Old fart here to report that the version of this we had in the late 90s and early 2000s was great. If some niche house remade it and made it perform I bet a lot of us would want to pick a bottle

Straight rubbing alcohol smell last only couple minutes maybe it was good back then now no don't waste your times. Even for price there are better stuff on the market

I have been living with my Aunt and Uncle for the past few years, and I found this unopened bottle of 'Curve for Men' by Liz Claibourne wedged in between some storage in their upstairs bathroom. I imagine one of my older cousins bought it for prom back in 2006 and forgot to wear it, or got it as a gift and decided they would wait to open it but just never did. I had just been getting into more masculine scents when this popped up, and I do like it but I haven't gotten a lot of wear out of it. On paper, it smells really nice - like a soaped-up gentleman wearing aftershave. On my skin there appears this kind of urinous note, which I think can be amended with some flattering and cohesive lotion, but it's been mostly a pass for me for that reason. I am really interested in other works by this perfumer, Deville, however. As they've made some other exceptional scents, like Happy by Clinique and Jo Malone's Orange Blossom - two beautiful scents I associate with my best friend. I do keep Curve on my nightstand, as I'm determined to give it another try in the cooler months!

The smell of every club & gym in the late 90's & early 2000's. Very nostalgic scent that almost every guy I knew back in my college years wore lol I became so tired of it, but it's a classic.

It smells like a lighter less metallic version of Green Irish Tweed to me. For the price, its still a really solid smell, 30 years later.

Imagine you're in the high school boy's bathroom that was just scrubbed with lemon scented bleach by the janitor after being told one of the boys pissed all over the door. That is exactly what this smells like to me and I will not explain further. I had snuck into my father's room to smell this cologne he prides himself of and I started gagging upon spraying it. I don't know if it was expired... but either way this smelt RANCID.

I like this smells like my dad when I smell this I think of him in todays time it’s weak and don’t last and smells little different then it use to back then it lasted and projected very good I have a lot of frags and for some reason it’s one of my most compliment frag it’s crowd pleasing my fav thing about this is it’s very unique nothing else smells like it I wish people would take inspiration from this and make it there own it last in today’s time 3-4 hours and don’t projects long you can tell it’s water down for me it’s a 10/10 frag in my opinion from the uniqueness it has and knowing how good it use to be in today’s time 5/10 I think you can rock this every season any event except winter

Ok, this is a nice creation from '96 and I can say that years ago I wore it quite often. It has a master perfumer in its hip pocket, although his master creation has definitely faded to be only a shadow of itself and needs to be over sprayed to shine. It's a nice green, herbal citrus with a hint of spice and floral. I think it is a fragrance that has so much going on in its note profile that it becomes something slightly different depending on your own chemistry. To me ... it is a spicy woody floral and in spite of it's budget price, has appeal across many age ranges. IF you are over 50 and enjoy this scent profile, then my advice is to buy its slightly more mature big brother, also created by master perfumer Jean Claude Delville in '97 ... CLAIBORNE SPORT. It has just a little bit more floral to it, but still comes off a a spicy woody floral with better performance and longevity and at a similar budget price. Either way you go ... CURVE is still a worthy budget fragrance that is still relevant today.

Reminds me of Dior Higher Energy. Calvin Klein Escape is a muskier and aquatic resemblance. Overall, this is nice. Fougere! Fruity with the barbershopesque give pineapple greeness and freshness. But this is creamy smooth with green-bite around edges.

I remember this ass in a tin you'd open and would last maybe 30 minutes lol.

Great fragrance worth picking up a bottle

Longevity - 4–6 hours average (can fade quicker due to cologne concentration) Projection - First hour: moderate Mid: light scent bubble Late: close to skin Not strong, more casual presence Weather Suitability - Best: Spring / Summer / daytime Great for: daily wear, errands, casual use Not for cold nights [ The Opening ] Pineapple, Lemon, Lavender, Juniper, Neroli, fresh fruity aromatic burst Experience: juicy pineapple sweetness sharp lemon citrus herbal lavender + juniper (slightly “gin-like”) First impression: fresh, slightly sweet, green citrus with a nostalgic vibe [ The Heart ] Bergamot, Cactus, Ginger, Sage, Cardamom, Violet, green spicy core Experience: greener and more herbal slightly spicy from ginger + cardamom fresh but less fruity First impression: green aromatic freshness with light spice [ The Dry Down ] Musk, Sandalwood, Mahogany, Cedar, Amber, Vetiver, woody base Experience: soft woods clean musk slight warmth from amber Final stage: clean woody skin scent with a faint sweetness Imagine the Smell - You just stepped out of the shower and grabbed something fresh and easy. There’s a burst of pineapple and citrus, bright, slightly sweet, and energetic. Then it turns greener, like fresh air mixed with herbs and a hint of spice. As it settles, it becomes a clean woody scent sitting close to your skin, simple, fresh, and easy to wear without thinking.

I enjoy the scent profile, kind of smells like a barbershop. my friend's brother had it and I smelled it, its fresh and kind of smells like shaving cream in a good way. you can wear this anywhere but probably more in summer.

Анонім★★★★★

Blind bought this cause it was cheap and I liked the scent profile, its not my favorite tbh but its pretty good still. Smells like something your dads friend would wear for poker night.

Анонім★★★★★

Generic, but alright. Opens up very herbally. Dries down with the same profile but with more aromatics and a fresh spicy tweak. Kind of smells like a man that tries to smell good but you can tell he’s been busy at work. Horrible longevity and spillage, you can spray this 15 times and it won’t really last but decent scent profile. Blind buy safe.

My husband has Fierce, and I just picked this up for him the other day. Well...I didn't realize this was of any relation to Fierce (I bought it because I also bought myself Curve for women), but Fierce is one of my favorites of all time for men. Consequently, so is this now too. What can I say? I'm a Millennial woman. 😌🙃 I don't want this entire review to be a comparison, but at some level I cannot help it, in my life Fierce made it's presence known first, so I'm perceiving this from that vantage point. I literally have the bottles out and have sprayed them both. Both open with a brisk, clean, bracing, albeit synthetic fruit. From the jump Curve is softer, and hints toward more spice, but Fierce reveals it's intention of drying down into the aggressive laundry musk (almost metallic) that it does. Curve takes a more meandering, soft (fitting, given the name), rounded approach. There's more spice, yes, I smell a little cinnamon and the texture of violet melding with cardamom - plushy. "Plushy" could never be applied to Fierce IMHO, as it feels almost scratchy. I truly do love both, but they are different enough not to be redundant. Curve also feels warm in a sweeter way, whilst Fierce is warm, but more like hot cotton. There's almost something vanillic within Curve, something that is to be discovered and potentiated by skin chemistry. Fierce always feels like it sits *over* my husband's (or anyone else I ever smelled wearing it) skin - like an extention of clothing itself. Curve is more intimate both is sillage, but also in the emotive meaning/feeling of the word. I'm not trying to be diplomatic, I lean toward Fierce about 10% more, but both absolutely have their place. Curve is overall a safer option, more introverted, more sensitive, warmer, and smoother. Fierce is more assertive. However, if you like one, you'll probably like the other. Also, I see how this men's version of Curve is complimentary toward the women's; they both contain a similarly soft, sandalwoody base. And on that subject, I am pleased to say, it's a 90s-2000s sandalwood, not the Santal 33-esque picklewood of modern times. Overall, this is an amazing budget fragrance and feels skillfully constructed. It's hard to even pinpoint all of the notes, because it's smooth. I think it's aged beautifully, and only feels dated in a cool, throwback way, not in a tacky way whatsoever. I enjoy this more than the vast majority of newer releases for guys.

Its a classic....... thats all it has going for it!

This is a very “you pay for what you get” type of cologne. Sprayed it on tester didn’t smell it, sprayed on skin and it was very faint, great for teens on a budget but not recommended for the bachelor. I would only recommend this to a mom looking for a cheap mass appealing cologne for her teen son looking for something better than axe body spray

Nostalgic for me. Found a indie perfume. Casi perfecto. It’s just like the original Curve. It’s hard to say for sure but I remember the original 90s bottle I had was strong. Now it’s meh. But that could be cause I was 13 spraying away. Or the inevitable reformulation. Still smells the same and I only use this now after I shave. My kids will probably remember this smell and associate it with my shave scent just as my dad had his scent that I can remember today.

Анонім★★★★★

Used to be pretty good, but now it just reeks of alcohol. Old formulation used to be a lot better. Sad! 7/10

Анонім★★★★★

If this was in a LV bottle, people would happily fork over $$$ if you haven’t smelled this, or if it’s been a while, give it a sniff and imagine if LV released a 99% similar frag. It would sell.

When this came out I wasn't paying any attention to fragrance so I don't remember it. I recently found a bottle made by Claiborne. But as someone observed, the DNA of this one was copied so many times in the intervening decades that many people, including myself, will swear they've smelled Curve when perhaps they were actually smelling any number of imitators. Is it bad? No but there's dozens of others almost exactly like it if not better. Is it dated? If it is, it's only because it's been duplicated so many times it's become generic. Victim of its own success, I suppose.

amazing when i was a teenager. i felt so cool wearing this. some days out of the year i will wear this as a daily cologne. nostalgic therefore 9/10

I hunted down a small OG bottle (Liz Claiborne Cosmetics, not EA Fragrances). Decent scent, okay performance; not a "forgotten gem." A little too citrusy sweet for me. Sorta in the neighborhood of Eau de Grey Flannel and Claiborne for Men.

Анонім★★★★★

I bought this for nostalgic purposes and also wanted to see how it faired almost 30 years later. To be honest, this scent does smell dated but not in an old man type way. My wife actually does not like this one as she thinks it smells synthetic. To me thats why it smells dated. Curve was definitely a staple during simpler times. I honestly enjoy wearing this in the fall during cool mornings it smells great. Would I get this again? Probably not, but I am glad that I was able to relive this once abused staple from simpler times. The Gents Score 7/10

Анонім★★★★★

The best back to school scent in my opinion and I usually spray this casually when I go out or before going to sleep to smell great at night. I spray cologne each night and these amazing nostalgia fragrance's are my ideal option.. I feel like the projection and sillage on this one got a bit weaker as oppose to when it came out. Still good but I have to say moderage on sillage and projection. Becaureful not to overspray because you can actually smell a lot and overwhelm people. Aboeve average on everything and amazing on all seasons and times except winter.

Loved this stuff as a kid. Just recently got a 6.7oz thinking I would love like I did in the 90s and 2000s. I was wrong. I didn't like it at all. Seemed outdated honestly. I smelled cigarettes and leather couches from nostalgia of smelling/wearing this at my Grandpa's house as a kid which made it unappealing from smelling tobacco. I sold it.

Анонім★★★★★

this is probably one of the best men scents ever made! no wonder its been so popular for so many years, unfortunately, the new batches for the past 10-15 years are reformulated, and super synthetic, with a very bad longevity. if ill buy any, it will be for the nostalgia factor only. P.S- i cant really smell the Legend/fierce resemblance ... Curve is superior to both (smell wise) ...

Анонім★★★★★

Just purchased my second bottle. My first bottle was purchased in '96 or '97, and was gone before Y2K. This is just being added for nostalgia. Not any other reason. Just nostalgia. I expect it to bring back many good memories of (almost) 30 years ago...
