Ange ou Demon Le Secret Elixir

I feel like this one and the classic Le Secret had the potential to be very sexy perfumes, but the lemon and tea notes kind of holds them back. Doesn’t matter which perfume, I just can’t associate tea/lemon/citrus notes with sexiness in my mind

I had the Intense Elixir EDP (purple glass bottle without the word ‘Elixir’ on the front) which is not listed on this web site, but is shown in some of the pictures uploaded by members. It opens with an uplifting burst of sweet lemon-jasmine-tea notes, and it dries down to a light, feminine, dry patchouli-cedar-white musk base. For those who also enjoy Carolina Herrera Good Girl (original version), I thought I would mention that the Intense Elixir EDP layers beautifully with it, serving to extend the brighter and sweeter notes in the opening of Good Girl, while lightening up and balancing out the thicker tonka-vanilla notes in Good Girl’s base. Another combination I discovered and loved was layering this with Roberto Cavalli Gemma di Paradiso, which created a sugary vanilla-amber effect!

Really unique and Impossible to find in my country. Just have a mini so i only wear sparingly. Sooo wish I owned a big bottle Very unusual unique and not sure how I really feel about it. That's why I want it in my collection

im very confused by this, all i smelled for the first few minutes was thyme, very freshly cut with a tinge of orange blossom . put the strip away and come back to a warm patchouli vanilla situation, the greeness felt more like tea this time but faint, mostly getting the base notes but im not mad at it . very all over the place but i think thats the charm and mystique of it all . i dont really like number ratings but id give this a 9/10, i dont know when or where to wear it

Such an amazing fragrance . It was love at first sniff and I used this fragrance on important dates, fancy events - whenever I wanted to feel amazing and to impress. I find this such a unique scent

Very sweet opening, then within seconds it evolves into lemon cologne. After 10-15 minutes it smells so much better. Definitely carries the le secret dna. Also radiates well. In my opinion, if you already have le secret you don't need this one, but this one adds a nice twist to the whole line.

It is an elixir, supposedly intense, version but of the original 2009. The new Le Secret 2014, however, is stronger than this and exactly what I would expect from an intense version. The original is a subtle skinscent good for office without much personality and this one the same. Tea, tiare, a drop of jasmin. In 27°C and sunshine I can barely feel it. This scented elixir is truly a secret. It has the same strength as the eau de parfum 2009 and intimate sillage. But it does radiate better and is very pretty. Weak like the blue Resort by Elie Saab which is similar and closest in scent profile to Le Secret Edition Croisiere which also has more presence. Intense and even Elixir words clash with the subtle performance. I wish they used only Elixir for this, without intense which it is not. It is more complex than the 2009. But Le Secret word with both 2009 and this 2011 now makes sense. I suppose this is such a pretty secret the whole year, day and night and I am shocked to read that the whole family is gone. It is among the best. Ange ou Demon classic and the Le Secret 2014 are masterpieces. Elixir seems to be an evening scent. Reapplied is much more detectable.

I really like this! It works as a really unique skin scent, deep, citrusy yet so warm and sweet, stays close to the skin. It's just so sexy I don't care that it doesn't last or project- this is the kind of fragrance you want a beautiful girl to wear in bed with you, natural yet wow. So sad that the ange ou demon line is gone, and this isn't even the best one!

I bought this bottle 2 times. It’s the scent on my wedding day in September 2018. I know they've stopped making it but if any brands make similar smell like this I'll still pay for it

I just can't decide whether I like this or not. I paid $90 for 1.7oz, which to me is a lot, but I was dying to try it, and now I don't know if it's worth the hype. It reminds me of something else, Alien maybe, I don't know, I haven't smelled Alien in forever, but it reminds me of some big, blockbuster fragrance. I can't really judge the opening because the bottle I have is old and the lemon just doesn't smell that fresh anymore. It's a little funky, but that might get better once the atomizer is more cleared out. I just wish the tea were more prominent. I get jasmine right from the beginning too, and it's quite heady. After about 20 minutes, this becomes gorgeous, and I love the whiffs I get. Very sexy and feminine without being too much. I think it's still more of a night scent, but you can totally get away with wearing this in the daytime. It's heady yet light, like all the best white florals. It's a little sweet too, and a little powdery, even. The drydown is beautiful too. I was disappointed with the lasting power. It's been 5 hours and it's completely gone, even from my shirt. In conclusion, I really like this, but I don't know that it's unique or interesting enough to keep my interest. Update: I actually really like this now. The atomizer has cleared out, the funk is gone and I get a lot of tea in the opening. This is really a sexy version of Le Secret. It's like a white floral Arnold Palmer with grape juice, and the patchouli makes it sultry. This is the first perfume my boyfriend has ever liked! He said I smell sweet! Granted, he might have just said that because he's in trouble right now, but never mind. I want to layer this with vanilla, bet it would be phenomenal.

As a lover of basically exclusively sweet perfumes, this is one of the “sexiest” perfumes I own. I’ve had it for years so I often forget that I have it. Recently found it in my collection again and came to look up the notes. Personally I don’t detect these notes other than the vanilla but I generally have a poor sense of smell but overall I love this one. It’s sweet but still sexy. I do associate it with being young like a freshly out of high school kind of scent due to the time period in which I bought this, but I still love it now that I’m in my late 20s.

Really fell in love with the first try but it’s sad it doesn’t last much!

I waited a few years to score the Elixir for a decent price, and I finally managed to get a big bottle for about 40 bucks. Givenchy is my favorite perfume house, and Elixir really exceeded my expectations. It's about a hundred times better than what I imagined in my head from reading the reviews here. Where the original is spicy( Ange ou Demon EDP), Elixir is fruity and sweet, but not sweet according to today's designer standards-rather fruity sweet, while retaining its classiness and grace. It will not make you smell like a 15-year-old girl, that's for sure. My husband pulled it from the box, smelled the cap, and said that Elixir will be the best-smelling perfume I have. While I wouldn't rate it an absolute number 1, I can say it's probably in my top 10, as my collection is bordering on insane. I am really glad to have this!

Absolutely fell in love the second I smelled it. It was a gift for my mom and I’d always secretly put just a spray or two and every time it would last very well, especially on clothing! So feminine, so delicate, so playful yet mature and elegant. The whole Ange ou Demon line is a total hit for me - and I think the name perfectly describes the actual scents. Dual, sensual, with a touch of mystery and softness and intensity hiding under it all. It’s on the heavier side, so definitely not meant for people who’re into light fragrances. Very unique, outstanding, mesmerizing, dreamy…such a lovely scent. It’s like a woman that just radiates seductiveness even while being fully clothed. Naturally sultry and womanly. Perfect for nighttime. I will never get over Le Secret Elixir being discontinued. Would absolutely buy it the same second they announced its comeback.

This is not a scent that I use very often, but when I do I get stopped every time. People just love it. The jasmine and the tea... yumm!

One of the sexiest fragrances ever. Sublime as hell…I’ve been searching for something….anything….remotely close to it with no luck.

This was probably my first big girl perfume, before this it was just bath and body works and honestly hollister perfumes. My best friend had this bottle and I remember always looking at how pretty and expensive the bottle looked that I didn’t want to use it. The first time I sprayed it I was not impressed I thought it smelled too mature, but throughout the night I would keep getting whiffs of it and it was the most beautiful & elegant scent to me. 10/10 I am still to this day obsessed

As a guy I own and wear the original Ange Ou Demon, and it is one of my favorite sents. That one does lean slightly feminine, but it's not enough that I think anyone would question it. Elixir adds a fruityness to the mix and cuts back a little on the boozy vanilla. It works really well, and I do really like it. I strongly suggest that people give this one a go. I do have to say though that this does push far enough feminine that a guy wearing it might raise an eyebrow or two, though it does still have masculine facets to it. This is a very sexy scent.

My first love. The scent that introduced me to the fragrance realm. I’m forever grateful to have met you in my mom’s collection. They changed your sultry purple bottle color to pink now. Or dark blue. But the elixir version of you doesn’t exist anymore.

Has this been discontinued? That would be such a shame.

Light citrusy/tea/oriental. Gorgeous perfume. Unfortunately discontinued.

It is very rounded inoffensive citrus flora. It does not have a indolic note of Alien. The only issue is that after generous spraying it disappears almost straight away. Le Secret normal seems having more longevity. Good I did not pay the full price for it as its now WOW, it is just normal and longevity is weak. Otherwise it is not bad. Very very safe. I don't understand how one can dislike it. EDIT: I tried it again and this time it was beautiful. It is grape scent. And has a pretty good longevity. I love it now.

le secret elixir - fully purple coloured bottle two sprays to inner arm. semi sunny weather this scent isnt as bad as i thought some years ago. its got lots of white floral accords by the looks, but to me its not a huge white creamy floral, its a bit different like ALIEN is, it has a smiggle or rubber note which keeps it from being another floral. for me its not in the totally fresh camp, nor floral camp, its somewhere in between, it looks* like it might be in the oriental camp but no. it might have orange blossom?? im going to have to do another test

The beginning reminds me So Elixir Purple from Yves Rocher, after a few minutes I can feel the echo of Alien. Over time, it is more and more like the family of Ange ou Demon Le Secret. Personally, I Like the version of Le Secret 2014 and it will remain so. If I had to choose between Le Secret Elixir and Alien, I would choose Alien.

I love this version of Ange ou Demon (elixir). I'd purchased the Ange ou Demon Le Secret and couldn't stand it - it was too light, thin, and tart/citrus, but Le Secret Elixir is so rich, warm, sultry that it has become one of my favorite fragrances. For me, this is in the category with Versace's Crystal Noir, but slightly sweeter with the addition of Jasmine. Around the time I purchased it, I'd been using Lovespell by Vera Wang, and I found Ange ou Demon Le Secret Elixir to be a good middle ground between the strong, heady, spicy musk of Versace Noir and the cheap, semi-sweet floral warmth of Lovespell.

It can be used at night or by daytime... It depends on the occasion. It is strong but not the "in your face" type. It was long lasting, and people complimented it. I know that most of the Ange ou Demon scents can be easily confused with Mugler's Alien, but tonight I was sitting side by side with one of my friends (who actually wore Mugler's Alien) and they're enormously different

The opening definitely has that grape/Alien aroma but it quickly transforms into a fresh white floral tea that is heavenly. I feel like this might be the love child of Alien and Armani Code . I get the same feeling wearing this. Uplifting but also alluring and subtle. Yum! The longevity is good (6/7 hours) and it's mostly a skin scent which I prefer. I'm so happy with this blind buy!

@MoniSK I like this one way better then the original Le secret edp, it has a more unique scent to it which is entoxycating :)

I love ange ou demon le secret so much, i would like to blind buy this one but i feel like it will smell similar to one i have. Does anyone have both of them if so is there big difference betweenn them?

I used to wear...and love...Opium....but grew to not like it as much as it morphed over the years. Lately, ave become more enamored with lighter, more floral scents....maybe it is just Spring! Yesterday I uncovered a sample of this Givenchy Ange ou Demon Le Secret and before I knew it I was hooked. Had to have it and ordered a bottle today. Light, fresh, floral and just a bit sweet...sweeter than I might have considered wearing in the past. I like this scent when I first use it and love it as it softens out with wear...maybe Springtime...but this scent is lovely.
