Good but doesnt compare to Ganymede

The performance is really nuclear, never seen something as long lasting and radiating for hours like this since MFK BR540, and this is in the summer heat. I still find it a bit too synthetic and the wood smells uncanny valey but it is absolutely money worth if you are into the scent.

Bois Impérial has reminded me that being experienced in this hobby doesn’t necessarily mean your taste has finished developing. Before buying it, I read countless descriptions and went into this expecting there was a good chance it simply wouldn’t be for me. My first spray seemed to confirm that. I didn’t like it. It initially struck me as too sharp, austere and mature—even at 42. But once this masterpiece settles, something happens that I don't think its usual list of descriptors adequately communicates. The sharpness becomes freshness. The dryness becomes elegance and sophistication. The mineral quality gives it this incredibly clean, modern texture, while the woods provide enough depth and presence to keep it from feeling thin or generic. Perhaps this is one of the more valuable lessons I've learned after years in this hobby. Beginners can fall into the trap of chasing what they're told is good, but experienced collectors can fall into a different trap: believing we already know exactly what we like. Sometimes we don't. Taste develops. Your palate expands. Things that once smelled strange can eventually smell beautiful, provided you give them enough time to understand them. For me, Bois Impérial is a superb, masterfully developed creation and has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances in my collection.

Bois Imperial feels green, woody and a little spicy, but for me the basil note is what makes it truly special. It always takes me back to Corniglia, in Cinque Terre, where I once had a sandwich with fresh basil, and somehow that memory fits this fragrance perfectly.

This is a crisp, airy, and effortlessly sophisticated modern staple. It opens with a bright hit of peppered herbs and dry Akigalawood before settling into a smooth, diffusive dry woody aura. Instead of sitting heavy on the skin, it floats around you like a cool woody breeze, delivering exceptional performance through long days with a refined, structured elegance that punches way above its price point.

I’m always very close to liking this but I can never quite cross the line. One of Bisch’s better fragrances, and the freshness is modern and somewhat beautiful, but always leans a little bit sterile when I smell it. It comes so close to feeling futuristic and green, but normally ends up smelling something like the freshness of new ikea furniture when I go in too close. Interesting and more appealing than Ganymede, and a reference point as far as Akigalawood perfumery goes. C+

Bois impérial from Essential Parfums perfumed by Quentin Bisch is a fragrance with a rather simple note breakdown but in true Bisch form it is turned into something beautiful. I truly appreciate the simplicity of this fragrance along with the scent it produces. A fresh everyday scent that has a bit of green to it from the addition of thai basil that is rounded out by grapefruit facets attributed from the timur pepper. The Akigalawood makes this very diffusive which we know is something Bisch's fragrances are known for. This truly a timeless fragrance that is so easy to wear and a good value for the money. Quentin Bisch strikes again!

I finally get my bois d’argent, after few minutes trying to figure out what other fragrance this reminds me of, then I get it, it has some luxurious mosque fragrances vibes

at first this smell okay. woody and sharp smell that brings to mind fragrance sticks. the thing is you don't want this smell on you for hours on end, gets old really fast for me

Although I love it and receive positive compliments, my nose unfortunately gets used to this fragrance very quickly. I only perceive it during the opening notes, but after that, it fades away rapidly.

First off, the projection wow. I got a sample of this and sprayed it once on my arm and my girlfriend could smell it projecting from underneath my hoodie. I really enjoy the opening smells hyper masculine woods and green, but not too keen on the dry down which for some reason reminds me of liquorice? never the less really impressive scent for those who will get away with it!

ما معنى عطر? و ما هو الخط الفاصل بين التركيبة التي تستحق مسمى عطر و التركيبة التي ربما كان يجب أن تكون معطر ملابس بالنسبة لي العطر هو نوع من الفن مثله مثل الموسيقى و الأفلام، يتغير الذوق العام خلال الفترات المختلفة و غالبا ما يكون الترند الجديد محل نقمة من عشاق الفترات السابقة، و أنا أحد الناقمين على عطور اليوم العطر فن يوصل احساسا أو فكرة أو يحمل رمزية معينة، له جوانب نظيفة و أخرى ثقيلة، أحيانا منعش و أحيانا كئيب و لكن يجب أن يكون له شخصية الترند الحالي بالعطور النظيفة (سوبر نظيفة) بالنسبة لي هو مسخ لفكرة العطور، أستطيع تفهم معظم العطور الجديدة و لماذا تنجح لأنها لا تزعج أحدا و ترضي الغالبية خصوصا ممن هم ليسوا بعشاق للعطور، و لكنها عطور ذات بعد واحد و بلا شخصية، عطور ترسم صورة النظافة و لا غيرها، عطر يخاف أن يكون عطر، يكاد لا يختلف عن معطر ملابس أو غسول جسم، لا أستطيع أن أحب هكذا عطور عطر اليوم بوا امبريال هو عطر زهري معدني خشبي يميل للطابع الرجالي، هذا العطر بالنسبة لي هو مسخ لعطر تيري هيرمز، يأخذ الجانب الزهري المعدني مع القاعدة الخشبية و يضاعف الشق المعدني عشرات المرات، و يتخلص من الجانب الحمضي و الفلفل السويتي، عطر بنصف روح و ربما بلا روح النوتة المعدنية في العطور الرجالية بالنسبة لي ليست سيئة اذا ما كانت جزئا بسيطا من العطر و ليست جوهر العطر كما هنا، النوتة المعدنية تعطي انطباع بالنظافة مثل الملابس المكوية حديثا، المشكلة أنك سرعان ما تفقد شغفك بها و تصبح مملة لأنها لا تتطور و لا تتغير، اعتماد العطر على هذه النوتة المعدنية يجعله أحادي البعد بشكل لا يصدق و مملا بمجرد أن تنقضي أول نصف ساعة من استعماله لا أعرف كيف وصلنا إلى هنا، من حقبة كانت تبدع كورس و فهرنهايت و جاز إلى حقبة الترند فيها هو النظافة و عطور معطرات الملابس التي تسيطر على السوق و ترسم انطباع هذا الجيل العطرية يناسب الأجواء المعتدلة خصوصا الربيع و الخريف، للاستعمال الرسمي و الكاجوال الأداء جيد بثبات يصل ل 8-10 ساعات مع فوحان في أول ساعتين التقييم 3.65/5

The most complimented scent I've ever owned. Originally, I didn't like it. I felt like the opening was too basil focused and smelt like a tea-garden. The shop owner then said, "Let's go outside. I'll spray it on you there and let's see what you think." My god it was a completely different experience. We're so used to smelling scents indoors, but the true profile really comes out when we're outside. It was incredible! I bought it there and then. Since then, I've had so many people (all of them women, no men yet) ask what I'm wearing because they love it. It's a strong performer. I was at a dinner party and someone from a good 5 metres away asked, "What smells so amazing?" She spent ages trying to figure it out. Then a gust of wind brought my perfume over to her and she said, "You! What are you wearing?" For the rest of the night, it kept performing and getting compliments. I've gone through a whole bottle since March (it's currently July). This is my signature scent and goes well for any occasion.

I was making research for my friend who said he can not feel the scent and I knew its cuz of nose-blind so looked here with ctrl+f "nose" and everyone saying they are nose-blinded :D I've never seen that many same comment before. So for the curious people, I dont know the smell yet but it seems you need to stay away just cuz of that maybe..

This is stong Sognio Naturno for me by Brunello Cucinelli, Bish copied paste Bois Impérial Essential Parfums but in Brunello version he made it less strong and not that spreading

This is an absolutely stunning fragrance with a real "wow" factor and something truly magical about it. It has this irresistible quality that keeps drawing me back to it time and time again. After being without it for a while, it's finally back in my collection, and this time I'm certain it's here to stay. 😊 Even though it's become quite popular and a lot of people wear it these days, I still don't think it's overplayed. It always—always turns heads. The scent trail is simply incredible, filling the air and even outdoor cafés with its beautiful presence. That's exactly why it keeps winning me over, again and again. 10/10 for both the scent and the performance!

My recent purchase has massive sillage when sprayed in Air but very moderate on skin & clothing. Very weird.

I understand many people like this. I dont despise it, but the combonation of the akigala wood, basil, and vetiver when dried down on my skin smells like plastic. In theory its a good smell, but if you take a step back to think if its actually a pleasing scent or "clean" as people describe it, its just not either of those things. I will say on clothing it smells fantastic. But skin is no bueno.

The dry down reminds me of bal d’afrique byredo hair perfume but with no sweetness!

One of my favorite scents, so clean and so smoothly crafted. Pure woods but the green notes and basil almost give it a soapy quality too, in a way that compliments the richness of the akigalawood. Very luxurious, masculine-leaning to me but could absolutely be unisex. Compliment machine in my experience too.

A classic scent, interpreted in a (slightly) modern way. Goes mainly into the direction of a fresh citrussy scent but then adds some very light wood to the mix, paired with a hint of green. Highly pleasant to smell. Very, very comforting and, above all, a clean scent without any harshness. Somewhat special since it's neither your typical (herbal, floral or grassy) green scent, neither your typical (lemon, lime or bergamot) citrus scent. And after a few minutes a tiny touch of spiceness make its presense (might be the timur - whatever that is). Projection seems decent, longevity should be good as well. And it seems to be a fully masculine scent to me - I cannot imagine any woman wearing this. For men, however, this serves as a great office scent, dinner or evening scent, or simply as a daily perfume to enjoy. A classy composition that's subtle and intense at the same time, without ever being in your face or aggressive.

Very unique scent I would say. Kinda sinthetic for a niche perfume. Smells like some kind of medicine. I don't get any woody notes.

End game fragrance for introvert woody scent lovers.

Bois Impérial was a blind buy for me off the back of all the hype, and the longer I have it, the more I love it. It smells like pure confidence—fresh, but far from generic. What I really enjoy is that (to my nose) it doesn't directly mimic any exact natural element, yet it still smells entirely natural 😂 'Hi-tech natural' is probably the best way to describe it. Plus, the longevity is rock solid, and the sillage is just wow. Absolutely top-tier work from maestro Quentin Bisch

I was so excited for this after the reading the profile, but smells exactly like a Canadian foaming cleaning product. The name escapes me and it’s killing me. I can’t believe I blind bought a 10ml bottle.

Disappointed to be honest of the smell. Not comfortable to smell in yourself for hours.

Finally got both bottles side by side after going back and forth for months on which to buy. Short answer: buy both eventually, they're not really competing with each other. EDP opens with that Akigalawood brightness everyone talks about, basil and vetiver keeping it clean and a little sharp, timur pepper giving it that tingly freshness. It's confident without trying hard, works at 9am or 9pm. Extrait is a different animal though — pink and black pepper up top, rose absolute in the heart which genuinely surprised me, and then balsam fir and labdanum take over in the base and it goes dark and resinous fast. Way more presence, way more longevity, feels built for October through February rather than year-round. If I had to pick one I'd say EDP is the smarter first buy, more versatile, less commitment. But the Extrait scratches an itch the EDP just can't reach. I run Scent Syndicate (scentsyndicate.com) and we've got both in stock as full-size testers, no retail box but same juice, at a better price than boxed.

A potent vetiver opener with citrus accord, kind of fizzy coca-cola on initial spray. Pine forest with basil, but a bit boring with not much excitment.. its okay for a normal generic SOMETHING instead of wearing nothing. Not bad but very spicy herbal which is not my type, masculine scent. I don't have a problem with it despite not being a lover of vetiver.

Goes in every occasion. Smells fresh out the shower, clean linen. Compliment getter deluxe. Great for layering too!
