Initial impression with my skin chemistry? Upon application I got a niche, up-market version of Antaeus, or even Aramis (I know, right!?), the most faint Bel Ami vibes at times. Drydown settled into an animalic amber. Very 80's. This is not a unique fragrance as it reminds me of so many within the style, but holy hell, it does the 80s powerhouse thing incredibly well and does stand out based on quality alone. Great stuff, but if I'm going for this vibe, I'd rather grab my Bel Ami, niche or not, for half the price.

From initial spray I smell deep, dense, potent dose of pepper and the typical orris root scent, herbal, slightly medicinal Old fashioned scent, reminds me of my grandparents home and nostalgic feelings, but no specific memory. It smells like "back home", with a sweet leather on the dry down. Crazy Longevity but not for me. Gives off a brand new book-paper scent

So here we are once again, all gathered for one reason: Francesca Bianchi. Under My Skin is one of those fragrances that might not win everyone over at first sniff. However, when I wear it, the feeling is different—it sparks a certain curiosity and a hint of mischief. This scent really showcases those leathery and spicy tones, with black pepper coming through strongly at the start. I can definitely see what Francesca means when she talks about it being like a second skin. The leather facet gives that impression of wearing someone else’s skin after a long day’s “Sexual battle.” It’s intimate and somewhat personal—there aren’t a ton of occasions I’d wear it, but I truly enjoy smelling it. It’s something I keep just for the pleasure and that signature Bianchi artistry. I absolutely love the buttery orris note that becomes quite prominent as it develops. It’s not the most versatile fragrance, but it’s one I treasure for the sheer love of the art and that unique Francesca touch.

This is sooooo sexy. It makes your skin smell like it’s been previously warmed up. It’s very alluring and it’s one of my most loved scents. Instant confidence booster

i was so excited for this one, but the opening smells like spoiled wine and i have memories with spoiled wine so i couldn't get further with the middle or base notes. i thought it was the perfume itself that got spoiled but no i guess... edit: my grandmother sacrificed herself to try it on her wrist. at the beginning it was smelling nice from the distance but it had that spoiled wine and puke smell from up close then it became better, sweeter and creamier with time. at this point it needs layering with an another frangrance that has a weak longevity so it can dries down to the middle notes easily. may be good for the first dates.

My first niche and i absolutely love it 10000/10 its buttery sweet its animalic its comforting lasts long and its strong.

The leather is smooth but theres something kind of medicinal going on when you first spray that I’m not fond of - I assume from the lavender and grapefruit. The castoreum is a bit heavy for me. Dirty and skanky and not in some weirdly good way. Theres also a balsamic sweetness that could go well with skanky but just doesn’t. For some reason think of an oil can or oiled leather or oily skin as well. It gets more reasonable/ powdery in the dry down but still not for me

this smells like gingerbread cookies and horse sweat. it’s objectively beautiful but too sweet for me.

The top spicy grapefruit/sweet notes make it an almost slap-in-the-face fragrance, it's incredibly dominating. The unique thing about this fragrance is when you smell it in a very close range, it also smells like skin. In my opinion you'd have to be pretty confident and courageous to wear this in public, as it is really different from any other fragrance. It will definitely give you a presence. It's a work of art, and unique in its combination of notes, making it not the perfect blind buy. I personally like it, but it's not my favorite.

I really want to like Bianchi, but I’m not having much luck. This is really balsam-heavy to me. Something I feel like would be waved around a house to ward off evil. The hunt through the discovery set continues.

This is like reserve privee with that dominant bitter orris note, but made more spicy and leathery giving an ashy tobacco like spice to it!! Super animalic touches. The spicy drydown has a very seductive quality. Loud projection for 5-6hrs.

This is the kind of scent that if you study it closely you might find it scary for wearing in public. But don’t worry in the air to people around you it’s actually quite alluring. I spray stuff on coworkers that volunteer so I can get an idea of how stuff smells as a passerby and this one is a silky purple aura with heavy luscious musks in the base and it radiates like magic.

A dirty leather composition with prominent orris and heavy animalic undertones. The cumin is incredibly intense, almost nose burning. This is absolutely not a fragrance for crowded spaces or public transport. I strongly suggest trying a decant before committing. Even with a decant, I’m not sure I have the courage to wear it.

Carnation, amber, woods. Warm, spicy, creamy, slightly sweet, with a noticeable leather undertone. Very potent and initially a bit overwhelming, but it becomes much more beautiful in the drydown. After several hours it settles into a rich, warm, sensual skin scent. Personally, I find it a bit too leathery compared to what I gravitate toward, but I understand why it’s so loved.

'the' skin scent for sensual little freaks, it's mind blowing how wonderful this smells wears like a dreamy powder with spiced up leathery undertones. sticks around for one (1) eternity which on my skin is extremely high praise perfect, no notes

The first time I smelled this i tested it on my arm and was sort of intrigued but not blown away. I wore one spray on my neck the next day and wore it all day and became completely obsessed. The spiciness, woodiness, and surprisingly the lavender came through the most strongly for me and it was very nostalgic- reminded me of being in a food co-op or health food store as a child, smelling all the bottles of essential oils and hippie soaps. But also something about it is more refined and floaty(?). The second time i wore it (another spray directly to my neck) it went completely powdery and sickly sweet. It was also somehow very cold, not warm/amber at all. I don’t like powder much so this was unsettling and horrible to smell all day. I was so sad that the smell i had loved so much a couple days ago could smell so different and awful. Today i decided to risk it and try one more time. Instead of a spray directly on my skin, I sprayed it into the air in front of me and walked through the cloud a couple times. Also dabbed on a tiny bit of patchouli oil on my wrists to try to bring out that hippie soaps smell. It worked! It’s extremely strong, so i think too much and it becomes powdery on me- lighter application somehow brings out all the spicy and woody and herbal notes on my skin. I’m so relieved that my first wear wasn’t a fluke and i am once again obsessed!

Soft anamalic with a prominent cumin note

At first, I liked the scent from the bottle, although it reminded me of Marc-Antoine Barrois Aldebaran, which I didn’t like at first but later came to appreciate. This one immediately had an erotic, sexual quality, but also felt a little hot and cheap (like a steamy night in Zakynthos or a woman wearing too much animal print). I’ve only tried it once so far, it wasn’t bad at all, but at the same time, it wasn’t groundbreaking.

If "sexy" is automatically shallow to you, I'm not sure that it's others who lack nuance or imagination.... just sayin. I love that FB's perfumes almost exclusively bring to mind.... other FB perfumes. She is one of a kind in today's world, or close to it. I admire her fearless approach, even if she's deeply married to her handful of signature combinations. I think you need to give each of her scents at least 3 good tries to get to your real thoughts. This one I'm not sure about but I found Tyger too "furry". I think this is tamer. Will have to investigate further.

It's a more dense Dans la Nuit by Worth. Pleasantly greasy (intimate) orris, sweet cinnamon.

For sure one of most wearable from Francesca, even for man searching outside all those vintage fragrances. Its a bit oldschool, in more pleasant meaning of those words. Not protruding rose, vanilla, carnation or grapefruit, more of a musky leather (brown leather pipe pouch where tobacco was not stored for a long time) with medium animal undertones - anchored, carnal, lustful old man...Longevity is not the issue here, sillage fades too quickly on me, after 2 hours it sits only directly near my skin.

Under my skin : “Your night’s sacrament the diaphanous rowing beneath your skin a slow madness a dangerous shudder the outside of time.“ If I hear someone say this is “sexy” again I will shoot myself in the brain. People are so fucking shallow. This perfume is a bruise.

A cozy and sensual blend of creamy orris with soft animalic notes and gentle spices. The animalics add character without ever veering into anything sharp or urinous. The result is a beautiful impression of warm skin. Some have compared it to a comforting embrace, and I couldn’t agree more.

Opens spicy, floral, and faintly citrusy. The orris quickly makes itself known, combining quickly with the artfully blended leather (it’s a supportive note), balsamic, sweet, woodsy notes. The costus definitely makes this profile lean to a “warm skin after sex” kind of thing, but it’s pretty neutral—not off putting. I actually expected this to be some sort of feral take on leather, but this is equally as interesting. Overall, an amber forward, light spicy, and powdery frag that has an abstract skin-like facet to it. An interesting concept, but not one that particularly piques my interest.

Love it! Reminds me of horses. Very nostalgic, cause I used to do horseback riding as a kid. I don't find it to be sour. I mostly get animalic, orris buttery, a bit herbaceus wax smell.

Oh how I love this, it melds with my skin so well. I think Francesca Bianchi is brilliant. Her perfumes are unique, original, complex. This is cozy fur on my skin, or rather that my skin is fur, the soft leather hinting through. I don't find this overly animalic at all, just the perfect purr. I find this leans slightly feminine due to how powdery it is (on me anyway, my skin accentuates powder). I don't get any cumin (and cumin is possible my fave note). It's smooth, musky, slightly salty and softly sweet. I also get some subtle smokiness in dry down possibly from the Peru balsam. I'm a smitten kitten.

It probably weird to say this, but this perfume smells like warm skin after sex. I mean, RIGHT after. I can smell the skank, and the sweat mixed in with what would be hints of a balmy spiced, slightly vanilla musk perfume. I was expecting to get something warm and amber-y, but this is an animalic, balsalm-y, musk. I feel it's great when you're not feeling adventurous, and you want to wear a sexy musk. It's definitely a your skin but better scent.

Yes she's that girl. The type to make your eyes roll back into your head. Total nose-gasm.
