I smelled it and stole my father's ;))) after so many years, stil such a sexy masculine fragrance. It feels powerful and timeless. I wear and cherish it, and can't get enough of it.

The sandalwood is filling my nose with the squeaky, cringey sensation you get when soap gets in your mouth. Pour Homme my ass. It's pour that old great-aunt you can't relate to in any way, and especially not in the weird fragrances she chooses.

A timeless masterpiece 🏆 for the fall 🍁 ❤️ even the current version isn't that bad !

A favorite scent that I’ve owned since day one! The genius of L'Instant lies in how it feels heavy yet light all at once. It’s incredibly unique, classy, and commands a strong presence. I love how it radiates warmth and lasts forever on the skin. I recently picked up the EDP, but this version is just a little bit better in my opinion. It wears best when the temperature drops.

It was love from first smell. I miss it so much! Is it the same as L'Instant Homme?

This is one of the few perfumes that I've bought more than twice, and it's one that i love at times and i completely forget at others. Bought a new bottle 6 months, and didn't use it until today, and wow, this captures the essentof french perfumery at heart, its complex, yet appealing and the more you use it, the more you appreciate it. A masterpiece piece, and it's even more refined and balanced than the EDP. I don't recall any differences between the new version and the old ones, but I think the citrus notes in the new editions are more round, refined, and do last longer than the older versions, and it might just be me, since i don't have an old bottle, it's all from memory. This is my third review for this masterpiece, first was 2011, second was 2014, and I'm really happy and also surprised that I've been using and loving this for over 13 years now. Thank you Beatrice.

I got this when I was, 25. Almost 10 years ago. Divine cocoa, orange/citrus vibes, patchouli, delicious. It's almost gourmand, but the florals are super present in the drydown. 9/10. Remake this. Please for the love of god, and make it last. This is one of the best spring fall scents of all time.

This is modern Guerlain at its best, blending the house’s classic style (signature citrus top against an ambery backdrop), on the one hand, with a contemporary sensibility (a warm and dusty cacao that gestures toward gourmand-adjacent territory), on the other. The late Béatrice Piquet did something special in this 2004 masculine. The hesperidic top with anise and lavender feels bright as day, but it’s the marriage of cacao and patchouli that’s the main story here. It makes for an earthy, chocolatey, warm, and ambery profile; an impression that the elemi resin in the base serves to deepen. A lapsang souchong tea leaf aspect is present, giving it a faint but distinctive peaty smokiness. The overall effect is bright, warm, boozy, and semisweet, with a silky smooth creaminess that is suave and inviting. The patchouli threads a needle to the musky floral base provided by the hibiscus seed, rendering the long drydown soft, supple, and natural. It wears lightly yet has a robustness and an elegance that make it versatile: it feels just as fitting with a suit and a tie as it does with jeans and a white tee. My favorite Guerlain masculine of the 21st century. Gorgeous.

Got a bottle thats probably like 15 years old and it still so incredibly good. Such a deep, balanced and refined smell you dont find often.

Oh my gosh, I am overwhelmed by how good this is and how underrated it is. Everyone always talks about the Extreme version. Why? This version is perfection. This is no such thing as an improvement upon perfection.

This is a trendsetter for the latest niche. in the realm of fine French perfume artistry. This is a work of inspiration and big imagination. Lucky I stocked up on it 10 years ago (8 bottles at $46 each) . This can't be compared in my opinion. Stande alone and whatever i smell afterwards seems like a derivative.

Absolute olfactive erotica.

This was the first scent I wore as my signature when I was 21. I just now found a gift set if this online for a reasonable price. It came in the mail today and let me tell you, I am so glad I did. It smells as good on me at 36 as it did then.

Cocoa patchouli bomb. Gives vintage vibes. Think of warm lights, cream suit, spectator shoes and cigars. Not everybody's cup of tea. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection:6/10 Sillage: 6/10

Exquisite, a masculine masterpiece. The "men" who don't like this can stick to their le male elixir syrupy frat bro clubbing shite. This is pure class. Guerlain is for the big boys: suits, sports coats, and button-up shirts. This is not for the tracksuit, t-shirt, and vape pen crowd. I don't mean that in a classist or condescending way at all, I mean it simply in terms of mentality. Fresh shave, mid-grey suit, a couple of sprays of this god-tier juice, and out the door you walk into Autumn/Fall feeling like a million bucks. This is better than the Extreme. More versatile, and more intelligent in the delicate way its blend transforms from opening to dry down. 10/10.

This is a timeless masterpiece. I will forever cherish this scent.

Love this bottle. Very masculine. Has everything I love and want to project. Friend throughout the day and night.

i've had this bottle for a little while (via a swap) and just wore it the other day and feel compelled to say: this is really very nice indeed. i got wafts of something slightly sweet-chocolatey-patchouli-ish and woody-spiced yet sheer and not at all heavy all day -- it's really well done (well duh. it's guerlain.) happy to have it. might wear again today.

First bottle type, early batches, around 2010-2011 or so. This is one for the hall of fame of men's fragrances. Basically, It smells like the L'instant eau extreme, but with a more sharper green opeing. After that, very alike, basically the same fragrance, but even in the begining there are mere differences. Great performance, after almost 9 hours, i sense It around me very strong. I do not own many fragrances that still go strong after that much time. Yet, like it's edp version lidge, i do not think that this pushes far from the wearers space, but in that bubble, It is freanking strong, You will sense It around You all day, and not just wiffs...strong. Another thing with this fragrance, just like with lidge...the smell is very apreciated by men, yet women don't seem to find this fragrance appealing. Don't know why exactly, i find It to be quite unisex. To sumarise, this has got to be one of the greatest smelling fragrences ever, especially for an Edt, just like the eau extreme version.

Tried an old tester that sat on a shelf for years. Miles ahead the current version in terms of projection and longevity. The current one is weak, to say the least. Scentwise, stronger on the cacao, a bit more heavy in a good way. I clearly prefer this one. This one is bottle worthy. The current EDT one, I try it sometimes, and that's it, simply because it lacks character and performance. 10/10

just bought a full bottle, at first spray I find that the scent is very very strong I immediately got noseblind to it. but later i noticed the scent is a bit different from my decant I bought earlier, probably the bright orange is less & the cocoa & spices is much more prominent, SPL is just ok, nothing great about it, but the scent is really addictive I keep coming back to it, much like my platinum egoiste, a very gentlemanly scent. Not that it has any close similarity.

Анонім★★★★★

review based on sample, I love this from the first spray. fresh spicy opening + fresh cocoa dry down, this is a fresh frag this will totally works in the cold. will get a full bottle soon Update, got the full bottle, didn't know it was a 125 ml bottle. it was even better because I got an even better value for money. After maceration the performance gets even better.

Sexy, semi-old school, masculine and interesting. Fresh photorealistic cacao powder, lavender, zesty natural lemon and grapefruit, aromatic sandalwood and fresh tea. All sublimated into a refined, mild concoction. I do wish it were more of a projector, and am looking forward to finding that effect when I try the eau extreme version. Radiates just off the skin for me. Very nice take on a mature cologne. Stands apart from other fragrances that can be similarly categorized.

This fragrance has so many facets and is so complex that I could take 10 different people and they'd describe it 10 different ways. I have an older bottle of this beauty. It's citrus, it's patchouli, cacao, sandalwood, florals, spices (anise is prominent) it's musky. It's everything you could ever want in one perfume. There's something about it, that is just so pure, smooth, relaxing, refined, and classy without trying too hard. This fragrance has been copied and spun off a million times by a million houses. To me, this is the quintessential French gentleman's fragrance. What gives it that distinct French flair and is an underrated but key linchpin here, is the musk. It's something that is only found in classic French perfumery, and gives it a little sweet, tangy and slightly vinegar twang.I'd swear it's a pheromone type ingredient and you don't smell it in 99% of modern releases. Classy, classic, and brilliant perfumery that has been often replicated, but never quite matched. New bottles I'm told have sadly lost the magic so I will cherish my vintage bottle and hopefully find another for a fair price because it's a masterpiece. -------------------------------------------- Scent 10/10 Performance 6/10

Love this on my husband. Super elegant and masculine, smooth, refined. Love the initial fresh citrus notes but the drydown with the cacao note is the best part.

Анонім★★★★★

Please avoid buying the new version of this perfume (square bottle) . It has poor performance compared to this version of which is phenomenal

Анонім★★★★★

I encourage you to check out the review by @thegreekone below. He describes the scent as “heavy and light at once” Yes! That is the canon definition of this fragrance. It is a delicate gourmand that purrs. Think chocolate, citrus and nuts with no sugar. It's a complete fragrance.

Анонім★★★★★

Maybe I got a wonky bottle, but how is Mancera Cedrat Boise not on the "Reminds Me Of" list? This is at least 90% CB, so I felt compelled to add it. Anyway, if you like Cedrat Boise, you'll probably like this. Do you need both? This doesn't seem as "bubbly," which might be a good thing for some. I like it and think it works well for most occasions, but if you want a nice Guerlain for summer, l'Eau Boisée is where it's at.

Анонім★★★★★

I'd never forget how great this is as an elegant perfume to go to in gloomy day. It's not like monster trail or silage. But its cacao-patchouli combo definitely gives comfort and class. Stays 7+ hrs as skin scent, delicious musky skin scent
