I’m a girl and I love this on me. It’s such a great spring/summer cheapy. I love the aromatics with the warm base. Great for hot days. Great pick up for a great price.

I smelled it for the very first time in 2001. I found it so so sexy! I can still recognize this smell and I do love it till today. I find it seductive, warm, present, masculine. I can recognize maybe only two more fragrances, which I consider for men: one of which I completely dislike, finding its projection way too strong and overpowering any atmosphere, and this is 212 Men. And the other one which I love so much and can recognize it with pleasure, is Silver Mountain Water.

Not too bad. I wouldn’t buy it tho. Got this as a gift. Works well as a quick grab to the gym/for chores. Nothing unique tho. 6/10

No it's not like 212 Men. That one is a sweet creamy grass. This Lanvin is a lavender soapy mint. That's why there is more downvotes than upvotes for the 212 comparison. The 212 is a classic summer scent that kicks ass. This one is just meh.

This is a good alternative to 212...until the drydown. Actually, even before looking at this page, I've already noticed that this is very similar to 212. Up close, there are differences. In the air, very similar. Looking it up here confirmed my first impression. It's also crafted by Alberto Morillas, one of the noses of 212. This was released in 1997 while 212 was in 1999. The dry down is where things get interesting. The profile becomes warm and spicy. Still has that 212 vibe but is now only in the background. The scent totally transformed into another familiar scent. After a few minutes of pondering...Hugo Boss Soul! Looking at Boss Soul's page confirmed the fact that they share quite a few notes. I'm saving my Boss Soul because it is now discontinued and my 50ml is already less than half. This is one of the few bottles in my collection that actually go into stages. I'm impressed 👍

It is musk and citrus, the combined character of the fragrance is cool, blue, citrus, spicy, woody in order of proportion from the flankers of 212, glam men 212, the similarity of the scent with Lanvin lhomm is why? Because the combination of musk and orange in Lanvin with, for example, cocoa and musk and woody compositions in glam evoke almost a similar scent that is not very close, but despite the difference in notes, they induce a dominant citrus scent in the same order, and Lanvin has its own freshness and sweetness. The longevity and diffusion of Lanvin are awful and glam are about 30% better. Galm itself is somewhat similar to 212 men, so perhaps there is a relative similarity between the first and third. In any case, Lanvin lhomme is not recommended due to its longevity and diffusion and repetitive and usual scent, considering the greater strength of 212 and the existence of a cheap and powerful competitor with similar combinations and applications called CK One with a more coherent texture.

This one is fresh and pleasant but very subtle.You will have to spray this on clothing as I can't imagine it lasting too long on skin. Even with ten sprays it's rather light. This is one you can wear if you want something low-key that won't overpower anyone near you but you can still smell it on yourself to lift your spirits.

I arrived late to the party on this one; I missed out. Lanvin L'Homme. This is definitely not a weak fragrance. The first spray on myself, gave me a headache instantly. Very, very bold and fresh. Instant lavender. I love lavender, this has a ton of it. The musk, Sandalwood and bergamot, along with the sage, play nicely together. For $17, an excellent buy. Understated elegance in a nicely fashioned bottle that reminds me of Coach. Well done, well made. Definitely can be formal or informal. This is the kind of fragrance that makes you wish for springtime. Definitely a keeper for me and I will stock up. If this was sold at Macy's, they'd sell it for probably $75 or more. A lot is in this bottle. As for longevity, it's too early to tell, but so far, the scent kind of reminds me of Lever 2000 Original. As relating to a fragrance, Cerruti Image comes closest for me, except Cerruti with the pear notes & sweetness, is more tamer. Try this one and see. 4.5/5. Well done Lanvin. 👏👏👏

The perfect scent to wear with a clean crisp white shirt in the office - I seem to remember that this is also how it was promoted when it was first launched in 1997 which is when I bought my bottle. It's the olfactory analogue of a whitening toothpaste, and it has the kind of vibe you might expect from a shirt that has been freshly laundered in a modern detergent that has made it so brilliantly white that it even has an ultraviolet glow that might jar with some people. Nonetheless, I think it's more elegant and interesting than Azzaro Chrome imo, and not really an aquatic. Great for any professional, and I especially envisage a sharp-suited estate agent, a doctor, or a dentist wearing it regularly. It's a classic to me and can be found absurdly cheap for fragrance from a well respected French designer house, and so you can spray it liberally without guilt in case of any performance issues.

This is a bone-dry herbal citrus fougere, heavy on the bergamot and the sharp herbal notes. It definitely fits in the 1990's "fresh fragrance" style, but Lanvin L'Homme does not smell dated or synthetic. It is not aquatic. This is a timeless, classic scent that is suitable for guys of any age. It's not particularly daring, but it's so well blended. It's both sharp and smooth, showing its many facets (spicy, woody, herbal, citrus, pepper, etc.) over time. It is completely masculine, without being macho. Longevity and sillage with this scent must depend on the wearer's skin type. Unlike most of the reviewers, I get strong projection and a good 8+ hours from Lanvin L'Homme.

Not every fragrance has to last 72 hours or take you on an olfactory journey from one end of the world to the other to be good. This is one of the best fragrances that has ever been formulated. Lanvin L'Homme, Hermès Terre d'Hermès, and Burberry Weekend are what started my fragrance journey back in the early 2000s. Lanvin L'Homme is unbelievably smooth from beginning to end. I would call this a relaxing fragrance, because it will keep your mood mellow the entire time you're wearing it. The first spritzes hit you with mild citrus and a touch of spice that will have you smelling yourself immediately and smiling. This fragrance is so perfectly blended that the transitions from opening to mid-tones to the dry-down are very subtle. It's more of your nose picking up the new notes and joining the mix without subtracting the previous notes at all. The projection is moderate, about 2-3 feet. As your skin warms up the projection increases to around 5 feet. Sillage is also moderate, only about 2ft (which again increases as your skin warms up). The performance is decent. 6-8 hours on a warm day. This is one of those rare fragrances that doesn't smell "tired" by the time it hits the dry-down. This fragrance isn't really for formal wear or sportswear. Light-colored Tees, chinos, jeans, light sweaters, loafers... Think "leisure wear" and you have the definition of Lanvin L'Homme. The perfect spring and summer daytime fragrance. I always have a bottle of this in my stock, and I would gladly give up much more expensive fragrances from my collection before I let this one go.

It's alright but gives me a prominent 90's vibe. Not something I would reach for. Surprisingly decent performance for me though.

A distillation of its time - and i'm shocked this doesn't get more attention as a classic. the mid-late nights where freshness was king, this to me is indicative of that movement but much more. i get all the notes listed but its less than the sum of its parts - its a white oxford button down, or a black tailored suit. i'm just discovering it now (I remember seeing it duty-free, which automatically made me avoid it) and its like a reset from so many over-complicated niche things that I'm bombarded with all the time. its a sorbet course to cleanse the palette. If I ever wanted to just wear a pair of jeans, a white T and birkenstocks for the rest of my life, I think I'd wear this. its so comfortable.

Smells like old furniture from a very long time ago.

A very nice fresh, citrusy scent that is perfect for the summer and spring. Although it is a bit basic, it smells amazing. If you love cheap fresh fragrances this is for you. Let's talk about performance. I get around 5-6 hours with a soft to medium projection. This fragrance works best in the summer and spring mainly. Since it's a bit weak, i recommend 7-9 sprays with this for it to really last longer and project better. Overall: Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection: 6/10 Lanvin L'homme: 7.5/10 Amazing cheap, fresh fragrance for around $20.

Sweet scent Love it

Reminds me to 212 but less green and more aromatic, is a good signature scent for a young person, is very versatile. In the exit has a lavender-citrus-mint very predominant similar to the exit of versace eros EDT, in the core the cardamom and sage brings the masculine vibe, and the drydown has a very pleasent sandalwood, easy to wear, for 20 USD is a blind buy. Conclution: Atemporal versatile fragrance, but a bit boring. Age: 18+ Use: Casual (Summer, Spring) Duration: 5hr+ Sillage: 2hr (medium) Alternatives: for the price i think is good, but if you want something more mature i recommend you Maahir Legacy has fruitiness. ambroxan and is more actual.

Smells Great! In a way it smells like a merge of (Dolce Gabana light Blue & Prada Luna Rossa) Perfect for office, casual outings, formal events, gym. If you like something fresh aquatic with a well rounded spice in the mix you would definitely like this.

Its a powdery fresh cologne with a slight touch of Morillas aqua/sea note. It was my travel colo itgne for a couple of years and I primarily wore it in warm wheather at night. Its not a beast performance wise so six hours is what I got max with some overspraying. I didn't find it too cloying or overly sweet so overspraying wasn't an issue. The cologne that this reminded me of was Montblanc Individual. Same fresh fragrance with moderate performance

It's a pretty nice cologne, like a slightly spicier version of CK Eternity. The only issue with it is the poor longevity and projection, which can be a plus for some, but it's a deal-breaker for me.

I bought it because someone recommended this here on fragrantica as this perfume being an alternative of Prada Luna Rossa cologne, which later on after purchase turned to be an disappointment and a full waste of money, because IT'S BY FAR NOT CLOSE TO IT. The perfume itself looks cheap and if applied too much can DEFINITELY CHOKE SOMEONE due to it's heavy peppery smell. It has an interesting not sweet freshy opening, but at the same time it carries a dissonant heavy dark smell to it which gives me intense headaches. Don't recommend blind buying this one!

I’m a fan of aromatics especially Morillas/Fremont style, but this one I have to agree is too meh for my taste, I prefer the pineapple-rosemary-birch leaf-violet-lavender boosted Sport version. However, as a perfume blend, it is very good. People call this synthetic mess but but it's actually because of all the aromatic natural oils used, the irony. And these aromatics are all contributing to the peculiar metallic effect of the fragrance, which apparently evokes an impression of "synthetic" (whatever that means). This perfume is as synthetic as any other other no matter what the price tag or segmentation (designer, niche, prestige etc.). Actually, it seems to have more natural oils than the average fine fragrance. It's a bergamot oil bomb approximately 15% of the concentrate topped up with lemon, lime, lavandin, green mandarin, geranium, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper oils to support. If you add the additional contents of Linalool and Linalyl acetate (which are major volatile constituents of bergamot, sage and many more) which are often added separately to boost aromatic citrus and floralcy, this fragrance in technical terms can be considered approx. 40% natural, which is A LOT in today's fine fragrances. But here's the thing, just because you add naturals doesn't make things smell like nature. Often natural oils are metallic, camphorous, waxy, minty, leafy...These qualities are not appreciated always by the consumer. I honestly found that Lanvin L'Homme, though not satisfying my expectations from an aromatic fragrance, is a very good example of how metallic feeling can be achieved by smart combination of citrus and aromatic oils in a perfume. The only part I love about Lanvin L'Homme is the sandalwood that can only be smelled if you are lucky and not having the fatigue for it. It precursors in 212 Men area, and I think Morillas indeed took this idea and by boosting violet (ionones) and sandalwood, created 212 Men, where the same metallic feeling is there, but it is wrapped into a "characteristic" floral-musk-sandalwood. Lanvin L'Homme unfortunately misses this identity.

skin test, hot day, female. quite a common scent i feel, but better done than the other cheapy aromatic lemony scents . it didnt last that long, but its great value. leans more aromatic fresh than lemon fresh

#300 in my "Tour de Fragrance" So, I actually tried the Lanvin L'Homme Sport first, as I usually have when evaluating sport flankers and how they compare to original formulas. By definition "sport" fragrances are supposed to be lighter, fresher, less long-lasting than the fragrances they originate from. This is not the first time I have found the sport flanker is more powerful and persistent than the original, which is as close to bottled water as it gets. Firstly, by all rights "L'Homme" is also a sport fragrance. The notes are virtually identical to the sport version with the exception of moss, and a supposedly warmer spice which I don't detect. This lacks the sharpness of the sport. The sport has more citrus note than the original. The sport lasted barely a half hour and this scent didn't make it from the upstairs to the garage despite 12 sprays on the body, eight on the shirt and as many on the jacket. I literally bathed in this stuff, and it couldn't make it out the door. Complete waste of money.
