It’s the scent I recognize as myself! My signature 🖤

I love this fragrance, I always have a bottle. I find it uplifting, it clears my mind . To me this is a wonderful aromatic blast, followed by the best lily scent I came across, then the top notes returns creating a classy blend ! It is strong , it takes it time to develop and last for ever. It is unique, so I agree, this is not a safe blind buy ! Then again, if you like aromatic scents, this smells like heaven !

A very unique spicy , warm but fresh night time fragrance. Love this since early 2000's. Very strong longevity and you will smell it on yourself for more than 7 8 hours atleast. The smell is powdery , dark floral , spicy fresh and warm at the same time , dark and herbal. A very nice signature scent which will not remind you of any particular notes. It's in the truest sense a well blended perfume. Not a safe blind buy but if you like the Givenchy L'Interdit line or Gucci guilty then you would love this OG one. The flankers are more floral than the OG one. Its marketed for female audience but its dark enough that even men can easily pull this off. Its dark without being Gothic.

This is a very fresh and kind of spicy fragrance to me. It is spicy in a cool way, though. I really the powdery scent it leaves on my skin.

This is one of the most unique scents ive smelled. What I love is how the name really does fit the fragrance! It's bewitching, sensual, and mysterious. Opening up with a really interesting aromatic tang from the saffron. It gives it this poisonous effect. Like im smelling an aphrodisiac or something of the sorts. All of that, to then dry down to a narcotic lily, and I also smell a bit of ylang. They smell waxy, sweet and almost play doughy in a way. The base is warm, sweet and vanillic. As for seasons, im not sure if id wear this in summer or spring, maybe on the rainy days. I find it suitable for colder seasons however! Spices personally don't read well in the heat to my nose, and I find the aromatics of saffron and thyme to carry throughout. Great longevity and projection as well! All around really unique scent and performance is great! Maybe don't blind buy, I don't see this being super mass appealing. Loves ittttttt

I wanted to blind buy it, and I’m glad I didn’t. The scent is excellent; it truly is a blend of opposites—black and white, sweet and dark, soft and sharp—yet it strongly reminds me of Fragonard’s Grain de Soleil, with the difference that Soleil lacks that dual nature; it leans more towards the sweet and gentle side—more "angelic" which I prefer better.

not cloying, in hindsight, but the brashness sticks around. metallic orange blossom shrouds the opening and gives me more strong visuals of a corporate woman at the edge of her sanity - today she is layering dense beaded necklaces and they carry a weird oily tang from years of haphazard storage. for a over a year i have been huffing AoD with rapt attention and a desire to listen and learn, and only recently she gave me a blast of fly spray straight off the cap. i used to get this discordant pesticide effect from lemon juice and sugar crepes, and it didn't put me off enough to stop eating them.

I think the name gives it off well. A sad melancholic song you naturally surrender to. Deep vanilla, a slight tang of sourness from the orange/ylang ylang with an herbal twist from the oakmoss. Feels intimate, skin-like. Imagine being lost in the woods with a woman you shouldn't trust. so much purity laced with mystery. A scent begging to be understood and unraveled. Very unique and insanely sexy yet unsettling. blind buy turned signature scent & my all time favorite. 10/10

I've spent years trying *not* to have a signature scent. This is it for me. No matter how many perfumes I encounter, this is always the one that others cannot touch. I laugh because, from the name to bottle design, it's all very *me*. Dark or light? Both, equally. Angel or devil? That depends on you (& how you define those concepts). I always notice myself instinctually drawn aesthetically, emotionally, philosophically, to things that represent both extremes equally. Maybe that's my Gemini moon speaking. It takes a lot for a perfume to impress or satisfy me. The most unique fragrance I've ever come across & it must be so, judging by how often others say the same. I know I've mentioned a couple others that reminded me of this in my past reviews but I must retract those statements. Nothing else I've experienced truly comes close to the complexity & subtlety here. I have the vaguest memory of Twilly (Hermes) being somewhat reminiscent in a way although that was years ago, I can't remember now. I cannot allow myself the thought of this being discontinued one day. She is also the longest lasting, most potent modern perfume I own (post reformulation era). Ange ou Démon is beyond description, although I so love reading the reviews here from time to time because it is so close to my heart. Someone commented that it should be categorized as fine art & I agree. It's niche quality in every way. Nothing generic here. Don't expect something so unique & strangely beautiful to be quiet either, what an insult! It must be experienced by an open mind, over a period of time to be truly appreciated. Just like me. ;) Beginners won't know what to do with this one, the context only begins to form once you've met many others & in turn, yourself. 🤍

If you’re blind buying a vintage perfume, keep in mind that old-fashioned “vintage” feel is very noticeable and not everyone enjoys it today. I bought this on discount after loving the notes, but the opening instantly reminded me of the scented hair oils my aunts used to wear mixed with hairspray. After a few more wears, I appreciated it more. The spices and moss lead the scent much more than the vanilla, though there’s still a soft sweetness underneath. I don’t hate it, in fact, it feels oddly comforting and nostalgic, but I wouldn’t repurchase it. It’s the kind of scent I admire more than I’d actually wear in public.

Анонім

All I really get is citrus in the opening and some patchouli-like scent in the dry down (kinda like the one in Coco Mademoiselle.) This fragrance doesn't match its note pyramid at all.

Very first EDP that I have bought around 4 or so, years ago. I still have just a tiny bit left (and it's still good! It doesn't go bad after so long just fyi) but let me tell you that this is my signature scent for dark & cold, almost melancholy winters. Like if you would take a stroll down the road covered in snow while sky is that dark color (not night time) ... Spices are both warm and cold, a tad bit sweet but not too much, woody and aromatic... makes me feel so strong when wearing it. I dare say it makes you feel like a demon and not an angel at all... demon with angelic face! It lasts forever on clothes and on my skin is like 12h+! So worth the price. The bottle is also so beautiful. But this is not safe blind buy imo as some people found it too strong when they smelled it on me and it made them feel uncomfortable. Some even said it reminded them of church scent. But for me it is 10/10!

This was a blind buy because it was on sale - and because the name intrigued me. It is sweet, mechanical, citrusy, and powdery. It is quite puzzling at first, but it grows on you as you become familiar with it. I spray it on my pillows every other day, as my skin does not do well with citrus perfume notes.

Анонім

Not a safe blind buy, but I took a risk and decided to try it out. There is just something so alluring and mysterious to it, it is literally a dichotomy between hot and cold, like a woman who draws you in but intimidates you at the same time. Long lasting, and with a decent scent trail, but in no way cloying or offensive (3-4 sprays is enough). I just adore perfumes that feel a bit 'cold', metallic on my skin. Eventually it subsides to pleasant sweetness with a hint of star anise (?). Definitely expected to be more mature, but it is also in no way juvenile.

Анонім

I’m not even sure how to describe this. It’s definitely unique and I feel like the name fits really well. Sweet and smooth angel vs spicy almost savory demon… or is it the other way around? I wore it yesterday and I swear I’m still getting whiffs of it on my pillow. Potent, sexy, mysterious. And NOT blind buy safe. I’m not even sure what I think of this, but I respect it. And I think I could come to like it a lot even if just because I respect how unique it is.

Grey and cold, almost metallic vanilla, with an unusual aromatic profile. Herbs and flowers growing between rocks in an austere field, beneath a cloudy sky. That is where she dwells, dark-winged, existing in the fog between shadow and light. Enigmatic, melancholic, and fierce.

Анонім

It definitely has an almond wibe to it, much more mature than I expected.. Hopefully it grows on me! EDIT: This is so much better on skin! Now I get the whole dark mysterious vibe that the vanilla in combination with the thyme creates. It’s not a love but I can get behind it.

Анонім

This scent is amazing. It took me 20 years to test it out on my skin, I knew how it smelled long before that from smelling it on other people but maybe I was too young to appreciate it. On my skin it is a beautiful marzipan scent. A creamy almond, slightly floral, but still very clearly almond. I have been looking for an almond fragrance and...bingo! I am so happy this is still made.

One of the first perfumes I got a crush on because I received a small bottle of it and didn't smell anything like it before. (Now I have more experience with perfumes but back then, as a young girl it was something very new to me) As the person below inquired. If anyone knows a dupe of this, please post about it. 🥹

Анонім

Is there any Middle Eastern dupe for that? I'd be so grateful if someone told me. Thank you so much!

Анонім

I am surprised no one compared this to Dior Addict. This gives the same vibes. Vanilla but make it cold, not a welcoming warm vanilla, but rather a sort of melancholic hostile one.

Анонім

femme fatale. strong, sexy and sophisticated. this perfume won't leave you without compliments. it is for someone who is very confident and knows their value or wants to appear so. I cannot point to a specific note that I like in it because I enjoy how they all combine together, but you can definitely feel the saffron and orange notes on a base of vanilla that is not girly but mature yet not bitter.

Анонім

Definitely unique. I am glad I bought it although certainly not an everyday scent and not office safe. To me this is quite aromatic and cold scent: truly metallic spicy herbal profile, smells like beautiful flowers caught in metallic fence. It also reminds me of walks in the mountains on a cool dewy morning stepping on stones and crushing mountain flowers and grass under your feet...unique cold smell, slightly mentholated to my nose. The lilly accord is a bit too strong but other than that it's perfect. I have nothing else like this in my collection. My husband likes it a lot which is a bonus.

Анонім

Not office safe, because of the strong silage and it's hate-it-or-love-it character. That's the most elegant way I can put this. It smells like you're trying to mask something. And if you love this one, hey, all the power to you. I totally respect that. Enjoy while you can, but keep others in mind. :)

Анонім

It's moody, elegant, and impossible to pin down. Also not a sugary gourmand or a forgettable floral...it’s a perfect balance of light and shadow. On the skin it feels like a fairy wandering through an old, dusty haunted house: soft, luminous, but with a dark shimmer beneath. I would not say it's super sexy but rather a 'cool girl' fragrance and even though my bottle is an older batch, it’s not super long-lasting on me but it's definitely worth reapplying after 3/4 hours. I’ll always need this one in my collection.

I got a 10ml at the end of the summer from fragrancenet and have been worried about wearing it in hot weather because of the visual of the bottle. I think the name is witchy so in my head it was darker of a smell but now that it is colder here in canada (there is snow outside), I decided to try it out today. This is not dark and it is quite sweet but not really gourmand sweet. The vanilla and tonka is definetly there and It last quite a while but I am prone to migraines so I do not overspray and like scents that don't have crazy sillage so take this with a grain of salt. It's not my favorite but it is very good!

Анонім

When I smell this I can hear the crows cawing, I can see dead trees covered in snow as the time freezes still. Wearing this feels like walking through an abandoned mansion, rotten rose petals leading you into unknown as you listen to sounds of a harp trying to comfort you. But the harp is fighting for her air as cello joins in on the melody and swallows her whole. It's deep, dark, unsetteling yet undeniably alluring and nostalgic. Harp is the vanilla, ylang-ylang and tonka notes, cello are saffron, thyme and moss. I'd say lily is in between. It's not really a 'femme fatale' scent but if The Vampire Diaries was a perfume it would be this.

Анонім

I like it but I don't love it it's pleasant but it doesn't really stand out

The right fragrance for a foggy day, so melancholic, beautiful and unique. I love the summer edition of Ange ou Demon (Le Secret) too. Exceptional creations!

I’ve had such trouble finding my descriptive bearings in this powdery, bubblegummy, herbal-dreamsicle soap bubble that I’ve put off reviewing it for months. With the vanilla, rosewood, and spiced cola nuances, maybe it’s a little like Hypnotic Poison; with the creamy, synthetic white florals, maybe it’s a little like a Narciso cube. On its own terms, it is undeniably perfumey, like a child’s idea of what moms and aunts smell like on special occasions. I think I am finally coming around to liking lily, which to me has a creamy, narcotic, night-cream mellowness to it (I like it a lot here and in Madonna Truth or Dare). What makes this fragrance unusual, and perhaps keeps me from liking it unqualifiedly, is the saffron, which one insightful reviewer called a nuance of microwavable chicken sandwich (!). So weird and yet so apt, and if I’m understanding them correctly there is a formerly-frozen-but-now-warmed hot/cool effect to this fragrance as well as a savory, oily undertone. This by no means dominates the vanillic white florals, but it is detectable enough to keep this from being a merely pedestrian floriental. Synesthetically, the jasmine here smells very purple (iykyk) — different in quality than Alien, but just as purple.
