I adore this scent! Its so invigorating🥰
I have a toxic relationship with this fragrance.Sometimes I wear it and I hate it but another day I love it...Its not quite a type of fragrances I wear but it was a really good deal so I could not give it up.SUPER soapy fragrance, clean vibes but with a lot of ginger.Sometimes it smells like a grandma that goes to the opera and after stays for one more theatre spectacle. Sometimes it smells just rich and clean. Its confusing and that's why you must try it :D
Smells like a shirt thats been dosed with fabric conditioner, Sun dried and ironed pressed. Just smells clean, but virtually has no scent trail. Great for that clean gurl aesthetic. Can be cloying if over sprayed.
OMG!!!! hermes I loooooove your fragrances they are all so different from eachother and so elegant without shouting out im wearing perfume. I absolutely love this one too. I love little sharp prickling of the ginger without shouting out here I am. You dont smell like ginger but of peonies and clean soap. At the background there is just enough mintiness of the ginger. Such a beautiful feminine fragrance.
Feels like a 5-year old’s endless afternoon in the summer sun. This is happiness, freedom, innocence, purity and joy. All at once. It made me smile. Soapy but gentle and bright. The candy stayed throughout and was quite present in the dry down, just enough to not be cloyingly sweet. Intimate projection and moderate longevity on skin. Lasted overnight on clothes. I’d wear this any season and any time, as it is a perfect mood lifter.
A white, creamy and robust bar of english soap and some greated ginger root. Polite, clean and uplifting.
I so love these feminine perfumes that are Elegant with quality.
Got this as a gift from my aunt. At first, when I first sprayed it, I could detect the ginger and the floral. Definitely brought a new version of spice to me. Eventually the more I sprayed it on myself the more I began to not like it. I was afraid it was my body chemistry so I changed to just spraying my clothes but turns out I was genuinely craving a more vanilla scent since I’m more of a gourmand person. It started to smell like detergent (and not the good kind) I asked a friend if she’s ever smelt it on me and she said she’s never. Which is funny because This is a friend who I’m with 24/7. We’re always going to glass together and sitting next to each other AND we live together!!! That just goes to show how weak this perfume is. I’ll admit it has a complex scent but it’s not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who’s trying to venture into non gourmand territories especially since the sweet accord isn’t there.
It actually blew me up after trying a full bottle of it (I bought for my mom!) this perfume is actually really that good with great performance (finally an Hermes that last longer than 5 hours lol!)
For some reason, to me it smells like a 60s apartment filled with orange plastic décor or slipping into a little polyester mini dress before jumping into a convertible heading out for a weekend escape. This perfume is way weirder than it looks and very retro. I love it.
I love Ginger Twilly! So bright, and reminds me of my grandmother's bar soap... I love a soapy fragrance. Perhaps one should smell it in the store before buying it in case they don't like this style of perfume. I find it quite pricey at £50 for 30ml.
I love this perfume so much. Its happiness in a bottle. Makes me feel life is good, everything will be well, there's so much to be grateful for, only if you stop and notice. The magic of the little things. Clean freshly hung laundry, green grass under bare feet, peonies, crisp air and laughter. Fits like a glove on sunny days. It is a sunny day if you could put it in a bottle. But I've trained my brain, like a dog, to wear this when I'm down and feel better. And it works! Instant mood lift. Even a bit, even if for one thing, la vita e still bella.
like spicy ginger and sweet peony at the start, then it settles into a cozy floral‑woody vibe. It’s not super loud or loud‑in‑your‑face, more like that bright, warm ‘I’m happy and chill’ kind of scent.
Soap and mosquito spray. Not for me
My newest buy . I love it so much ! Fresh juicy soapy ginger. The ginger is so realistic. ♥️
Zingy, zesty, soapy. This one is ginger in all caps! I'm honestly surprised there is peony in here, because that's usually a note that creates an irritating floral scent that makes me sneeze. It must be blended very well. I'm also confused because this is an extremely soapy scent, and I wonder where that comes from. Maybe some unlisted aldehydes? I can see why some people may not like this, as ginger is a bit of a love or hate type of note, as well as soapiness. But I enjoy it. It really does make me feel brighter and happier. It's the perfect scent for a warm sunny day. I picture bright blue skies, a gentle breeze, and the optimism that only comes from being young and naive. It takes me back for sure. It's not super complex, but it doesn't need to be. I really quite like this!
Twilly d'Hermes Eau Ginger is a blandly floral, but interestingly spiced fragrance. That ginger carries a real kick to it, and makes this really standout in a lively way. Technically, the original Twilly d'Hermes supposedly also has a prominent note of ginger, ...but with that one I never noticed the ginger at all, ...instead, there, the florals are more interesting. Bottom line: Ginger is a vivacious spice note that should be used more often, in a direct, noticeable way. Honest confession: I primarily came here to complain about the silly Twilly bottles. Hermes Twilly bottles are one of those things that are supposedly cute & whimsical, but actually ugly & annoying. That squat glans-like bowler cap with a stupid loud-print scarve around the base, ...yuck. If Hermes pulled the head off a troll doll and poured its perfume into that, ...it wouldn't be any worse tham this. Not particularly fun fact: The perfume is named after a style of equally ugly, inconsequential, and over-priced Hermes neck scarves.
I have Eau Ginger and the original. They're very similar. Though to me, Eau Ginger's a mood like a refreshing cocktail of lemon-infused club soda & ginger ale on a mild summer's day, whereas the original evokes sipping freshly sliced ginger tea while relaxing in warm bubblebath. Both perform very well. Eau Ginger stays bright and refreshing while OG slowly unravels into cozy sweetness that's perfect towards bedtime. 💞 I mean, you could totally wear Ginger by day and seamlessly change your outfit to Original by late afternoon. In doing so, you'd still be ready for night. 🙂 The more I think of it, the more I'm tempted to take ginger off the market and back into my cabinet. It may be redundant owning both if you're trying to avoid clutter and much scent overlap like me, but it also makes perfect sense for someone who wears the original so often and craves a brighter option for seasonal change. It was love at first sniff for me. People say it smells soapy. Yes. People say it smells like washing powder. Yes again. But these are not ordinary associations — they are luxurious. Clean, refined, and expensive. Some say it smells like an old lady, and yes, it does — it has a vintage soul. But this woman is sophisticated and timeless. She looks exactly how many of us would like to look at her age. Grey, undyed, naturally curly hair. An ivory cashmere jumper, silk ivory trousers, suede ivory shoes, and delicate gold jewellery. Everyone turns around to look at her twice. She is softly wrapped in a Hermès Twilly Ginger scarf — pure class, elegance, and quiet confidence. This fragrance is for those who want to smell fresh yet elegant, original yet understated, with undeniable class.
Bought this at a huge discount at a Beauty Fair. Not too keen on the scent as i prefer the OG Twilly, but i have come to love the gentle spiciness of the Ginger Note. Comes across as an elegant scent that is not overpowering.
I really hated this when I first sprayed it but I must say that this perfume tells a different story once it stays on the skin for some time. The opening is quite sharp with a lot of spicy notes straight in your nose. However the dry down is very soft and fresh and clean so it is a lovely summer scent. The longevity is nothing special but it is a nice perfume. Not a safe blind buy for sure.
Really refreshing and simple scent, I'm obsessed lowkey - I had a mini sampler bottle, will probably buy an actual one
Exactly what it says it is: ginger. Dried ginger, fresh ginger, candied ginger - an entire ginger tasting menu in perfume form. Twilly has always been a playful-old-lady fragrance, and this is that same energy with a full ginger overlay. Nothing more, nothing less, just unwavering ginger commitment. If you’re a ginger lover, congratulations: Hermès remembered you exist.
When Niche Snob people start talking about quality perfumes i have a 10ml decant of this female perfume with me , so they can clearly smell what quality is . The realism of notes the sparkle is way better than the price .
Gosh I love it! This is exactly the clean, fresh, classy, summery scent that ive been looking for all my life. This is the only Twilly version that I tolerate so far. It’s expensive but worthy. The lemon/ginger combo is top tier, it’s refreshing throughout the day, the sweet notes tame it a little bit and make the overall scent lovely. It’s an adorable fragrance, perfect for summer, chic, light and long lasting (at least on my skin). From a teenager to a mature woman, i think it could appeal to a large scale of women.
Drinking ginger ale while sitting outside next to the dryer vent; crisp effervescent ginger with fluffy dryer sheets, really fun fragrance!
Personal: 6.5/10 - It's pretty fresh and playful, but gingery and floral. Not my fav. Mass appeal: 7.5/10 - Sweeter, frutier, and less sharp than the OG. Performance: 6.5/10 - Moderate, kind of underwhelming for something juicy. Value: 6/10 - Hermes pricing is steep for something so simple. Uniqueness: 6/10 - Fruity ginger tuberose is a bit unique but it's not pushing any boundaries. SCORE: 65/100 Full bottle buy? NO, I find it pleasant but I wouldn't ever wear it. Blind buy? NO, the ginger isn't universally appealing. Recommend? YES, it's approachable and fun if you're the right person. Date night? YES, for a casual, warm-weather date. Light and flirty. Office safe? YES, professional and inoffensive. Don't overspray. Pros: Softer, more fruity take on Twilly. A bit more wearable and fun. Cons: Still not super unique. Pretty pricey for what's really just a slightly interesting fresh floral. I feel pretty mixed about this fragrance. I thought the original Twilly was okay, and I honestly don't know I like this one more, but I recognize that this one may be slightly more likable. I'm not a fan of the ginger outright, but I appreciate how this one is actually unique as compared to the original. It's not my kind of fragrance, but I don't dislike it. I respect it. *Review #54 in my fragrance journey - this fragrance I own as a decant*
freshy grated ginger root with clean laundry. refreshing and bright like sunlight, super comforting and warm.
The best out of the Twilly series. A clean, spicy, warm and energetic fragrance. Rather for younger people. On me the drydown smells like good old-fashioned soap which I really like. I barely smell the peony but well. It could be worse.
Lemony candied ginger. Slightly green. The most young-feeling of all of the Twilly's and has a little edge to it from the spicy ginger that distinguishes it from other citrus fragrances.
