It smells like a lemonade but with grapefrut and orange 8nstead of citrus. Very nice. Sweet orangy smell

No joke, I sprayed this on my wrist and my cat jumped up on my bed and aggressively started sniffing around. I think she was looking for another cat based on the initial urine like smell of this perfume. There's no other way to explain it. The dry down gets a bit better after 10 mins, but there's still a sulfuric tinge to it.

The grapefruit is beautiful but sadly I'm getting the cat piss from the cassia here. Yuck.. but an otherwise beautiful fragrance if you don't smell that part of it

Realistic grapefruit bitterness, juicy, though at first I genuinely thought I had sprayed someone’s sweat onto my arm. But the drydown is beautiful — bitter citrus wrapped in green herbal tones. It evokes lemon balm and feels like the ideal fragrance for a morning refresh or the start of the day. Optimistic, bright, open, and a very unique interpretation of herbal citrus. Beautiful.

I'm a great lover of all citrus fragrances but this one is unique. Not many grapefruit fragrances out there . You get a very realistic Grapefruit, it's very fresh, aquatic and cool and invigorating. Not bitter, not sweet. Let me paint you a picture : you're sitting in a gorgeous café in an Italian garden during springtime. It's breezy and cool, and the there's a soft wiff of the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice you just ordered.

Best women's fragrance i've smelled.

I love the uniqueness of this scent. It's hard to find something that doesn't turn instantly into vanilla or jasmine nowadays. This is a pure, fresh citrus, sits close to skin, and is subtle and work-appropriate. Longevity varies, it has lasted variably between 2-6 hours on me - but I love reapplying, when you get that first hit of fresh grapefruit. It doesn't dry down into basil like mandarine basilic, or into a bitter masculine scent like orange soleia. It's stronger on skin, weaker on clothes. I haven't personally smelled any cat pee when wearing it, but if like me, other people have become a little paranoid after reading some of the reviews on here, I recommend only spraying it 2x max, and wearing it on clothes, that way your body chemistry won't risk affecting / altering the scent. This will be my signature scent all summer. Recommended after testing on skin.

I was gifted this fragrance by my mom when i was around 17 years old. I remember it was so juicy and mouthwatering fresh and zesty. I think about the memories while wearing this fragrance with so much joy and love in my heart. Absolutely my style of uplifting anti depressant healing potion💛🧡

It smells so yummy and citrus at first...like the beautiful rind of a ripe grapefruit.. But the longer I wore it something sad happened.. On me it smells like a tom cat sprayed a citrus tree in the middle of the summertime. Let me break it down a bit further. It smells like when someone has pissed in a toilet and hasn't flushed it then uses lemon scented spray to cover up that minging scent. I am a huge lover of citrus fresh scents, but this is not it. The dry down is cloying on me. The notes do not mix well. On my daughter it is a gorgeous scent. On my best friend it smells similarly as it does on me. Scent works differently on different people.

The supposed grapefruit feels genuine and not as artificial as I feel grapefruit fragrances does. But this is not the juicy flesh of a grapefruit, this is the white part between the flesh and the zest. The green notes are well blended and gives of a freshness that reminds me of… lemonbalm? I do really smell the grapefruit here, I do, but somehow, I feel like it smells mostly like a lemonbalm (Melissa officinali). What I smell gets a bit lost in translation which is why I included the latin name of what I smell here. The longer the scent stays on the skin, the sweeter it gets. At the same time, it still feels fresh and citrus-y. But you have to try it on warm skin during warm weather, that is when it truly shines. On cold skin it disappears before I even get to sniff it. I don’t want to lie; it disappears quickly on warm skin as well. I have worn this now on many occasions to really try it out, and I have never gotten to the vanilla dry down… But I will still justify putting this one on my want-list.

My mom bought me a small set of all the Aqua Allegoria scents when I was in middle school. Of all the scents, this was my favorite. I’ve thought about it many times over the years and finally bought it. It’s still beautiful and crisp like I remember, but unfortunately the reformulation has made it less sweet and much sharper. The grapefruit is very strong- no vanilla. This smells like the most put together person’s house after a deep, spring cleaning. My husband says it smells like insect repellent and yeah I can see that. Still enjoy it though as a freshie lover and out of pure nostalgia.

bright green damp-dry fresh green spice, like how a PICTURE of matcha powder might smell if that make sense. cushioned by fresh, non-cloying vanilla. uplifting, but not really my style. idk where yall got a photorealistic grapefruit

If this is meant to be a women's fragrance, then count me as one of the sisters. As a grapefruit enjoyer, this is one of the best in my opinion. The green elements mellow out (though still remain present), but merge with an aromatic sweetness. Longevity isn't too bad for a fragrance of this category, though it's definitely more of a personal scent as it tends to cling close to skin. Pamplelune deserves any and all praise it receives. Masterful work, another example of why Guerlain cements itself as one of the legends.

I know this is marketed towards women but as with a few in this line, I think it's unisex down the middle. I usually stay away from unisex/fem lean fragrances but have no reservations wearing this. Just a pleasant, grapefruit, green and musky woody fragrance that is not built to be a monster projector but rather one that has a decent self scent bubble that you enjoy. Very refreshing and quality notes. I'm surprised that fig isn't a note in this because it does remind me a little of fico by ADP without the creamy background. Overall it's a winner.

Usually reach for a spritz of this zesty fragrance when I need a morning boost. The grapefruit is photorealistic, but its still has the leaves attached quite green. Most recently, this winter, I sprayed it liberally on a warm wrap, so I could wrap myself up after an operation whilst alone in hospital. A mistake, too pungent even on day 2, with something vegetal and sour. Had to put in the cupboard it was making me nauseous. Fragrances are so mood and situation-specific aren't they? However by day 4, in my hospital room, I took the wrap out of the cupboard, it now had a soft lingering woody warmth still clinging to the wrap and a pleasant optimistic gentle opal fruit brightness. There's more to this fragrance then a reliable upbeat optimism.

First impression: Wow, so zingy! The perfume starts off beautiful. Grapefruit, zesty and sparkling. The touch of bergamot giving it a nice lemony freshness. A little green, a little bitter, but nice! 15 Minutes Later: It smells wet, funky, and sweaty. Like you're sticking your nose on the cold, wet, sweaty armpit of someone's discarded t-shirt after a long day while they're taking a shower in the next room and using a citrus body wash. I would rather step on a Lego every time I got out of bed for the rest of my life than smell like this for a day.

grapefruit sprinkled in fairy dust. designed for magical people

Timeless, beautiful and a fresh scent. Prominent zesty grapefruit note at first, after a while it becomes more soft and I the scent becomes more rounded annd sweet. Not sweet as in gourmand sweet. Just taking away the edge's of the strong graitfruit note. Easy to wear and so invigorating. I’m so happy that I blind bought it! A classic scent!

I use this as a wake-up fragrance in the morning or if I need a refresher during the day. It's strong grapefruit at first with some aromatics. Doesn't last long, up to an hour, becoming a skin scent quickly but suits its purpose nicely. I've had an older and a newer version. The older one is smoother with less grapefruit and aromatics and more vanilla.

After trying Allegoria Pamplelune in stores for years, summer after summer, and now, owning a full size bottle, I find compelled to echo the reviewer below, Whiffthis about how incredibly refreshing and photorealistic this scent smells like! And unique in the sphere of designer world! It’s very alluring, fruity, crisp, citrusy, green scent, tangy and slightly bitter but delicious in the same time! It’s not a complex fragrance but it’s perfectly blended. I don’t have many grapefruit dominant perfumes in my collection to compare Pamelune with, but I wanted this for almost a decade now, so that says something about its appeal… Sprayed on clothing, it’s unexpectedly long lasting for such a fresh perfume. No joke, I can smell it next day, lingering on fabrics. Wearing it on skin is less impressive but it’s not terribly weak. The sillage is rather minimal though! Being released a quarter of century ago, can be found online for relatively cheap prices. I would recommend getting a bottle of Allegoria Pamplelune to anyone who loves grapefruit. Maybe a bit on the feminine side grapefruit scent but so good... It’s such a beautiful, easy perfume to wear and suitable for day to day, casual, white tea shirt/jeans or linen dress. Light, bright and carefree, like a summer day while on holiday in the Mediterranean!

This scent is nothing short of a masterpiece. It's sad, happy and stirs up your deep, hidden memories from childhood. I don't know what it is but I don't think Jean-Paul Guerlain is capable of making anything less than amazing. It's truly sad that he's not making perfumes anymore. This is truly a work of art and I'm glad to have discovered it. Men, please don't be shy, you can definitely wear this. This can discombobulate certain women's defenses in the middle of summer, imho. Women, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Really love this perfume very fresh smell. It is really good. Lasts about 6 hours on skin on clothes can stay days if not washt.

Ohh, I find perfect scent combo for me - Pamplelune & Burberry Goddess. ❤️ This is love.

Анонім★★★★★

Insane natural candied grapefruit smell its absolutely lovely and one of the best smells OAT. But unfortunately like afternoon swim and others in this line it has absolutely no performance and I could realistically scrape 2-3 hours out of it which is so sad. smell 10/10 performance 2/10 overall 6/10 Please if somebody has other realistic citrus fragrances that last please please please shoot me a message

Oh man is this good. The best evocations of grapefruit across multiple accords without any of the “rough” parts of grapefruit. Well, that’s not strictly true. Some of that sulfuric acid type note of grapefruit is in Pamplelune but Mathilde Laurent (with the help of JPG, apparently, although I doubt she needed it) rounds it out so well that you can darn near appreciate it if not outright like it, as I do. It’s a photorealistic grapefruit grown by the world’s best grower of the ripest it should be allowed to be. It’s making my mouth water. The heart notes of neroli, primarily, but also a good dose of petitgrain and cassis is inspired. They do a marvelous job of pulling the citrusy, floral, green and acrid qualities of the grapefruit top all the way through to the heart while also presenting a very well-rounded green floral flair. Excellent. But the tricks don’t stop there. Finally, at the base, which arrives in a matter of about three hours as expected with a high-quality EdC, we get notes of patchouli and vanilla. But they aren’t your usual characters. The patchouli forgoes its usual sweet, earthy, topsoil dankness to present its more peppery side, complimented instead by a vanilla note that adds a sweetness with a light and airy texture that is simply wonderful. It reminds me a bit of the end of Habit Rouge - that little bit of earthy vanillic clingy-ness - that is light, breathable, silken and powdery, and far from oppressive. This is Aqua Allegoria at its best.

Can't really give an fair review of this perfume as the shipper sent a 4 year old bottle and it seems to have turned. It actually smells like a perfumey acrid multiple day sweat as a top note. Noticed another reviewer got the sweat note on the dry down, but in this bottle it is the top note. Fortunately, like other reviewers noticed, it doesn't last long. One should heed the advice of the reviewer who said to make sure to get a fresh bottle as this is not stable.

Victorious blind buy. 10/10. The opening is bright and fresh, as imagined... and the dry down has a hint of masculinity, but not enough to call it unisex. The patchouli is what's left after it dries down fully, but it's gentle. The vanilla is miniscule but there with the patchouli. It's very elegant, very spring and summer. Very happy with it

I've had my bottle for a year or more and have never worn the fragrance. I purchased this after hearing about it from a favorite YouTuber of mine. First sniff I got the very strong pungent scent of 'cat pee'. As I go along my fragrance journey I'm learning that some notes come across to our nose so differently and cassis is one for me that's a hit or miss (mostly misses). Today on this great Mother's Day I'm adding the new fragrances to my fragrance wardrobe and Pamplelune caught my eye, and I thought why not give her a sniff again. On paper and skin, as first sniff was only on paper. She seemed promising for about 10 minutes, fresh cut grapefruit. Juicy, sweet, tart, with a hint of bitter rind. Great, then cassis showed up and took over to my nose. So unfortunate, but I thought maybe I could layer her to save it. This fragrance needs a strong, sweet vanilla to balance her to me. I tried her with Vanilla Absolute 24 by Jahzara Kouture and it was good. But you have to do a ratio of 2 to 1. Pamplelune being the 1, lol. Now will I wear her out, maybe not. I'll continue playing with layering her on days I work from home. I don't want to write her off, but she's not ready for company in my humble opinion. Fragrances are such an amazing ride, how we all smell and interpret them! Makes the journey so enjoyable 😉. Get out and sniff them before purchasing. Testing on skin!!!

Amazing freshly squeezed grapefruit juice in the opening. Dry-down smells like sweat, not sexy or intriguing in any way as some reviewers say (unless you actually like the smell of sweat, who am i to judge)

Love the grapefruit opening but then the cassia comes through, which unfortunately gives me cat pee...
