I have almost full bottle for sale, in europe.
Perfume parlour do an excellent copy, if you’re missing this like me.
This is one of the most unique beautiful fragrances I've ever smelled, it's so refreshing and relaxing in the same time, if anyone have a bottle or even a cup 😅 in Egypt let me know, I will definitely buy. So so sad they stop making those magic potions
#1452 in my "Tour de Fragrance" It is with deep sadness and nostalgia that I expend the last of my Thierry Mugler originals, "Ultra Zest", which in fact has always reminded me of the "Zest" bath soap I grew up showering with. Peppery, minty, citrusy goodness with a touch of cinnamon and coffee. Every breakfast scent but the sausage and eggs. Always a great scent start to the day. I will now join the many who've turned to Dua Fragrances and their annoying little 30ml bottles to keep the Mugler flame alive with their dupe of "Zest" , and reiterate my imprecation toward the evil empire of L'Oreal for acquiring and destroying one of the best male fragrances lineups in the history of perfumery.
Have a bottle about at about 65% full for sale in U.S.
it feels great on a hot day or evening in the open air, and if its humid it will project and behave playfully. Dry and air-conditioned environment will kill the projection and longevity. It's perfect for a yacht day or a dinner at the beach.
A*Men Ultra Zest is one of the boldest and most charismatic creations in Mugler's AMen line. Launched as a limited edition in 2015, this fragrance masterfully combines the intense and gourmand DNA characteristic of the line with a vibrant, fresh and sunny opening. The name Ultra Zest already anticipates the proposal: high-voltage citrus energy, with a warm and comforting base. Olfactory Pyramid and Evolution: Top notes: Blood Orange, Tangerine, Mint and Ginger The opening is a juicy and aromatic citrus explosion. Blood orange and tangerine bring a sweet and juicy, almost effervescent freshness. Ginger adds a light and vibrant spiciness, while mint contributes a minty breeze that gives a sensation of cleanliness and freshness, but without losing density. Heart notes: Coffee, Cinnamon and Black Pepper The transition reveals the spicy and warm heart. The coffee is prominent and brings a toasted bitterness, contrasting beautifully with the initial citrus sweetness. Cinnamon and pepper add warmth and complexity, evoking a slightly gourmand touch, but never cloying. Base notes: Patchouli, Vanilla and Tonka Bean The base is typically Mugler: rich, enveloping and powerful. Tonka bean and vanilla create a creamy and warm sweetness, while patchouli adds depth and a light, sophisticated earthy tone, anchoring the scent in its classic masculinity. Performance: Long-lasting: Excellent (8–10 hours easily, with residue on clothes for more than a day). Projection: Strong in the first 2 hours, then becomes a closer but present trail. Sillage: Moderate to expansive in the first moments, leaving an enchanting trail. Ultra Zest maintains the Mugler tradition of power and striking personality. Despite the initial citrus vibe, this fragrance is not light or aquatic – it has presence and carries warmth and sweetness in the deeper layers. Occasions and Style: Ultra Zest is extremely versatile, but shines especially in spring and fall, when mild temperatures allow both citrus and sweet and warm notes to coexist harmoniously. It is ideal for casual encounters, stylish daytime events and even creative environments at work. In the evening, it can work very well in warmer climates. It is not a formal perfume, but it conveys charisma, youthfulness and energy. Ideal user profile: Extroverted men, who like unique and personality-driven perfumes. Someone who dresses with originality, unafraid to dare. Ultra Zest is for those who like to step out of the ordinary and are not content with linear fragrances. Final Score: 9.6/10 One of the most beloved and collectible editions of the A*Men line. Ultra Zest delivers a vibrant, delicious and memorable sensorial experience, which managed to transform a dense and wintery construction (typical of Mugler) into something sunny and optimistic, without losing the brand's intensity. A true citrus jewel with a gourmand soul. Fun fact: Despite being a limited edition, Ultra Zest has gained cult status among collectors and perfume enthusiasts and is today one of the most sought-after flankers (and resold at high prices). If you have a bottle, preserve it with care: it is, literally, liquid gold!
If anyone has this bottle available for a trade or sale, message me.
The best of A*Men. Has all the gourmand/musky/interesting aspects of the other flankers but add a blood orange citrus. I mean what could be better. Dry down is the glorious A*men dry down, but fresher. Top notch frag.
I’m one of the people who spent a ridiculous amount for a new/sealed bottle long after this has been discontinued. My batch is from 2015. It’s very nice. I understand the hype. The orange is strong as expected. It does die down after a while but it stays for at least a few hours. I also pick up on coffee, vanilla, patchouli, and mint. I’d say the comparison to an orange creamsicle is pretty accurate mainly just because of the vanilla mixed with the orange. Definitely a gourmand fragrance. This is very similar to Kryptomint. If you take Ultra Zest and you take out the orange, increase the mint, and add chocolate, you basically have Kryptomint. It has that same “Thing” in the base that you can always smell. I own both fragrances and I’ll tell you that Ultra Zest is better. Projects for 2-3 hours and then starts to die down to a skin scent. Best for warm weather and really ideal for a warm Summer afternoon/evening. Now the big question. Is this worth the high price currently being commanded on auction sites? No it’s not. It’s a great, charming Orange gourmand fragrance. And if you really really want that; then maybe it’s worth it. Or if you’re a collector. But it seems like people are saying there are some pretty good dupes out there. And If you want that citrus vanilla profile, I’d suggest you try Chanel Allure Edition Blanche. Instead of orange creamsicle, you’ll get lemon meringue pie which is still fantastic especially for the price and being Chanel, amazing quality of course.
No, no, no—I don’t buy the comparison between Ultrared and Ultra Zest. I love them both, but the main thing they share is being in that citrus-gourmand category. With Ultrared, the orange note fades pretty fast—it’s mostly there to cut through the sweetness a bit, and then it’s gone. Ultra Zest, on the other hand, has that mandarin (or tangerine, whichever—I honestly can’t tell the difference, maybe tangerine’s a little less sweet) note that sticks around for hours. I totally get why people are into it—it’s pricey but awesome. Still, it’s definitely not worth $200, no way. *reviewing it 1 year later + adding fact that i took it for my Miami trip this year … it’s in my top 3 Muglers now + Havane and Malt.
If you cant find the OG, I bought the DUA dupe and its really nice. I don't normally wear a ton of mens fragrances but this one is really nice. Very unisex. Its bright, its rich with coffee and citrusy. Love it.
Barrett Fragrances does a nice twist on this profile. “Nothing but Zest”
There is an Actual clone of this now Athena Neon Orange.
IN SEARCH OF this Sunrise ...
This really is the sh*t. Just wish it had slightly better performance.
@Elsiewoo I recommend just opening it and testing it out for yourself. I'm sure you'll like it and if not, an open box 99% full bottle will still sell handsomely well. That way it'll also weed out any one who only wants it to resell for higher, so that you'd be sure that it goes to someone that would use it.
I have a dilemma: I have a sealed 100ml EdT Mugler Amen Ultra Zest. What do i do with it? I was doing a spring cleaning of my office (I worked in lifestyle media for many years), and to make some space I wanted to sell some perfumes I still kept over the years. Doing some research I found this lovely discussion. So now I am in doubt: I have a Amen Ultra Zest 100ml still sealed! Do I open the bottle to find out what you are all raving about? Or do I leave it closed and sell it to one of all the fans here? I would never dare to ask prices like 400€ on Ebay, but I do find it intriguing why this scent is in such high demand and why the prices are so exhorbitant!
I love this scent and it hurts it’s so expensive now. It’s damn near impossible to find and I don’t need to spray anymore but I want to. Great scent, nice and sweet. Like orange creamsicle.
Gentsccents needs to get his nose checked. This is nothing like PR red. This has more depth and less sweet with tangerine/ornage that lingers forever. PR red is just vanilla/praline without any depth. Patchouli adds more depth. Maybe 40% similar to PR red.
This House is what sent me down the rabbit hole buying all the others as they dropped and buying secondary bottles of the ones I already had before I ran out And by the time this come out and I thought I was done & ready to completely move & graduate on from all these amen flankers & then they came with these summer ones. This & kryptomint! Scroll on down the other reviews to know how it smells! I ordered this gem by mail and got it on its release day and later had a bottle in my car on my dresser in my gym bag!! Getting them left & right cheap after dicovering eBay! It wasn’t really popular and was my summer signature scent for 2 years maybe 3…now still got a bottle & 2 halves!!! Thankfull!!!
@nisarsarah9 If you're looking for something as close to this as possible, your best choice would be Ultra Red by Paco Rabanne. I've owned it and it is one of the best fragrances I've ever owned. I highly recommend it!
I have to say this is well worth the hype and quite unique. I love Amen but this doesn’t really smell like the original. It starts off a zesty orange, transitions to a creamsicle and dries down to a strong grapefruit. Reminds me a lot of Bleu de Chanel, Afnan Turathi Blue, etc. Very pleasant scent. Is it worth $200++++? No, but it’s a collectors item and very enjoyable to wear.
Beautiful, zesty, musky orange on a bed of very mild patchouli and vanilla. That’s your nuance, and it works. Unique. Super balanced and harmonious. The orange notes smell like an orange Pellegrino seltzer. Orange popsicle. This smells great but the price, dismal performance, unavailability and viable alternatives make this a 🙂 instead of a 😎. Turns into a vanilla creamsicle skin scent within 20 minutes. It might just lose potency over the years. I guess that some frags macerate while others expire. 😤
I really don't want to put any comments on a discontinued fragrance, especially when the price is whooping 350+ dollars online. I initially didn't like any of A*Men's flankers, and always have been a die-hard fan of A*Men. This is probably the best of the flankers. Creamy orange popsicle as someone would describe it, really fits this fragrance. It is truly pleasant to smell - but not worth $350+ period.
Very nice A*Men flanker. The OG, Pure Malt and Pure Havane are all great, but Ultra Zest may be the most pleasant of the line. Ultra Zest is a joy to wear. All fragrances in the A*Men line share significant DNA, but the bitter orange, tangerine, ginger and mint really make for a zesty opening and a creamy orange dreamcicle into the drydown.
Just thrifted a full tester bottle for $15 and wow, I’m torn between selling it or keeping it. Super refined and smells amazing! Definitely smell 3 components the strongest: vanilla, ginger, and patchouli. The other notes are more subdued to my nose but in combination, its definitely one of the truest standout designer fragrances you can buy. Definitely a year round on any occasion, any time scent (besides the HOTTEST and POLAR COLD days). Glad I found this coveted fragrance for cheap!
This is one of the best perfumes I've ever smelled. It's amazing in that it is very light and refreshing, while at the same time having many layers and being complex. This composition makes it suitable for every occasion. It's very citrusy with spicy complexity.
@JPBoudier review is spot on for me. Really nothing too exceptional or phenomenal being a scent I enjoy but don't fully love. A nice refreshing uplifting citrus scent dulled by patchouli. Vanilla/Tonka follows as an underlying scent with hints of ginger, mint, and cinnamon. Don't smell the coffee so much. Definitely enjoying the dry down more as everything blends together much nicer, but becomes pretty weak and fleeing at this point. Will update after future applications as this is my first wearing impression.
