I’ve heard so much about this fragrance and finally got a decant. First spray I was like what the crap is this?!?!?! It wasn’t horrible but weird and underwhelming. About 30 mins later I’m walking around and smell the most amazing scent & just knew it couldn’t be the weird perfume from a few minutes ago - it sure was! Decided to wear it again after a shower & exfoliation & purchased immediately. This fragrance is unique in a wonderful way & I can’t stop obsessing over it. It kinda reminds me of God is a Woman fragrance by Ariana Grande (I think). Slightly sweet & fruity but clean & airy! Can’t wait to add my new bottle to the shelf!
I love wearing this as a man, reminds me a lot of Gucci Guilty Elixir but doesn't smell the same at all. Such a calming and peaceful fragrance.
In my opinion, this is definitely worth the hype. I think you would like this if you like Valaya or Thé Soft Lawn.
i really liked this when i first sprayed it - sparkling, fresh, a bit sweet, verrrryyy dryer sheet. but the more i wear it, the more i do not like it! there's something off here, and it may be the strength of this perfume and/or the ambroxan?? its an absolute beast! the strength of the sweet dryer sheet scent did not sit well with me at all. i think this would be lovely it was more transparent. but as is no way. tbh i couldn't wait to scrub this off!
Smells like I did a hard day’s tree surgery. Really getting stuck in with branches, soil and wet leaves. 🧤 🌳 🪚 On the plus side I feel at one with nature and Mother Earth. Downside, really need to wash it off.
When I first smelled it, I wasn't completely convinced. The linden blossom felt unfamiliar, and I even wondered if it might become a little too much over time. But instead of growing tired of it, I found myself reaching for it again and again. Every time I wore it, I loved it a little more. What surprised me the most wasn't just how much I fell in love with Tilia, but how it quietly opened the door to an entire floral family I had never appreciated before. I never imagined yellow florals could feel this beautiful. The first time I wore this fragrance outdoors I was on an ordinary walk to the grocery store. Winter had only just loosened its grip, and for the first time that year, I had left the house wearing a light jacket. During that walk, the breeze would carry the scent back to me, and I found myself turning my head just to breathe it in again. The weather still hadn't caught up with summer, but this perfume already had. It felt as though I was walking beneath blooming linden trees on a warm summer evening, wrapped in their soft golden scent. It changed the season around me. It doesn't transport me to a specific place I've been before, but to a place that feels strangely familiar, almost like a memory I never actually lived. To me, Tilia smells golden. Not bright yellow, but the warm light just before sunset. Airy, comforting and full of life, yet never loud. One small note: if you're hoping to experience the beautiful warmth of the linden blossom, I'd recommend keeping it to just one or two sprays. I found that anything beyond that takes the fragrance in a different direction, where it starts to feel sharper, more synthetic, and slightly harsh on my nose. At the right dosage, though, it's pure magic.
Is this a joke ? Someone must explain the hype to me. Is this the Tilia everyone's talking about ? I agree with so many people below ⚠️ I wore it 3 days straight (the ordeal) just in case it’d become spectacular. I wasn't expecting anything but I'm still disappointed. A soap on ambroxan steroids. A scent that oscillates between toilet cleaner and an emphatic memory of a grandmother. A flat fragrance, enhanced by this note of Finish Lemon dishwashing grease remover, and this Ambroxan that overwhelms all the naturalness of the flowers. But without it, there would be no density nor volume... so we thank it as much as we hate it. Good longevity and projection (alas), Tilia is simple and terribly lacking depth. It's a sanitized floral that I find borderline unpleasant. It smells of chemicals, cosmetics, too feminine, without character or charm. Rather than evoking a garden of lime trees in the sun, it recalls the smell of a cheap shampoo. I would not even gift that to my granny. It is clearly much more popular among Americans than it is in Europe. I prefer by far the Linden of "La Chasse Aux Papillons" by Artisan Parfumeur. 4/10 👎
At this point, Quentin Bisch should just give me his bank account number so I can deposit my money directly into it. This is stunning, elegant, and gorgeous. To my nose, I literally smell like champagne.
I fell in love with it from the very first sniff. It's an absolute masterpiece. I avoided it for so long because I thought I didn't like yellow florals, and now I seriously regret it. Tilia is feminine, clean, soapy, floral, and incredibly sophisticated. The sweetness is perfectly balanced, and the fresh floral touch keeps everything light and effortless. At this point, I'm convinced it's not a coincidence that I love almost every Quentin Bisch fragrance. The man is a genius. This isn't the most unique scent I've ever smelled. It feels familiar and doesn't try too hard to be bold or complicated. Some people might find it a little synthetic, but I actually enjoy that clean, laundry-like vibe, so it works really well for me. I own a few fragrances in the same style, but Tilia feels like the most refined version of this clean, feminine DNA. It reminds me of the smell of freshly washed clothes with a high-end laundry detergent. It makes me think of a chic, confident woman wearing cream-colored linen outfits, layered delicate jewelry, and bracelets that softly jingle as she moves. Someone who enjoys slow evenings with friends, beautiful tables under the trees at sunset, and long, effortless conversations. The blend of linden blossom, jasmine, and honey gives it such a beautiful personality. It's neither overly innocent nor overly bold. Just clean, feminine, and quietly confident. If you love fragrances with understated elegance, Tilia is definitely worth trying. If Ganymede were a man in real life, he'd probably find a woman like Tilia incredibly attractive. 😂
Very strong soap scent Intrusive, strong—it reminds me of 80s perfumes, meant for women who crave attention and want to be the center of things... the kind of thing Alexis from *Dynasty* would wear. That was my immediate impression. It’s definitely not my style, nor would I ever want to wear it. It reminds me of women lacking style and class who try to play the part of "old money" socialites, or influencers living fake lives on Instagram.
I barely smell any florals here at all. It's mostly just a linear synthetic wood smell to me, resembling some kind of maintenance product for hardwood floors. I compared it directly to L.O.'s Tiglio Mirabilis and they are totally different to my nose: there I get a heady full blast of rather sensual, almost dirty white/yellow floral that seems a much more naturalistic linden blossom smell. On the other hand, Tilia does give a very decent sillage for a relatively long time, so if you like this fragrance you will love its performance.
This was a blind buy, and goodness I have never been so inlove with such a perfume. At first sniff, it was heavenly, airy, lovely. From top to base notes, it is a perfect sophisticated, womanly perfume. It radiates elegance, cleanliness, and happiness. I can't stop reaching out to this. I do hope I won't get noseblind or get tired of it since it is such a gorgeous scent. If you want to be THAT woman who is delicate and wants to radiate cleanliness, this is it.
I never thought that I will feel in love with a feminine perfume. Tilia to my nose is a more refined and creative version of Reflection man/Pegasus dna with heavy radiant silage and soft projection. Tilia is a most have for white florals lovers.
At this point in my relationship with perfumes, it takes a lot to surprise me; to wow me. And when it happens, I get pleasantly surprised. Love at first sniff may happen, but being bowled? Now that’s a rarity. I’m so glad Tilia did that for me. I sniffed it at a shop in Amsterdam, and now it will always be the smell I associate with my holiday there. The linden blossom is the true star here, working overtime till the dry-down even though its job description requires it to stay only fleetingly as a top note. The opening is crisp and citrusy, almost like a wake up call to your senses - like those Thai inhalers I use to help me breathe better before my heavy lifts at the gym. One quick sniff and you feel immediately better. Uplifted. Then as it starts settling down, the notes blend harmoniously to form a scent cloud that’s almost abstract in its nature. The orange blossom comes through just to back up the lime blossom - singing in the background. I don’t know what georgywood is supposed to smell like - apparently it’s woody and amber like - but here I’m assuming that’s what gives it the warmth. Because Tilia does the impossible of staying fresh and crisp and warm at the same time. Longevity is exceptional. As is the silage. My husband sprayed one spray on the back of his palm the first day he tried it and much later in the night (after washing his hand quite a few times) I could still smell it on him. Or maybe the scent was simply stuck to my nose. We went back and bought a full sized bottle the very next day and now I carry a tiny vial in my backpack. I wore it after my shower late in the afternoon and in the morning, my husband asked me if I’d just sprayed it because he could still smell it on me. Tilia will always be the smell of utter bliss for me. Pure sunshine and toothy smiles. Floral sundresses and tall glasses of lemonade. Brunches that last forever and conversations that never end. Ah, happiness.
I get something like linden for a couple of hours and then after that it's just the woody base, and it lasts for ages. Very disappointing. All I smell is the woods throughout the whole thing.
Nice but dare I say a little boring?
My favourite Marc-Antoine Barrois’ fragrance by far. Unique floral scent, very different from others. My nose picked up a tuberose in it, or maybe yellow florals are confusing me. The performance is great, especially for a floral scent. Great frag overall
At first, I found Tilia confusing. The opening to me is a strong blast of laundry detergent (so I get the synthetic vibe others have mentioned) with something irresistible underneath, like cotton candy grapes, or powdered sugar. I smell this sweet, powdery note especially strongly when I exhale after taking a sniff, which is a unique and addicting experience. Then the detergent smell wanes, and out comes the most lovely, natural clean scent. The heliotrope comes through even more strongly with its creamy goodness, without ever becoming overpowering. The dry down is bright and intimate and lovely, clean skin with a hint of wood and rice pudding, just delicious. I could sniff myself all day long. I've worn it a few times now and love it more each time. To me, Tilia smells like safety. Genuinely a masterpiece.
Man, I love linden. This reminds me of la chasse a little. There’s a sweet almost candy like grape note. I don’t think it smells synthetic in the least. I’ve been around plenty of real sweet florals in my time.
I've been wearing it for a while now and I absolutely love it, definitely a unique outstanding perfume you can detect the jasmine almost instantly, unisex and i see how it's slightly more feminine.
if u want to smell like acetone or some sort of clear cleaning solution, this is for you.. 😭
I had huge hopes about this scent. So many colorful reviews about the beautiful notes of linden flowers in this scent...well on my skin this is very synthetic and harsh, who knows how many artificial notes they used...just the ambrofix and georgywood? I don't think so. This smells like a floor cleaner...it assaults my sinuses...this is so harsh! WTF? I guess too many people are getting used to smelling synthetic crap everywhere and now they think flowers smell like that...
Yellow florals and nostalgia. Long lasting. Moderate projection. I got some sharp synthetic notes at the beginning and agree with the reviewer about the chlorinated pool. I still get a little bit of chlorine after several hours, but it’s become nostalgic and pleasurable due to the sweetness. It’s a beautiful fragrance that I enjoy, but I won’t buy a full bottle when my travel size is out. I kind of feel like it’s overhyped because of Quentin and that it’s a niche perfume house. Im convinced that if this was released by a designer house without Quentin’s name attached to it, people would think was just another beautiful and mass appealing fragrance.
A soft opening that reminds me of a spring morning in a jasmine field. The honey is prominent yet not overpowering. Even though it isn’t particularly realistic, this note brings warmth to the fragrance. The performance is decent, with strong sillage and average longevity. I quickly go nose-blind while wearing it, but the projection remains noticeable; it lasts up to eight hours. A solid 8/10 spring and summer fragrance that could also be suitable for winter wear.
Just received a sample for this and ooh I’m in love with a fragrance for the first time since Ralph Lauren’s Glamorous.. this is very close to the beautiful smell of linden trees but has a whole bouquet of other fresh florals going on and it stays with you like a soft boost to your day to make you smile at how good life can be ❤️. I just need to save up to purchase a full bottle now !
I’m in love with Tilia. It has become my signature fragrance.
I know this one gets a lot of love, but to my nose it smells very synthetic. One sweet floral note across its whole life cycle. It gives me a headache and to my nose, it smells so cheap.
Although it's close to "female," it's a fragrance I enjoy using. It's floral, taking me back to the places I visited in my childhood; a calm linden scent, not harsh, just right.
One of the best blind buys out there. People aren’t saying these perfumes lift your mood for no reason. It’s a soft, cozy, and non-intrusive scent that reminds me of freshly washed bed sheets drying outside somewhere in the French countryside The downside is that the projection isn’t very strong - it stays fairly close to the skin, and people usually only notice it when they get near me. That said, the longevity is pretty good, around 6–7 hours on my skin.
What a beautiful and delicate fragrance. 🤍
