was really looking forward to smelling this and was greatly disappointed. it just smells like 409 multisurface cleaner

A nice, tart fragrance which unlike other rhubarb-focused scents I've smelled isn't overpowering

Анонім

Wow! Effervescent! At least in the beginning, Sundrunk immediately hits you with sparkling bitter orange, with a bit of a summery citronella quality that I'm also getting. While mostly a linear scent, the orange pop effect flattens quickly to a kind of fruity citrus-neroli. I'm not particularly mad at the lack of evolution though. As, the simplicity primes Sundrunk to play nice topped onto a variety of other fragrances. Projection is less nuclear than expected from a citrus forward fragrance, but, with some layering, I got a really nice fresh summery scent bubble out of this for a few hours!

i don't hate how this smells on paper--it comes across as a summery poolside fragrance that leans heavily on bitter orange peel and rhubarb. after a sharp, citrus opening with a touch of neroli, the rose water and rhubarb dominate, undercut by a sour fruitiness verging on chemical. i'm reminded a bit of chlorinated pool water and citronella bug repellent. but alas! my skin tends to wear fragrances a bit sweeter and more lactonic than they are on paper, which is a nightmare situation for sundrunk. the orange zest evolves into a cloying, musky pith with a slight soapiness that pushes against that fruity, floral freshness that comes through on the test strip. i also experienced generally poor projection, rapid dissipation, and lack of dimensional progression that make me hesitant to recommend purchasing this one. picture: peeling an orange, dropping the peel in the pool, and then pulling it out and leaving it to dry next to a burning citronella candle as you sip on a warm blood orange san pellegrino gone flat.

orange soda and saturated photos, like drinking summer. layers beautifully with vanilla, white florals, or greenery, but lasts only a few hours on its own. sparkling and beautiful, the ephemeral nature of summer evenings. sadly largely linear, but incredibly evocative with what is present

Анонім

That orange hits like a truck in the beginning, I'll tell you, but when it settles in snug next to the other notes, it becomes this lovely, kind of nostalgic background note for the rose water and rhubarb (at least that's what I think I'm smelling?). The more it developed the more I wanted to bathe in it. I think I just really love a well done orange note. 9/10

I recently purchased an Imaginary Authors test set, and Sundrunk was the first sample I gave a try. I can see why people say it starts with a cleaning product-like smell; it's definitely potent when you first give it a spray. But as it sat on my skin, the chemical scent faded a bit, and I ended up getting a fizzy orange Fanta smell, which is super nostalgic for me. It fades pretty quickly, though. I needed a respray in the afternoon after putting it on in the morning.

Uhm..did i go nose blind?? Can't pick nothing..first few minutes were good..didn't love it much butttt it disappeared..didn't even give me the chance to go through the dry down lol

Imaginary Authors makes some crazy good citrus fragrances, I pick up the most on the rhubarb and orange with a little neroli in the back it's sooo good and is the perfect scent for summer. Imagine you're sitting in your room and you open a bright fresh navel orange and put some rhubarb jam next to it. One of the best Imaginary authors fragrances yet! Projection 2/10 Scent 9/10

Анонім

this is photorealistic orange peel to me, and i loathe the scent of orange peels. an orange gains sentience and starts skinning itself alive in front of you and for some reason theres a tray of fuckin rhubarb in the room get me out of here

Citrus, white florals, muted greenery, this is what a southern european summer by the sea smells like. Clean and sophisticated. Well made, and one of the better (top 5 at the minimum) from Imaginary Authors.

🧼 Chemical Shock and a Lightning-Fast Finish 🌺 The first contact with Sundrunk is a true test of patience. The opening ruthlessly haunts your nostrils with the scent of an aggressive, citrus toilet rim block, into which someone mistakenly threw a handful of disturbingly rubbery white flowers. It is sharp, chemical, and absolutely unnatural. If this is what the promised "hot summer" smells like, then we are probably talking about a summer spent scrubbing a gas station bathroom. But if you grit your teeth and survive this off-putting introduction, the composition unexpectedly evolves into something entirely different. From the toilet chemistry suddenly emerges a beautiful, delicate watery rose, broken by tart rhubarb and the subtle sweetness of hibiscus. The scent calms down, becoming airy, slightly sour, and truly charming. Unfortunately, this beautiful face is a dramatically short show. Before you can truly enjoy this summery, floral-fruity blend, the fragrance simply evaporates in the blink of an eye. It vanishes from the skin without saying goodbye, leaving you with an empty wrist and a massive sense of insatiability. Visual archive on TikTok / IG: @the.scent.files

I dotn have much to say abotu sundrunk but i said id review all of IA. i acc like it. yk it isnt bad. i hate citrus and shit though. so its good for what it is for me. it has good performance, for me i just got an orange scent, it is smooth and juicy. good neroli here too.

Анонім

A warm, flat orange soda stirred with a branch of neroli. Or like someone’s trying to do a niche interpretation of Clinique Happy. It’s not bad, though! I get no fizz or freshness, it smells like you got Fanta or one of those fancy blood orange Pellegrinos on yourself and it got dried out and sticky on your skin and shirt, or how your hands smell and feel if you don’t wash them for a while after peeling an orange.

Анонім

The artificial orange note in this smells less like a creamsicle or Fanta to me and more like wood varnish. Luckily it’s gone in about 20 seconds as I seem to be anosmic to most of it. Disappointing.

Анонім

Super linear scent, and doesn’t preform really well. However it’s still amazing, to me it doesn’t really smell like fanta, it’s more of a sunny d

Анонім

Very ripe orange peels. A bright citrus that I personally really like, living in FL. Downside: it's gone so quickly, and it's not at all complex. Very simple, bright, good for a moment. If you can get it cheap, I'd say, yes. Buy it.

Анонім

Smells like Fanta and white florals. Cool combo that would be great for the beach.

“Woozy and warm from the sun, we shared an orange pop and watched the surfers’ last lines of the day.” Imaginary Authors is all about conjuring memories. This line here definitely rings true for this fragrance. The scent is definitely an artificial orange, like a soda or a gummy candy, which I actually really love. It's VERY sweet and a bit cloying, which may not be for everyone, but personally I enjoy it. Longevity isn't great, and projection is just okay. I don't think I would purchase a full bottle of this. But if you like sweet and want something reminiscent of an orange soda or orange candy, this might work for you. Probably not a safe blind buy though, because the only note I got was orange.

Анонім

This confirmed my hatered for rhubarb really quickly. I’m starting to look at a lot of yall that like this one with a side eye cause this was absolutely disgusting

Анонім

Very nice scent but has no longevity so it's a pass

Im not sure why Sundrunk has such a low rating. Fragrance is entirely subjective and I am a big fan of orange and white florals, so take my review with a pinch of salt. Immediately after spraying you get hit with a nose piercing, carbonated orange scent. It smells like carbonated orange juice to my nose. I don't get many florals until about an hour in, where I detect a bit of neroli and a watery, sweet floral. Im not sure if its the honeysuckle or the rosewater accord, but it smells phenomenal. It stays pretty linear though, which I actually like in a scent profile like this. I get about 6 hours of performance, which in my opinion is great for a citrus dominant fragrance. Projection is okay from what I've gathered so far, nothing special in that department. I dont think it should massively project, this is one of those scents you toss on appease your mind. Overall, I'd give this a solid 8.5/10. I wish I didn't go noseblind so easily to sharp citrus, otherwise it would be a 9 for me. If youre looking to get into the brand, this is a great place to start!

Анонім

I personally do not get the fizziness or tartness others describe. This isn't bright and punchy orange to me. To my nose, it's mellow orange blended perfectly with soft florals. Instead of a happy summer day, a breezy walk in the summer at sunset comes to mind. This is easily in my top two favorite Imaginary Authors fragrances. I also love that it lasts a really long time on me.

Анонім

Sundrunk reminds me of orange blossoms and honeysuckle with a tad of orange sherbet. It makes me think of summers as a kid. I don't smell much else and it does not last long, but it is a nice scent when you first spray it. It is different from a lot of the other Imaginary Authors scents.

Анонім

I’m really just getting one note citrus on this one. I thought almost minty as well? Not sure what note that is. It’s pleasant but nothing special

Анонім

super orange punchy sunscreen. i would wear this to the beach

Анонім

A massive bomb of nostalgia. It smells like the more grown up version of kids sunscreen. When I was a kid I used to spray extra sunscreen so I could smell it longer and this fragrance hits the same spot for me. It smells like more of a beach experience than going to the pool. A more naturalistic day of swimming with the artificial sunscreen.

Анонім

This is an unexpected W in the set of Imaginary Authors samples I got. It has a screechy, kitchen cleaner orange zest opening but on my skin it settled into a lovely white floral and sunny d. I have Glossier's neroli body lotion and it falls closely into that sunscreeny synthetic profile. I'm unsure how it'll hold up on its own, I get the impression that this house focuses more on the story and memories associated with a scent rather than wearability. I do love this though..

Анонім

I really like this fragrance, which to me smells very much like an orange tic tac. The orange is bright and sweet, leaning synthetic. The neroli smells very clean and white. I can’t pinpoint the rhubarb, but I sense it’s presence. Only downside is the performance, which is honestly not that great.

Анонім

good god this made me wretch!! Astringent, noxious, what is this supposed to bring to mind? Pool chemicals? I feel like I’m being pranked, nothing about this smells like a day at the beach or orange soda for whatever other BS this is described as
