This and the body lotion called "AFRICAN PARADISE" by LUSH used to be my perfect combination. If only BOTH weren't discontinued! 😭

I'm surprised no one else compares this to Christian Dior Dune. I get the same salty amber wood powder and solar citrus on top as Dune- plus a layer of fruity Frangipani suntan lotion. Really lovely if you enjoy beachy scents that are a little different from the coconut variety. Fleur de Corail pushes off my wrist enough that I can smell it without looking for it. @RottigrlNYC if you don't mind a sweet ambery fragrance I recommend tracking down an older bottle of Mariah Carey M for a Frangipani gem.

From the very little I got to smell this (the bottle broke) I was able to get a sweet citrus, slightly beachy scent. It's a great unique scent.

Анонім★★★★★

The opening is horrible and sharp (like lemon scented cleaning products or like someone here mentioned - bug spray) but I promise it's worth hanging on and waiting a few moments. The dry down is soft and closer to fresh florals and a sunny beach.

This is the most realistic beachy scent I’ve encountered so far, though is an interesting one with a wild scent journey. The opening is quite harsh and punchy, which lasts for about 15 minutes. Then I get a blast of frangipanis but with this salty, almost biting quality to it. It smells sweet yet doesn't at the same time. Some reviews have said that the salty quality of this scent is not so much about the salt itself, but rather the saltiness of your skin after spending time at the beach. I have to agree with this statement and feel that, just as your skin is left with a layer of saltiness from spending time at the beach, the saltiness in this scent has the same effect in its interplay with its sweetness. So back to the scent journey. The salty frangipani scent fades, and this light powderiness comes forth. It's very faint. This then fades into a whisper of a scent. Can't put my finger on what this skin scent smells like--it's like a melding of everything that came before it, but it's pleasant. The entire scent journey was about 3-4 hours from beginning to end. There is an Indian dish that is composed of these side dishes on a huge silver round platter, and everything on that dish encompasses all 5 flavors (sweet, salty, bitter, sweet, umami). I'm forgetting the name of this dish, but this fragrance reminds me of that. It's intriguing and unique in all it's layers, yet I think that's also what's throwing me off. I don't know how I feel about it, and that may just be enough for me to make my decision about this. My loves or strong likes are undeniable. This one is well-composed but kind of a conundrum--like an art piece.

I’m a fan of the brand, and I feel privileged to own a bottle of this that it’s still half full. One, because the bottle is gorgeous, and two because of the smell. I blind bought it a while back when I was looking for a more marine fragrance (I already had 2 other fragrances from the brand) and I was expecting something a lot more aquatic than that, the citric was more evident than I expected but it still makes you think of the summer and the sea. LL perfumes always seem to have a powdery quality to them, which I find very charming, and with fleur de corail it is just the same. It is feminine and soft, low-key cozy.

My mom gifted this to me as a teenager, mostly for the bottle design. I judged it too harshly on the opening notes, scrubbed it off immediately after spraying, and then left it untouched for 10+ years. I've learned since then that opening notes can fads into a a totally different scent after a few minutes, so I gave this one another shot today. It's beautiful! I still get a bitter, unpleasant "bug spray" scent immediately after spraying, but it quickly fades into a clean, soft, powdery, slightly sweet tropical white floral. There's no coconut note listed, but it's very coconutty to me. Almost almondy. This is the summer I'll finally put a dent in this beautiful bottle that's been collecting dust for so long.

Анонім★★★★★

It's beautiful and unique. It's sad that they discontinued it. It's fresh creamy tropical floral scent. It's a little bit powdery. It's a true beachy on a tropical island scent. It reminds me of the beach with warm sand ,salty ozonic air ,wooden boat and tropical exotic flowers. It's a mermaid on land scent. It's magical ,dreamy and exotic. Oh I'm afraid my bottle will run out without getting a backup bottle. It's overshadowed by l de lolita but it's equally beautiful. It's addictive

It really have that sunscreen, luxurious SPA, creamy, hot-sand quality. It reminds me of Nuxe Prodigieuse Body Oil/ Nuxe Prodigieuse Perfumes.

Анонім★★★★★

beautiful i love how well the design matches with the scent, the citrus and florals gave off the impression of a hot beach in jamaica, and the drydown is very dirty, in a good way. the scent matches well with my skin at least, and the brine of the driftwood, and the powdery musk makes for an amazing dry down design wise i adore the L collection and its aquatic mermaid like feel, hope i can get a full bottle soon

Man, I wish I had a full bottle of this. I have maybe one squirt left in a tiny sample I got from my sister 100 years ago. I have no idea what frangipani smells like, so I can’t really identify what I find so magical about this. It is powdery, creamy and I can maybe pick up on the sunscreen vibe after reading those comments. But there is something deep, mysterious and exotic about it. I don’t even have the words for it. There’s also some weird licorice type smell, and I’m not mad at it. It adds to the depth and the mysterious quality. It’s foreign but familiar at the same time. I generally don’t like aquatic smells, but this is somehow aquatic without being beachy. More like a still, mystical pool? Overall an intriguing, round and innocently inviting olfactory dream.

Анонім★★★★★

I found it in a random natural products store at a good price. Since I always wanted to smell that perfume I quickly blind bought it. This is the smell of a magical mermaid. It's not an aquatic perfume, nor really tropical. It still somehow smells like the beach. It's hard to describe. It has some sort of very slightly "dirty" smell, like warm sand that dried on your skin. Maybe the musk mixed with the driftwood ? It might be off putting for some but to me it adds character. I can smell the frangipani. I never smelled natural frangipani before so I cannot judge but it's warm and soft frangipani, not the cheap loud in your face one. The orchid just adds some exotic flowery smell, it's not really detectable. Overall it's a beauty. It's special without being annoying. It's sexy without being aggressive. Young without being juvenile. It lasts all day on my skin. One spray on my chest is enough if I go to the office. Maurice Roucel did a fantastic job here. One true gem. It's now among my favourite :)

Finally getting around to adding a review on this. I've had this bottle for a few years now. The first time I tried this it brought me back to high school and an inexpensive "drug store" fragrance girls wore in the 1980s - Love's "Rain Scent". It's an odd soapy, oceanic, clean open. A wee bit of suntan lotion. I don't get any of the citrus. I do love this on a hot summer day. The frangipani sails in after a while, but departs quickly. What I'm left with is a beachy, salty, and warm skin drydown. It's hard to explain, but I really like this one. It does not smell like any of the other Lolitas. There's no gourmand, no spice, just a warm beachy vibe. It has great longevity on a temperate day.

Анонім★★★★★

I live in tropical country where I easily find and sniff frangipani directly from its tree. Fleur de Corail captures and represents the frangipani quite well. It's not a realistic or linear frangipani tho, but in perfumes I expect more than a linear interpretation of ingredients. I love how marine, salty, and musky-fresh this one is, but I also adore it for its ambery and lactonic drydown without being a gourmand.

Bring out your tissues, I have a sad story to tell :’( I bought a 3/4 full bottle off a nice lady on a social media marketplace. I have 3 Lolita Lempicka (original, EDT, and Defendue), and thought “what the heck, the bottle looks cute”. Now, I tend to get sold on the poetic reviews, imagining myself running through a meadow of lush dandelions whilst sipping on a soy chai mocha latte frappe, but alas, most of my experience is *spray*, “ew”, scrub. So I had low expectations for this, and I was not disappointed. The opening was powder, the middle was more powder, and the dry down was still powder with maybe just an itty bitty hint of something woody. It wasn’t “ew” by any means, but it wasn’t memorable. By and large perfumes either go all out powder or woody on me, it’s hard for me to find something that smells more than one note. I am a horrible example to use for a review of this product. I am so envious of those running through a lush meadow of yummy notes, I don’t like just standing in one spot with a piece of wood or a compact of powder. Maybe it’s my chemistry, maybe it’s my nose. I recently found out I have aphantasia, an inability to visualize- maybe I have an inability to smell more than one note as well? Don’t use me as a gauge for this juice, I would love to smell this on someone whose chemistry agrees with it, I’m sure it’s lovely. End of sad story.

Анонім★★★★★

It reminds me of Black Ananda by Micallef. Lempicka is stronger and performs better though. It is an intense scent with grapefruits on top, but heavy on the white flowers - to me it is orange blossom. It is complex and has a good base and amazing lasting power. One of perfumery gems in the composition (complex), originality, performance and lasting power cathegories. I wish Lempicka would stick to her best creations like the original narcotic Lempicka apple L de Lolita, this one and perhaps stay with Sweet for girly sweet lovers.

Driftwood? Why would anyone put a dirty driftwood into a perfume with such beautiful notes? What crazy person thought this up? I bet it’s the driftwood that is ruining this perfume. They need to get that nasty note out and add more frangipanni and vanilla and it will be perfect. I mean how can u not have a beautiful perfume with frangipanni, amber and vanilla. She should have used sandalwood, maybe driftwood was a lot cheaper. And it ruined the perfume.

Анонім★★★★★

Really weird scent... Gorgeous citrussy opening, offputting heartnotes that smell like not very fresh flowers and worn clothes, somehow warm but not in a pleasant way (rather dirty) and nice and cozy drydown that reminds me really vaguely od Dune. The whole combo is rather delicate with soft silage, warm and slightly ambery. If you survive the middle notes, after 5 minutes the scent settles and becomes quite wearable.

Анонім★★★★★

I was anticipating to open it for so long. Hot summer days, rainy evenings. From the very beginning until the end of development it reminds me A LOT not very well known perfume by Starck " Peau De Soie", created by Domonique Ropion. My advise for those who crave EDC but can't find, go get Peau De Soie. It it a loud version of FDC. Starck's one will stay way more longer, will noticebly project and gives you a bit sharp masculine vibe first minutes. Then develops similarly. But I would say that PDS is a bit muskier , kind of deeper, but still for spring/summer time.

Анонім★★★★★

I only bought this because I saw the Frangipanni note and I adore Frangipanni but this perfume is so weak, I can’t even smell any of the notes . It’s a huge disappointment. I’m still searching for a lovely frangipanni perfume and if anyone can suggest one, I’d really appreciate it.

Анонім★★★★★

Beautiful powdery "hot skin" effect white flowers. Soft, very natural, not sweet - great for summer days on beach or in the city. Quite unique I would say - as since launch of that fragrance I did not smell anything similar. As all that tan lotion, frangpani based perfumes are quite typical and similar to each other (Beach walk Margiela, Beach Bobbi Brown, Terracota, etc).

Анонім★★★★★

I've tried it three times and I still can't decide if it's a "like" or a "meh". The opening is kinda harsh and smells like a tropical resort's lounge, all citrus and suntan, while the middle phase is a beautiful woody frangipani. However, the drydown gets too powdery and it doesn't convince me either. Projection is good and lasting power is excellent, so far it's 12h on my skin. Summarizing, I've got mixed feelings about this one, but I guess that, if you like suntan scents, you'll enjoy it. 6/10

Анонім★★★★★

So...I'm getting different notes from what others are talking about. This starts out with a blast of sunscreen, but that's gone in a few seconds to be replaced with fresh orange, bergamot, and neroli. Heavy on the neroli. This mixture then deepens and becomes heady and boozy, no longer fresh, with a new-agey, head shop vibe to it. After a few minutes of this, it dries down to a pure, creamy frangipani, though it never loses its boozy-ness. I love this. It's unlike anything I've smelled in the perfume world, this is a rich, creamy fragrance with a bold personality. This scent makes me thing of bright reds and yellows, a sunset on Maui with a frangipani lei around your neck and a fruit-filled, rum-based drink with a slice of pineapple on the rim in your hand. This is NOT your typical light, sporty beach fragrance, yet I feel like it's just as appropriate for beach wear as any such scent. This is a mermaid siren's scent, that would aid her in enticing unwitting mariners to their doom. Edit: I've been wearing it a while now, and am sad to say that (at least in warm, muggy climates) it does not last above two hours. I still love it, though. 6/10

Oh my goodness. Why did Lolita ever discontinue many of their unique fragrances like this one and L de Lolita especially. There is a similarity with this and L de Lolita and that's the spiciness you get from them both but they are so different and I love it. They are absolute gems. This is so unique and is so reminiscent of what I would consider a beach scent. It's not suntan lotion like. But the fragipani makes it so tropical. There is musk in this to give you the impression of an aquatic feel to it but it is balanced with citruses and yet there is a creaminess to it because of the fragipani that makes it so airy yet tropical. It lasts all day and sillage is medium to past arms length. I love it and the bottle is reminiscent of the misty sea in a foggy aqua shaped heart with trinkets on top. Lolita you really need to make a come back and bring all the classics back!! You have many fans who would welcome them especially this and L de Lolita.

Анонім★★★★★

This opens salty and fresh with the bergamot...almost a tangy beginning and nothing at all like L de Lolita. The only thing that makes this a flanker really is the bottle, I find they are not even cousins when it comes to scent. That being said, it is gorgeous, as most LL scents are, and well worth hunting down a bottle. As the fragrance dries down you get warm amber and driftwood, and a generous tropical dose of frangipani throughout. The frangipani is lovely and present, but is not overly strong. This is a warm, salty, powdery and nearly creamy scent after a few hours, and I really love it. The bottle is the same base design as L de Lolita (heart shaped aqua stone)...but it's frosted rather than clear, with coral adornments. Discontinued but still relatively affordable.

A beach wedding. Opens with grapefruit, sugar and a silver spoon, then the frangipani* kicks in. Waxy flower leis, festoons of them everywhere, sweet and heavy, lovely, but overdone. The bride carries orchids, but you can't smell them. Hours later there's breezy musk on dunes, and driftwood drying in the sun. The next day, an odd amber citrus still clings to the skin, like sand in unexpected places. *(Does anyone else think "fancy-panties" when they read the word frangipani?) (Only me?) (This is awkward now.)

Анонім★★★★★

I was looking for a perfume with Frangipani. That flower sound so exotic. When I saw that Fleur de corail by Lolita Lempicka featured Frangipani I was pretty sure to like it because the nose behind it is the great Maurice Roucel and usually I like the Lolita Lempicka perfumes. In Fleur de corail, the frangipani is not the main theme but it has a good presence. It's fresh but also has a little powdery side. In summertime, I prefer to wear a light perfume than a cologne. So Fleur de corail is perfect for more than 30 degrees.

Анонім★★★★★

This is such a confusing scent to me. It was advertised as a youthful summery ocean related kind of scent which also reflects strongly in the bottle design (which is just lovely btw.) On me though this translates nothing at all like that. I do get some Frangipani and some saltiness from this, but most of all this is powder on me. Powder over powder. And finally drying down it develops to smell exactly like the soap my late aunt Mary used to always have in her bathroom. Personally to me this is really an old lady's scent (I'm talking 80+), but as it conjures up some childhood memories for me I still kind of like having it around. I just can't say even at 34 that I feel comfortable wearing this out as on me it really has a strong old lady's vibe. I much prefer its sister L which is a bit warmer and sweeter (even though admittedly that one smells exactly like late aunt Mary's moisturizer... but that's for another review)

Анонім★★★★★

I don't know if this depends on my skin but this perfume opens up with super strong musk! After a few minutes the frangipani note shines trough and it becomes more summery, soft and floral.

Анонім★★★★★

Wow, Much stronger than "L". Deeper and more projection. Longer lasting as well. I didn't think I would smell such a difference. I basically got this fragrance to add to my collection but I am glad I did. Very hard to find and it is really a lovely, sweet, deep, amber forward scent in the middle and dry down. I got lighter sweeter maybe floral when first applied but quickly deepened and softened into a nice powdery amber. I do still love this offering but probably my least favorite of the others I have tried. Nonetheless, a Love even so.
