A bit harsh opening when the rum note is the dominant one, but after few moments the smell settles down as coconut-floral with a little bit of boozy undertone to break the sweetness. I hoped for a long lasting perfume, but it's not bad, it lasts on me for about 6 hours.

Blindbuyaddict buys testers now vol.1.: I got a 10ml decant of this frag. At first, I was disappointed because it was a nauseatingly sweet, screechy mass. A couple of days later it became much smoother and I've grown to really really like this fragrance! It seems like even the decant needed to sit a bit. The creamy and non cloying coconut, the bright tuberose..I was using it during hot summer days, it was perfect. It's also quite long lasting and nicely projecting. Not amazing performance, but a pretty nice performance. If you love tuberose and/or coconut, and you're looking for a summer fragrance, this might be it. My only critic is that the dry down is a bit too powdery for me. Although I really dislike powderiness, even a bit of it can throw me off. I will probably purchase a whole bottle

I was afraid to try this scent. My skin doesn't like rum and plum... Today I was able to test it. Oh God... I need this!!! I've learned a long time ago that your chemistry plays a huge role in how you'll like a frag. Now this one is amazing on me. Jeez... :D :D :D Opens up with a boozy rum scent, but not screechy, not synthetic on me. Then here come the coconut and something wood, it reminds me very much on palo santo. Coconut and some incense-y wood. I don't get any tuberose, any vanilla, any praliné, only the rum, plum, coconut and wood in the first hour. In the second hour, some very smooth sweet accords appear in the distance. First, the tuberose. Then, a bit later on, the vanilla. This is addictive for me. A dry coconut for any day, for any occasion, with just a hint of distant sweetness. Don't blind buy it, give it a try. :)

OMG the rum, the tuberose the coconut! And the dry down morphs into a sexy sweet musky vanilla on me holy shizzballs I have absolutely nothing in my collection that smells like this and transforms like this on my skin absolutely nuclear just the way I like it. She is allowed, proud, and I feel like absolutely made for my pH smells completely different on my husband. But then again. Teriaq Intense smells better on him too, the sexy bastard lol this fragrance is not for the meek. You have to truly appreciate these kind of Fragrances in order to pull this one off unbelievably sexy and beautiful at the same time. I just can’t describe it right just take my word for it and all of the other reviewers. The price point is insane. I just love this. I’m so glad I have this one in my collection and when I run out, y’all know, I’m gonna re-up.

After hearing of its polarizing nature I decided to buy a decant of Petra. I'm writing my first impresions in real time: First thought was "Oh wow, this is different" followed by "there's a note in this that I don't like"... something that smelled bitter, intertwined with flowers and coconut. HOWEVER.. Upon drying the scent definitely improves, and a cloud of beautiful tuberose emerges, I really like it now. It has amazing projection. I will continue testing the scent before buying a full bottle but this is definitely interesting.

so beautiful and and intense - the soft tuberose and coconut are prevalent with a sudden burst of warm rum and vanilla. i love!!

Vanilla, coconut tuberose and rum, very well blended. Wearable through all of the season.Projects well, got a bunch of compliments. I could say it leans a little feminine , but a man could pull this off with some confidence. Packaging is very nice.

This is honestly the worst fragrance I’ve ever smelled. The notes sound so beautiful but the only one I get is RUM. Like you spilled cheap rum all over your clothes. Even after letting it settle. It is so strong, not a little boozy like DBIR Extradose, which is what I was hoping for. I am so disappointed in this one, I can’t even keep it in my collection anymore because the smell is so gag worthy.

Got a decant of this. Just smells like a typical sunscreen fragrance to me, which I am not partial to. The tuberose does add some pizzazz. There’s also a weird spice note in the background which is off putting—maybe the rum? This decant might need some time to let the notes blend. Will let it sit and will update this later. Right now I prefer Tommy Girl Poolside Edition to this, which is very similar but without the tuberose or spice note and with a stronger vanilla. It’s arguably a better value if you can find it at a discount somewhere (I paid $15 USD at Ross).

I WANTED TO LOVE THIS SO BAD!! the notes seemed so lovely and sweet... but i was so disappointed when i tried it on at a store (thankfully hadn't purchased!!) and it was so gratingly repulsive 😞😞

OK so this was my last attempt at trying a Lattafa perfume. The only word I could use to describe Petra is this -exhausting!!! It's both heavy and lound. My nose detects only the rum and the coconut notes, no plum/tuberose, which I was hoping for. It doesn't smell cheap to me, like the other lattafas, but it's just not my thing at all. I live in the Arctic it's 11C today and I'm feeling suffocated and nauseous from the three sprays on my neck. I'd pass out from it on a warmer day.

I love the way this smells in the air. But it smells different on my skin. It’s not so much a love on my skin. So I’m gonna review this based on the scent trail only….. The opening to this is lovely. But the dry down is truly magical. I’m a little surprised that this doesn’t have some kind of citrus in it because to me the opening has a lot of coconut, but there’s also something in here that smells quite citrusy. The musk is also quite obvious. I’m surprised it has praline in here. Whenever I smell fragrances with praline, they tend to be very sweet, but this isn’t very sweet to me. It’s more subtly sweet. You get hints of the rum in the dry down. I don’t smell any plum in here whatsoever. This is definitely niche quality. I’d say it’s unique for sure. It’s not mind blowing, but it is beautiful. And for $30 it’s definitely a 10 out of 10. Definitely worth adding to your collection.

First off, I love this scent. Before purchasing it I was worried due to seeing reviews that the fruit notes smelled rotten. I think this scent was beautifully done. The rum note gives it this very mature beautiful back bone, that is just so wonderfully complimented by the plum. But, this is definitely an acquired taste because I definitely get mixed reviews on it. I love it and it lasts so long on the skin. To me, it gives: drinking a glass of red wine on a beach during the sunset.

Found at Burlington on vacation, not much of choosing that day, so just she & I walked out the store. I had been on the fence, but the bottle. I do love tuberose, so I thought why not. She definitely has had to sit, I can’t even explain what the first sprays were smelling like. I got the 4th weekend, bottle batched 6 m. I tested after a week, didn’t last long, & it was like all the notes were out there on their own. I did the sleep test last night, ok, now we are getting somewhere. A sharp plum liquor opens, quickly the coconut, tuberose, & praline come in. Then it settled to a warm vanilla tubernut. There was no hint of the fragrance anywhere this morning. It is rich, too rich for our thicker than butta air. This is gonna be a Spring & Autumn, even some Winter days fragrance for me. The scent once settled down reminds me of a less dense Teriaq, just a lil. I will enjoy this once it cools a lil & it reaches its potential. And the bottle!! Will be buying Viola just for the bottle, no matter how or what it is supposed to smell like 😬 9/10

To my nose, there’s nothing Mediterranean about Petra: it’s tropical and heady, the sort of thing to wear at Carnival — and it must be terrific in a downpour. It is completely incongruous with its beautiful, if somewhat cheaply made, bottle. It is very, very far from being a nice, discreet scent, but it has punch and personality, and delivers a great fun for an amazingly low price.

Анонім

wanted to legitimately rinse my nose out after smelling this and i’m not someone who is extremely picky with perfume. none of the notes listed are detectable to me besides the rum which makes this smell like a spicy mess.

Анонім

the rum note is actually vomit inducing, at least for me. way too syrupy and sweet. smells like raisins. not blind buy safe and definitely will be returning. only positive is that the bottle is gorgeous.

The amount of horror stories I read about this perfume were very controversial🤣, so I decided to buy it and, to my surprise... meh. It smells like a Mexican medicinal punch, like a traditional hot drink during the Christmas holidays made in a clay pot using water, fresh and dried fruits like tamarind, prunes, hibiscus, sugar cane, cinnamon, sweetened with panela, and with alcohol added at the end. It's basically a much boozier Khamrah. It doesn't last absolutely at all on me. I already gave it 6 months of resting in my drawer, and honestly, I don't understand what was so horrific about it if it doesn't even last. I wish it lasted a bit longer, then it would be more interesting. The bottle design doesn't match the juice at all; they could have perfectly put it in a purple Khamrah bottle and called it Khamrah Inab or Khamrah Plum , ¡que se yo! 🤣 Bottle design: 1/10 (The bottle isn't bad, but it looks cheap) Longevity: 2/10 Sillage: 2/10 Uniqueness: 4/10 Price: ok

I love it, smells like vacation to me. It’s versatile & can layer with other perfumes well. Beautiful bottle & packaging! This was a nervous blind buy that was a win. 💗

This is so nice. And different. Definitely not blind buy safe. Decided to treat myself today but couldn’t decide between this and Dynasty. Went with Dynasty but couldn’t stop sniffing my arm where I’d sprayed Petra. The rum opening was a little harsh for me but after that calms down it’s so addictive. Went back and picked it up on my way home.

Анонім

For me it’s awful, I only smell plum and powder , the dry down smells like incense. It’s like one of those 5bellow nice smelling incense after you burnt it

If you love this, you really loooove it. I've gotten so many compliments when I spray a basic vanilla (any kayali vanilla 28 dupe) and then add this on top. The vanilla kills the sharpness that gets up the nose of the people who hate it lol. One lady walked past me and said I smelled "mesmerizing"...Made me feel all warm inside HAHAHA

Анонім

At first you get the boozy opening, then the drydown is mostly about the coconut and the tuberose. It’s a heavy one for me, recommending her for summer nights. Beautiful fragrance, but definitely not the safest blind buy.

this coconut is heavenly 🤤

This is SEXY! The kind of woman that silences a room just by gliding in. Yes, she glides. She is downright fabulous in everything she does. A gorgeous woman is heading to an exclusive yacht party. Most weren’t even invited and yet she was at the top of the list kind of exclusive. Glowy skin, gold jewelry and a cream linen cover up set, over a cream colored triangle bikini with gold detailing. Her scent has to reflect the day: she grabs for Petra. The wind is whipping through her luscious locks, as she sips from her champagne glass and looks beyond the ship and its rippling waters. Luscious wafts of her scent permeate the air and the entire memory. Petraaaa 💋 I can’t stand a boozy fragrance and yet I’m madly in love with this. All my nose gets is the wealthiest coconut and tuberose ever. If you love coconut and tuberose, I don’t see how you can go wrong as the booze is light, as well as the musk which is light, clean but airy with just enough pizazz to linger. The plum, vanilla and praline is SO yummy. Sweet but not overly so, very balanced actually. There is absolutely nothing juvenile about this scent, her bank account has to many zeros for that 🥂✨ If you want to make the people go absolutely mad: Layer Eos coconut lotion, Golden sands rollerball fragrance oil (Amazon) and Dolce and Gabbana The only one intense EDP. I’m wearing it right now. I’m downright emotional. I love fragrance so much 🥹✨

I got this as a gift, and at first I HATED it. It smells way too mature, almost borderline grandma. But now, I can’t stop spraying it. I’m not a huge fan of scent notes like tuberose or praline. I’d say the musk and plum save it, and the boozy finish once it dries on the skin makes it more palatable to the nose. But it’s really grown on me, and it layers well. Plus, the packaging and presentation is absolutely gorgeous.

Анонім

It is sweet but not too much and not cloying. It is not juvenile fragrance, but grown up. Very interesting, it is very well blended, so difficult to detect notes but I smell plum, liquor, flowers...it reminds me tropical nights, elegant and free. Beautiful fragrance, feminine, captivating, alluring. Smells amazing straight out of the box.

Love at first sniff for me. Middle Eastern fragrances and I usually don't get along unless they're duping another frangrance, but this is a stand alone scent and it is spectacular. Boozy, plummy, coconutty and rich. It's perfect for summer, but totally suitable for cold months as well. I don't have anything like this in my collection and reach for it often. Performance is outstanding.

I get a fishy smell

I usually don’t like coconut scents. Petra has some Plum, boozyness and tuberose. I don't really get coconut Lovely frangance
