I used to really like this but after a couple months its started to turn musty and somehow animalic?? A weird musty sweaty scent that I cannot pin down that completely overpowers the sweet juicy vanilla pear I used to get. It is hardly the same perfume that I tried in store and im a bit heartbroken over it. I dont know if I got a bad batch but it is straight up going rancid on my skin. Ive never experienced this with a perfume before. I loved this one a lot while it lasted I guess but I will not be buying it again and probably end up tossing it later bc its just unwearable at this point :(
I am afraid I have found the perfect perfume for me. Sweet without being overpowering, rich vanilla pouring out and just enough fruitiness to keep the scent playful. This will be my signature scent if I'm not careful.
such a delicious scent
This perfume is everything i like. Fresh, sweet, mouth watering, sexy. I get Vanilla, pear and soft leather. It’s the kind of scent you want to breathe in and bury your head in
instant compliment getter very magnetic. i think this is the female version of rabanne one million elixir
Sickeningly sweet, no depth to it whatsoever. Makes me nauseous.
La Belle is the definition of a feel-good fragrance. It's warm, juicy, and effortlessly sensual, with a sweetness that feels rich without becoming overpowering. Every time I wear it, it instantly lifts my mood and makes me feel confident and put together. The blend of ripe pear, creamy vanilla, and smooth woody notes creates a fragrance that's both comforting and captivating. It's sweet and inviting but still has enough depth to feel sophisticated.
Very sweet just after the zippy Bergamot in the opening which is really needed to prevent it from being linear. You can really smell the honey, right after that. and then, Reminds me a bit of La Nuit Trésor at drydown. Powdery sweet with a touch of honey there after as a skin scent. Very well made, but a bit too sweet for me as I have had a few to many sweet fragrance and now. I've always wanted a JPG... Don't know if this will be it or La Belle Paradise Garden perhaps, but can never find a store where I can smell it.
This is an IT GIRL perfume! It speaks volumes of the quality of this perfume that I repurchased after using up TWO travel sizes. I feel that it would pair beautifully with some of the salted caramel/pistachio scented lotions that have been popular lately due to the Sol de Janeiro craze. I get compliments on her and I also can't stop sniffing myself!
I completely lost my mind tonight. I've had it on my right wrist for four hours, and I sprayed it on my left wrist just twenty minutes ago. The dry-down is beautiful, but the opening is just as mesmerizing. It's like wearing two different perfumes, and I can't decide which version I love more. The moment I sprayed it, I suddenly felt like becoming a belly dancer. This is the definition of a signature scent. But it's not a fragrance every woman can carry. It demands confidence, personality, and a certain presence. I'm deeply in love with layered fragrances. The ones that slowly transform into something entirely different as the hours pass always feel more mysterious and alluring to me. Givenchy L'Interdit is another perfume that gives me the same feeling. This is definitely a fragrance for brunette girls. It's magnetic.
it’s nice. tart pear that overpowers the other notes in the opening and settles down smoothly to a wearable and pleasant fruity vanilla. if i didn’t have multiple pear scents that are more attractive than this one i’m sure i’d like it more. it’s great but easily outshone
It's fine. Has that trademark hyper-sweet designer fragrance opening, but dries down to an unnotable, somewhat wearable fruity vanilla. Not overly offensive, but certainly not good. Reminds me of a lighter version of Khair Confection by Paris Corner, which I absolutely detest. Definitely more of a fall/winter, but I'd say it's fine for day or night. Decently long lasting and projects okay! Spraying from a tester, but the design of the bottle is very pretty! Not atrocious, not beautiful, just... there. 3.5/10.
While this smells very similar to Kayali Candy Rock, it also reminds me of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia and, even more so, Oud Musc by Abdulsamad Al Qurashi, which is quite popular in the Middle East. I only have a sample of this fragrance, and honestly, it didn't impress me at first. I found it somewhat synthetic, bitter, overly syrupy-sweet, and even a bit cloying. However, on two separate occasions, I was completely captivated by a radiant scent filling my office while meeting with clients. Both times, I eventually realized it was coming from the tiny drop I had applied to my wrist. To my nose, it has a boozy, rum-like quality with hints of amaretto, cherry, bitter almond, and perhaps even marzipan. There's also a subtle smokiness in the background that reminds me of benzoin, with a touch of creamy sandalwood. What I enjoy most is the performance. Rather than fading away, it seems to grow stronger and project more as time passes. La belle went from a disappointment on first wear to a very pleasant surprise
Bought this in a mini set of 4 on a cruise, as a blind buy its not bad. Its personally my favorite of the set. Compared to other JPG perfumes, this is perfect for a younger woman and is more wearable for daily use. Despite what reviews say I honestly think its great for spring and summer wear. Projection is pretty good, and stays on the skin a bit. Vanilla is the strongest note that stands out on my skin which makes it sweeter.
Yuck! Another one of those generic olfactory assault mass market creations. Of all perfumes, why do they always have such an annoyingly tenacious staying power?! I tried washing it off with dishwashing detergent immediately after sampling but it is still wafting around me an hour later. As to the scent profile itself: saccharine sweet and nondescript fruity; nausea inducing in confined spaces. End of story
Huele a señora grande, muy floral, me decepcionó.
This is a hyper feminine scent suitable for a young girl as often times it can come across as simple and playful. It does open very sweet but dries down to a vanilla and slight musk. I don’t think this is any unique or ground breaking scent but it’s perfectly simple and suitable for daily wear. The feminine eroticism of the bottle perfectly mirrors what’s inside. I appreciate this scent as it encapsulates my girl-hood, a scent tied to a memory of singing a Cher song about heartbreak, Needles And Pins, wearing my Marc Jacob’s Heaven baby tee that’s soaked in ‘La Belle’. I probably sprayed way too much, but that’s what young girls do.
Compliment getter. Warm, seductive and sweet. Sillage and lasting power like no other, typical for JPG fragrances.
Really syrupy and comforting. Smells like expensive jam. Only have the miniature and to me it is a bit too pricey to purchase a whole bottle. It does smell great but I personally don't think this scent is distinct and unique enough to get the full size flacon. I do love it though. It's a great flirty date night scent. Sweet without feeling too heavy and powdery without being too 'mature'.
Tried this at an airport and it is lovely. I am shocked how close this is to Khair Confection. Beautiful bottle.
La Belle is all pear to my nose. The pear note stays front and center from start to finish, and I don’t pick up much else. If you love pear scents, you’ll likely enjoy it
If you want a fragrance that screams confidence, ✨ La Belle EDP is *that* girl. ✨ It’s ultra-feminine, deep, and intoxicating. The blend of juicy pear and torrid vanilla creates a stunning contrast that feels grown-up and sensual without being juvenile. It leaves an incredible scent trail and gets compliments every single time. 💃🏾💋
In one word: delicious. Amazing summer fragrance. Beast mode sillage and excellent longevity. La Belle does have a very strong pear note that gives it a syrupy quality. Could be too cloying for some.
I had to buy this beauty after spraying it on a card at David Jones and still smelling it days later. Plus, two of my favourite perfumers created it: Quentin Bisch and Sonia Constant. It’s the ultimate grown-up gourmand fragrance - sweet, juicy, and decadent, like a boozy pear pie drizzled in vanilla custard. She’s flirty, feminine and intoxicating, and perfect for cooler weather and evenings. She's lovely - and the bottle is adorable!
This opens with a sortve banana bready smell, it dries down so playfully and swimmingly it’s so charming I can’t help to be addicted to it, this perfume is a very pretty girl with an almost glittery aura around her and she has an extremely sweet face, I love love love it
My god, where do I start. My first instinct is to tell you that its awfull, simply cause I want to gatekeep this perfume from becoming mainstream! It's THAT good. When I tried it in the store I didn't care for it, it didn't stick with me. I thought it was beautiful but not something I necessarily needed. I ordered some decants from different perfumes including this one and I started wearing this for a few days and OH MY GOD, what was I thinking? She is a beaut! And absolute stunner, deliciously sweet, unique, intoxicating. Signature scent worthy imo. I got alot of compliments wearing this from both women and men. This is a head turner. I find JPG perfumes all have this loud characteristic that I don't mind, I find it intriguing. This scents isn't any different. She is memorable. The longevity is really really good on clothes, I've washed my clothes and I can still smell my perfume on the item which I haven't before. I get noseblind easily so I don't smell this perfume on me after a certain amount of time, but the fact that I can still smell it on my clothes after a wash, says enough. I love you la belle!
Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle is absolutely beautiful and one of my favorites. The pear and vanilla combination really does its job perfectly, creating a warm, smooth, and slightly sweet gourmand scent. It feels grown-up and sensual, leaning into a sweet gourmand direction without becoming childish or overwhelming. To me, it works best for cooler evenings, where its warmth and sweetness can really shine. The only downside is performance — like many fragrances on my skin, it tends to fade fairly quickly, so reapplication is needed throughout the day. I also own La Belle Flower Edition, which is much more powdery and floral in comparison, offering a softer and more delicate take on the original DNA. It was a blindbuy and I'd give it 9/10.
This right here???? OH SHE’S THAT GIRL. 👏🏽✨ A sweet pear, amber, musky leather vanilla DREAM!!! 😭💕 From the moment this hits my skin it is smooth, rich, feminine, sexy, and just absolutely addictive. The pear gives it that juicy sweetness while the amber, musk, and leather come in and make it feel expensiveeeee and grown. Whew. 😮💨✨ And let me tell you… THIS is a “Pretty Girl ROCK” fragrance for REAL. 👑💅🏽💖 The type of scent that makes you walk different, talk different, and feel like the finest person in the room. The longevity?!?! BABY… 10 PLUS HOURS on my skin EASY. And the silage??? BOMB.COM. This fragrance leaves a TRAIL. People WILL smell you coming and going. 😭👏🏽 Now if you really wanna smell heavenlyyyyy… pair this with OUD BOQUET or OG BABY CAT , or DELINA EX or OUD SATIN MOOD and I am TELLING YOU… you are going to smell absolutely AMAZINGGGGG. Great date night or girls night out fragrance Luxury princess rich auntie energy all day long. ☁️✨💕 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!! This will FOREVER be in my collection.
Tbh there is something very sultry about this. I can’t explain why. I can’t stop sniffing it off her whenever she puts it on….
A stunning scent. If sweet and sexy is your vibe, you should love this! Just wondered whether the newer bottles with the different flowers mean the formula has been reformulated as it was with the Le Parfum version, or is it the same perfume as before? Would hate the think they'd change this one too!
