Gaultier Divine

On my skin, I really do not get any of the sweet or white floral notes this fragrance is supposed to have. I can smell the musky and woody notes very strongly. It is not a bad fragrance per se but it is more masculine than feminine, and I am not a fan of that.

I most definitely like it a lot better now after letting my bottle breathe for a few months and testing it again during the summer’s warmer weather . Now I feel like I’m getting its full purpose of creation . Its fruity red berry & watermelon accord opening followed by a creamy meringue of notes from lily of the valley & Ylang - Ylang , all flows into a Fresh & Salty tropical beach vibe in a bottle. The most beautiful summer fragrance I’ve tried in a while 10/10 recommend

As a fan of JPG Classique, I'm guessing this is an attempt at being the anti-Classique. All I get is a fizziness and overpowering sickliness. It's floral, but like a carbonated flower soda. I regret buying this as I will never, ever wear it in public or private. I wouldn't even use this as a scent to wear to the gym just to use and get rid of. Smelling it produces a strong feeling of wanting to vomit.

ugh, I wanted to love this badly, but it’s just not for me. It’s on the threshold of a mature white floral on my skin, which I don’t love. But that bottle is so iconic and the performance is great. Destin by Balmain gives me a similar vibe, minus the mature feeling of Divine

At first, it smelled like the beach and key lime pie... but then it ended up smelling really strange and unpleasant; it’s a mix of something like sweat combined with something bittersweet. Sometimes it smells like egg to me. I wouldn't use it again.

There’s a note in this perfume that I don’t like it’s a little medicinal, but I layer it with good girl blush and it smells divine.

Gaultier Divine, by Jean Paul Gaultier, smells like papaya, damp aquatics and meringue. The opening is very similar to La Belle Paradise from Jean Paul Gautier, a bubbly papaya shampoo and an aquatic water pond near in s tropical area, probably the calypsone. In a few minutes, you smell more of a powdery, sugar vanilla meringue. Personally, I prefer La Belle Paradise instead of Gaultier Divine, because that tropical lagoon category attracts me more than a gourmand vanilla scent.

It has that distinct powdery, sweet and soft muskiness JPG perfumes have. I wonder if it's the marine note others have mentioned, but I found it strong and cloying unflatteringly. No floral or citrus.

Absolute perfection in a bottle! I started out with a miniature of Gaultier Divine, and it didn't take long for me to realize I needed the full size. I bought a bottle just a couple of days ago and I’ve already made a huge dent in it, I cannot stop spraying this! The opening with the lily and jasmine is absolutely gorgeous, but the real magic happens later. The musk in the dry down makes this so incredibly sexy and sensual. It is a literal eyes-roll-back, toes-curl kind of scent experience every single time I smell it. To top it off, the bottle design is breathtaking and fits the juice perfectly. JPG absolutely nailed it with this one.

I can see I've left a review of this nearly three years ago and I just found the same sample I was talking about in an old handbag. Maybe it's because it's had a long time to mature or maybe it's because it's a hot day and I've got the fan on and it's blowing the scent around but this is a lot nicer than I remembered. It is very musky and marine but it's sweet and strong too. I think I'll wear this outside tomorrow layered with some sort of roll on oil, scented body lotion, body mist and then this on top. It's definitely a summery scent. Very beachy. I still don't think the bottle matches the vibe of the scent at all. Someone asked what is the note that makes them feel sick and I'd say it's the musk mixed with the marine aspect, it can almost come off a bit fatty, not quite fishy but fatty. I don't know how else to explain it tbh.

This would be an excellent signature or summertime scent on a person with the right body chemistry. Unfortunately for me, there's an aquatic note in this fragrance that clashes with one of the sweeter base notes when I tried it. On me, it's cloying and a bit nauseating.

Sprayed this on a sample paper and forgot about it, put in on a shelf. Kept smelling something around me even hours later (maybe like 8-10 even). The sillage is nuclear, lasts ages.

Today I picked up the 15ml version of this to try out for longer as I loved the scent in store. Well, I got home and opened the little box, sprayed some on and dropped it on a hard floor where it shattered quite spectacularly. The smell is killing my nose and I've had to blast the air purifier in here as well as banish my dogs from the area as it made one vomit. I really liked the salty fun flower pastry scent, it *was* divine, and it did suit a grown woman quite wonderfully. It seemed to get sweeter on me and lasted a whole 8 hours on my skin. I am very sad that I owned it for less than a day and was forced to watch my money soak into the floor and a random hoodie, but I am also glad it was only the travel size, and that I didn't embarrass myself in public dropping this... I wish I had the chance to try it for longer!

The bottle is cute and people are raving about this one, but it gives me the same vanilla+ deet bug spray clash I get from Libre. There must be some aromachemical in there that's my personal cilantro haha. Definitely has good performance. I was sitting next to someone at a luncheon who was wearing it and can still smell it in my nose this evening- unfortunately for me.

A fantastic, UNIQUE and versatile fragrance. In my opinion one of the best feminine designer fragrances. Might pick up a bottle myself.

I used to love this and it smells amazing on other people. However like some others have mentioned, there’s a note in this that makes me feel sick. It’s so sickly smelling. I’m not sure if it’s the meringue but I can barely bear to wear it anymore.

Beautiful summer floral. This one is reminiscent of the 90’s. White floral, amber, aquatic melon in the background, think escape by Calvin Klein or Wings by Georgio Beverly Hills. Lasting power is similar to vintage perfume too. Highly recommend.

Fresh, slightly sweet office floral Delicate, feminine and unique

this is my go-to at work, a nice fresh mature floral. i barely need to spray more than 2-3, its very strong and it can last, literally love it so much

Really dislike the smell of the synthetic musk base, it's scratchy, tickled my nose and gave me headache. Quentin Bisch's perfumes always have something scratchy to me, overly synthetic.

I liked it but the drydown is acidic

Aptly named! I went in blind with a half oz decant and I want a full bottle , now!

It's like eating the perfect slice of watermelon in a seaside garden. Threw this on for the hell of it before hitting up McDonald's, and the lady at the window complimented me and asked me what perfume it was. You don't need to douse yourself in it for it to last for hours and project well either, it works like a proper perfume should.

This would make a great gift for younger ladies! The lily note is beautiful here but it's not a very distinct fragrance, just a nice blend of florals and slight sweetness.

sweet and sexy. kind of synthetic at first but not off-putting - in a glamorous 2000s way. It feels like what you might spray on yourself after a long day at the beach when you're getting prepared to go out clubbing.

I got this as a blind buy because I was looking for some aquatic, ozonic notes. I was scared at first because it was sweet without the aquatic notes. Very salty in a good way. But then the dry down comes and you get the salty aquatic notes. It does not disappoint. Even after I shower the smell lingered and I did not over spay just in case I did not like it. This is a winner !
