You got invited to a wedding. A really nice garden wedding and you are greeted by expensive white flowers.

This perfume is so elegant and pretty. I feel so sophisticated when I wear this. The best way I can describe Dahlia Divin is this way: I spray it and I envision that I am wearing a Chanel suit or a St. John blazer and I'm going to be in a soap opera episode in the Bold and the Beautiful! I know..... silly but that's what it is to me. Thank God Macy's still carries this. Everything else in the Les Mysthiques collection must be bought on givenchy's web site (not horrible) but it would be nice to try hot couture and eaudemoiselle!!

This is nice. Has an overall glow that smells posh and fancy. Not enormous sillage which I like. Overall, very nice and makes me think of special occasions.

It’s just a mixture of elegance and class. I don’t smell a distinct note in here. It is a little woody. I like it ❤️

This one really grew on me. Overall I would describe this as a classy, woody, dark floral. Yes, there’s some fruits in there, but I would not describe it as ‘fruity’ like some others on here. I think the predominant scent is the sandalwood, which is a pleasant surprise because it’s devoid of the pickle-y note that so many sandlewood scents have. This is blended beautifully, it’s hard to distinguish the individual notes because they work together so well. It has moderate longevity and sillage, I think it’s inoffensive and potentially even work safe. It’s wonderfully feminine without any gourmands, florals, or fruits hitting you square in the face. It’s sophisticated and mature without feeling vintage or outdated.

I just love sandalwood fragrances and this perfume doesn't disappoint. It's well balanced with other fruity notes so that it's literally desired by different age groups. In my case my grandmother and my mother were equally mesmerized by it just like I was. Very elegant smell. If only performance was better....

strong warm fruits

Beautiful, majestic, ultra feminine. I much prefer the silky powder of Dahlia Noir, but since it's been discontinued, it's hard to find, so this is a great substitute. As the fragrance blossomed on my skin, its rich opulence immediately reminded me of Aramis Tuscany Donna. The bright, fruity plum note clings to my skin and lingers until it fades into the final dry-down. This is a keeper.

Juicy fruity opening paired with sweet white florals, gets woodier and more powdery as it dries down and mingles with body heat, but not significantly much on my skin. Very much a fruity floral perfume. I like this in warm weather, so spring through autumn. Sits right at arms length on my skin.

Fruitchouli that smells like 1000 others.

Similar vibe to miss dior in my opinion, very elegant. Strong white flowers mixed with a juicy peach.

I’ve had a bottle of this since it launched. It used to be my “Christmas perfume”, since I bought it around the holidays, as a gift to myself, so I associate it with warmth, happiness and self indulgence. I haven’t worn it in a while, but sniffing it always brings good memories.

This isn't bad...just not interesting. It's like the perfume version of a plain Givenchy bag where the logo is just big enough to be a status symbol.

I bought a new bottle of this -- the tall re-release -- to revisit it, having worn it daily in 2017-18 and wanting to expand my nostalgic little library of past perfumes. I was sad to see it discontinued, and am glad to have it back. Dahlia Divin a lovely alternative to the sugary-sweets that seem to be pervasive at the moment (many of which I enjoy! But sometimes you want something different). The fragrance is as I remember it; I don't think this has been significantly reformulated: sparkling golden fruit grounded by vetiver on first spritz, and after a few hours a creamy jasmine buoyed by soft woods. It's unique without calling too much attention to itself. Elegant. The staying power and the sillage are impressive: one spritz above my head scents my hair for hours; one on my wrist sticks around all day.

I am usually not a fan of patchouli and jasmine being prominent notes but in Dahlia Divin it is done so smoothly. My little nephew said this is how heaven would smell like!!

This was the first perfume my mother-in-law ever purchased for me, and I keep reaching for it year after year for special occasions and nights out with my husband. It's a feminine scent that doesn't feel too old-fashioned, but has that same depth and "wealthy" feel. I love testing new perfumes, but I would probably re-purchase this when it runs out.

Since I discovered a fondness for Dahlia Divin Nude, I figured I’d revisit my sample of the original. Immediately this is much soapier and more floral than I remember. (My memory of it being mainly a fruitchouli scent seems to correspond better to the notes listed here.) I’m not getting any mirabelle plum, citrus, or even jasmine. The strong soapy white floral note doesn’t strike me as jasmine or orange flower; it’s sharper, more like narcissus (as in SJP Lovely) or a Narciso-esque osmanthus. Behind that is a faintly warming vetiver/patchouli, a bit smoky, chocolatey, and wine-like. A bit sour and harsh and soapy for the first two hours and then becomes a softer pleasant skin scent as the sandalwood and vanilla smooth it out (though there’s not noticeably much of either). It’s between a like and ok for me. I prefer Nude.

Dahlia Divin EDP is a beautiful, rich, creamy, regal, sultry, yet cozy perfume. To my nose, the perfume opens up with gourmand notes of honey and a hint of patchouli that reminds me of La Vie Est Belle as well as JPG Scandal. However, there is a creamy, pillowy cloud of a bakery lemon pastry accord that softens and surrounds the honey and patchouli of the opening. The bakery lemon pastry scent reminds me of the one I detect in Prada Candy Sugar Pop, Kerosene Unknown Pleasures, and Zara Sweet Pastry in Paris. Last but not least, there is a powdery dry down with a hint of smokiness (?incense) that gives Dahlia Divin its seductive, mysterious, intoxicating facet. The smokey incense note in the powdery dry down of Dahlia Divin is similar to the incense note in Mariah Carey's M perfume (purple butterfly). The smokey incense note in the dry down is balanced and complemented by the rich creamy lemon pastry core that gives Dahlia Divin her soft, rich, cozy, feminine side. Finally, the powderiness adds that regal touch fit for a queen. What a beautiful composition!

If you're familiar with Fancy by Jessica Simpson and Because of You by Armani, Dahlia Divin is of the same fragrance style (sexy powdery litchi) -- but the lightest and freshest of the 3.

There is something "divin" about it indeed, the name suggests it rightly, the bottle's design also couldn't be more accurate. This is really a golden-white perfume, with all the luxurious asscoiations. It smells expensive and does great job as confidence boost (meaning the good kind of confidence, which is more about being warm and opened person, not the top-league corporate shark:) The plum and jasmine play dominant role here, overall it has a rich, balmy quality. Oh, and I detect a caramel (not listed) and peach, which turns the fragrance slighly towards gourmand category. It is bold and glamorous, there is also a vintage vibe around it (meaning its power: it's really strong and nothing like the typical modern pink lolipop fragrance category). People say it's mature, I think it's more about the gained self-awareness, as this perfume has personality and can really sparkle on the right person.

I like it - definitely a skin scent but it is well balanced and not offensive in its sillage. A great fall/winter floral amber scent.

Ok nice i like it! I worried it may be a bit basic smelling but it's actually pleasantly not. Creamy a bit, touch woody, well blended, little bit exotic fruity. It could easily be an avon scent - but it goes nicely and not chemical or commercial smelling. I like it I think it could be a a nice summer frag.

Beautiful opening. A little odd battle between floral, fruity, vanilla there, but then becomes more powdery as time goes on. A little strange in the dry down.

The Dahlia Divine range really doesn't seem to get a lot of attention and they are quite beautiful fragrances. The EDP is classy and feminine with just the right amount of maturity to appeal to a grown woman without smelling dated or overly mature. It is one of the fragrances I choose for an ocassion or day that I want to feel more serious. If I worked in a fragrance-friendly environment, Dahlia Divin would be in my work rotation. I find this fragrance serious, classy and understated. I think those descriptors mean some people will find Dahlia Divin a boring fragrance, especially people that want to be noticed for their fragrance. But sometimes I want something more subtle and under-the radar, not in performance, but in style. The opening is all about the fruits and citruses. They are sweet, fresh and juicy with the pink pepper giving it just the right amount of kick. As it settles the white florals and musk are the dominant notes for me. The brightness from the citrus starts to fade away and it becomes a warmer fragrance. As it dries down the florals stay quite present but they are supported by a stong earthy and woody base. The performance of this fragrance is pretty solid. It last 8+ hours, but with fairly light projection. For the first 1-2 hours it projects a little beyond arms length then stays within your personal space, becoming a skin scent toward the end of the day. This is the type of performance I want with a fragrance like this. It really suits the style. If it had a loud projection it would lose it's understated, refined qualities. I find this an all season fragrance and would make an excellent signature scent for someone looking for something beautiful, feminine, classy and subtle. I really like the bottle design. The style really fits the fragrance. It looks classic and elegant sitting on the dresser. The bottle is a nice heavy glass. The cap, while it looks nice, feels light and cheap and fits too tight. I really have to pull to remove it and sometimes it takes the atomizer housing with it. I have that problem with all the flankers to this fragrance. The atomizer is pretty average for a designer fragrance.

I love this one: very feminine, not too sweet, good projection, longevity and great drydown. Also a plus, not everybody is wearing this. It is being discontinued in the Netherlands so I may be getting this very quickly. Very underrated perfume house. I find it almost Niche quality. Beautiful classic bottle, works great with my skin. Could be a very good signature scent or an evening out fragrance as it is strong. The mirabelle plum is something I have to get used to but all in all this is a real beauty!

I have yet to try this, but I notice that it’s notes listed are quite dominantly woody, yet many reviews don’t mention this so I’m puzzled. Would anyone say this is like Chamade by Gurlain (I’d doubt it for a modern fragrance to achieve those heights). I do wonder why some of the online companies who have good customers on their books, can’t send out a sample before they order? I have spent a fortune buying family and friends very expensive fragrances for birthdays etc during this pandemic, and all online. It seems to me, reading the varied reviews of this fragrance, that one most certainly should have a sample before ordering it. Sure there are fragrances I know and love so well that such a thing would be unnecessary, but when a perfume like this, and a few others, I notice seem to have such a divide of opinion, the online companies should send a sample to well known good customers. After all during this terrible time we have all boosted their business and a little generosity never hurt any business.
