I would love to sample this if anyone has it. On my quest for violet perfumes.

Just a little review to share that THE FAVOURITE by Penhaligon's smells extremely similar to METEORITES LE PARFUM EDT by Guerlain.

Reminds me of Calgon Perfect bliss which is discontinued. It brings good memories 😌

Definitely the scent of Guerlain Meteorites pearls! When I first tried this, I didn't think that it smelled like the Meteorites powder. I even compared the scent on my wrist to my container of Meteorites pearls and felt a little bit disappointed although I liked the scent itself. It was not candied cosmetic powder but it was green and powdery. I decided to wear it for the day and applied as I normally would. It does, in fact, smell like the Meteorites powder after it has settled where it becomes more violet and slightly sweet, especially on clothing. I am so happy!

I put this on my skin when it was released and I really didn't like it. I imagine it's the violet that I really didn't like, and since then I avoid any fragrance with violet in it. I remember it stayed on my clothing at the time around my neck and I couldn't wait to take it off.

I really miss this perfume. My mom purchased it years ago for me because she used other Guerlain scents and this was perfect for me at the time. I also remember the Baby Glow Foundation “ infused with "rainbow" pearl pigments” left my skin like a baby; also discontinued. I love violet scents because they remind me of my mom because her natural body scent smells like the Meteorites powder. This perfume didn’t smell exactly like the powder but still similar and I loved it and completely finished it. I do have the powder and I don’t really use it, just smell it when I miss my moms scent. (She still uses Guerlain but her favorites are other perfumes now) I remember when I was little, she had a little Guerlain decant flask that was so fancy and she’d carry it in her purse. I called her last night to ask her for it in hopes she has it somewhere but she doesn’t recall.

This is such a lovely soft floral which gives me violet and gives me a very feminie young woman vibe. It’s not one that screams I’m here it just softly announces itself and after about 2 hours becomes a skin scent. It’s actually very lovely and soft and one to keep out for spring and summer. This makes me smell clean and fresh like a “just got out of shower” scent. Guerlain always makes some of the best fragrances out there and worth money IMHO. Recommended 10/10 not one to wear in fall but do what you want….who am I to day 😂

Sweet powdery violets with some tartness from the apple. Unlike many I enjoy the the apple note here, it makes the scent fresh&playful in a way that is rare in violet centered fragrances. Great for spring!

Excellent green apple-based opener. On my skin, the apple is barely noticeable, and the perfume is deeper, more complex, and more balanced. Longer lasting strength than thought, around 6 hours, violets aplenty yet fresh. I adore the woody dry down, the unsweetened green and powdery aspects of the violet note, and the enchantment of it all. It's lovely, fanciful, ethereal, smells antique, and is wonderfully feminine.

Nice powdery floral fragrance, but to me this isn't similar to the scent of Guerlain Meteorites face powder, nor the original Meteorites fragrance. I also find the musk in the drydown a bit sickening.

Discontinued, I'm selling a sealed bottle, contact me. Powdery, powdery, powdery rose, violet and white musk. It's a beautiful makeup scent, I've always been in love with their Météorites. The apple adds an acidic and girly touch, it reminds me of Rosa Pop and Insolence EDT. But it's more dry, lighter, frivolous. Synthetic components could make this fragrance easily smell cheap, but not at all. It's very cute and I rarely describe perfumes being this way. This one is quite steady, doesn't change much throughout the day. It reminds me of Champs-Elysées EDT, because of the green accord, the cassis, the mimosa, the rose and the woody base but they are very different of course.

@CateCate Guerlain answered my email, Les Meteorites was not again in production and it will not be. It s discontinued and they will not produced it anymore. Few bottles has been maybe available in some stores as old remained stock, and that was for a couple of days in the end of 2021. Unfortunately, this little gem is gone 😞

I don't think of violets as having a smell so maybe I'm anomic to them in any formula. All I get here is very faint powder. I can get that smell by wearing powder, so there's not much of a point to this fragrance for me. Happy for those of you who have a different experience with it but this is a pass for me.

As I love the smell of the compacts I purchased Meteorites in edt. It definitely smells like the Meteorites compact which I can smell all day long on my face. The edt, not so much. A lovely sweet fragrance but doesn't last long. Have to spray on clothing and hair. It is pretty but I prefer Insolence.

People, i’m very happy to inform you that Meteorites is back on Guerlain’s official website, so i guess it’s been put back into production! That’s great as i do love this perfume. Honestly, performances could and should be better, especially for a Guerlain that’s not really cheap, but that violet, that beautiful powdery note and that freshness at the same time.. it’s soft like a cloud, reassuring, bright and happy, but absolutely versatile: you can wear it whatever age you are and whatever occasion or time of the day it is! Meteorites doesn’t evolve very much, it’s linear and amazing, from the beginning ‘til the end. 🎀

This fragrance is happy, delicate and clean. I admit it doesn't evolve much. There is sweet powdery violets, crisp synthetic apple-pear, and something in the background that reminds me of cereal milk. In a word, it's "cute." I would really enjoy smelling it on others, but on me the apple note in fragrances often takes over and this is no exception, so I decided against buying a full bottle. It does remind me of Rosa Pop. Both have a soft powdery violet base- Meteorites is topped with crisp green apples and Rosa Pop is topped with crisp pink flowers.

If Insolence had a little sister that would be Météorites. Like Insolence, Météorites is dominated by violets and rose, but here the combination is quirkier and more fun. Maybe it's the combination of light apple notes and Mimosa, but Météorites feels kind of playful and free-spirited. It starts as a full powder brush, gets sweet, lovely and slightly woody but is quite short-lived. I did not even get a full four hours out of my application. While she remains the offspring of the same comfortably living middle-class family as her sister she still has a drop of air and life in her. My problem with Insolence is that the fragrance reads as a stiff grown-up woman who takes great effort in being well-liked. Météorites, on the other hand, is a GIRL and enjoys being it. She might get on your nerves from time to time but she is very happy with who she is.That is why, regardless of the aspects about her that you might not like, in the end you cannot help being endeared by her. Météorites is a nice scent. I don't think I will ever buy a bottle, but since this product manages to be both - to be something well-proved yet kind of free-spirited - I can appreciate it. I recommed this kind of fragrance for people who want a girly kind of smell that has class.

-Opens as a light, airy scent. -It's a fun scent- fruity with the green apple notes, and a touch of photorealistic powder. -I don't know how, but Thierry Wasser has managed to put these notes together without making the overall fragrance lean too childish. -Reminiscent of lightly scented cosmetics from the counters of TF or Guerlain. -Linear scent. -Overall a light, pleasant scent that's wearable for everyday. (-) *Update* -After wearing this for the forth or fifth time, something in this comes across a touch too sour and sickening to be worn for extended spans of time. -I guess the search for a pretty, powdery scent continues. Don't get me wrong- it's still a pretty scent. Just not one I find fbw. (-)

I want to love this. It’s beautiful and fairy-like. But the violet is just too much for me. If you love sweet, candy violet this would be perfect. The musky, powdery base is beautiful - but the violet just doesn’t work for me.

In an effort to correct post Covid 19 anosmia , I have applied a different fragrance frequently. Yesterday , it was this lovely. It is faint to me , but still detectable , thank goodness! Such a nice, pleasant friend Meteorites is !

This is a scent for those who love the Guerlain meteorites powder. Go to a makeup counter and sniff the Guerlain pearls, that is exactly what this perfume smells like! Guerlain pearls are a collectors item in the beauty world and the artful containers the powders come in are refillable so they can be with you for a lifetime. The scent is light - but I wouldn't call it a skin scent... it's just not heavy in the least. I find something classic in the violet and musk that smells very similar to other fragrances but is still entirely unique here. While I rate this a true 10/10, I think for most this would be an acquired taste and only 6/10 in the popular market.

I apologize to all who adore this, but it's just not for me. It opens with a fresh, fruity shampoo scent, generic but good quality as far as shampoos are concerned. Black currant and cassis lend a little bit of bitter "pissiness," but it's perfectly at home with the juicy green apple. I wasn't in love, but I had high hopes at this point. All of a sudden it became SUGARY sweet. Powdered sugar, specifically. From this confectioner's cloud came a twinkle of the promised violet, but it was nearly completely obscured by inauthentic rose. It was the idea of rose, like an artificial, abstract "pinkness" that someone labeled "rose," having had no hands-on experience with the flower itself. It was at this point I decided the fragrance was unwearable. About an hour later it became a faint orris-musk with hints of residual mimosa. Very boring, similar to several other scents I outgrew long ago. Actually gave me a bit of a headache and I had to wash it off. The only thing this has going for it is that the note arrangement is all silky smooth, like Guerlains always are. No screechiness, no dissonance. I suspect this might play out differently on clothes than it does on my skin (and consequently it may play out differently on someone *else's* skin) but my body chemistry has spoken. Verdict: I'll Pass.

Am I the only one who gets the 80's version of Mr Bubble bubble bath out of this? I blind bought the most recent release of this (2018) formulation and the first spray immediately took me back to my young self, in the tub, water splashing on my feet while pouring loads of shimmery pink bubble bath out of the silly pink bubble-man shaped bottle. It gives me such a comforting feeling that it has become my bedtime, sad time, rainy day, chase the blues away scent! It doesn't project, it has moderate longevity, and it isn't particularly original, but man....I love this!! I can spray it when I have a tension headache and it helps it go away instead of making it worse. There is nothing sharp or cloying about it- its fruity, soft and powdery. So glad I have this in my collection!

I just...wow. This was love at first sight AND love at first smell. Through the shop window I saw a beautiful pink bottle and had to go in and smell (through my face mask) it, and I almost dropped it to the floor because I was so shocked and excited. The most amazing greenish pink smell I have ever smelled. Its smells like a mix of a bright pink sunset on a walk home from a social gathering, my grandmothers old applegarden and my mothers powder boxes growing up. I get violets, powder, green apples, a little musk and maybe some pink flowers from this. I didnt buy it at the store that day when I first smelled it, but I thought about it, beautiful pink bottle and that pretty smell, for weeks (!!) until I could not resist buying it. Now I am using it everyday and I get so many compliments! Even a stranger at the bus stop said I smelled incredibily good. Im so happy. 10/10 for me

I'm so glad I took a chance on this perfume. When it came out, I dismissed it out of hand because of the green apple note; it's a note I generally can't stand, and I was afraid it would smell like Be Delicious and boring shampoo. It was available for a good price online, and I decided to go for it. I don't smell green apple at all, only the heavenly violet and mimosa of my dreams. The packaging is so pretty, and it's such an elegant, makeup-y fragrance. Yes, it is kind of weak, but I don't mind reapplying.

I really enjoyed this one--slightly fruity up top but dries down quite close to my pearls. I was shocked to see the Guerlain website label it "end of collection." Discontinued already??

As others have said, this feels different from the original Meteorites perfume, which felt more like a straightforward violet. The green apple and "fresh green notes" are fine at the top--better than sugary candy floss--but don't add anything super exciting to me. When those burn off, the violet does reveal itself more. In the drydown, this shares a textural element with the first incarnation--a chewy, kind of doughy, violet-orris accord that feels to me like the central overlap between the two scents. Wasser's new version skews more fruity violet, and the discontinued classic reads more orris powder. Perfectly lovely and I enjoy wearing it, though others' scent preconceived notions will definitely be super femme.
