Halle

This is a bit too ambery powderish to me. I would def not pay what they are asking on Ebay. It's also been discontinued for a long long time. You are taking a chance on how well the seller keep the bottle stored, or who they bought it from, did. Really it's kind of generic.

This was my first “grown up” perfume. I bought it when I was in my first apartment, and I wish I could find it again at a reasonably price. I miss this scent so much. I hate powdery or overwhelming scents, and this isn’t. It’s such. A perfect comfort scent.

I got this when I was a tween, and I loved it and used it very sparingly because I wanted it to last. I always remembered the scent, but couldn’t verbalize it or ever even find it. The part that I fell in love with was the right out of the bottle spray. Long story short, I found one that dries down to that scent. It’s not on this site yet though. It’s Désirée Celeste Golden Halo.

I've had a small bottle since 2009 (still do). Running low a few years ago, I discovered it was discontinued. So I'd search from time to time, to no avail. Yesterday, random Googling led me to Women's 748 from Palermo Perfumes (I'm in Australia) - I drove to the shop and blind-bought it on the spot. Not 100%, but very close! Better than Shakira, Away Tonight, and La Belle which all I also have. Hope they bring the original back.

Sweet Amber deliciousness.

I had this back in high school and LOVED it. I would have considered it one of my signature scents. It was one that made me really fall in love with perfume. I would definitely describe it as oriental and almost like if a bowl of select fruit, spice and flowers could be made into an incense? There is a warmth that is very sensual about it and I love(d) wearing it in the summer months because the heat of the sun almost amplified the smell and made it last longer. I really miss this scent. I love reading all the love it gets from others too. I purchased it off Ebay last year and still wear it.

I had this for several years. I absolutely loved it in the fall and winter months. The reach on it was far enough that I regularly had comments and inquiries about what it was. It was amazing how so few people actually knew it existed. I wish she'd bring it back.

I wore this fragrance years ago! It was my signature fragrance. I recently found it on Mercari and overpaid for it. There is no other fragrance like this on the market! Timeless classic I wish Halle would bring it back.

I blind bought La Belle by JPG based off the last two comments. It does, indeed, smell very similar to Halle by Halle Berry. Love it!

Just remembered that I really wanted to post this. Halle is my all time favorite fragrance, I've been searching for a replacement for years and I finally found it in JPGs La Belle. Like ShondaBlush already wrote: it's not an exact dupe, but please give it a try!

I recommend La Belle by JPG if you’re looking for a replacement. From what I remember, the dry down is similar to my nose.

This is discontinued!? I used to love this! The amber note was simply captivating in this fragrance. The juice was sexy, yet sophisticated, great for an evening out. Longevity and sillage were both great with this too. This fragrance just came to mind to repurchase. I just checked my favorite online fragrance site and could not find it! So sad to hear it is discontinued...

I'd love for this to comeback

This is one of my forever top 5 favorite fragrances. I'm so sad because it's discontinued and the only sales I can find are hundreds of dollars which is isane to me. It was one of my signature scents for the winter time and my last bottle was stolen when I had a party a few years back. I know who took it but couldn't prove it. This among 2 other perfumes of mine were taken that night. I couldn't find a replacement since. I've tried imitation sites that make oils, and looked on here for similar fragrances and none of those match at all. Does anyone have any clue where to buy this beautiful fragrance for reasonable pricing? UPDATE: I was at a local mall and asked one of those perfume joints and the lady said she might have it and to give her 15 minutes. She had two! $200 each! I was so hesitant because realistically that's ridiculous. She knocked it down to $100, and I handed her my card. It was brand new medium size though but it'll last. It's a holiday season scent for me usually but obviously I am wearing it now because I missed it so much!

Oh my god this was my very first perfume EVER. I think I got it as a gift when it has just come out in 2009-2010 ish and I must have been 10 or 11. I don't remember exactly the smell as it's been years but I do know that when I smelled Dolce and Gabbana The Only One I got hit with this wave of nostalgia and it reminded me of this. I also had no idea what noyes were in this until now. Fig leaf, amber, and bergamot? Those ended up being some of my favorite notes as an adult over a decade later. I'm so sad to see this isn't around anymore. To be fair I remember just how grown up and sexy it smelled and it was NOT an appropriate first fragrance for an 11 year old. I'm pretty sure what happened was my mom got a gift set and she had the bigger bottle and gave me the little one, so I was just so excited to match with her. I am no longer the same little girl, in fact I'm a gay trans man now. But I think this is what planted the seed for my love of perfume and to see that the notes ended up becoming some of my favorite ones ever is really cool. Sorry this wasn't exactly a review, I just had to share.

Not bad but not the best. I received this as a gift and I wouldn’t buy this for myself. I wear it to bed and layer it with body spray and it enhances the scent. It smells only like amber, nothing special at all.

Fyi this perfume smells NOTHING like Warm Amber ( I own it) ridiculous

I'm wearing this perfume today right before fall starts and it smells great. I'm really smelling the Amber, driftwood, fig leaf and musk...smells so sexy.

I so much miss this...and no Shakira, Adidas, Balenciaga and especially not Cashmir are not similar to it. Others recommended I haven't tried. Actually Shakira might be the most similar while Adidas is way too fruity-sweet.

This one has grown on me....the smell has some woody qualities that I think make it a good fall and winter scent.

If you miss this one (like I do), go for Balmain Extatic - maybe the opening is different but the drydown is basically the same on me😀

I miss this scent so much! Warm, sexy and inviting. Perfect for date night. I remember men really liking this scent. I wish I could still find this one!

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm actually very surprised to see all of the notes that went into this perfume as I can't really pick out most of them. This is the somewhat similar to Shakira's Elixir perfume. But whereas Elixir is more "balmy" and "dry," this one is more flirty and much sweeter. Elixir's younger sister if you will. Anyway...it's gorgeous. When I first got it a few years ago it was only a moderate like for me and I rarely reached for it. I randomly gave it another try a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how much I loved it and I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. An absolute shame that this one has been discontinued. The big 3.4 ounce bottles are NOWHERE to be found for under $100. You can still find the 1 ounce and 1.7 ounce bottles on Ebay...most of which are the testers and scratched up / damaged bottles and those are sometimes found at reasonable prices. Currently most of them are about $25-$35. And guess who's been buying several of them? Yours truly lol. Anyway, once again, I'm shocked at all the notes here. I mainly smell a balsamic / woody amber...(a very sweet, NOT dry amber) and a hint of those floral notes whispering in the backround. This is really good. REALLY good. It's versatile also. Will wear on you as a cozy warm hug type of perfume in the fall and winter...and I even wear this in the spring too and the warm weather brings out the sweetness more whereas the cold weather brings out the warmth and amber / sandalwood more. Only time I really wouldn't reach for this is in scorching hot weather. This is one of those perfumes that you really can't imagine anyone hating. Pure orchid was beautiful as well. Such a shame her fragrance line hasn't gotten the attention it's deserved. The only fragrance of hers that I really don't like is Wild Essence and I found Reveal to be quite boring. The other 5 I happen to like quite a lot. This one is probably my favorite of all of them though. A definite recommendation in my book! This is a gem! Grab a bottle on Ebay before they're no longer available at $30, EVEN if the bottle is damaged. None of the bottles I've bought have turned bad or anything. Projection - About 3 feet. And radiates like a hug. It's not offensive in any way, shape, or form. Longevity - 4-5 hours. One touch up will get you through a whole day. Overall Score - 9/10

I must have bought this either in December 2009 or 2010 after Christmas when I was working at CVS and this perfume with a gold bag was on clearance. I've long since finished my bottle but I had it for years and it was one of my favorite perfumes. The amber and sandalwood are right at the forefront. Smells "warm" but not spicy, and not a gourmand. Pretty unfortunate that it's no longer in production!

A warm woody-ambery fig which, fortunately, I can wear more easily after it's settled down in half an hour. On me it's strong and long-lasting. It's a nice fragrance but one I don't wear often because it seems temperamental on me at times. But I like the bottle and also appreciate learning about Halle Berry's experience with mixing her own scents. It's great to hear about celebrities that are somewhat knowledgeable on the subject before they bring out their own scent, and Halle's obviously one of them. Now that I know this, I'm tempted to try her others.

This has been discontinued, and deserved to be IMO. When Halle came out in 2009, it was lauded as being a more "sophisticated" celebrity fragrance. And it is-- but ONLY if you compare it to other celebrity fragrances, most of which smell like either marshmallows or Febreze. Halle actually has *something* of a structure to it, with lime and fig in the opening and a woodsy, cedar-sandalwood drydown. However, overall Halle is still a very mainstream, generic, fruity-sweet fragrance and not at all remarkable or unique. It reminds me of something Bath & Body Works would make into a room spray or candle (which would be called "Autumn Fig & Sandalwood" or something). Halle is obviously made with cheap ingredients and smells flat after an hour or so.

This is amazing one. Warm, rich, a bit spicy and a bit sweet scent. Last for hours...loved it.

Very exotic perfume, I would say unique and powerful and with good longevity. It smells "expensive" and the bottle is very pretty as well.
