i wore this to college class like a year ago and the building smelled like it for a few days and people kept asking do you smell syrup somewhere? when i walked past

I got a 2ml sample that i put into a ziplock bag, i then wrapped that bag with paper then put it into another ziplock bag and put that into a metal box. I can still smell it when Im close, it is beyond nuclear. I have never sprayed it on myself but when i touch the sample or even the bag the scent gets welded onto my hands. It is quite pleasant the first 24h(realistic syrup and coffee) but after that i start to get a curry smell :( If this was a less pleasant fragrance it would be a bioweapon.

Nuclear doesn't come close to describing this. I'm too scared to fully wear it, or let it touch any clothing. No joke. Bought a 1ml sample but I've since thrown it away as it's literally stinking up my entire apartment. Stinking up my entire apartment even though it's in a zip lock freezer bag, and inside a sealed container. It has a foul animalic smell to it unfortunately. I did give it one test on my hand, and even after two showers, it's still there. Far too over bearing on the coffee note in my opinion, which doesn't give the rest of the notes the ability to shine. You do somewhat get other notes but essentially, it's a coffee bomb with strength I've never come across in the fragrance world before. The most realistic coffee note fragrance I've ever tried. Be warned, do not let this near clothing as I can't imagine you'll be able to get this out whatsoever.

This review is not a joke. I've noticed some people joke about it but I will not. My decant arrived and the box it came in smelled intensely of coffee even if it was well wrapped. My boyfriend said it instantly smelled like curry. Ignored him, lol. Ok so i then sprayed this once (1 spray) on my wrist, rubbed it against my other wrist and then rubbed both wrists on the sides of my neck. I didnt want to spray more as everyone said this is nuclear and got me a bit scared, lol. First impression: intense coffee. Massive, massive quantities. Very nice. The smell lingered on my wrists for a long time. It still smelled like coffee. However, my boyfriend said that sitting beside me was really bad as I smelled constantly like curry lol. I went out to the store and when I came back he said it was like I never left, the scent lingered in the room. I still did not get curry. He said that if he smells my wrists it does smell like coffee but from a distance (as little as 1 meter) it smells like parsley or some condiment like that. I couldn't believe it!!! I made him spray once too and all I did get is coffee, even froma distance, i do not get curry from him. I will say that although we both sprayed on the balcony, the smell got into the bedroom which now smells like COFFEE. no condiments, no curry, no nothing like that to my nose. I truly dont understand. I was fully ready to embrace the curry stench but I can't sense it... I'm going to a wedding party this week and I am going to do 2 or maybe 3 sprays. Being a big wedding, someone has to notice something and I am curious what. Anyway as the hours passed, I feel like it became a skin scent...but then i could feel it around me as I walked. So projection is good. Boyfriend says it's an aura scent, that it truly trails after me and it...follows me around. Will edit this review after the wedding. Hehe. Later edit: at the wedding my sister could barely smell it, she had to put her nose close into my neck to barely feel anything (I had 3 sprays on) and she said it smelled of coffee and disinfectant, another girl also had to come super close and said she smells faint vanilla but that it was barely there and my father also said it's kind of a skin scent but to him it smelled like dark cocoa and dried fruit. Lol I did not expect this to be seen as a skin scent. Guess it doesn't perform well in summer outdoors. As for me I can literally smell it on my skin after I showered and my pyjamas smell of it and the bed smells of it too.

I got a decant of this, which was sprayed once. The decant was then placed in a ziplock bag, then put in another proper bag. The ziplock bag with the decant in it was then removed. This ways many days ago. As of today, the bag in which the ziplock bag was still smelled like Followed by Kerosene. This is how enormous and infinite this perfume performs. That's not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing in and of itself. However, this smells so bad. This promises coffee, but actually smells like soy sauce. It smelled like soy sauce to me before reading the other reviews, and it was funny and sad to read that others think the same. This thing is genuinely a nuclear weapon in ways that are bad than good. This thing follows you literally everywhere because of its Incredible performance, and you don't want that.

literally just overpowering coffee for the first hour if you dont layer it with another vanilla scent. also smells like piss on my skin if i directly sniff my wrist ? 😭

FOLLOWED opens with a very bright realistic coffee scent that is quite pleasing, you can almost taste the French roast on your teeth, like opening a bag of fresh coffee beans, but quickly dried down to this overly sweet and syrupy texture. I’m a professional barista three days a week so I thought it would be cute to wear this to work, but I find that the sweetness is overly cloying. The headaches start when you realize you can’t go nose blind to this. The scent filled my bedroom for days and my hair even after a wash. Impressive that anyone could manufacture such a nuclear scent. You really have to give them props.

After reading all the reviews and speculations, i felt the need to try it at least once in my life. Im just wearing it for 10 minutes but boy i must say, this is already so good!! Its not the really dark coffee scent i expected but more a sweeter mocha type of coffee and i really enjoy it. Hope the drydown will smell like pancakes as some wearers experience and if so, it might be full bottle worthy. As for projection i think its really good but don’t know if it is as strong as some people say it is, must wait before drawing a conclusion. Update: I really like it, but after 6 hours it somehow reminded me of the soy sauce some people were concluding but not to an extent and people around me weren't complaining. Strangely enough one day later I smell the lovely mocha/coffee again. Longevity is really good, I applied it yesterday at 9:00, today I visited a friend at around 16:00 and she said I smellt like coffee (I even took a shower in the morning too). For projection idk: it does project good in the sense people around u will definitely smell u, but I don't think it does linger in a room u just were. It only did in my room where I applied it. I think im tempted to go for a FB!

strong caramel in the beginning, and once it's settled in, the coffee and chocolate is a lot more prominent. it's also a little smoky(?) but if i could only describe this in one word - tiramisu. i'll wear this whenever i'm craving a nice lil tiramisu.

This sh*t is NUCLEAR. Bottle should come with legend: "Handle with extreme caution." Fragrance itself is quite nice, smells like roasted coffee. Sometimes I wonder if this fragrance should be that loud, it projects and lasts like a beast. I cannot find situations to wear this. I've worn it two times, one very cold night and to the club (where I got a nice compliment). I think the perfumer did a great job, but I wish it wouldn't be such a powerful fragrance.

I have to write a second review, because this is no longer a perfume. This is a sanitary incident. I went to the hospital at 7 a.m.: spotless floors, white walls, clinical sterility — and me, apparently, spreading a toxic cloud behind me. Followed really followed me. It moved through the corridors and developed a life of its own. When I came back to reception, there was panic. Nurses whispering, patients joining in. Theories included: something is being cooked, a pipe has burst, something strange is coming from the pantry, someone brought food with ghee. One nurse said: “My eyes are burning.” I finally confessed: “Girls, I’m sorry, I think it might be my perfume.” I gave them the atomizer. They said: “No, no, yours is just a nice coffee smell. This is clearly some kind of disaster.” Conclusion: on skin, it is a sweet cosy coffee scent. In the sillage, it is a weapon of mass confusion. One spray maximum. I did four or five, and I believe the hospital is still investigating the incident.

Probably the safest gym freshie possible, only issue is that the performance sucks so I would recommend overspraying (at least 8 sprays). Very refreshing and uplifting scent, just wish it lasted longer.

The first spray is sickly sweet, like caramel and vanilla overload, like a really strong yankee candle you smell for fun at homegoods. like warm honey and thick caramel. the top notes of vanilla and caramel are so strong i feel like i am a caramel candy. leaning in close are sharper notes of white florals, lilies maybe. smells much cleaner up close instead of sweet. but once you back away its only sweet. like a frappacino. or like an elevated, more complex maple syrup. Then after the dry down you get the deeper more rich notes of coffee. As you get used to it throughout the wear it simmers down in terms of potency and sweetness and becomes more of a gentle sweet caramel coffee, though i'm sure everyone else smelled the sweetness, and i kept getting random wiffs of honey which i wasn't the biggest fan of in specific. I was hoping for something more complex honestly, but i didn't read the notes before getting the sample, so that's on me. Went to the movies though and used my wrist as an air freshener bc someone kept ripping ass, so it has a nice longevity and wear. Personally wouldn't get the bottle though.

this is black coffee. this is coffee concentrate. a few years ago i went through a phase where i was really into cold brew made from concentrate, and it smelled EXACTLY like this it is incredibly strong and unapologetically coffee from the moment it hits my skin. i kept waiting for some of the sweeter notes people talk about to show up, but i am not sure they ever really did for me. maybe i went nose blind, maybe my skin just pulled different notes if it did settle into sweetness at all, it was more like an extremely strong mocha than anything else. not a creamy cafe mocha either, more like a mocha heated over a campfire. dark, rich, and slightly burnt? i do like it! and the longevity is no joke. i tested it on the tiniest patch of skin and could still smell it the following morning but waking up smelling like coffee is not a bad thing at all! I feel this would be a great scent to layer with other scents. quite like adding things into your coffee.

This "Perfume followed by Kerosene" is seriously amazing! It has so many strengths and only a few weaknesses. One downside is that the wearer gets nose blind to it pretty easily, but people around you can still clearly smell the fragrance coming from your body. Here are some of my crazy, mind-blowing experiences with it: The first time I bought it, I unboxed it downstairs in my apartment building. I sprayed just once on my neck and immediately went to the gym for 1.5 hours and worked up a sweat. When I got back to my room, my wife suddenly said she could smell a really strong coffee scent coming from my body — it even filled up the whole room. Second experience: A friend came over to my house. I sprayed twice on my neck and hands. He rode his motorcycle home, took a shower… after that his mom asked him, “Why does the house suddenly smell like coffee?” Amazingggg — Kerosene followed 🔥

Followed – Kerosene I reached for Followed because someone wrote: coffee, gourmand, maple syrup, addictive. It sounded like a warm, dark dessert. Coffee with character, maybe burnt caramel, maybe something sticky and pleasant — like a small café in autumn where you step in just for a moment and walk out with a stronger will to live. And it arrived. Only not as coffee. More like the back room of a station food stand after a ventilation failure, where someone was cooking broth from a stock cube, burnt the maple syrup, spilled fryer oil, and decided that adding coffee would make it "gourmand." First contact The first hit does not smell like a cup of coffee. It smells like a kitchen where something has gone very wrong, but everyone is pretending it is just "an intense aroma." It is sweet, but not appetizing. Sticky, heavy, hot. Like maple syrup that sat on the burner too long and crossed over to the dark side. Underneath lurks something brothy, bouillon-like, greasy — not soup exactly, but that suspicious smell of a stock cube that has dissolved into the air and now has ambitions of becoming a perfume. Coffee? Supposedly somewhere in there. But it is not sitting in an elegant cup. It is standing in the back, next to old grease, scorched sugar, and a pan that nobody washes anymore — they just negotiate terms of surrender with it. When the kitchen starts breathing After a while, Followed gets even stranger. This is no longer dessert. This is a food establishment operating after hours, even though the health inspector should have come in long ago with a flashlight and the expression of a man who has seen too much. Old fryer oil appears. Warm, exhausted, reused many times, carrying the memory of chips, onions, batter, and decisions made at three in the morning. On top of that comes a sticky sweetness trying to pass for pleasure, but it is more like a counter at the end of a working day: supposedly wiped, yet your hand still stays on it a second longer than it should. And somewhere between all of this, the famous "coffee gourmand" effect appears. Only for me it is coffee after an industrial disaster. Coffee that fell into a pot of broth, bounced off maple syrup, and landed in a kebab shop where someone just scorched garlic sauce on a hot griddle. Followed is not "addictive" in the classic sense. This is a scent you return to the way you return to the scene of an accident. Not because you want to. Because your brain cannot believe it actually happened. At the bottom In the base it gets thicker, warmer, and even more persistent. The sweetness does not leave. It sits heavily on everything like a wet blanket made of syrup. Coffee tries to break through the greasy, broth-caramel chaos, but what emerges is less "cosy café" and more "vending machine in the back of a kebab shop." There is something almost fascinating in it. Revolting, but fascinating. As if someone tried to make a gourmand perfume but instead of a patisserie used memories of a night-time station: paper trays, a heated fryer, scorched sugar, and that particular atmosphere of a place where a person eats something at five in the morning because life has briefly lost adult supervision. This is not a scent that says "eat me." This is a scent that says "has anyone checked whether this is still fit for consumption?" Longevity? Like grease in a ventilation shaft. On a blotter it lives forever. It does not leave — it puts on an apron and starts a second shift. On skin it holds like the smell of food from a late-night establishment that has entered your sleeves, your hair, and your sense of your own choices. On clothes it stays like the memory of a place where the fryer was older than half the staff. On the psyche — like the question of whether there really is a boundary between gourmand and gastronomic incident. I sprayed it on a blotter and within minutes the whole house smelled not of perfume, but as if someone had reheated old broth, poured syrup on it, and dispersed it through the air conditioning of a station bar. That is the moment when you start checking the bin, the sink, the fridge, and your own conscience. Marketing says Probably something about coffee, maple syrup, caramel, gourmand pleasure, addictive sweetness, and warmth. They should have written "For people who want to smell like burnt maple syrup, coffee after an accident, a stock cube with ambitions, old fryer oil, and the back of a kebab shop where the ventilation has lost its faith in God." Rating: 4/10 Four points for the concept and the audacity, because it takes nerve to create a gourmand that belongs in a health inspection report rather than a dessert revue. These are not coffee perfumes. This is a gastronomic anomaly. A sweet-greasy incident. A kebab poltergeist disguised as a gourmand. A scent that promised coffee and maple syrup, and delivered a night-time station, a scorched pan, and the question: "Did someone just cook in here, or perform an exorcism on a deep fryer?"

When I tested this on a strip it was really intriguing so I bought a sample. I've never smelled any other fragrance with such a true to life coffee aroma. Its open and early dry down never let up with projecting roasted beans - with all the bitterness and some staleness of a strong pot that's been left on the warming plate too long. It's definitely something that will get you noticed by everyone. As the day goes on it keeps going strong, but it softens up leaving caramel and vanilla to become the dominant notes. It was at that point my enthusiasm faded for this scent. I was still picking up the coffee scent in there, but my wife said it smelled like cheap candles around Christmas. I'm glad I only got the sample. It's a well-done and fun fragrance that's also a performance monster, but the not so subtle synthetic vanilla and caramel notes in the dry down make it a no for me. If that sounds like something you're down for then by all means give this one a shot.

The scent itself isn’t bad. Coffee with maple syrup. But it’s WAY TOO MUCH. In every way. Where would I wear this and why? It’s an achievement to be sure but not for the reasons I appreciate a fragrance. Beast mode obsessives you’ve met your match

This perfume is... particularly weird, not negative weird. Just, weird, like weird weird. The only way i could describe this perfume is a coffee with caramel blender together with a little hint of soy sauce, and again the smell was, weird, like a salted caramel with the smell of strong overpowering coffee. The longetivity? Absolute beast, this thing could last days, even weeks if you spray enough, projection is a room filler, didn't even sprayed it, the room im in was filled with the salted caramel coffee smell. Conclusion is this perfume is for someone who love heavy gourmand with intense projection, don't spray too much, you don't wanna upset anyone around you

I had been wanting to try this for so long because I heard it was absolutely nuclear, and I had to see for myself. I could smell it slightly through the packaging, but nothing too crazy (I sprayed it outside and only once on my wrist just to be safe). I immediately loved the smell- sharp, fresh coffee grounds with a hint of maple syrup. The smell does follow- my boyfriend said he could smell it while we were walking back to my apartment- but it's so pleasant. It's been a few hours and I've showered, but I can still smell it on my wrist. Now, the coffee is gone, and it's just delicious maple syrup. I completely understand how more than one or two sprays would be super strong, and I get that this one isn't for everybody, but I'm so glad it works well on my skin (knock on wood) because I love it. The smell lasts while not being intense, so I don't have a headache. I'll definitely be buying a full bottle in the future, and I hope it smells as good then as it does now. My sample of Bianco Latte was in the same order and I sprayed that on my other arm, so I just smelled like a delicious vanilla coffee/french toast with syrup combo for the rest of the day (definitely going to have to layer those two in the future). 5/5

While many coffee fragrances lean into a "latte" aesthetic by diluting the bean with heavy florals or musks, Followed appears to double down on a dark, roasted reality, surrounding it with a decadent array of Caramel, Chocolate, and Vanilla. It remains to be seen if this gourmand powerhouse can provide a sophisticated wearing experience or if its notorious sillage makes it a liability in a functional rotation. Let’s see if this roasted giant has the substance to satisfy a true coffee enthusiast or if its legendary strength becomes an overbearing shadow. Opening: The opening is warm, sweet, and spicy. The primary notes I get are coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla, with the coffee and chocolate leading the composition. The coffee is the immediate protagonist, delivering an astonishingly photorealistic portrayal of unground coffee beans that is dark, roasted, warm, and distinctly bitter. It effectively mimics the visceral experience of opening a fresh bag of coffee and inhaling the concentrated aroma within. Situated just beneath this blast of coffee is the chocolate, which presents as a bittersweet accord reminiscent of baker’s chocolate rather than a standard confectionery bar. The caramel operates as a supporting element from behind the lead notes, contributing a burnt, sticky sweetness that feels authentic and almost maple syrup-adjacent. Lastly, the vanilla folds in to provide a subtle creaminess. Meanwhile, hints of amber linger in the background to offer resinous depth and a sharp, cinnamon-like spiciness. The result is an opening of staggering density and realism, manifesting as a singular, uncompromising wall of scent that immediately justifies its legendary reputation for potency. Dry Down: The dry down is warm, sweet, and woody. The primary notes I get are still coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla, with the coffee and chocolate continuing to lead the composition. In fact, everything to do with those notes remains remarkably static, making for a fairly linear fragrance experience. However, I pick up on a marked and noticeable dry woodiness in the base of this fragrance that reminds me of the oak used in Memoirs of a Trespasser by Imaginary Authors, or the guaiac wood used in By the Fireplace by Maison Martin Margiela. While there is no wood note in the official note breakdown, the perfumer, John Pegg, frequently uses high doses of woody aromachemicals like Iso E Super, which provides a cedar or oak-like fuzziness, and Ambermax, which adds a dry, scratchy, woody-amber power. Besides those aromachemicals, there could also be roasted pyrazines at play, which are the chemical compounds used to create the smell of roasted coffee, nuts, or popcorn. In the extreme concentrations that Followed clearly uses, these can cross over from smelling "edible" to smelling like charred wood or burnt embers, providing a smoky, structural backbone and an almost "burnt popcorn" accord. I believe these two components are likely where the woodiness in the base comes from. The result is a dry down that feels less like a traditional scent progression and more like a permanent, atmospheric shroud of roasted, resinous depth. Performance: The initial projection within the first hour is immensely powerful, possessing the strength to easily reach across a large living room. The sillage matches this intensity, leaving a powerful and persistent scent trail that saturates the air. Remarkably, after three to four hours, the performance showed no signs of receding. At the eight-hour mark, the projection becomes slightly quieter but still reaches out at least six feet, while the scent trail is a bit softer but remains easily noticeable. The fragrance does not even begin to transition into a skin scent until after the twelve-hour mark, confirming its legendary status as one of the most potent compositions on the market. When to Wear: Followed is a quintessential fall and winter fragrance, best suited for evening wear. Its dark, heavy, and intense profile makes it a specialized choice for specific occasions, such as date nights or anniversaries, where its bold character can be appreciated in a controlled setting. However, its utility ends there; it is far too heavy for casual daytime use, too overtly gourmand for traditional formal settings, and its "nuclear" strength makes it entirely unsuitable for office environments. Blind Buy: Followed is absolutely not a safe blind buy. Typically, when I recommend sampling a fragrance to check its performance, it is because I'm concerned the scent might be too "soft" or lack the longevity to justify its price. Followed requires sampling for the exact opposite reason: it will simply be too much for a lot of people. Its "nuclear" potency means that a single spray can dominate an entire environment, and between that overwhelming volume and the hyper-realistic coffee profile, this is a scent that must be experienced on a small scale first. You need to know if you can coexist with its strength before committing to a full bottle. Final Verdict: Followed by Kerosene is a technical masterpiece of gourmand engineering, delivering a coffee experience that is as terrifying as it is impressive. It successfully captures the raw, bitter essence of unground beans and anchors it with bittersweet chocolate, syrupy caramel, creamy vanilla, and a resinous and spicy amber, creating a scent profile that feels familiar in concept but is on a monumental scale I have never encountered before. However, there is a distinct line between a pleasant aroma and a wearable fragrance; Followed is almost suffocating in its delivery, and its legendary reputation as a performance monster proves to be both a blessing and a curse. While the notes themselves are high quality, the sheer volume at which they are played makes the experience more of an atmospheric event than a personal accessory. All things considered, while I am glad to have finally braved the experience, it is not something I’ll be adding to my collection. It has, however, achieved its goal: I am now genuinely curious to see what else the house of Kerosene has to offer, provided it doesn't strike quite as much fear into me as this one did. Do NOTTTTTTTTT blind buy i had 12 other samples all long lasting-eternal rated samples all i could smell was this, Extreme mapple syrup like smell but more sickening. 3/10.

oh. my. god!!!!!! i did one spray on my wrist at the perfume store. immediately loved it. decided to buy a 1 ml sample. little did i know, this does NOT wash off for some time. i sprayed it at 11 am, then walked 20 000 steps that day in fresh air. i thought i wouldn't smell it at all, but it was SO potent!! then, as any normal person would, i showered. and... i could STILL smell this the next day, after a whole busy day, showering and sleep!! would 1000000% recommend. i will definitely be buying the whole bottle soon.

So I was intrigued by this polarizing perfume and I bought a sample as I am a gourmand lover . So apparently the curry smell that people notice comes from this fragrance fixator called Sotolone which in small/ normal amounts smells like maple syrup but in large quantities ( as in this perfume) it might smell like curry which is what I first got upon opening the box it came in. To test it I used first a blotting paper ( in case it was horrible I heard it is hard to wash off the smell 😂) and upon first smell the dark roast coffee note came through, not unpleasant but not the sweet gourmand I was hoping for either… a bit of maple sweetness but mostly burnt coffee smell which I did not want on my skin so after google-ing how to make this stuff wearable as I did not want to throw it away, I discovered that pairing with a sweet gourmand is the best way to make it less curry-like and more coffee forward so I sprayed Khamrah Qwaha first and then Followed - this turned out to be a great combo and really enjoyed it for about an hour . After that, I had to wash it off because altough the smell was not unpleasent It made me nautious. So if you want to use this fragrance as an enhancer of the coffee note in your other fragrances or add a coffee note to your othe gourmands, it is the best way to make this wearable and makes your other layering fragrance eternal! Later edit: I have washed my wrist 3 times, applied oil first to get rid of the smell and it is still there !!!! I hate it now :))

At first — hot, strong americano, the kind that brings you back from the dead on a Monday morning. Then it starts breaking down into spices and some caramel cotton candy situation, and at that point you’re not sure if you’ve just come back to life or if you’re already attacking the room. The projection is pure extremism. Colleagues could smell the trail all along the corridor from the elevator. “What is that smell?… Some kind of food… and Old Spice?” Faces like they’ve just had a difficult conversation with themselves. Funny thing is, on the wrist it smells gourmand, attractive, almost polite. But that socially dangerous dry down… it has a life of its own. This is intense coffee (even burned) and a bit gourmand, it lasts a long time and it is not going to be liked by other people, it doesnt smell like perfume but a sweet coffee left on the fire for a bit too long. if you graduated on Coffee Addict Theodoros Kalotinis which is a 'younger brother' of this, more likeable coffee scent, and want to move onto something more extreme, this is for you

Believe the hype! This stuff is insane.. I had one spray on the back of my hand which was 12 hrs old and then I also had just put on 8 sprays of Layton Exclusif before going to the gym. I got comments that I smelt like maple syrup. That one old spray dominated all the fresh Layton easily. Opening is strong coffee but after two or three hours it's transitions to a sweet maple syrup, very reminiscent of Maccas pancakes. Nothing I've ever seen comes close to the power of this baby.. It's very likeable too, not something I could wear every day but if you don't mind some gourmand every now and then this won't disappoint.. A 10ml decant is plenty, I couldn't imagine using a 100ml bottle in a lifetime..
