Definitely a more mature scent but I actually really like this. It is very powdery however and very strong so you wouldn’t want to use too much of it at once. It does smell pretty expensive despite being so cheap which makes it a good value. *update* I did not know this was discontinued! Dang, I finished my bottle.

I found a box of half full perfumes for $5CAD at a thrift store, 6 bottles, unbelievably caked with hairspray lol. This was the first time I smelled M. If you didn’t know it was a celebrity scent I never would’ve guessed. I’d say she made this for herself, not like many today, just formulated to be on trend and sell well. This has a big personality, like M. That sweet & salty opening, unique, very comforting & shimmery. The dry down is becoming surprisingly addictive, mysterious & sexy without losing that comforting touch from the opening. Very well blended & balanced. I’m pleasantly surprised how much I’m enjoying it. I think she’ll be my choice when I next work with my most delightful crew of fragrance snobs lol. We love playing guess that frag after a successful thrift trip:)

Found the original 2007 M by Mariah Carey Eau de Parfum with the glass butterfly cap and original packaging. This is the early release version from the initial launch with Elizabeth Arden, featuring the iconic lavender flower bottle and detailed glass cap design. It comes with the original box and is becoming increasingly hard to find in this complete condition. A beautiful collector’s piece from the original formulation era, well preserved and highly sought after.

M feels like watching Disney's Fantasia on a pre-spring rainy winter night and pondering about all the long lost, lighthearted crushes you had years ago... contemplating how grateful you are to experience this fragile, sentimental state known as womanhood, as you put on a metallic purple nail polish before getting a night call from this boy you've been (decently) fantasizing about to meet up for a late night drive... The salty/marine nuance on this bittersweet Tiare flower, wrapped under a fluffy marshmallow makes me think of those mermaids from The Mermaid's Lagoon... 💜🍧🦑🌊🌙 like a sweet entity getting dipped in salty water lake. the incense brushes off any immaturity, amplifying this racy quality about it... ugh!

literally iconic. it’s not for everyone, might smell like old lady barf to some noses, but the ppl who get it get it. it’s powdery, marshmallow incense galore. bottle is gorgg. and also, as a weird personal opinion, it reminds me of Coke if it was turned into a perfume

April 12th 2026 Update: I had in a sense "fasted" from wearing fragrance for a week, totally unintentionally, and I tried "M" again and was delighted that I could smell that beautiful Marshmallow note that "M" is so famous for. I think wearing strong Rose fragrances, and having sprayed a liberal amount on all your clothes, can spoil your nose. I'm so relieved my bottle wasn't a dud, I just needed to detox, wash clothes a few times and start anew! Jan 9th 2026 I used to LOVE this fragrance so much, I don't know if they changed the formula or what, but my current bottle 100ml has a very loose cap, but my old one had that too, a bit of a design flaw, as stunning as it is. Soooo I tried this on again with expectation and was disappointed that the fragrance came out sharp, raced through the notes and my nose struggled to find that luscious "M" smell. I just hope I got a dud, to be honest because this is one of my all time favorites.

I owned a bottle of this in highschool. I could get it really cheap at Riteaid back then. Sadly this one never wore well on me but I loved the way it smelled from the bottle - toasted marshmallows by the beach!

Won’t lie, bought this months ago and sprayed it and was like oh, that’s different, and didn’t wear it at all until tonight and wowzers it is sooooo nice. Surprised at how unique it is especially for a celeb scent. Strange and imo too sweet opening, the dry down is the magic, it’s soft and sweet and creamy but a little dark and smoky to keep it interesting. Love this so much, and the bottle is beautiful, I hate that all of MC’s fragrances seem to be discontinued now.

Very powdery, floral and old lady musky. I couldn’t pick up on much incense, marshmallow or amber tbh. Immediately regifted it. Definitely not a smokey or gourmand but a heavier floral powdery scent.

I got this perfume back in 2008 as a birthday present from my aunt. I was 11 or 12 years old and boy, did I love this perfume. I loved how sweet yet complex it was, with that tinge of "darkness" and mystery, because I wasn't "liKe thE otHeR gIRLs". For me it was kind of a huge step up, as the perfume I had before was overly sweet and childlike, this added the intrigue to the mix that I was longing for as a tween. I remember it came in a gift set with one EDP and a small bottle of perfume - we kept the small one and it still smells sooo good! The perfume that started my love for fragrances!

Don’t let the notes pyramid scare you off on this one- it’s not nearly as dark or smoky as it appears. On first spray I got something very marine and sea watery- light and fresh. When it began to dry down the marshmallow sweetness came through. It’s very soft and sweet and feminine.

I can detect the smokiness but it’s farrr awaayyy from being sharp masculine or oudy it’s too soft ambery smoke and sweet marshmallow imagine LVEB LANCOME but with soft incense not my thing but I can’t say it’s not sophisticated and anyone says that they don’t smell smoke they just didn’t experience a lot of smoky scents and they think smoke = woody strong oud

I used to wear this as a teen, along with paris hilton and a cheap viva la juicy knock off (viva la vida). My aunt got this for me as a gift from big lots for about $20 at the time. I wore this perfume the most at the time. I had to purchase this again, so I'm wearing it right now. All I can smell is juicy berries with amber and patchouli. This is very sweet to me, if you like beyonce heat or midnight fantasy you might like this. Don't let the incense/smoky note throw you off because I had no idea that fragrance note was in here. I can smell the slightest bit of saltiness, but it works out quite nicely. I always thought there were berries in here, but i guess it's the marshmallow that's creating the sweetness. This perfume doesn't smell like marshmallows at all. It doesn't project that well, but it lasts a decent amount of time (approx 6 to 7 hours). This perfume does smell like a celebrity fragrance to me, but its one of the best. I tried the luscious pink flanker, and hated that one because it smelled like cut grass and too much florals.

I've had this for over a decade and you're telling me it has a marshmallow top note? The only thing I smell is incense and amber and maybe patchouli with a slightly floral note. Not the tiniest bit of marshmallow. Anyway, not a fan of the smell, though the bottle is pretty cool. I've been using it to cover up nasty smells in the bathroom cause I'm really not a fan, both of the singer and the perfume.

Wasn’t sure what this would smell like but damn this didn’t disappoint, at first spray it’s spicy I can smell the patchouli but it’s not the overpowering kind thankfully. I can smell some florals but the final dry down is sweet and reminds me of bakhoor which I love, this could easily be an Arabian perfume!

this is probably my favorite tiare . intense tiare is fun but not versatile, same with terracotta . my mom has M on her vanity still, half used, i adore her patience . the two songs this reminds me of is Breakdown and Candy Bling it opens with a salty breeze, and a creeping sweetness . the marshmallow doesnt make this gourmand instead you get a powdery soft sweetness thats constantly beside the incense . the tiare is dominant and isnt cut by any citrus or ylang or coconut, which is what i love about it . the sweetness and saltiness fades away and youre left with a giant tiarè, gardenia, and soft amber/incense . she could really bring this back and the lambs would buy

This perfume is insane! It has this dark, smokiness but also a sweet playful tone that is really rare for a celebrity perfume, and now it's been discontinued! 🥲 As a person, this is EXACTLY what I imagine Maddy Perez to smell like from Euphoria. Honestly, it was my perfect layering perfume. Cheap and versatile, polarising and easy to wear 👌 just why?

It’s a patchouli bomb 💜🌱🌱! Incredibly versatile, can be worn anytime, regardless of season or time of day. On my second bottle, I like it so much I overspray it!

This is a hidden gem. Since it's been discontinued, I have two backup bottles. It really is unique in that I haven't found anything quite like it. I'm not typically into gardenia, or marshmallow for that matter, but this combination just works.

I'm so *obsessed* with this (forgive the MC reference, lol). I am so glad I have 100 ml of this...there's really nothing like it. Smoky, sweet, marshmallows, lush gardenia. It's amazing. If you find it at an affordable price, GET IT!

In case anyone is wondering, I Just found out this perfume and the rest of her fragrances have officially been discontinued! So sad! The manufacturer confirmed this!. This perfume is gonna be hard to find now :(

Mariah did something special with this one! It’s like wearing Au Coeur du Desert while walking around inside the mall with a sugar dusted Auntie Anne’s pretzel. It’s what I imagine Audrina Patridge smells like when she is home from the beach and lighting incense. Such a unique and beautiful blend.

This was my go to office scent when it was first released. I went through several bottles. Decided to revisit it now and am enjoying layering it with other fragrances in my collection. It pairs well with Lancome Idôle Aura and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar

How the heck does something smell like the exact woman I want to embody??? This perfume has a life of its own. You wear it and immediately you become this… empowered symbol of elegance. If scents had a dictionary this would be the perfume under the word ‘pretty’. While the sillage isn’t the best, this definitely lasts long. The best part is even after a shower, the scent is still there, subtle but lingering. For me, this is such a perfect downtown-girl-core scent. It’s what I think a young girl like season 1 Elena Gilbert would wear but also reminds me of my mom when she put on perfume before going to work in the morning and kisses my half-asleep toddler-self goodbye. This was… wow. I’ve got to get another bottle.

I have a rollerball, the perfume has turned dark — not spoiled but richer with age, so receive my impression with that in mind. This smells quite similar to Nest Golden Nectar: sweet, vanillic, powdery, soapy, and softly waxy. M is a balsamic floral with tropical touches that make it smell deliciously like a ripe banana. Smells like vanilla, ylang-ylang, and tonka in equal measure.

It smells purple. I like it, it’s neither strong nor long lasting but for something to wear at home or to bed it’s fine. I don’t find it smokey and I get very little patchouli. To me it’s a sweet balsamic floral with soft spices. Smells a bit like a scented candle, in a good way.
