Marketing campaign aside, this fragrance is actually quite nice. This fragrance is a combination of spices, fresh aldehydes and sweetness, and it smells quite good. It lasts for a LOT of time, I once got a compliment on it 14 hours after I applied it, but it doesn't project quite far, it creates a scent bubble around you and leaves a trail of scent behind you. it's not that expensive, and it's a good starter fragrance, atomizer is crap though.
I’d recommend this over SE — dark and spicy like it, but sweeter and more complex, and at a quarter of the price. It’s also different enough that it won’t remind anyone of the last jerk they met wearing Sauvage.
Imagine o Gisada embassador men misturado com sauvage elixir..perfume bem mais atraente do que sauvage elixir.
For those who say this doesn't perform: trust me you're going noseblind. This is one of the strongest and most projecting fragrances I've ever sampled to date. It's so strong you can smell it when you EXHALE, let alone inhale! I gifted a bottle to my father and I can absolutely smell it when in the evening he leaves a room, even if he put it on that morning. On me more than one or two sprays would be lethal. Indescribable smell really, some kind of sweetish incense not dissimilar to one million's kind of sweetness, but mature. Also smells musky with sweet spices. Completely synthetic. Dense but dry Cold nights only.
This is a banger! Been awhile since I smelled elixer, so I can’t compare. Good spicy notes , with some light incense notes in the background
If you like Sauvage Elixir you need to try Ambassidor Intense! This has alot of similarities with much more depth and is more wearable IMO. I'm not a fan of SE on me but the added notes and complexity of this are a massive improvement and as an added bonus, it lasts longer and is half the cost! If this came from Dior it would be a huge hit and cost close to $300. Same can be said about regular Ambassidor and Sauvage, I personally prefer both of them.
Truly remarkable fragrance. Compliment magnet. Better than Sausage elixir. Kind hard to get.
This is quite an unique scent. Woody, spicy, fruity, sweet, airy, all well blended together. Worth sampling if you want something different in your collection.
This is a very hard scent to describe something like rose and black pepper, woods fruits bomb very sexy profile, and very high quality and strooong! 10/10
This fragrance delivers in every single aspect. An intoxicating and complex scent that lasts a long time, fruity and spicy, warm and comfortable. The sillage and projection are both top notch. Suitable for almost every situation, except for high heat. Definitely more wearable and versatile than Dior Sauvage Elixir and also more interesting. The price offers great value, especially at discounters. I paid €84 for 100 ml. You can tell the perfume oil concentration is quite high by the residue on the atomizer. 9/10.
i knew i had to properly glaze this when i put it on at 5pm one evening and woke up at 10am with it JUST as strong as it was the night before. it lasts forever on my skin and smells amazing. there's so many different notes that come to the nose, id say its rather wood-like, rain smell, heavy on the leather and musk smell. the cinnamon and jasmine mid notes pair really well together. like other reviews have mentioned its fruity, but not in a bright and apparent way, its mainly overshadowed by the leather and wood notes. i feel like it smells like its own bottle of whiskey like it just is so perfect
Sauvage Elixir runs laps around Ambassador intense in my humble opinion <3
Undecided on my thoughts about this. I sampled it last year and really enjoyed it so it stayed on my mind but now with the full bottle - it is much harsher than I recall. Mainly to my nose I get Orange, Ginger, Geranium/Ambroxan, patchouli and one of the floral elements with a slightly synthetic tinge. Dry down is fantastic especially on clothes (even into the following day) but I hope with further aging/maceration it turns into the original fragrance I initially loved from the sample. Will update as time passes.
First impression was a sweeter, smoother version of Drakkar Noir. Opening leans more towards Dior Sauvage Parfum than the Elixir, but there is a small resemblance to the Elixir. I got it as a tester for about $60 and it came with a cap, so happy with my purchase. Wife said it smells like Christmas.
Darker and more mature take on Sauvage Elixir DNA. I much prefer Gisada's take on it rather than the OG or Asad, if you own either of those two then this one might be redundant. I see that cypress is nowhere to be found among 40 notes listed which is weird. Drydown brings out slight, yet very calm cypress note on my skin (which very well might be why I prefer this one over the OG).
Very nice, I will but it, 9/10
Sauvage Elixir for younger men without grandpa lavender. More fruited but still dark and not for teenagers Best mode but can be too synthetic for some. I think that maybe my signature in the winter.
Gorgeous scent. It's a dark, sweet and spicy fragrance that is quite complex -- maybe not as complex as the 30 listed notes in the pyramid sets it out to be, but there are a lot of interesting facets to the smell. The smell up close is way different from what the scents smells like in the air. I find this to be quite powdery and sweet but also still smokey and dark -- a combination I have not smelled before. It makes for a very addictive scent when you smell it up close. From further away -- the woods, vetiver, nutmeg and clove are more noticable and given these notes, I can see the 'Sauvage Elixir' comparision, but I don't really agree with it due to the sweet raspberry and powdery anise dimension of 'Ambassador Intense'. Up close, I pick up more raspberry, cardamom, pink pepper, elemi and licorice -- all my favorite notes in perfumery. I've found my new signature scent in 'Ambassador Intense' and I'm asking my friends to bathe my casket in this when I'm buried so I carry this aura with me into the afterlife.
My first time testing this, I wasn’t all that impressed. I liked it overall, but something about it just didn’t work for me, especially compared to the original Ambassador, which I loved right away. I recently tried it again and my opinion has changed. The licorice note, which I believe was what threw me off at first, doesn’t bother me anymore. Now I find myself really enjoying it. While I still prefer the original over the Intense, this one is in my top three fragrances for colder weather.
I love the added fruitiness. After having this for more than a year, I can say it’s probably my favorite Dior Sauvage flanker. Lol On a serious note: Scent: 9.5/10 Projection: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10
From the very first spray, it commands attention-filling my bedroom and the hallway in seconds. Its projection is that impressive. Its strength lies in a deep, smoky, and gourmand character. A sophisticated warmth that gives it a mature signature, drawing compliments naturally without ever feeling heavy. Made for cold winter nights and New Year's Eve, perfectly attuned to the festive elegance of those special moments. For anyone seeking a powerful statement: intense, smoky, refined, and unforgettable.
I don't know what to say about this It's not as good as I thought it would be, and on my skin it's not projecting that well like I heard it does (maybe it's just my skin) An average 3/5 from my side It's 100% same smell as Dior Sauvage Elixir, but Dior is Dior, don't be fooled and yes, Dior lasts way, way longer than Gisada https://www.tiktok.com/@scentkapital
at first spray in the air does smell like Dior elixir but on skin & clothes it’s different & smells very good I love Dior elixir & this is amber spicy family while dior elixir is aromatic so kinda different, safe blind buy
dior sauvage parfum with some fruity notes. a bit sharp.
at first, it's an intense spritz of 'there are so many things going on here', it's a harlem shake slap of citrus, lavender, licorice, incense and dubious amber vying for position, which lasts all of ten seconds. then it settles to 'this is what every bro wears bro' quite nicely, like a drugstore fragrance where you can pick up distinct notes of 'FOR MEN' and also 'THIS IS A MEN'S COLOGNE' and a bit of 'MEN SMELL, IT'S FANCY, BUY IT FOR MEN'. it finally rests into contented oblivion mediocrity. it's a distillation of an entire men's cologne aisle at walgreen's masquerading as high end, a dollar store body spray pretending to be fancy with groucho glasses and nose/moustache, but not pretending that hard, like maybe it got that kit at the two dollar store instead, tops. it smells like 'performs as intended' for a fragrance that was a heavy influencer push without a soul, something i wasn't aware of before i started digging into it. today, i'm sadly wearing "here you go son, your first cologne! you too can now regrettably smell like a much older clueless man without taste!" by gisada. a highly efficient olfactory memento to offer as a present to somebody for whom you cultivate a mild dislike, it kindly reminds them that they're not that special, that they should fall in and get to work already, and that life is with end, and contains very little joy.
I can really see why so many remind themself of Sauvage elixir or Lataffa asad - for a brief moment. After it seattle and some minute after spray it goes in another direction - i'd say blind buy safe =) On a completly different note i find the batch code thingy a bit confusing. The long very long number combination (1325010210043) dosent show up in check fresh - so no clue when its made - must be really easy to copy this scent and brand.
It smells very sharp and reminds me of a Dior Sauvage type DNA. Heavy ambroxan, loud, and very noticeable from start to finish. It projects a lot and lasts a long time, but again, it feels aggressive. The scent doesn’t evolve much and becomes tiring after a while. Performance is strong, but the smell is not my style. If you like Sauvage or very loud fragrances, you might enjoy it. For me, it’s too harsh and not enjoyable to wear.
Perfect for a night out for men. Very masculine scent, but in such a relaxed way. You’d want to sit next to someone who wears this
its weird, I can't tell whether I like it or hate it, sometimes it smells really good, then sometimes it makes me want to throw up. I'm not sure if people would be happy to smell this on me as I walk by so it just sits in my collection collecting dust. If anyone is interested in buying I have a 95% full bottle for sale.
If you can't decide what you want to smell like, you can smell like EVERYTHING with this loud, crass monstrosity.
