bottle online - as large as I can find - because I love it so much. I know the notes say orange, but my overall experience is one of dried apricots, which I ate as a child and still love eating. While it smells great all year round, and is one I always get compliments for, to me it really comes alive in winter. I particularly love wearing it at Christmas time when the the rich apricoty fruitiness reminds me of eating dried fruits, nuts and dates during the festive season. On a personal note, I bought this as a blind buy because Elie Saab Le Parfum is one of my all-time favourites however it's nothing like the original. I got lucky with this one because I have also bought another more recent flanker without testing and was disappointed with that one. I advise testing before purchasing if you can because this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Анонім★★★★★

Probably the first Ellie Saab Le parfum flanker I would consider buying! It’s very elegant without and classy without being old fashioned and white-floral heavy like all the other Le parfums. I had the OG Le parfum and gave it away. I just couldn’t stand it and it gave me a major headache every time I wore it. Since then I’ve stayed away from this line. Happy to find a flanker that I like.

This is the perfume I've been eyeing on for years and finally been able to purchase it! First of all, from the box to the bottle, everything is so lovely about Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal. From the box alone, you can already smell it. That's a first time encounter for me. The scent is my absolute love! It's a combination of candied mandarin oranges, jammy rose and amber, strengthened by patchouli. Royal, true to its name. The performance is amazing as well. This stayed on my dress even after laundered. Also on the day I wore this, the scent transferred to the top I changed into, 8 hours after I sprayed it and it lingered on this top too. Please, don't blind buy this, especially if you think this will be closely-related to Elie Saab Le Parfum (original) because they don't. Either get a sample or get a decant of its dupe, Lattafa Mazaaji, to test it on yourself first. But if you love Chanel Coco Mademoiselle like I do, you'll enjoy this one too.

This is a new favorite! At first spray all I can smell is honey and rose up front with patchouli and vanilla in the background. It took quite a few wears to distinguish this because it is so well blended together. I am surprised honey is not listed in the notes. The honey note here definitely reminds me of the honey in the original…. But stronger and sweeter. This is a rich and deep fragrance yet it somehow retains some of the effervescence of the original. Hubby loves when I wear it. I always think twice before buying patchouli perfumes because it has a tendency to dominate the fragrance. While it certainly is detectable throughout each stage of this perfume, it does not steal the show but compliments it. If you like the original but want something bolder, give this a try.

Анонім★★★★★

I regret buying Coco Mademoiselle Intense and wish I had gotten this scent instead. Not only is it less expensive, it is also less overwhelming, smells slightly more youthful, and it has the same warm, luxurious, elegant aura about it that initially attracted me to Coco Mademoiselle Intense. I love the original Elie Saab perfume, and I really like this one too, it is different…it feels somewhat Chanelesque, maybe it’s the sweet oranges + patchouli combo. Perfect for cold weather.

Анонім★★★★★

Le Parfum Royal has a very medicinal rose note and a strong patchouli to pair alongside. The mandarin orange from the top note smells very sharp and feels sickly sweet. And I love sweet scents… Not my cup of tea but it’s strong and it might be someone else’s. A very mature scent. This is an acquired taste type of scent.
