Armani Code Profumo

Tried this one a few times over the last couple of months and i just can't get into it. It feels a bit eighties, like Armani were trying to be in the updated Fahrenheit oriental amber gentleman vibe. It starts sharp and i get a kind of red wine opening, settling down into spice.herbs, cardamon feels out of place next to the mandarin and apple sweetness, it turns sour fast and stays sour for hours. Not pleasant. The basenotes of amber and tonka try to rescue it from the overbearing strangulation of the harsh lavender, which seems to cancel out the brightness of the mandarin and apple. It feels a bit rugged and out of harmony. Poorly made, a little confused. Longevity is good, projection/sillage average. Sorry but this just feels badly made and its not for me 5/10

Back in 2021 I wasted my stipend I got for TAing a class on a 6.8 oz bottle of this. Looking back now, greatest investment I ever made now that this shit discontinued lmao. I wear tf out of this during winter. Its such an easy fragrance u can put on when its cold out espeically if your outfits match the kinda style/ vibe of this fragance. Prolly one of my favorites in my collection, I hope they bring it back, but if not I got several more winters and falls this bottle will carry me through.

Sexy powdery cola. Smells great - very Armani - and lasts forever but it does seem dated in 2026. That said, it's an Armani so you'll still smell classy.

I definitely have hated on this in the past, but I gotta say it's grown on me. I do think it gets overhyped simply because it was discontinued. I'm not completely convinced it's legendary like people say, but I have grown to appreciate it a lot for what it is. It's subtle, it doesn't strike you as amazing right away, but it has depth and nuance to it. It somewhat takes you on a journey, and as a collector I like that It's a higher quality amber dominant fragrance. If you like sweet amber fragrances then this would be up your ally It smells in the wheelhouse to a la nuit de 'homme, or Montblanc Legend night, maybe even a little Invictus victory vibe in here It's very syrupy sweet, and it has a fizzy cola vibe to it, which I do like a lot. Like a fizzy sexy root beer, which is intriguing. Smells like a mix between root beer and one of those daiquiri mix syrups that smell like cola. Which pretty much sums this up. It's slightly leathery and boozy too, more boozy than leathery, kinda just the right amount of those as many fragrances mistakenly amp up the boozy or leather notes. So the blend is very well done I have decided that I like it a lot and I am not traditionally a big fan of sweet amber fragrances. But I do think it's really high quality, mature, refined, and sexy I do think I like the stronger with you line better than this line though. But I think SWY is more for intimate times, and this is more for going out on dates. This is more impressive in presence, and I think the SWY line is more intimate and seductive, so they have their places I have code edt and that's also really sweet and smells like cream soda. As a collector I find them interesting. I'm glad I got a bottle before it got discontinued, but also if you didn't get a bottle don't worry too much. Just pick up Ysl la nuit d'l'homme or Invictus victory and you'll have similar vibes This is undoubtedly a date night fragrance. You could absolutely also wear it out on the town, and it shines in cold weather It is sophisticated and mature. You could pull this off wearing a leather jacket I think too. I could definitely see women going crazy over the right guy wearing this Ages would be 25 and up 8.5/10

Man this is good stuff, a real shame it's been discontinued. I don't really get any of the listed notes, to me it smells like a spicy soda, like if you mixed root beer and doctor pepper but I love that. Armani bring it back or else

Made this my signature scent the moment I got my nose on it 10 years ago. Bought four 6.7oz bottles in 2016, and I'm now down to my last one that's half empty. I dread the day I finally run out since this is a discontinued product now and I don't trust eBay. Such a masterpiece of a fragrance.

One question guys? I have found this fragrance on sale and i also adore very much montblanc legend night, but bcs of its very weak longevity and performance I wanna get this one are they similar bcs i have never tried profumo. And does it have good performance? Thanks

Y el aroma es dulce, pesado, cálido y potente a la vez y en una ciudad como en la que vívo donde la temperatura promedio es de 32 °c, no se los recomiendo causa mareos y nauseas por momentos Es un aroma estupendo, que me enseñó a no comprar un perfume solo por qué me guste, sino también a poder atención a las circunstancias en que se piensa usarlo: el entorno, la temperatura, la ocasión, la ropa... Etc.

With notes of apple, cardamom, and amber, Armani Code Profumo is one of Armani’s moderately long-lasting fragrances. It’s not a signature scent; it feels like something you’d wear occasionally, for places you don’t visit regularly. Its notes become noticeable at different times over 3–4 hours, but its projection is weak. I wouldn’t buy a new bottle once this one is finished.

One of the favourites in my collection, great if you are looking for a fragrance for dates during cold weather or at night. The only downside is that it can be too sweet for some people. Overall 8.5/10

Just finished a 10ml decant. It's Sweet and powdery from the cardamom and tonkabean remind me to the original a bit. great for casual night time.

I have a tablespoon left of this in my bottle, looked it up to buy another just to find out it’s discontinued. How sad.

A great look at Armani’s past. Yes this fragrance has been discontinued for more modern flankers which I’m slightly disappointed by. It makes sense due to this fragrance’s more dated and old school feel. Warm amber's and tonka give this fragrance a 2010’s vibe and personally give a nostalgic feel. For some it may be too sweet and headache inducing, especially in warmer climates. Best worn in colder nights and evenings of fall and winter. If you can get your hands on this, it is a nice alternative and mature touch of stronger with you, replacing the vanillas with amber and caramels. -unique and different take on the warm sweet fragrances -may be acquired-tasting for the strong tonka and amber's in replacement of vanilla -great performance (EDP) -Consistent and smooth tonka/amber from start to finish.

Fragrance Journal Entry #125 Probably my favorite amber forward fragrance. You get alot of amber, spicy cardamom, and sweet apple/tonka, this all comes together to create a "root beer" type of smell. Has a bit of a fizzy soda feel off the top as well. Super long lasting and alot of compliment potential. If you like things like D&G the one edp then you will probably love this, they don't smell the same but are in a similar category. Shame they discontinued it. Rating: 8.9/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO

Beautiful sweet scent. Decent longevity and sillage. The opening is amazing and the dry down is great. I hardly ever used it due to having many bottles. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t due to it being discontinued. 8.7/10 🔥

Smells nearly identical to the new Dior Homme Parfum 2025.

Do not wear this in warm weather and don't over spray. It's pleasant if you let it set. You either love it or hate it

I love this green apple note on this thing. Got is as a gift and I was surprised with the quality and nuance of this. Sadly discontinued.

This to me is almost like a mature version of Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Intense, but more spicy and less bubble gummy.

Nice perfume. Unique fruity/ambery vibes gives it a good performance without slaming people in the face. Attractive, mature fragance that stands out.

I could never say that this was my favorite fragrance, but I put a humongous dent in the bottle I owned - nearly finishing it actually. I recently fell out of love with it and gave the remaining little bit to my son. It was an easy reach for several years and I liked how it smelled reminiscent of coca cola. I don’t see much in common between this and any of the other Code flankers. I won’t miss wearing it, mainly due to other fragrances I own now like SWY Intensly which I enjoy more, but in retrospect it’s just so interesting that I wore this so often given how unremarkable it is for me. This fragrance will always have the tiniest piece of my heart, but I won’t lose any sleep over not having it anymore.

I blind-bought a sample of this one after seeing people hype it up as a root beer scent. And if you’ve read any of my other reviews (not that I’m famous on Fragrantica or Parfumo in the slightest), you already know: obscure gourmands are my thing. I love root beer. So this was an instant add to cart. Fast forward to now. I spray it. Yeah, no. Not root beer. Not even close. I'm gonna shoutout all my synesthesia heads with this one: What I got instead was a plasticky, kinda synthetic scent with this weird vibe I can only describe as dark purple. Like dark florals or something, maybe iris or lavender? I try not to peek at note breakdowns too early since I like to train my nose, but I was honestly stumped here. Nothing really popped out except plastic and purple. So I finally checked the notes. Tonka bean. Of course. I own like a dillion fragrances with tonka in them. It’s a note I actually don't mind, which is why this one confused me so much. It’s just... not used the way I’m used to it. Normally, I get my tonka fix from stuff like Jean Paul Gaultier, where it’s more on the sweet side. Here, it’s deeper, darker, and way more syrupy thick. Also, apparently this one’s discontinued. And I get why. It’s not terrible. I mean it doesn’t smell like actual garbage, but it’s just not for me. Not even close. I could go the rest of my life without ever smelling it again and be completely fine. If you’re expecting root beer, pass. If you’re expecting anything creamy or gourmand, also pass. This is a tonka-heavy, plasticky cloud of meh. Not bottle worthy. Not wearable for me. Just not it. Sorry, Code Profumo fanatics.

Had it and gifted to a dear friend, i barely used It in last two years, he instead loved It and... I'm Happy that I gave It to him 🫂
