This smells like bug spray to me. There's nothing pleasant about it. Almost nauseating.cheap smelling..
Sweet, fruity, white floral, honey, citrusy, vanilla, radiant, sunshiny, feminine, flirty, charming, whimsical, delightful, cheerful, joyful, uplifting, happy, inviting, nostalgic On me this opens with a fruity burst of sweet punch, syrupy pear, and citrusy mandarin orange. The heart blooms with sweet honeysuckle, sweetly citrusy orange blossom, and juicy peach. The dry down envelopes you as it intertwines decadent honey, sensual vanilla, and cozy woodsy notes. The most prominent notes on me are the honeysuckle, orange blossom, honey, and punch followed by the peach, vanilla, and woodsy notes. Overall, it’s a charming, whimsical, and sunshiny, fruity, honeysuckle scent with the actual honey a bit more in the background. I got this back in 2013 whenever it first launched as a blind buy because at the time I really enjoyed Dot, and was really excited to add a honey fragrance to my collection. I’ll admit that at first I was disappointed with this one because it’s more white floral (honeysuckle and orange blossom) and fruity as opposed to a straight up honey like the name seems to imply. Today, I have come to appreciate the scent a lot more, but it’s still not a love for me, but it is a like. Although, I am glad to have it in my collection. Also, the bottle is absolutely adorable! Marc Jacobs seems to be very hit or miss for me, and I don’t own many fragrances from the house. However, one of my long time loves is from MJ, Daisy Love Eau So Sweet. It’s the only MJ fragrance that I’ve actually repurchased. I do also love Mod Noir, and would repurchase that one too, except it’s been long discontinued, so I use mine sparingly. To me, this feels very feminine, and even though it has a slight youthful vibe, I still think it’s suitable for women of any age. I think this works best during the spring and summer, but could work during the early part of fall too. This feels most fitting for casual occasions and work/school. If you’re looking for a beautiful honey scent, I highly recommend Phlur Honey Moon. It’s actually one of my favorite fragrances! Some other honey scents worth checking out are Ellis Brooklyn Bee and B&BW Honeycomb. For fragrances with beautiful honey notes I highly recommend GdT Bianco Latte, Ellis Brooklyn Queen’s Caramel, Narciso Rodriguez For Her Musc Intense (if you can find it) Phlur Vanilla Nectar, SDJ 91, Cheeky Biquíni, B&BW Whipped Honey & Vanilla, Blueberry Bundt Cake For reference, some of my favorite fragrances include Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, Vanilla Candy Rock Candy, Yum Pistachio Gelato, Kilian LDBS, Princess, Sunkissed Goddess, GdT Celeste, Bianco Latte, PdM Oriana, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Burberry Goddess, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Guerlain Mon Guerlain, JHAG Powder Love, Summer Fridays Sunlit Vanilla, LoveShackFancy Secret Crush, Vanilla Twirl, Coach Dreams Starlight, Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows, Queen’s Caramel, Vanilla Salt, Forever Pistachio, Phlur Honey Moon, Heavy Cream, Vanilla Nectar, Beach Skin, SDJ Summer é Amor, 62, 39, Limonada Gelada, VS Vanilla Lace, B&BW Beach Nights, Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Cotton Candy Clouds, Whipped Honey & Vanilla, Fireside Flurries, Love Unleashed
this is such a pretty girl scent. i get a warm, sweet chamomile tea with squeezed lemon and honey mixed in. i’m guessing that tea smell i’m getting is from the honeysuckle or the pear. the honey in this is super light and thin, not thick and syrupy sweet. i do have the older 3.4 oz bottle with the two bees so maybe it smells different from the one with newer packaging. sadly this isn’t the strongest or longest lasting on me but i am in love with the bottle and how it smells so i don’t mind! definitely smells like sunshine in a bottle like lots of people mention. this would pair so well with sunflowers from elizabeth arden!
oh how i wanted to love this one so bad. cute packaging, cute bottle, some of my favorite fruit notes... what could go wrong? well, broken atomizer, a bottle cap that doesn't stay on, and a generic 'department store' fragrance that left me saying, "oh, honey...".
I thought this was discontinued ? No ? This is a weirdly nostalgic scent for me . This was one of the first perfumes I bought when doing "The Marshall's Sulk" and discovering cheapies and blind buys when I knew NOTHING about fragrances. A long long list of mediocre "$24.95ers" all gone to waste . So my first venture into a "designer fragrance" was MJ Honey. The smell really brings me back to 2013. The smell of this is so happy and Springtime -- it's magical . You will feel like you're walking thru an upscale mall that filled with sunshine and bees making honey and you just washed your hair with Johnsons baby shampoo. I cannot really think of anything else that smells like this (Unless it's another Marc Jacobs scent that I have yet to smell. Really perfect gift fragrance for a teen looking for that "first NON-Britney perfume". GRADE: A minus.
Just like daisy dream, this does smell really nice, for the 20 seconds it lasts
I was really excited for this , a honey and vanilla scent by Marc Jacob’s sounds like a sure thing. However, to me it smells like coming out of a bubble bath, the honey suckle orange blossom is giving soap rather than sweet, juicy desert. This was my mums personal before she gave it to me and it’s very much for middle age to older women.
To my nose it is a slightly sweeter version of Daisy. Still just as basic and boring. Hardly any honey. Poorly named fragrance. Decluttering
I'm a sucker for honeysuckle, however this was still not as sweet as i was hoping. I guess i expected a little more from the pear, punch, or fermenty orange blossom. but instead i get a slightly soapy astringent floral with orange oil undertones. it's in the same family as those vintage fresh spicy citrus white florals, like clinique happy. my husband said it reminded him of his mom's jean nate perfume! might become a re-gift for mother's day...
Someone mentioned honeysuckle and now all I smell is honeysuckle and peach. This was given to me by a friend who no longer wears perfume. This one and Jimmy choo. Definately like this one better. Its a bit sweet and floral and smells like spring. Rate: 7/10
It’s likable but very misleading. Doesn’t really smell like honey at all. Honeysuckle? absolutely. The silage is moderate so is the longevity. It has that sunny femme floral vibe of Guerlain’s Champs Elysees which is what it reminds me of most although it’s nowhere near as nice.
Reminds me of big white flowers that used to grow on my water tank as a child , I’d avoided them cause of the smell. I tried to hang in there for the honey but the flower smell was just too overwhelmingly. Sad another one not for me This is #27 out of 114 perfumes I’m trying to use before I buy anymore
Smells like a rich honey or banana like almost. Very pleasant.
Absolutely love this perfume. Long lasting.
My bottles from 2017/18 and some of the embellishments have broken off. I’m not sure I remember what drew me to this when I purchased it. One spray on skin today. The opening is pleasant sure, generic fruity floral air freshener. This doesn’t mesh too well with my skin the longer it sits as it becomes astringent. Scrubbed it off. I was a totally different person when I wore this. A lot of memories attached for sure. Don’t think I’ll be wearing this again on skin. Might be one to sell
I got my wife a bottle because it's her favorite fragrance. Sillage is stronger than I thought it would be. Above average for sure.
This is pretty linear on me, but I love it! The beginning starts off slightly more fruity (a hint of the orange) and the dry down has some warmth (from the honey) but what shines through most on me is the honeysuckle - photorealistic, as someone else said below. I had been looking for a good honeysuckle perfume, some of them can be too cloying or synthetic, but this is PERFECT. It feels sunny, sweet, and airy. It's not overpowering (as long as you don't overspray) and smells bright and comforting. The scent is also slightly nostalgic to me, likely from living in the country and smelling honeysuckle growing up. It really captures that innocent summer day feeling. This could be headache inducing if oversprayed. I only do one spray at a time, and I find the longevity to be pretty good, though I typically refresh a perfume throughout the day, anyway. The bottle is really cute (mine has the extra flower on the side) - fantastic design that feels true to the perfume.
I’m taken aback by those who can’t smell honey, it’s the first note I smelt and it stays around. I like this, its a happy perfume - with honey!
This is such a girl-next-door scent. It's undeniably pleasant, but not memorable in any way. in fact, i just wore it today, but cannot seem to remember exactly how it smelled. Has to be paired with a batting eyelashes and a sweet, girlish smile to be interesting. I don't get honey at all, but understand the concept. This smells like a shampoo that made your high school boyfriend go out of his way to smell your hair. Silage is low, and it lasts 2 hours at most, but i imagine the girl wearing this always carries a bottle in her bag. I'd love if they brought this back, so nostalgic and simple
[original 2013 bottle/formula] Photorealistic honeysuckle. This fragrance is the epitome of sweet young and carefree. Projects monstrously for a fruity/fresh scent and lasts decently well. Going back for nostalgic purposes and it is just so beautiful.
This perfume receives so much Flack for no reason. The layering girlie's know it layers well with most Vanilla perfumes especially Arabian ones. Try layering her with Atheeri or Angham and report back.
I love the way this perfume is named. It is not a honey perfume, but it sure would confuse bees because it smells so much like a bunch of wild flowers. To stop yourself being bitten by bees, I would layer this perfume with a deep dark goth. perfume. Too much goth. is not sexy....but hey, add a bunch of amazing wild flowers...yup, very different and extremely interesting!! Top notes: Mandarin, orange, lily and love apple (love apple has a weak, waxy, tangy smell, nothing like apple) Mid notes: Freesia, violet, daisy, galbanum, petitgrain, peach orange blossom, lily coming through again, a very slight carnation note and rose note. There are also very slight old fashioned aldehydes supporting the orange blossom and backing up that slightly spicy honey/daisy note. Base Notes: Not really worth mentioning, but you can get fabulous base notes with a goth. perfume There are a lot of ionones in this perfume, just waiting to be extended with a dark and dank amber, incense, geranium, juniper berry, bay, cardamon, moss, patchouli perfume. Yup and then I would make sure that I am delicious to humans only (no bees or insects allowed) by adding a really strong gourmand honey note with ripe figs!!! It is pretty obvious that I miss my laboratory....LOL.
the sunlight hitting your skin and the breeze blowing through your hair on the first days of spring. barefoot, sitting in the grass. a bee lands on you, mistaking you for a flower. fresh, sweet honeysuckle. lucky enough to have the stunning bottle, inherited from my tia <3
I am super confused by the ratings on this perfume, om this site. Fruit Punch? Nonexistent. There is no punch. There is no Vanilla. There is very, very little honey. And there is definitely no peach in here. This is a soft floral scent with a hint of sweetness. I dont want to say it's generic, but it kind of it. Smells like something else I've smelled before at like BBW or something. It is honeysuckle and orange blossom forward and the mandarin really comes out in the drydown with a bit of a woodsy note. The ratings on this one and what other people seem to be smelling is nothing like what I'm getting. At least there are a few comments reflecting my sentiment. Its almost like a car freshener, I do see that. Its not terrible but I wouldn't buy again and am glad I got it at a discount store.
Very similar to the Daisy Ever So Fresh flanker with that nauseating fake sweetness. Instead of real sugar, you're served Sweet-N-Low and are left with that sickening aftertaste you can't seem to get rid of. I really tried to like it too; there was potential for something good there.
Blind buy because I liked the cute bottle and it was on sale. Not for me at all, all I can smell is the mandarin orange and it's overpowering. It does settle after a while but the citrus still screams over any other scent that might be there. I tried to perservere but I ended up giving it away. To be fair to the perfume I think it just didn't work with my chemistry, it smells better on my friend than it ever did on me.
I liked this a lot when I smelled a sample of it at the time of its release. I waited too long to get it, and now I got the plain-looking bottle compared to original one with all the hardware. Anyway, it’s not how I remember. It’s quite citrusy at the beginning, and I guess I wanted a more warm and gourmand-like honey. It is light, which I do like, but I wouldn’t call it a delicate smell. There’s something harsh about it at the beginning, and when it dries down the white florals are more prominent; although they’re not suffocating, they do give the fragrance more density and cause it to not be as airy. There is also something mildly headache-inducing about it in the initial stages, but the honey does kick in at the end, which makes it a sweeter floral and tames the sharpness.
Through my sense of smell, this is very similar to Kenzo,Summer.I cant detect any honey notes at all.
A generic, fruity floral scent that's just "meh". I was disappointed that I didn't really get much honey. The bottle is really cute, though.
I was given this as a gift and until I read these reviews I thought I was just bad at detecting scent - the opening to me is like floral hand sanitiser. I can't smell honey at all. I like a light summer scent so this is way too suffocating for me.
