Néroli Outrenoir

With all respect it's not even close to Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver. I've been using both for ages.

The more perfumes you try, the more difficult your taste becomes... But with this fragrance, I can tell you it's the most beautiful perfume I've tried this year. The orange blossom note with tea and citrus is like entering a luxurious mall; love at first whiff. 🍊🍋🌱

i with all respect gotta give this an ok. now personally i love guerlains line, But this wasn't what I expected. It opens up very bright and fresh—basically just neroli with a sort of "cold tea" vibe. But where it gets strange for me is the dry-down; it starts to become creamy and thick, as if there were sandalwood in it, and that’s what I find off-putting. Personally, though, I think you can wear it in any season and any weather, because it’s versatile. Personally, I’d love it if there were more vanilla and more of a "normal tea" vibe.

Quite possibly the best fragrance i’ve ever smelt. ‘Masterpiece’ gets thrown too often, but this runs it close. A gorgeous citrusy black tea that dries down to a smoky vanilla tea. This is ‘Imagination’ grown up.

I get 0 compliments on this and even tried to ask friends what they thought of it and they were underwhelmed... this is fragrance for tea lovers and connoisseurs. Obviously I ignored the advice and I still bought it because this is borderline life changing to me, I don't think I've enjoyed a scent more in my life. This is therapy in a bottle, my confidence and mood goes up by like 1000% and u really have to think about how fragrances make you feel first and foremost.

This fragrance is a perfect mix of citrus, tea, and then a change to a light vanilla for me. I look forward to wearing this daily. I bought this for my Spring/Summer rotation and fits nicely. I feel like I'm walking around a spa all day long. Very beautiful.

Move over imagination the king of tea is here, bow down to the master but layering imagination and neroli is exquisite had to trade two Louis Vuitton partials plus cash for a 200ml bottle worth every penny

I have more than 100 bottles of perfumes, this one , Nerolic Outrenoir, is definitely my favorite one. So fascinating and delicate, the tea scents always made my day. Surely it’s expensive, but trust me it’s worthy of every single penny.

This is a masterpiece that if I can afford I will wear for the rest of my life

It's nice but at the end of the day it is a neroli-citrus-tea scent. I don't get the Outrenoir part. The whole point of the name was that it was based on a painter who only used black paint and did different textures and stuff. This is a relatively light daytime scent; nothing noir about it. I definitely see the comparisons to Wulong Cha, which I have. I would consider them to be too similar as to not own both.

Neroli Outrenoir opens fresh, citrusy, and musky. Tangerine is the first citrus to detect. Quickly this becomes resinous. The tea is prominent in the Sillage, but as you get closer it’s really ambery, woody and soft smoky in the base. I’m shocked at how smoky this is. Unisex leaning masculine. There is an earthy ambery facet that reminds me of Royal Oud by creed (obviously this is fresher). The tea is gorgeous in the air but I wish it stuck around. Performance is ok. 6 hours skin with 3 in the air. Overspray it.

I don't know if I received the wrong sample, but the sample I received smells just like Herbes Troublantes, which I already own.

Opens bright with touch of citrus after, you get dark and smokey tea with hints of neroli florals that dries down to a creamy light vanilla with a touch of sweetness. Personally, this is a tea fragrance for me much more so than a neroli one despite it's name. When I'm looking for a neroli forward scent for those blistering days to evoke sun baked sand dunes, Neroli Plein Sud is my choice within the Guerlain line. Loumari AOMAK, TF Neroli Portifino and LV On the Beach are some of my other neroli go to's from other houses. The bergamote/citrus top fades very quickly on this and I will sometimes layer with Bergamote Fantastico Extrait 11 or Le Labo Bergamote 22 for a bit more of the bitter zest depending on mood. Doing so reminds me of a London Fog even well into the dry down especially with the extrait lasting just as long as the tea notes. Wonderfully blended, one of my top 10 from Guerlain.

Sweet fresh earthy tea opening, surprisingly pulls a lot more spicy rather than citrus on my skin, so much so it’s coming off even spicier and sharper than neroli plein sud.

A citrus, neroli and tea scent. The neroli here is a green, bitter one, making it very realistic. And very soothing scent, as is usually the case with tea scents.

This one wasn't for me, although I can appreciate what Guerlain was trying to do. Right from the opening, I got a strong blast of tea along with a citrus note that i can't identify, but my first thought was lime. The problem wasn't that I disliked the scent itself. I actually like tea. I just don't think I like smelling like tea. Throughout the wear, I felt like I was having to sniff through the tea note to get to the parts of the fragrance that I really enjoyed underneath. As it dried down, the fragrance became much more pleasant. There was a soft powderiness that I liked, and the overall composition felt elegant and well-made. That said, this is not something I would wear. Even after 5 hours, it gave me the impression of a sophisticated older woman rather than something that felt like me. The drydown was nice, but not nice enough to make me want to get through the opening to reach it.

Amazing. Like drinking a sweetened peach iced tea on a hot summer day. I’ve been looking for my perfect tea scent and I love that this has a heavy dose of sweetness to it. Opens with a bright citrus/neroli, then I get the sweetness and dries down to a beautiful black tea with the slightest hint of smoke. It feels like opening a bag of tea leaves and taking a big whiff. My most expensive perfume to date and I’ll probably have to go on a no-buy after this but it was worth it.

This is a bit of a beast on me and I love it when I want that. This is a sparkling, bright, uplifting and buoyant scent. If you love the scent of earl grey with lemon you will love this. To that though, it adds a real depth that makes magic like only Guerlain can manage.

I'm furious. Like, big-big mad. Drunk-scrolling on one of the fragrance trade and sales groups on FB, I saw someone post that they had 10ml decants of Neroli Outrenoir for sale. It's not my fault that my PayPal details just fell into my phone. The wine did it. It whispered "Girl, you don't have full-bottle Guerlain money... just get this instead. What's the harm?" I'm not a neroli lover, I shrugged. I'm safe. HUBRIS. Don't look at me. I knew not what I was doing. A few days later a glass vial arrived, cocooned in bubble-wrap like a sweetly-snoozing, innocent-looking amber-coloured panacea to sooth the raging beast of impulsive blind-buying that lives within us all. Traitorous little bitch, upon first sniff it became absolutely clear that there was nothing innocent or snoozy about this juice AT. ALL. Transporting. That's the first word that came to mind. A grey-skied London was left behind in an instant- I was like a siren in a Herbal Essences shampoo ad, instantly whisked away to a rainforest oasis to shower under a waterfall. That sparkling citrus burst hit me first, so hard I genuinely think my third eye or root chakra or something else awakened in me. I could hear colours. I could see music. I was away in the clouds. Then the grounding, slightly damp and mossy astringency of black tea wrapped its way around my ankles to pull me back to earth. Wet from the waterfall, dizzy-drugged with intoxicating citrus, and now romping and rolling around in wet, fertile soil with someone unbelievably sexy, surrounded by crushed waxy-white petals. Sacred-ritual love-making, scented with sticky-sweet resins burned over an open fire. Its grip on me abated, just about, and I felt like I was in the most expensive, luxurious spa. Coddled in the fluffiest white robe, cuddled by damp, heavenly-smelling steamy air, sipping on a hot, sweet lemon black tea as the rain pelted down outside. Mind you, it's actually 8.15am, and I'm coming down from a multi-sensory hallucinatory trip while I stand in my hallway, halfway out the door and late for work. For fuck's sake. For the rest of the day, it clung to my clothes occasionally sending nostalgic wafts of white-floral intoxication straight to my synapses. I missed my rainforest lover and my waterfall. It wasn't a decant. It was a masterfully sneaky, calculatedly created wallet assassin, designed specifically to bankrupt wine-addled imbeciles like me. Don't do it. Don't smell it. For the love of god, don't even LOOK at it, unless you're happy living off ramen for the next two months with a shiny new bottle on your shelves and a Guerlain-sized ballistic hole in your bank account. On the upside though, you'll smell so good that strangers want to nuzzle your neck, and it will be the start of your romantic lead character arc, so.

The name made me sceptical since I usually don’t lean towards citrusy scents (i find they are often sharp and cold). I’m SO glad i got a sample that made me try it - otherwise I would have missed out on one of my most loved scents. It’s a warm, floral and citrusy black tea with a round sweetness. For me its a perfect easy reach zen-perfume. Light yet complex. Just lovely!

I don't know, I'm not crazy about this one... whereas I'm addicted to its little brother Néroli Plein Sud, this one smells like a very earthy black tea to me with hardly any neroli and no white florals at all. I'd like to wear it more and get to experience it a little better but I don't think that one's for me.

Smells exactly like the Ritz Carlton. If you’ve ever smelled their signature black tea candle it’s spot on.

Those complaining about the sweetness are out of their minds. I'm sorry I know fragrance is subjective and for them it's too sweet but have they smelled anything designer?? Neroli Outrenoir is perfectly balanced. It has so many sharp, bitter notes that need tempering from the “sweeter” myrrh, and benzoin. Mhyrr and benzoin. This is really a fragrance you must test on skin as the base really shines that way. I'm glad I swapped my back up 75 ml Angelique Noire for 75ml of Neroli Outrenoir. There is nothing else like it- some are close but there is an androgenous elegance to Neroli Outrenoir. Note: this fragrance has fantastic projection and longevity. Please beware of fakes. You will know if the top doesn't twist off and the cap and label look cheap. You can also take off the cap and look around the white house, you should see a gold double circle- the inner one is indented. Fakes are flat.

It is a very beautiful tea scent, but I do agree with others who think it's too sweet. It's citrus, tea + sugar to me
